It's nice to see that Blizzard added some incentive to farm the timewalker dungeons. As it was with the single 500 coins per quest per event, with so few coins dropping from the regular bosses in timewalker dungeons, there was little reason to continue beyond the five dungeons needed for the event quest.

Based off the model of Muruzond, the final boss of End Time. The ingame model is a mob in the Black Morass 5 man dungeon, with the added armor.

This mount can drop off of any timewalking boss killed during the timewalking events. Good luck everyone!

I have to say, I have never been more excited for any other mount that was announced to be added to WoW. I and my friend are prepared to spam the crap out of Timewalking for this. The idea of an infinite dragonflight mount is amazing imo and I honestly wasn't expecting a new, polish, refined model for it. Can't wait for 6.2.3 to drop.

This is a very pretty stormdrake that goes well with the Cata dungeon additions that I will be thrilled to have.

But...
I was really hoping for the iconic glowy fracture pattern of the Infinite Dragonflight if/when we finally got a mount out of them. Obviously it is a much better quality model and texture than we see timewalking through Black Morass, just not quite the infinite drake i was hoping for. =/

I read this mount can come from every boss in time walking. People shouldn't have any trouble getting this in 1-2 days. I just got done saying they need to make a mount like this a few weeks ago. I had no idea they were.

I'm wondering: afaik, time-walking dungeons don't have lockouts - does this mean that this mount could (theoretically) be easier to grind than ones from hero dungeons that one probably has only one shot per day for?

Imagine: 7 days of running dungeons with a full group, hence no waiting times, at what - half an hour per dungeon each? This is easily equivalent of a month of grinding hero dungeons...

Dropped for me from Ozumat in Throne of Tides.

It was the 12th dungeon I'd done since Timewalking started, at a rate of about one per hour. Whether I'm really lucky or the drop rate is really reasonable remains to be seen. But at least for a few hours I get to hover around on the first reported drake drop on my server!

I have grinded since Cataclysm Timewalking was released Wednesday. I have killed 207 bosses in total. If we multiply this number by 5 we get the total bosskills from my party which is 1035 bosskills. I have not seen the mount drop once. If the percentage was 1% I believe I should have seen it atleast once but I have not. I would think that the drop rate is less than 1%. Perhaps 0.1% even, but nothing I can confirm. But I think we can discard reports of 1% drop chance.

ive farmed cata tw now for about 8 hours today, someone got a stonedrake and thats all for now, probably around 200-300 loots and havent seen this mount drop at all yet.

Nearly a thousand badges just from the dungeon, not even seen it drop for anyone. Does the thing link to all party members if it appears? If so this droprate is laughable.

I can understand 1%, or even 0.5% but TW is a very limited time event, it's not like you can chain farm it for days on end. It better not be something ridiculous like 0.1%

I guess this is my fault for factoring in TW being crap content into what I suspected the devs would set the rates at. Of course they think it's *fun,* and set the rates accordingly.

On my very first Cata TW dungeon, 2 mounts dropped (sucks I didn't get it). I was thinking these would be given away like candy. Have done 46 dungeons since and not dropped again. Looking back, that was one lucky group.

It seems like this mount might be less than a 1% drop chance, going by my own experience (almost 300 timewalking bosses killed, w/o seeing a single person loot the mount), other post on WoWhead, and talk with a bunch of battle tag buddies that are also farming seperately. Either way, being a mount collector, i'm in this for the long haul, and the thought of seeing that purple text in the loot window of a time walking boss keeps me going. Good luck guys!

I imagine the drop rate for this mount is around 0.1% from ANY time-walking boss which means that you should see someone get this mount 1 in every 55 dungeons.

Of the 6 dungeons, 2 have 3 bosses, and 4 have 4 bosses meaning on average you will be killing 3.7 bosses per dungeon, giving you roughly 0.37% chance on getting this mount and 1.85% chance of someone getting this mount in your party.

This drop rate is too damn low for a limited time event, seriously. How is this even remotely "fun"?

Regardless, I'll be repeating the insane 12hr+/day until I have it. If I even get it. Ugh, whatever.

After just over 106 dungeons finally managed to get this from Drahga Shadowburner within Grim batol first drop ive seen out of all the runs ive done and I was lucky enough to get it, im guessing its lower than 1% drop rate

I have been spam Qing it for awhile, there's been a few thing's I've noticed I've done since this whole thing started:

- I haven't left my chair in over 7 hours
- I smell bad because I haven't left said chair
- My left hand went numb at hour 5. I am currently ignoring it, seems to be doing okay
- I cry when I get End Time (Baine / Jaina = sad panda)

Also, as many others have stated:

- There's no way in hell this thing is 1% (I would offer my first born to the WoW gods for it to be though)
- It's bloody repetitive

Edit: Because this mount just came out a ton of people are hardcore farming this. I am tanking on my warrior who has 21 gem slots + legendary, feel free to add me Thrall#1205

-Never saw anyone in my grp got mount so multiple my kills with 5 (1570 loots w/o mount)
-Not even someone in my guild and friendlist got the mount.

Im trying since yesterday, nothing stoping me. Muh raid leader said, everyone will come to raid with upgraded gears. I didnt do any mythic dungeon yet. Actually i don't even care. I will drop this mount no matter what. I was an orc now im an undead but im still trying. Don't give up, turn up the music + dance + dps.

I've been running these pretty much nonstop since they were available, and haven't even seen it drop for anyone.

Bags are full of 失落希望束带 though
Becoming more and more relevant boss by boss
Really wish there was some kind of failsafe, like how there is a chance to get the easter mount out of the eggs, but if you're unlucky, you can still buy one for a large amount of the currency.
Ah well, at this rate, I'll have enough badges for both of the other timewalking mounts...

Welp, no drake for me this time around.
I guess I only did about 300 bosses, which is a lot less than many people here I guess, but still managed to frustrate me to the point that I sat in my garrison fishing up lunarfall carp to calm myself down. Still didn't see it drop for anybody. Feel the need to make macros to spam at the beginning of dungeons for how not to die to simple mechanics. Will maul next person who queues as a tank or healer "for the faster queue" and then doesn't know how to play.

I got the mount last night after ~20 runs. Got it from the first boss in End Time.
I've bought the 2 other mounts from BC and WOTLK TW. Was thinking maybe "Fickle and savage, these drakes slip in and out of time until they find a worthy rider." has something to do with it?
Or am I wrong? Someone without the other 2 mounts got timereaver?

My brother and I each have an account linked to one battle.net tag (dual boxing), and we both have run 50-60 dungeons (or 100-120 in total). Neither of us have seen it drop for anyone in the group, which is a tad disheartening :(.

This needs an alternate timewalking currency price. Make it 10k badges or whatever. This is the worst grind I've ever done in any game period, and I've done some grinds that would make most people lose the will to live ten times over. I've spent two 24 hour sessions grinding for this thing since Tuesday. This isn't fun. Its sadistic and evil.

P.S: I have 6k badges, and if it dropped on the next boss I would still be recommending the same thing. It would be good to at least be given an actual drop chance from the devs. Its like they expect us to somehow "enjoy" this crap. I'll enjoy it when the mount drops - assuming my door isn't beat down by cops due to a noise complaint from me flipping out from getting kicked by morons and assuming I'm not mid-stroke and unable to type properly or mid heart attack and clutching my chest when it does drop.

And no, I'm not kidding. I'm surprised I haven't been shot or died of a stroke yet. This grind will literally kill me if the mount doesn't drop here soon.

Done 124 Cataclysm Timewalking Dungeons so far since Wednesday, still nothing. Seems like its got to be 0.1%. Out of all those runs I've seen 1 mount total.

