Much needed item!

This is a reward for completing the 激战破碎群岛 achievement in Legion. It involves completing 30 world quest related to pet battles, of which there appear to be 3 available (randomly selected) per day.

This magnificent artifact originally had form of a red sphere that expands quickly when the bearer holds in in their hand. Now after being infected by the Legion, its southern hemisphere has turned pure white. What will this mean for the being trapped within?

why blizard do idiotic limit this low dunno
at panda was so long 500 i was forced delete ton of pet .lor of caged sell or destroy
now still limit is 1000

i reach this limit several time

i have large colection 710 unique pet
mostly im at 950-980 pet arround
keep selling pets
except 1-2 not have dublicated battle pet.(cagable some pets have multple copes for use or sell)

so seriously i dont see whats this harm

like wh force so long 500 then now at force 1000

and its look at legion will be 1500 and with item
and its unclear how u get

i dont have any collector edition except 2 non store pet.not have any promo blizcon etc pet.

i see some people have 750 + unique pet
in game posible more
so why forced 1000 limit no idea.
what can be harm if was now 1200

so will be super hard while u lvl up collect pet

3 year ago i get 400 pet achi.
i wish at least with 7.0 patch limit raise like 1200 at lvl 110 with his item 1500
otherwise i will give my peice of mind badly.

Even though that I was gutted that the epic battle-stones didn't make it due to the overpowering statistics it will bring to the pets, this item is the perfect replacement.

Instead of having a battle-stone that upgrades pets to epic quality, the pet portal will give you 500 extra pets for you to carry in your pet journal, but ONLY once per account. Dead handy if you want to have a megaton of pets!

If they're smart they'll turn this into an adventure, and NOT make it super easy to obtain. Making the game too easy is how Blizz has lost so many subs - people get bored if they have nothing to do. . . and then they leave the game. The worst example of this is of course making items obtainable through follower quests, where the player literally does nothing but stand at their mission table, send followers on a mission, then WAIT around, bored, for their followers to stop having an adventure THE PLAYER should have been on!

Obtaining this item should be via a long pet-based questline, and it should take more than a few hours to obtain. . . it should take more than a few days to obtain. THIS is how you keep players busy, by making many things take TIME. This should only be logic, seeing busy-ness is directly related to time—it's quite impossible to be busy and not be taking up time.

Is it just me or does this sort of feel like blizzard is being cheap here? Opening up more pet slots doesn't seem to be something that would require to be unlocked. It is not like you unlock extra mount slots.

You work hard to earn most of your pets. Even flying around the world collecting them is some work put in. Why make us work to unlock more pet slots? It is like asking us to work, so we can work harder. It sort of seems to just be the type of thing that should be free, or one of those "Happens by itself" achievements. The ones you would complete anyways as an average pet battler.

Well saved inventory space with clothing UI , now we have to fill them with caged pets till we are done with the achivement :D +100 with the patch and rest +400 with the achivement would work better really :/

I hate that we need to do so much to get this item. I'm not going to be able to get a single Legion pet until I complete this. Going to be a long time till I can learn any new pets.

At this point, I wouldn't be so bothered by this if they actually rotated the world quests like they did with the menagerie in WOD. But nope, it's repeats every day so this is taking forever and I have a bag full of caged pets waiting to be unkenneled.

What really irks me is outside of this major major major flaw, and gating increasing the NUMBER of pets we can have is a major flaw, Legion has been a pretty solid expansion. I'm enjoying the World Quests. But I am entirely tired of logging on and seeing repeats every single day for pet quests. I am also sick of explaining why this is a problem to non-pet collectors. I spent most of MOP and WOD perfectly crafting teams and picking out ideal pet breeds. I hate that they took away checking my progress against other pet people on my server, because 50 of my pets are caged waiting for this bullhockey achievement to complete.

But hey, at least I'm making progress on 全谱系制霸.

The default limit is set at 1,000.

Those who aren't big battlers may not see the need for this item, as there are less than 1,000 different pets in-game. However, if you want to keep different breeds of various pets, or multiples of the same pet for certain tactics, this is really helpful.

破碎的宠物传送门 will be sent per mail by 魔术师瓦西里恩 after completing 激战破碎群岛.

There was an additional item introduced with 8.1: 裂开的宠物传送门. Costs 1000 抛光的宠物符咒, sold by 快乐的霍罗阿 (H)/玛德琳·奈特利 (A).

With 9.1, according to this article the hard cap will be removed.
"Total number of pets owned. You can have up to ~~%d total pets and~~ three of the same pet."
Save your charms.

This is awesome. I am so happy because I'm a casual battler and I already hit 1000 pets. I'm very shocked Blizzard actually gave us a useful item instead of taking things away from us in this case.

I like my battle pets, I like finding and taming them .. but I do NOT like fighting these damned overpowered pets the various pet NPCs have. Screw that :-( So I guess I'll never get this bonus and just be stuck with the thousand I already have.

The hardest part of this achievement is the RNG of getting all these world quests to spawn.

If people are having such a hard time with doing world quest pet battling then might I suggest this. http://www.wow-petguide.com

This little handy guide has been a joy for me and has helped so much that I didn't even realize till I ended up with the achievement that I had done it.

It's got what pets you need, what their abilities should be placed at, and it's got a turn by turn explanation for you to follow.

I know there are lots of people who are only casual about pets, but you should give this a look at. It'll make the world quests go by alot faster and easier for a lot of you.

This is a reward? This is something that needed to be put in game on patch day. I was hoping for some neat pet toy that would make them jump through a tiny portal like the ones Warlocks have. Kind of a lame idea, but better than this.

