Dread Gladiator and Aspirant GuideHow to Obtain Warfronts Armor and Weapons

It looks like the Battle for Darkshore Warfront Armor and Weapons comes in several tints, as well as two variations. This is similar to the Arathi Highlights Warfront, in which the ilvl 385 gear looks more elaborate than the ilvl 340 gear.

Completing a full set will reward you with the following achievement: Tall, Dark, and Sinister - Collect any armor set from PvP Season 27 or the Darkshore Warfront.

Warfront Normal Set: Armor pieces of the most basic appearance of the Warfront tint are obtained randomly after winning The Battle for Darkshore Warfront. This reward is automatic and shown on the victory screen of the Warfront and can be obtained multiple times within the same week. You can also farm Darkshore Rares once per cycle for these armor pieces.

Warfront Mythic Set: Armor pieces using the most elaborate appearance of the Warfront tint are obtained randomly from the Warfronts Equipment Cache, a reward given from the quest, Warfront: The Battle for Darkshore, for winning the Battle for Darkshore Warfront scenario for the first time during a cycle. You can also obtain one or two pieces from the Darkshore World Boss, Ivus the Forest Lord/Ivus the Decayed.

Warfront Weapons: All Night Elf and Forsaken themed weapons can be acquired when you win a Warfront, kill rares, or get the cache from the first win of the contribution cycle.

Aspirant Normal Set: Obtained through War Supply Chests, Skirmishes, Normal and Epic Battlegrounds.

Aspirant Mythic Set: Not available in the game.

Aspirant Weapons: Aspirant Weapons are obtained by both methods above.

Gladiator Normal Set: Obtained through the Conquest System by earning 500 Conquest Points every week.

Gladiator Mythic Set: The Elite Appearances are earned by climbing through the ranks in Rated Battlegrounds or Arena.

Gladiator Weapons: Gladiator Weapons are obtained by both methods above.

Please note that the Aspirant and Gladiator Sets will be available once Battle for Azeroth PvP Season 2, scheduled to start in January 2019.

I think the Alliance plate and mail sets are the best and the Alliance cloth isn't bad. Very disappointed with the Alliance leather. All of the Horde sets are pretty cool.

Comment by Sunreaver

Okay, I usually prefer Alliance gear... but those Horde sets are just SLICK

Comment by Morfaroth

Why are the spaulders ridiculously huge on male Night Elves ? :( It's so dumb.

Comment by Gizmok

I sort of wish they had made silver and purple a colour option for the night elf armour, and that the moonglaives could be classified as a fist weapon or similar, since theyre really used by sentinels, guards and such.

Maybe something a bit less.... bulky? and something a little more tribal-ish for night elves too?

Much too late feedback from me though. I guess it'll just stay wishful thinking.

It's not all out bad eitherway. It's just not really spot on.

Comment by Alarialas

Really hate that the glaives will be limited to Demon Hunters. We see warriors, hunters, rogues, even priests wielding them in lore! It should be a toy that transforms your mainhand weapon into a moon glaive; that would really be ideal. But if not, at least make some kind of two-handed version so warriors and hunters can use them! They're the traditional wielders of the moon glaive, for Pete's sake!

You could even just classify them as swords like the Warglaives of Azzinoth! Just do SOMETHING!

Comment by Draymar

I don't quite understand why the one handed sword appears to be using a quest reward skin, instead of something more unique like all the other items on this list.

Comment by Aengmar12

Some of the weapons and some of the sets, I like, but one question remains: In a Warfront that features Forsaken and the use of blight is quite evident, then where is the option for a gasmask-like piece of headgear, possibly as a cosmetic item? One of the sets is even called "Blightbringer", who normally wear such things.

I am fairly certain that I speak for a great number of players on this.

Comment by Blackbeardswe

Holy !@#$, that mail forsaken armor. That helmet, oh man, i wish i could use that on plate.

Comment by MaXiiczek

Am I the only one who think that locking a gear set recolor behind a 1 random item per 2 weeks RNG barrier is a terrible idea? Because if I understand it correctly, that's what Warfront Mythic set is :( And I really like that color variant :(

But there is still a chance that this set will be awarded more frequently later when they add heroic Warfronts, one can hope...

Comment by Eluvia

I am sad that horde hunters get a gun. I do not see any Dark Rangers using those, sad me.

Can you get xmog by killing rares during the Battle for darkshore scenario? I've never received anything or seen anyone else get anything by killing them and handy notes doesnt even load during the event/

Comment by RoninChaos

Sorry for the dumb question, but how do you get these items? In the scenario or out in the world doing pvp?

So, can you recieve Aspirant Mythic pieces from the PVP Chest even if you don't do Rated content?

Comment by Novver

How do you get the Sinister Aspirant Alliance Mail - Purple feather one? Cannot find any info on it!

Comment by Zovesta

Personally, I think Alliance cloth looks the best, but Horde's everything else trumps Alliance's. Nice sets all around, though. :)

Comment by kaleestraza

Are you guys sure the Mythic Aspirant set made it into the game? As far as I can tell not a single piece has been logged into your database, and I certainly haven't been able to loot any yet.

Comment by Saikoh

What joke. Ive been trying to collect the set using 4 mail wearing characters for 3 months now. All I have are gloves, shoulders and legs.

Comment by MisterJoshe

The chains on the front of the sinister Darkshore cloth belts horribly clip into your character on almost every Horde race, but looks perfect on a Human. They made a Forsaken themed set that doesn't even correctly fit on the Forsaken character models, what the actual ^&*! Blizzard.

Comment by radicarl

I noticed an error with this. Deathguard Spellblade uses the exact same model as Deathguard's Blade. I'm not sure what the image shown here is of, but it's not the Spellblade.

Comment by Nydris

Here I am years later really wanting to get one of the armor sets as a transmog but the queue times are beyond prohibitive. Now I'm wishing there was a soloable option. Guess this is what I get for being late to the party :'D

Also big agree that glaives should be available to other classes. Having a character on an RP server who is supposed to be a Sentinel and inexplicably can't wield a glaive is sad.

Comment by DeathinJune

Just wanted to tell anyone who earned the elaborate Sinister Gladiator PVP set for plate. The helmet is the wrong color. I have opened multiple tickets for Blizzard to fix this to no avail. What a shame since decent-looking "black/purple armor" is so hard to come by. The Elaborate Deathguard variant from the Warfront helmet plate color is "pink/purple", with gold trimming instead of the bronze trimming, and "black/purple" color like in the elaborate Sinister Gladiator version. If you want to compare them, look closely at the non-elaborate Sinister set helmet, that is what the elaborate Sinister helmet color should look like. See for yourself.

In Patch 9.2.5. I joined Wow later in the series (December 2020). I have been trying to catch up, have a ways to go but have made significant progress. I want to get all the armor type of this armor for the Night elves- does anyone know if the character out there doing the framing have to be phased to Battle for Azeroth (some of the characters I want to do the farming for these items are not phased to BfA)?