Edit: Final count for the week was 202 Timewalking Dungeons, with a grand total of 707 boss kills. Saw 2 mounts total, neither of which I received. I'm exhausted :(

I'm not farming this anymore; I just do the event quest, perhaps some runs with my alts to experiment with old sets, and that's it. I saw it drop twice, and both times it was for people on their first couple of dungeons. It stopped me right in my tracks and I said, screw it, If I am lucky, then I'll get it when I am lucky. Anger and burn out are simply not worth this, even if it's seriously awesome looking.

永恒时空撕裂者的缰绳 have a small chance to drop from every single boss of the 3 TW dungeons event (BC, LK and Cata). Its a personal loot, and if you forget to get the loot or lost somehow, it will appears in mail box. You can pass the mount to the others in your group in case you already have it.

In wowhead database 5 bosses already show average %

Boss 高阶预言者巴林姆 = 0.7%
Boss 乌比斯将军 = 0.6%
Boss 胡辛姆将军 = 0.6%
Boss 埃鲁达克 = 0.3%
Boss 阿萨德 = 0.3%

I think that the chance of drop is between 0.3% to 0.7%, but we need to wait for more info to be sure about that. I will keep updating this every new boss info arrive.

At this point, the rates discovered are more clear and sad. Lets check new data collected 2 years after my last update:

We can compare the rates with oondasta mount (0.1%) and rukmhar mount (0.2%), the difference is you can kill as many bosses you want during TW while world bosses are restricted to weekly lookout with every alt.

This info may change in the future, is just a reference to you know that the farm wont be easy!

Over 3500 tokens deep in farming, haven't seen it drop at all.

Beginning to think the whole idea of the mount is that it doesn't exist and Blizzard just told everyone it does so it acts as an incentive to do Timewalking Dungeons.

Or it's drop chance can't be described in numbers, decimals and percentages.

I was thinking, in doing the 100 dungeons I have done, considering it has a personal drop chance, then for each boss it has 5 chances to drop total, one for each person in the party. I would know if someone got it either from loot chat ~~or their feat of strength being awarded~~. Including my chances that means I have seen about 2000 opportunities for this to drop and I have not seen it once....

Yea I can pretty much agree with the others here its a load of BS ,over 40 runs and havnt seen it drop for any one in those runs .this might as well be listed up there with the other garbage they call content in mount farming with the extreme once a week rare spawns (Pound Fist , Void Talon ect )
As some one who is used to farming mounts , closing in on 300, I have no problem with a little work but don't champion this as the patchs main addition

So, I've ground out the insane title before, and that was pretty bad. I didn't sleep for 3 days in a row so I could keep my motivation going. I have done over 120 dungeons with 400+ boss kills and have yet to see anyone in any of my groups get the mount. This is infinitesimally worse as I have the potential to never even see the mount. Maybe make the mount a grind for double what the others cost, so at the very least results will be static. Having spent 50 hours this week farming this mount to no avail, I can say that this amazing mount will be all the sweeter when/if I do get it.

Killed 700-800 bosses. Saw only one drop for someone else.

*earned 7,000 just this week trying to get the mount. My group had two players with a little over 1,100 kills one of which only saw one drop and the other three, neither got the mount.

Drop rate seems something along the lines of .1% to .01%.

At the start of the timewalking event, I started running dungeons as a restoration shaman. Queued up with random people all throughout the event and got around 8400 Timewarped Badges in the process. I don't know how many bosses I killed. Never saw the mount drop for anyone.

I just wish there would have been more dungeons in the cycle. These got boring really, really fast.. way faster than the Wrath ones.

Waiting for the next Timewalk to start, so I can queue up again :)

I have an idea for those that really really want the mount.

blizz has a very very cheap sale for wow+wod. use RAF to create a second license under your battlenet account and level up another character. It should go fast with RAF and pots. Anyhow, learning to multibox is easy and it's not illegal. Then you have 2 characters that you can multi box in the TW dungeons which effectively doubles your chances at this mount.

Gah, so the drop rate seems to be much worse than I thought. I was using Rarity and it felt pretty much in line with what I experienced. I saw someone else get the mount after my 32nd boss kill and I got it on my 64th boss kill. But I feel for the others who've done so much more than I. Hopefully you'll get yours the next time around, and good luck.

mount drops from personal loot. does that imply that before starting the dungeon, the leader needs to change the loot system from need before greed or group loot to personal?

At the moment my group and I have been farming this mount since cata dungeons were out. I believe the drop chance is just as low as 神圣玛瑙云端翔龙缰绳 and such. We are at 1355+ attempts in... I'm assuming its a 1 to 2000 chance of getting it. I might be wrong but its just some info I'd like to throw out there.

*Update* Seen 4 of these drop in total. But one of our guys got it on the 826 attempt. Got it from the second boss in Shattered halls.

I told my group and then i got kicked... This is just crazy seeing how much time people are willing to put into this farming

After 400+ attempts, i've seen no mount drops from me or other players :( From what I see from the comments and other people who have the mount, I'm pretty sure that's it's between a 1/500 to 1/1000 drop chance.

After about 320 cata timewalking boss kills without Rarity addon with no luck, I got Rarity for kill tracking and then looted 138 bosses in BC timewalking and got lucky. I was completely ready to queue for 20 more timewalking dungeons at that point, as it was the final boss of Shattered Halls. I had been under the impression that this mount didn't exist and I'd never get it. It didn't hit me right away. I saw epic and my mind kinda stopped and I had to reread the text a good 3 times for it to sink in. Rarity even took a screenshot.

I have been tanking on a level 100 DK that has gemmed level 85 gear and the 2h weapon from Deathwing. I also like my heirloom trinket to summon void tentacle things. I still need about 4100 badges to get the last mount, Ironbound Wraithcharger. So I'll be tanking more of these, to get more badges and I'll be hoping to see another player get lucky. :)

Here's my story.

I, like others, have been trying to farm this mount ever since cata timewalking was introduced. I must've killed about 200 bosses during the cata event, but never got it.

But do you think that made me give up? NEVER. I used my other account to level my 85 hunter to 100.

Now I had two lvl 100 hunters that I could multibox. Ever since wednesday I've been killing bosses nonestop. I was about to give up..till..

I joined the last dungeon. We kill the second boss, and I loot it.

I saw an item with an purple color. My mind flipped! I finally got it! I couldn't believe my eyes after sooo many tries I finally got it in its full purple glory.

I looked again...it was a rare tailoring recipe..it was epic..it dropped from the freaking boss :(

I read the comments and I want to ask if ANYONE got this mount while LEVELING in timewalking dungeons.
Asking this because I have about 4 caracters 70+ that I want to gear / level in TW's and I am curious if I should continue the grind on my main or is it a chance to drop while doing this.

Already got the 2 badge mounts so ... I would prefer to level if possible.

Don't lose hope folks... we farmed with a group of 5 and it took 1021 bosskills until it dropped. 7 bosskills later another one dropped, so if someone else gets it don't think yours will take another 1000 kills now (thankfully that's not how it works).

Have faith and optimize your gear.