*update* 6/6/18

Just read that this item will now be purchasable with the new pet currency in BFA, which means that not only was doing this achievement a waste of time, it's also a slap in the face for those that put all the time and work into it and now it can just be bought. Awesome work there, blizz, you're really in tune with the players.

It's not a solution for everyone - but if there are a few pets that share the exact same movesets, you can use the different pets as a workaround to the total pet cap until you work up to 30/38 激战破碎群岛 and get your expansion stone.

As an example, if you have:

You have every breed of snail/whelk/conch. There will definitely be repeats like this for some cats, rats/mice, toads/frogs, etc.

There may still be situations where you need more than one of a single breed for a particular strategy in which case you'd still need 2/3 or 3/3 of some pets - but it is still an option to be able to have a more functionable stable without needing to have so many pets "caged and waiting" as commenters have mentioned.

If you really want to get into it, you can use www.wowhead.com/battle-pets to filter for pets with the same moves. You can find the number to use for the "Has ability #..." filter from the URL of any battle pet skill as the bit after "pet-ability=".

Example: if you look up 软泥之触, the URL is www.wowhead.com/pet-ability=445/ooze-touch. The bit after "pet-ability=" is 445, so you would type 445 into the "Has ability #..." filter. Do that for whatever moves you're looking for. There will be times where adding a set of moves reduces the result to null, you can remove one filter at a time until you're back to a workable set.

On the one hand I had no idea there was a limit to how many pets we could have.

I can see why ppl are upset with having to do this achieve to increase the max (instead of Blizz just doing it anyway). But I can see that any player who needs 1500 pets is probably going to do the achieve anyway.

Only thing I'd personally complain about is I'd rather have a cool item from this achieve. Though the likelihood of a cool item, given past achieves, is pretty slim anyway.

I don't get why they call it a portal - it would be great if you were able to port yourself to a magical place where all the pets you own could be safely running freely around some big field or forest. The use of the word "Portal" seems misleading

About (damned) time we got 破碎的宠物传送门

Lately I have been spending MORE time caging battle pets that are cageable and then taking up bag and bank space with them just to be able to capture ANY of the newer capturable battle pets.

It's quite simply nothing but an extreme annoyance. Anyone that can't appreciate the desire to have multiple BREEDS of a LOT of the pets might be buying a lot rather than battling a lot. Some people care only about how many unique pets they have, while others need stables that include multiple copies of certain pets, which may include multiple breeds.

Since what pets/breeds you may need in the future is up to Blizz, the limit has been punitive IMO for a LONG time now. I was certainly suffering with this problem BEFORE WoD.

Can't see all the pet battles on your map? Make sure you haven't turned off the pet battle icons. Click on the magnifying glass at the top right of your map and tick pet battles.

I achieved this soley through World Quest Auto Completion from Class Hall Thingy.
Don't have enough pets and completing pet world quests was my default when nothing else useful was up.
Slow, but easy.

With the release of BfA (8.0.1), Alliance players can now buy this from Madeline Netley (Stable Master) in Millstone Hamlet, Stormsong Valley. The cost, at time of this post, is 1000 抛光的宠物符咒. I haven’t started my Horde BfA character yet, so no idea where equivalent vendor is, but the cost will be the same.

Before buying this item from Madeline Netley, as I almost did, check to see if you completed the Battle on the Broken Isles achievement in Legion first! I had done so back when Legion was out and totally forgot. I wonder if you are told you already used it if you try to use it again. I only looked here because I was curious what the current pet slot limit was since I was over 1000 already.

So I wasted 1000 pet charms on buying this from the vendor in Stormsong. I've only started to do pet battles since BFA was released, so was unaware of the achievement from Legion, until I actually got the achievement & received this in the mail (I've been doing BFA & Legion pet World Quests & even the Pandaria stuff now I got enough pets).

I returned to Madeleine Netley to try to sell this new one back to her for a refund of pet charms, but alas no joy! 'The Merchant Doesn't Want That Item'.

I opened a ticket to petition a GM to refund my 1000 pet charms, but got nowhere. I requested this be considered for a future change, but highly unlikely.

Feeling extremely miffed about the 1000 pet charms I spent!

I accidently bought the 1500 pet one, which I already had. On buying it wrongly there was a message that I could refund it within 2 hours, and it worked instantly. Bought the correct one on the last page, and I am now done with everything related to the pet tokens. Oh joy!

I got this item, because I have many alts and got it through ship missons in your base town, but it actually would really be a PITA, if you had to farm it the normal way. You had to cage all the pets not needed and send them to bank chars, so you still can collect new pets, level them up and create teams to beat the WQ NPCs. I just recently found out about the 1000 barrier the hard way while googling my a*s off why I couldnt learn a new dropped pet... Is it so hard to make a better error message. e.g. like "You already collected 1000 pets"... Everyone would understand this message and would find out way sooner about ways to increase this limit.

Thank god I dont have to do the Legion achievement, because I rarely played during that time because of job issues. I just wish I knew about this limit earlier, then I wouldnt have stopped doing the ship missions. Now I probably dont have enough time to get the 2000 and the buyable pets before the new addon.. At least I hope they dont remove the ship missions.

If your account limit is 1,000 pets but you did complete the 激战破碎群岛 achievement, submit a ticket and the GM will send you an item to use.

This is actually a ridiculous item. We are already limited to 3 of any pet, so why have another limitation to have to work around? When new pets are added your max pet slots should naturally increase by 3 from the individual pet limitation alone.

Someone posted that blizzard introduced this item so only the actual collectors benefit, but that is circular logic. If you are running into the limit you are by definition a collector. Why limit it at all if you are just going to let people increase it?

I would rather see blizzard make available breed a select-able option like skills and limit pets to 1 if they are having performance issues.