Use artifacts such as Shadowmourn or Fangs of the Father (which are pretty easy to obtain now). If you still have it, the legendary cloak from MoP is very powerful, even as a tank (I'm not sure about the legendary meta, so I used a common MoP meta for the socket bonus).
Use epic gems (TBC gems fit in every socket and give you full 10/ 5+15 stats. MoP gems will scale down to 8/16 or 4/8). Try to match the colors, because the socket bonus does not scale down. Therefore Items with str/int/agi socket bonus are best but it depends on what your stat priority is. I think most classes prefer primary stats over secondary.
Use the epic 715 Ring from the legendary questline (the legendary ring itself is useless). The WotLk questline in Icecrown gives you a strong ring with a socket, too.
Use engineering goggles and/or Ghost Iron Dragonling (which can be used by everyone and gives you 3times +30 stats and a cute little dragon fighting for you!).
Use old enchantments and remember to use shoulder and leg enchantment if you use items <600 ilvl. (WoD > MoP > Cata)
Use a belt buckle (if your belt is <ilvl 600 ofc).
Use flasks, bufffood and runes (old stuff is alright and in the end it will save you a little time).
If you are a tank, remember to use healingpots and use your cds for heavy trash pulls, not for bosses.
Use aoe cc like aoe silence from b11, stuns, and knockdowns.
Some items and setbonus skale pretty insane, so check different gear sets from MoP and even Cata (e.g. as a DK you can use gold to buy the Firelands tank-set with a very powerful setbonus in Orgrimmar, that also works for dd specs).
Use items with as many sockets as possible. Siege of Orgrimmar is a good source for gear with 2-3 sockets and a small group can clear it easily. You can also go ToT to kill Ra-Den if your group can handle it.
WoD gear with sockets or leech is also very strong.

Edit: And a few more hints: you can open the door in Shattered Halls if you have rogue or a key (which every blacksmith can make from Ghost Iron).
As a DK you can darksim a lot of spells and WotLk TW has a lot of undeads to control as a pet (e.g. those casting spiders!). Cata only has a few in Endtime (the Sylvanas encounter).

I sincerely hope my post gave you a bit of hope and you might be able to optimize your gear accordingly.

If anyone cares, I did not bother looting anymore (since my inventory was stuffed). It was in my mailbox after the last boss of The Arcatraz, so I assume he dropped it (#1021). As someone else mentioned, it will be mailed to you but there is no special notification, nor is there any acm. Fyi, the other person in my group got it from the second boss in Terrace (there was a loot notification in the chat, just like any other bossloot).

The other one was level 97 btw, so it can indeed drop for ppl unter level 100.

Guys, I can just tell you: keep up the hunt!!

I almost went crazy(almost..yeah) because I wasn't able to handle the same instances over and over again. I begged to Fortuna quite too often and surely something isn't right with my hands, but!
Today at the last day of BC I finally GOT it! A total of 520 Bosses were necessary to FINALLY let this purple little thing pop up in my loot and with it this ultimate Rarity achievement. I lost my nerves and didn't do anything else but it was so totally worth it.

I did see it drop for someone else, when I was at, like, 70 bosses, for someone who did his first 3 runs with me. It dropped for him right at the beginning of the 3rd one. So round abound 7-9 Bosses.

Thinking about this it's not really easy to say what the drop rate seems to be and to be honest I didn't care anymore at some point, just farm and ignore numbers, because it can even drop with the first boss you ever take down. ;)

So, from me: Good damn luck to everyone!

Edit: I am sorry I seem to bother some people with my drop experience. Well, every downvote you take and every second you hate people who got this mount might be the second you would have dropped the mount.

Nearing 1000 total boss kills since Cataclysm Timewalking event... I have seen 2 drop so far, one off last boss in Stone Core, and off 2nd boss in the Arcatraz... Not sure how much longer my sanity will last, but I'm going to be running Timewalking up until the last minute of this event, or when I get the mount. I'm definitely thinking it's at least a 1/1000, so a 0.1% drop chance at this point, judging from other posts as well as my own experience.

At LAST I finally was lucky enough to have this BEAUTIFUL mount drop! I want to thank the wow gods, my cats, and patients! Its all about being lucky! As for my experience I am personally a hardcore mount farmer so I was expecting to do timewalker events for the rest of my life. But at 209 kills and over 5000+ badges it finally dropped off of Quagmirran (lastboss) from The Slave Pens. I never did see the mount drop till it was the one for me :3 Linked below is the wonderful screenshot that gives you a heart attack when it appears. This is by far my favorite mount to get and I wish everyone the BEST OF LUCK!

I suspect blizzard wants to keep the mount drop rate in line with other 5 man instance mount acquisition rates, which is a 1% chance the mount will drop for the group per instance. Most timewalking instances have 4 bosses and its a fixed personal loot acquisition of 5 people. So if you follow the rule of a 1% chance per INSTANCE the drop rate should be 1% / 4 bosses / 5 people = 0.05% chance that you personally will get the mount from any one boss.

That sort of drop rate would be consistent with the 2000+ kills I have seen people get to without getting the mount. Not that anyone will ever read this because 'Well, it's about time.' is clearly the most useful information -.-

Finally got my baby this evening after telling myself to do 1 quick timewalking dungeon before I go to bed, queue pops, Utgarde Pinnacle, get to Gortok Palehoof, I ninja pulled even though I am the tank :3 Killed the boss, saw quite a lot of loot, timewarped warforged chest, some badges some gold and then I saw a 4th piece of loot and I saw the purple and at a second glance I screamed and woke up my parents, anywho if you wanna see the screenshot, it can be found here :)

Did arround 40 dungeons in total (only started timewalking dungeons since 6.2.3) on 2 characters and got it yesterday from Pit of Retarded Adds. Made everyone in my group very jelly :)

If you're a Death Knight and are chain farming for this mount, especially during the WotLK week, don't forget about 控制亡灵 or 黑暗模拟.

If you're in Ahn'kahet: The Old Kingdom be sure to use your mind control on a 安卡哈爆法者 at the start of the instance. Its 暗影冲击 ability can be extremely useful for trash, it tends to do about 50%HP worth of damage. It can be great if you pre-cast before you pull packs of trash to pick off the higher HP mobs.

Even better is just before you approach a boss, drop your mind control off it. Tell people to NOT kill nor interrupt it. Wait until it starts casting 暗影冲击, use 黑暗模拟 to steal the spell, then re-mind control it. Then just use the stolen 暗影冲击 onto the bosses and it will one shot them instantly. Just remember that you can only hold the spell for approximately 10 seconds, so do it just before you pull the boss. I've had lots of confused pugs wondering how the bosses instantly die, it's hilarious.

If you're in Pit of Saron, there's a few trash mobs you can mind control. I like the 怒骨苦工, it does fairly decent melee damage (it's usually my top dps while I'm tanking), plus it has a Blind and a Stun which can be useful for some of the annoying trash. Some of the undead mobs there are immune to the mind control but I haven't tried it on all of them; having a pet can be quite useful for extra dps regardless.

Actually im on my 2100+ Bosskill, something about ~400-500 Dungeons? seeing it drop 4 times for 3 friends and 1 random who has come back to WoW after 4 years 3 days ago and he was on its first, second maybe third tw dungeon and he has 4 Mounts.. so he absolutely deserves it !

I will get my Mount maybe in 2017 when ive done 1k Dungeons more because i have no scrub protection bonus/newcomer stay pls 13€ needz bonus.

Don't give up folks, as they say if you sit by the river long enough you will see the body of your enemy float by. Got mine today from Skadi in Utgarde Pinnacle while gearing an alt and not even thinking about this mount. First time I ever see it drop.

People Who gets it under 1000 kills just go buy some US lottery or something. This event must be the most annoying %^&* that blizz have come up with. Feel sorry for mount collectors Who want this. A friend of mine did over 4500 kills and have now over 30k badges untill he got the mount. I understand its a random drop BUT this mount should be purchased for badges to. Like 15k or something. I seriously think it should have cost time warped badges instead of having been this low of a drop chance... I have 25k badges now on my hunter and still haven't gotten it.... I'm perfectly content with seeing it be a drop off of any time walking boss, but not at this drop rate... It's sad to see the ones who really want it will go out of their way (up to 4000 boss kills or more), and not ever loot it.This makes about as much sense as making "The Insane" title a 1/5k drop chance off of any rare mob in old world zones. That's just plain ridiculous, it should be obtainable within a set given amount of effort... This drop rate only serves to drive those who really really want the reward insane, and fills their insides with salt when they read about the guy who got it in 3 or 12 dungeons total, I mean, just look at the comments on this page that were downvoted...

Our group had 4 mounts drop in 2841 kills (We grinded TBC timewalking too without seeing a mount). 3 of them dropped in Ahn'kahet and one in Utgarde Pinnacle.

First mount dropped after ~1200 kills, another one around 1300, a third around the 2400 mark and I got mine finally after 2841 kills.

Ended on around 20000 badges in total.

These silly RNG-based items always have and I think always will be spoiling the fun for me. And at the same time the attitude from the developers towards this whenever they are asked or confronted by the fans only makes it worse.

I have never found super rare purely luck based rewards enjoyable regardless of how much others tell me I should love it...

I'm only seeing 1 drop here and there off of a few bosses listed, and it would be awesome to have a pretty solid estimate of what the drop rate is...DO YOUR PART FOLKS!

This is the 4th event im farming quite hardcore. Im at exactly 3333 timewalking boss kills now.
I have seen the mount drop 12 times for other people in my party (3 for friends, and 9 for randoms)
So tired of spamming Timewalking day and night, every third week :(
Im not gonna lie, i've lost hope so many times, and i've honestly stopped expecting the mount.
I feel the pain both mentally and physically. This farm is really not easy :/

Just got this from the second boss of Grim Batol after 2966 kills. Only saw it 2 times before that (which were both in the same run of Gundrak). The fact that I am free from this torturous hell hasn't set in yet...
I can go outside....
I can do other things....
I can.... do more timewalking and pretend to people i got it week one in first few instances like every single other person I have seen with it.... Yeah! Lets do that one! :D

I was wholly unaware this mount existed, was doing TW dungeons on my 87 bear druid to get heirloom upgrades. Everyone else had already bailed from the End Time party before I looted, and there was just some gold and this mount. I thought it was just something specific to Murozond, since the theme is fitting. Came here to check out the rarity and was pleasantly surprised at my dumb luck. Sorry to any of you who spent tons of time purposefully farming this. RNGsus is a cruel god, folks.

TL;DR : It is possible to obtain the mount on characters below max level.

As yet another Timewalking event graces us with it's endless farming madness, and because I could simply not find a reliable answer to this question, I have opened a GM ticket asking if the mount can drop for chars below level 100.

This is my response :

"Greetings Brenko, Thank you for contacting Blizzard Entertainment. Regarding your question, I confirm you that we are not aware of any level restriction for characters who are eligible to enter into Timewalking instances, when it comes to the Infinite Timereaver's drop chances. So you should be able to drop it with your level 94 character as well :) Keep in mind that this mount is particularly rare, so it might not drop even after several attempts. I had this drop for me on my first ever time walker dungeon. I was on my 71 Pally doing a level 70 dungeon and this dropped. I had no idea what it was or how rare it was till I came here. I feel like I should apologize to everyone who has been farming this constantly.

Just got that beauty yesterday at Slave Pens. I did never expected the mount because I'm not hardcore pve player. Just did second timewalking dungeon for quest on my alt character and maybe 6th timewalking in general so I had a loooot of luck :) I keep my fingers crossed for all of you guys :)

So this was the first timewalking event that I took seriously in trying to farm this mount. I managed to get 150 kills but no luck. I didn't see anyone get it in my party either. Grats to those who did get it! See you guys next time!

I must be the luckiest person in WoW. I had just recently boosted, and faction transferred an old rogue, and joined in on the Cata TW, got an insta queue with the rogue (weird, right?). We got to Slabhide, and it dropped! At the time I had no idea it was even a drop because I hadn't been keeping up with all the updates.

I don't mean to brag, but seeing as this kind of thing never happens to a player like me I feel like I deserve to say even if it seems hopeless, you'll get it!

Well, since i'm reading that most of the ppl here share my optinon let me tell you something:

I want this mount so damn badly, I've spent every timewalking event since it got implemented brute farming it to this very day. I'm a tank with a big roster of dps and some healers, so i always ran in a 5 man grp with full BiS gear. My stats so far:

Kills: 5.3k
Mounts seen: 13 (made a screenshot of most of them)
Badges atm: 44k (I have all rewards)

From the 13 drops, half was below 1k kills, the other half was below 2k.

What does this tell me? I have to be honest, RNG to this degree is NOT a thing that should be implemented in ANY video game on this planet, it's cheap, it's unrewarding and just dumb af. Ok I can understand you blizz, you don't want ppl to be able to farm the Love Rocket or the MoP Worldboss mounts. Mounts with that droprate on a weekly/yearly lockout are not meant to be farmed - I get that. And yeah, no one I ever came across liked this system since as I said it's just cheap designed and meant to keep ppl playing. But why adding more of this @#$%? And furthermore a mount WITH A UNIQUE SKIN? It's obvious that ppl want this.

I'm fine with the 300 kills I needed for invincible, a 1% drop even on a lockout is fine for me, but this just takes it too far, a 1 in 2000 drop on an event that only comes in every 3 weeks - this is just an insult.

Yeah, RNG can support such a concept since anything can happen anytime, but you have to see that it can be the other way arround, for some ppl more than for others. Yeah RNG doesn't favor ppl, it doesn't judge ppl, but hell you know these guys that are always lucky no matter what the hell they do, while you have to bring 10x the effort to reach the same thing.

I don't want blizz to take RNG out of their games, I just want them to keep it on a level where it's not COMPLETELY INHUMAN like this one is. Or even better: give ppl that are not as lucky as others an alternative. In this case: make this mount 30k badges, make it 40k badges, make it 50k badges so ppl with 6k+ kills will have it someday as well.

This playstyle is not engageing, it's not fun or rewarding.

Edit: I CAN'T BELIEVE IT IT DROPPED! 5358 kills on Grand Magus in Nexus. It's over.. finally...

When TW started I thought this mount would be kinda like the White Hawkstrider, which I am convinced is the easiest rare to get, (Everyone in my old guild had one, I got mine on 5th try) But after 2 TW events where I farmed constantly with no drop, I gave up and only did the event on the first day for the quest drop. One week I joined a group and they were a lot of fun and convinced me to keep going, so I did. The 2nd dungeon and on the 2nd boss the mount dropped for me. This has become a habit, I stopped farming Onyxia and the first time I casually ran that dungeon, I got the mount. So don't give up.

1356 kills so far and still no mount, I don't know how other people reached over 5k kills I already feel like giving up but still have some hope it might drop. I have seen only 4 mount drops. I'll update if i ever get the mount :)

At Kill 1444 it dropped for a dps in the group from Ozumat in Throne of Tides. Hope the next one i see drop will be mine

I didn't see any drop since the above mentioned until now, at 2125 attempts it dropped for ME! from General Umbriss in Grim Batol. I couldn't believe it I'm so happyyy :D It dropped on my druid tank, i have been doing tw dungeons across multiple characters.

Never give up hope guys, even if you don't have time to farm it try and get at least 100 kills per event.

Hey guys just got wowhead to share my experience of obtaining this mount. I got it from the last boss of Throne of Tides about 3 hours ago on my prot warrior. It dropped on my 200th attempt account wide (around 180 for the toon I got it on) according to rarity. It was also the first one I've actually seen drop, just wanted to post to let people know that just because it doesn't drop on your first 100 attempts it doesn't mean it will take 4000 attempts.

edit: I didn't see a single stonecore or vortex pinnacle drop during my runs (I've never actually seen the vortex pinnacle mount drop and I played all through cata so the drop rate may not be as crazy as we might think it is)

The more comments the more I believe in a hidden mechanic that keeps this mount rare. There's ALOT of people who got this mount on their first run. I haven't done the maths but I'd say the probability of getting the mount on your first run is far lower than seeing it on your 2000th kill. This makes me think that "farming" this mount is not the key to success. This is just a theory but what if you only have "X" chances per day/hour? So for the people that do 500 kills per day are only getting "X" chances per day which could be the same amount of chances that someone else gets after 20 runs. The thing that leads me to this theory is that I ran dungeons 200 times with the same person and I noticed that we would both get blue bulging stacked decks at the same time, the blue stacked decks are also personal loot so I think whatever RNG prevents you from getting hundreds of blue stacked decks in a row is tied in with the mount drop. So what I'm suggesting is that their may be an internal CD on your chances to obtain the mount (e.g huolon gives you more rewards for your first kill of the day in most cases)

I would like to remind everyone that there is a wod promotion going on at the momment from blizzard that provides a free upgrade of an old account to wod plus 7 days of gametime and also a free boost to 90 for some accounts. So if you have any old accounts that are connected with your main one, its always a good idea to farm a bit on them. After all lots of people that have gotten the mount are either new players or returned after a long time.

5k and counting. Some side effects,

My brain feels like silly putty whenever I enter a TW dungeon.
I can recite almost every boss quote from these dungeons word for word.
My fingers hurt when I drive my car.
I had a dream that the mount dropped, and then I woke up and contemplated suicide.

Long story short, this is the most ridiculous farm ever, and the only reason I continue to do it is because I am in this deep already, and it would be a shame to have wasted all of this time for nothing.

I've seen it drop twice now in around 300 kills I got the first one at 200. I don't think it's just RNG affecting this mount there's too much variation in the data. Either that or people are severely overexaggerating their number of kills. I dare say there's a hidden parameter that affects whether the mount drops for you.

Does anyone ever feel like Blizz manipulates the RNG against the collectors and in favor of noobs/casuals?
I know it's sooooo unlikely, but the amount of people who don't collect mounts at all but then they get this on their second TW or raid mounts while they're just tagging along with friends etc. is maddening.

Where as for people like me who literally collect everything, have almost every mount, toy, achievement, every rare drop is an insane grind where you are on the severe bad side of RNG.
I can't even remember the last time I got 'lucky' in terms of a rare drop... best thing I can think of is Ruhkmar mount I got @ around 200-250 kills.

1% mount drops I consistently get around 300-350 attempts, SHA mount i'm at 1650 (inc rolls) with no drop, even archaeology rare and pristines have eluded me into the thousands of solves. When I first starting battle pet collecting I remember farming days and days for a Crimson Whelpling and it was somewhere around 33,000 kills that it finally dropped. The kind of soul crushing insanity where you've spent so long trying, you just have to keep going to make it not a complete waste of time...

I keep waiting for that lucky break where something... anything comes easy and it just never happens.

I got this mount from Pit of Saron a few years back. What I learned is this:

Please don't waste your time farming this. You will get it if you are lucky. Seriously, it's not worth putting all that time and energy into doing a marathon farm & torturing yourself by doing the same thing, again and again.

Just do 5/5 TW dungeons to get the rewards, if it doesn't drop in that, wait for next event. That way you won't feel bad if it doesn't drop, because you did not waste time/energy in farming it.

The rush for this mount made me:

Get dozens of epics on all my alts.

Learn how to play my alts.

Try out new ways to maximize my dps/healing with old set bonuses and trinkets.

While this is a hellish farm, I can just say Blizzard sort of nailed the purpose of timewalking dungeons being a challenging and fun way to use your old gear ...

Then the lv 100 with lv 92 quest gear and less than 1k achievement points gets it, he didn't even know such a mount existed in the first place and wiped several times in the process.

Pure speculation here, but I suspect the mount is a 0.1% drop rate inside the 25% chance for personal loot.

0.1% x 25% = 0.001 x 0.25 = 0.00025 = 0.025% = 1/4000 drop rate.

There's 5 people in the group, so you have a 1/800 chance of seeing the mount drop, but only 1/4000 of it being yours since it's always going to be personal loot.

Oh how rare this mount is, it dosn't seem like it, but man if you get this mount on your first run know you are truely lucky. I am salty, really salty. And this number, 3000 isn't a lot, i know many people have double, triple, probably even more than that. Hours upon hours of pointless grinding of old cheap, filler content that nobody really enjoys.

It hurts when it drops and you don't get it. It hurts when you see the impossible 2 mounts from the same boss. It hurts when you see 10 mounts drop, but you are not gonna get it. You are gonna keep mindlessly grinding this boring ass content over and over because you want that damn mount, but you are not gonna get it.

I see people saying "this is a 1% drop chance mount" shut up. It cant be. You haven't gone through 3000,kills and seen it drop what, 5-10 times if you are lucky (unlucky), out of 15 000 loot chances?

People tell me "There is no point in farming it, i'll get it eventually by doing the weekly quests". You won't. Chances are you most likely won't.

Im salty, i've given up. I wish you the best of luck.

Haven't played in almost two years.
Logged in, got a dungeon que while leveling my Druid within 20 minutes of popping back on.
Got this as a drop from the third boss we killed in the dungeon ( first 30 minutes of playing after almost two years ).
Can't use it unless I train a higher level flying for 4k.
Didn't know what it was, so I Googled it and found this.

I've farmed around 12k Timewalking Badges so far and I haven't seen the mount drop once for anybody. There is no possible way this mount is 1% drop chance like some people are saying :D I'd say It's more like 0.01% like the Heavenly Onyx cloud serpent :(

I can rest now. It took about 11k boss kills, Rarity was bugged for some of the kills so it only displays 9210. I might be the person with the most attempts here?

Advice: Never give up. It will feel like it's not going to drop, and you will hate yourself from hours of spamming, but in the end, it IS eventually worth it. Get yourself a BiS set and run with friends. I usually ran with 3 or 4 friends who also had sets and you just breeze through the dungeons while having fun with friends. The faster the dungeons, the more kills you'll get per hour.

I got my mount today arround 7k kills (finally HYPE)

I were doing it with one character usually, but this week I did tw dungeons with 3x hunters multiboxing team.

And I wanted to point this out 'You can trade this mount in 2hrs within group members'

You can do tw dungeons with friends that already had mount and take, if it drops for them or something ;)

Finally got this bull*!@# dragon. Dropped from Keristrasza after 2159 attempts according to Rarity but it's actually closer to ~3500 because I did a lot of farming before I decided to install the addon. Saw it drop 3 times before I got mine. This grind was so mindless that at the end I didn't even expect the drake to drop anymore, queuing TW dungeons just became a habit, it's not like there was anything else to do. I was caught very off guard when I got the ''achievement'' (rarity users know) and saw that purple item on my loot box, I had next to no expectation for such thing to happen. So glad this chapter of my life is over. Never queuing another TW dungeon again.

They seriously need to fix the drop rate, having to do this much of boring grinding already felt sickening and there are people with even more attempts! It's WAY too low!

This mount dropped for me in 古达克, specifically, from 达卡莱巨像 while I was doing Lich King timewalking on my low lvl holy pally today. I haven't been doing a lot of timewalking so can't tell you how many tries it took me, didn't even know how to get this mount. I guess I'm very lucky.

Beginning to lose hope on ever getting this. Been running Timewalking like a madman since December, and I know I'm over 4K attempts. Didn't have rarity installed until yesterday, so I can't give a total amount of kills, but it's driving me insane. Congrats to all those who have it, and I know everyone say's to not give up hope and it will drop when you aren't expecting it to. I just want this so I can stop wasting all of my time doing this.

After 4209 kills (or more) it dropped for me from Ahn 'kahet: The Old Kingdom off Prince Taldaram yesterday. I was very irritated because he targeted me 3 times in a row with his stun and I was running through the door away from the boss then I thought to myself, "Did I loot that boss? I don't remember..." I go back to loot him and my rarity add-on made the achievement sound and it flashed up on my screen like a dream I couldn't believe coming to life. I wasn't even farming timewalking dungeons this week. I was just doing my quest to get an extra seal because I haven't played for a few weeks. After all the timewalking sets I've made, healing, dpsing, making groups on b.net forums / guild groups / trade chat, adding 15+ btag friends to run chain tw dungeons with I get him off of a boss I almost forgot to loot on my 10th alt in a dps que just doing my weekly quest. I watched 3 people I ran with all abandon me once they got theirs and was left to myself farming every week for months. I watched one guildy get it off the 3rd boss he killed in tw ever and he didn't even know it existed. I saw another random person get it in under 40 kills and the 6th one i saw drop was mine. Personally I suggest not wasting your life farming this stupid drop rate mount. Just do your weekly quest on the toons you want seals/vp on and call it a day. Since legion is coming out soon you might as well farm it into the ground before you have multiple alts to lvl and a new demon hunter. I have 324 mounts and no mount was every harder than Infinite Timereaver to obtain and I have every drop mount in wow except for world boss mounts.

But after what I estimate to be 5600-6800 kills and seeing 4 drop for other people, it finally dropped for me off of Tyrannus in the Pit of Saron, at around 2:30am last night. I had done 24 dungeons and killed 100 bosses that day, and I decided I was going to turn in, and then thought "Eh, one more, why not". I am really glad I did that ONE more dungeon.

Finally i got my timereaver. It toke %^&*ing 10025 kills.
At some point i lost hope and motivation but i never stopped that.
I stopped counting drops but i saw 20+ Mounts, i have 81750 Badgdes and few new friends ;).

You feel sick of running hours for hours tws but never give up guys it will drop and its worth!
Now im helping friends to get their mounts too, not that much like the last days and months but 1-2h per day.

Good luck hunting that mount!

I had hit 4200 attempts on this last cataclysm event before Legion. I had seen it drop 6 times for others and I was so depressed I decided to give up and just do the 5 dungeons quest with few alts.
Then it dropped on my attempt number 4232, from last boss in Vortex pinnacle.
I was so happy I couldn't believe it finally dropped for me.

I've been chainfarming timewalking dungeons the past few weeks since I heard timewalking would be gone for a bit in legion, and I've wanted an infinite drake ever since I first saw one. I used to chainfarm them when timewalking was first released, but toned that down to only doing the quest on all my alts because it was simply too mind-numbing.

2465 recorded attempts on rarity and it finally dropped from the Neptulon/Ozumat encounter yesterday causing some unhuman pterodactyl screeches in the process. While rarity said 2465, I have quite a bit more kills since I only installed rarity recently (I used to keep track on post-its). At this point I'm just happy I don't have to do timewalking anymore.

The weird thing is that this is the first drake I've seen drop, while others at my kill amount have seen lots.

I was on a long break and not playing WoW when timewalking dungeon events were introduced. But now I'm back and this event first went live yesterday on Legion and I got this mount on my first couple of runs. Dropped off first boss in Mana-Tombs. I was pretty shocked about getting a mount out of nowhere and I came here on wowhead to see how rare this mount was since I didn't know about it. Judging by the reactions from my group/guild and comments on here I guess I had some pretty insane luck.

Nothing has changed in how to farm this mount in Legion. However, timewalking in Legion is noticeably easier, mostly because of artifact traits increasing player power which causes artifacts to be BiS for those timewalking with or without specialized gear. Best of luck and speed in earning this drake!

So i started to farm the 永恒时空撕裂者的缰绳 finally myself. I'm now at around 200 Bosskills with no luck so far. But from what i've readed here, in the comments, i can estimate around 5k - 10k Bosskills.
Update 30.12.16 So far 500 kills and no drop for me or in my group. The ~~adventure~~ grind continues.

I wish Blizzard would add a system for mounts that drop so horrible like the 永恒时空撕裂者的缰绳.
That for every kill you'll increase the dropchance till you finally get it. It's just a horrendous grind with nearly no variety.
I mean c'mon you can not call six dungeons (even with switching Timewalking Expansions) variety.

An example of this would be.

永恒时空撕裂者的缰绳 has a 1% drop chance.
For every kill it's dropchance increases by 0.05%
For every 20 kills you would get a 1% increase
So if you had horrible bad luck you would get the mount with your 1980 Kill.

They could even think about capping the chance at something like 5-10% or higher but the farming for mounts in WoW is extremly boring and feels unrewarding.

Currently at 13038 kills and still no mount. I've seen over 10+ drop in total in my time running for this mount. This week though I've been doing 150-250+ (250 with the legion bugs) kills a day and haven't seen one all week. Artifact weapons have made doing this a bit easier but we will see when the other ones pop This week alone I've given out 6 迅捷白色陆行鸟 and deleted 3 of them.

Figure I finally make a post since I hit 13k kills this week.

Update 1: Ended with a total of 13245 kills today. Not a single mount dropped in any of my groups all week. Another week of hardcore farming the mount with nothing to show for it.
Update 2: Ready for a new TW week. Lets hope with all the 4-5 boss dungeons this week that I have more luck than last week. Time to see how hard WotLK TW is gonna be now.
Update 3: FUN DETECTED! MUST NERF! -Blizzard. Whelp, they discovered the Kara Items were bugged. Was fun while it lasted.
Update 4: Was averaging 4-5 bosses every 5-6 minutes for a while with the Kara items were bugged RIP. I miss it.

Update 10: I know some of you have been wondering if I have it. Sad to tell you I still do not. While I'm not farming it as much as I use to do since I do a lot more raiding now. I normally bearly do 700~ kills an event. I've seen countless mount drops and even discovered some more bugged items that affect TW to make runs trivial. I'm honestly probably gonna quit farming this mount just because of how much time I've invested in this. While I wont fully quit farming this mount I prob will only do around 100-200 kills a week. Doing 700+ in a event takes a lot of time and that's something I don't have right now. As for kill count. Yes its gonna be unbelievable......24179......Please send help....... I haven't tried this hard for a mount since I was going for the stratholme mount back in BC soloing that place as a hunter : /
Update 11: 24674 kills. Was only able to do around 500~ this event. I even had 3 friends running with me for the majority of the event and we didn't see a single one drop. I hate Cata TW week. So much time for so little kills, BC week is my fav to do. But yeah... still nothing. I'll post another update after the next TW event. Trying to do around 500-700 kills a event but it takes a lot out of me.Kinda funny I got kicked during one this event because I was pulling to fast and "noob tank", made me laugh.
Update 12: 24891 kills and drum rolls please ... NO MOUNT! Funny thing is doing +/- 217 kills this event. Sadly because of the 7.2.5 stuff being released during TW didn't have much time to do the event. All 217 kills was with 4 friends and not one dropped for anyone in all the groups I was in during this event. I HATE MOP TWing. BC is next and thats my favorite week.
Update 13: !@#$ !@#$ !@#$ !@#$ my life............... Well did the TW BT on my main and guess what a guildie not even knowing about the mount that doesn't even do TW got the mount. Yeah! No but seriously this !@#$ is getting annoying as heck. Almost everyone that I have seen get the mount has gotten it without even knowing about the mount or got it on their first attempt. Also 25k recorded kills still not mount! I hate Blizzard.

Update 18: So long story short I quit after that wrath event back in November. Sorta got really mad with the event on how it was so bugged and I hit well over 30k kills in that event. It was very depressing hitting 30k kills and don't even get me started on how buggy that wrath week was. Couldn't do some bonus bosses and some runs were just bugged and had to reque and leave instance. After I hit it I didn't do the normal amount of 700-1000+ kills. I really just got sick and done with WoW. Writing this as a March of the next year. So soonish TM I'll be back and like always I'll update after every event or every other event of TWing. Time to get back sucked into TWing . . .

I have confirmed 永恒时空撕裂者的缰绳 drop on saturday this timewalking event. Finally got after much more kills like i got on this character. Was farming from the begining on resto Druid farmed both mounts, toys, reputations but unfortunately dont know exact kill number.

Later started to use rarity addon to count mine kills when i switched to DK and value was 696 when dropoped.

Did not miss any event but finally it came on first one after Legion launch so all of you have chance to get your mount next TW event. Wish you lucky runs.

I've been wanting to know the drop chance of this incredibly elusive mount, and thanks to NaThuRe we have found that some of the Timewalking boss's loot table shows the percentage chance of the 永恒时空撕裂者的缰绳. I took some time to make it easily accessible to see the presently known WoWhead drop chances on a single page:

Burning Crusade Timewalking
The Black Morass - 时空领主德亚 (0.1%)

Lich King Timewalking
Gundrak - 达卡莱元素 (0.03%)

Cataclysm Timewalking
End Time - 希尔瓦娜斯的残影 (0.7%)
Lost City of the Tol'vir - 胡辛姆将军 (0.3%)
The Stonecore - 岩皮 (0.16%)
Grim Batol - 铸炉之主索朗格斯 (0.15%)

The rest of the boss drop chances are currently unknown. It almost seems as if it has a higher chance to drop during the Cataclysm timewalking dungeons over the other events, though that would be unlikely AND unfair to the players farming the Timereaver.
I'm currently on my 405th kill, meaning the total number of attempts in all the groups I've been in is 2025 total boss kills. I've only seen it drop once, and that was from the final boss of the Pit of Saron, 天灾领主泰兰努斯.

TLDR: It's pretty safe to assume that the drop chance is approximately 0.4%.

Edit: I was not being mathematical in any way, nor did I do any technical calculations, all I did was a rough mean average. Not sure why this is being downvoted so harshly, I was giving relevant information regarding currently known drop chances per boss.

So I hate to be that guy.. I was merely finishing up my needed 5 timewalking dungeons for my weekly quest and the reins dropped for me.
I've been called RNGesus before by many people. This really just topped it off.
First try got the mount from Alysrazor, 3rd time through ICC I got Invincible. Dare i continue? haha. Good luck to all those who are farming it though, I wish you the best. (:

Only ever done the weekly 5 every now and then from about November onwards. I remember seeing someone get it around the beginning of December. I got it from a Lich King Timewalking dungeon earlier today. Sorry to ruin everyone's lives. If it makes you feel any better, I killed Vyragosa 36 times over the course of 2 weeks before seeing time lost proto killed by a new player who had been there for 30 minutes (lvl 100). Luckily he was in my party and it was shared loot!

Killed Vyragosa 5 times on Christmas Day. In a twisted way I feel entitled to this beautiful drake :) good luck!

I just got this during MoP TimeWalking! It dropped from Commander Ri'mok! I had asked around if anyone had seen it yet, as I avidly have farmed for this mount. The MoP timewalking has also been bugged, to where some of my groups didnt get loot, got loot that wasnt for their class(plate for a mage) or the entire group had to roll on one item. When my mount dropped for me, I was ECSTATIC it was personal loot! I looted it, killed the final boss, while weak in the knees, and hearthed out to see my beauty! Dont give up anyone. It may have taken me 5578 boss kills to finally see my mount, but you will get there!

Bad idea.

Chances are you'll see it drop at least once to someone who was just doing their first timewalking dungeon ever, and who will probably tell you they weren't even aware it could drop.

My best advice would be "Forget it!" Do the other stuff, fam the other mounts, but really, don't think about this specific mount every time you kill a boss or you'll get very frustrated.

You'll get it eventually, just don't let it rob you of your sanity before it happens.

I've seriously had enough of farming this mount. I'm already on 40k Timewalking Badges and i haven't seen it drop once. WTF :(

I'm reading everybody post boss attempts on here but I don't have any addon counting that. How many attempts is 40k Timewalking badges? I don't turn in the event quest.

I might get a lot of angry grinders by posting this but I just wanted to share this with you.
I had just finished reading about the horrors of grinding this mount. I then did a timewalking dungeon with my friend and we went into "Opening of the Dark Portal". My friend got turned into a gnome and drank an elixir of Noggenfogger, and he was hiding in the waters while my group did all the work and we just had fun (I know, terrible way of spending time in a dungeon). Then the FIRST boss showed up, and I started on him when he was around 40%, I then went to loot him without even thinking about the mount whereas I thought it would only drop in Wotlk dungeons. And BAM he dropped in my first dungeon, on my first boss.
TL;DR on this is that the RNG in wow is ridiculous, and I feel deeply sorry for those who spent a tremendous amount of time farming this mount.

Finally! I was at about 3600 kills, 3 drops but not for me. So me and guild friends were doing the weekly quest and suddenly, I saw an epic item and then that it dropped to one of my friends. I was so happy when he gave it to me. Now I owe him a huge favor! I know this isn't much but it's really a huge relief when you know that it's over.

I've been farming this mount like CRAZY since it was announced. I have no idea how many kills I'm at, but I've been doing roughly 100+ TWs each event week and have only seen it drop once (for my wife after she jokingly teased me that she was going to get it instead of me).

That is until today when it finally dropped for me. I'm not sure what boss or dungeon (though it obviously doesn't matter), because I didn't see it until I was cleaning out my bags after we had finished. What I do know, is that after MONTHS of farming helping a guildy get their new toon to 71, so they can do TWs with their friends, gave me enough good karma to finally be rewarded the mount.

TL;DR: Do something nice for someone and hope for the best.

I was leveling a new character and accidentally queued for timewalking. I got it the first boss drop. I still can't believe it, especially since I didn't even mean to queue for it.

But my account was bugged so I couldn't even summon it for over a week. That is the very definition of my luck, honestly. Get an amazing mount and can't even summon it.

Finally after about 2 years, I got this sweet mount today on April 26, 2017. First boss in Pit of Saron of my Third Timewalking dungeon this week. After a long hard & frustrating grind last year and not seeing it drop even once (for anybody), I decided that I'll only do 5 dungeons for the weekly quest, that way I won't get disappointed if it doesn't drop because I would not have spent endless hours grinding without getting it. So I started doing only 5 Timewalking dungeons whenever the event was up, and finally it dropped for me today.

So guys, my suggestion to everyone trying to get this mount. Don't torture yourself trying by farming it endlessly. Just do the 5 TW dungeons, if it doesn't drop in that, then wait for the next event. As I have noticed, most of the people who have the mount didn't grind it endlessly, they just got it by chance while doing their weekly & some didn't even know what it was.

Started doing TW dungeons on the last event and decided I wanted to farm the mount. Spent most of my free game time in dungeons that I did not want to be in, stopped farming. With the current TW event, went in only with tank characters so I could get my reward chests swiftly. Mount dropped on 2nd boss of the 4th dungeon I did.

Don't go into it with your mind set on farming the mount. Understand that it is a random drop and just let it come to you

I never thought it would drop for me but I kept trying.

I did around 1200 bosses before it dropped

It dropped once for my best friend and around 7 or 8 other people during my efforts to obtain it.

If I had to put my experience with this mount into a tldr, I'd say this: don't run dungeons 24/7. Do your quest, do it on alts, and then do a couple until you don't feel like running dungeons anymore. I've made the mistake of grinding it for hours upon hours, and it burned me out and frustrated me endlessly.

Roughly 6000~ kills into the farm, I have seen 5 people receive the drake. 5 people that, I might note, got it under 200 tries.
Today, I finally received the mount, and it didn't even drop for me - a very good friend of mine traded me theirs, bless their soul.

It does make me wonder how low the dropchance of the reins truly is.

This mount has drop2x for me in 24 hr period on 7/14/2017 !
With that said don't be hateing me for it i also like you spent many moons farming
this thing as i was and still am farming the currency for other mounts/pets and toys !

Just so you know, as I couldn't answer to the comment who said they probably were dropping more often lately, I have recently seen the 2nd timereaver drop in my group (got none ofc) in just over 1.000 boss kills, was first boss of mana tombs, first one instead was last boss of gundrak and it was back when it was a new mount, so the drop rate I have experienced in my groups is 1 in 2.500 and I assume it's 1 in 4.000.

Even though I've seen the 2nd drop only recently after 1,5 years where I've seen none (just doing quest on 2 chars all events) I didn't see enough evidence drop rate increased, would still think it's as low as ever; also have not seen any in timewalking black temple in my 1 run for anyone in the group.

Iam farming this mount since it was added back in WoD. I am doing 5 dungeons on every of my 11toons, every time events is up, so i dont even want to know how many bosses i have killed and i have seen him drop only once(not for me obviously). Iam starting to wonder, if there is any connection between having quest and mount drop? Can someone confirm dropping mount while having quest for 5 dungeons? Maybe i should do quest on one character and stick to it insted of doing dungeons on others?

Hello fellow mount collectors, I have finally obtained after 5188 attempts, I have hunted this mount for just over a year now, i started with a group of 5 friends who all obtained their mount before me.

After agreeing to help a guildie do 5 Timewalk dungeons, my guildie hydromorphon had received the mount on the Second boss Gortok Palehoof boss in Utgarde Pinnacle and agreed to trade it too me as he stated "i'm a druid i have no need for mount, and you have 5k attempts it's np"

Finally it was mine, the drop chance must be incredibly small approx 0.03-0.05% per dungeon boss

I did not count how many attempts and did not have a mod for that.. i did however do it on multiple alts since it was patched in WoD every time.. on multiple alts depending on my mood finally gave up and just ran them for the chest only reward 5 times on a couple toons

2nd alt 2nd run 2nd boss.. it dropped was a welcome surprise got all excited like a little school girl as had just figured this would be 1 i wouldn't get

so could get lucky or could farm for years

Surprisingly, I got this mount on only the 3rd time an alt had tried TW's. I usually only do them, if at all, for the 500 badges.

Needless to say, the rest of the random party were #$%^&ing all the way from the 1st boss in Stormstout Brewery, where it dropped, until the dungeon was finished.

You've either got luck, or you haven't.

I got to around 2500 boss kills in order to buy most of the rewards you can purchase with Timewarped Badges. I saw this mount drop twice for other people in all my runs; it never dropped for me. Funnily enough, the first drop I saw was on my first ever timewalking run, so that made me think that the mount wouldn't be so hard to get. I personally will not be running timewalking dungeons just to get this mount; I'd rather not have it. If Blizzard add more Timewalking Badge rewards then I'll run dungeons again and maybe see a drop. It's quite peculiar that somehow Wowhead states that 4% of players have this and Wowstats says that around 6% of players have it, in addition to this, it isn't too uncommon to see many players in-game with this mount, yet somehow it has a ridiculously low drop rate. It doesn't make sense for so many people to have it with a drop rate that low. I mean not many people do timewalking runs outside of the 5 for the weekly quest.

Edit: I got it whilst completing the weekly from WOTLK timewalking. Nice that I don't have to do timewalking ever again.

This mount randomly dropped as I was leveling a level 77 character on a burning crusade dungeon. I didn't even know it was a thing until it dropped and I WON IT! It looks amazing!

So to anyone who has been farming this for a long time, feel free to hate me. I just lucked out way harder than I ever have before in this game.

Dropped today from High Prophet Barim in Lost city of Tol'vir while doing timewalking dungeon. This run was just to get the last boss quest item to get 500 badges but got more goodies this time.
I don't think you should farm this but keep doing timewalking for fun and someday you'll get it.

Please forgive the lack of validity of these claims, as it is merely speculation, but from the odds I've experienced, there is a likelihood that the drop rate for this mount has increased since Legion's launch.

I started farming this in late WoD, early Legion, as I had quit the last big chunk of WoD and came back for the next expansion. In my first weekly farm, I killed roughly twenty bosses. I saw it drop for another party member.

In my second time farming it, I also did not kill many bosses, though I wanted to. It was exhausting, and based on comments, the numbers look awfully bleak. Again, the Timereaver dropped for another party member.

I ran the event as often as possible when it came out each month, and I might have missed a couple of chances due to my brief absence from 7.2. On returning, I started farming the Timewalking event a bit more seriously, as my obsession with the Timereaver was all too strong. Across multiple more events, I've seen it drop about three more times, again for other people.

I had seen the mount drop at least five times before even reaching six hundred boss kills. I was amazed that so many people said this was ultra, ultra rare. It couldn't be, as the number of mounts I've seen drop when running these completely negates that claim. I know that people tout the phrase "Well, RNG is RNG," and they're correct... but odds are also odds. Your chances are higher when the odds are higher-- that is simply a fact.

I ran the event this past week, patch 7.3, Cataclysm Timewalking in December 2017. I've killed around 100 hundred bosses during the week so far. It has dropped twice for other players, in back-to-back dungeons, as a matter of fact. That's only during a 100 boss kill spree for me. It can't be a 1 in 5000-ish drop anymore if I'm seeing the mount drop at least once on every single event that I farm. Especially when I kill far fewer than 100 bosses in the duration of that event. RNG is RNG, but the odds just simply seem higher at seeing at least one. In the past people have claimed that they've rarely seen even one drop for other players in the group.

My suspicions feel very confirmed when I see more and more and more people get this mount every month, and I see tons of people flying it around during each event-- new people that hadn't had it before. So many new people wouldn't be flying it around every month if the drop rate was so abysmally low as it once was. Maybe one to two people would have it each month, but I see loads of people with the mount now.

This brings me toward accepting a more comfortable drop rate, as low as 1 in 500-- or 1 in 100 chance that a mount will drop at all from a boss, with the personal chance of being the one to loot it split throughout the whole five-person group. Based on previous experiences from other players, the personal drop rate could have once been 1 in 3-5000, which is unfairly, disgustingly low. That might imply that there was a 1 in 1000 chance that a mount would drop at all from a boss, which was already way too infrequent, let alone splitting up that chance with four other people.

Keep in mind: this still means that you could go over a thousand kills without it dropping for you, but it does raise your probability of it dropping for you.

The current percentage of accounts who own a Timereaver is 10%. I don't remember what it was before Legion, but I do remember it being quite a bit lower. Edit: I saw a couple people mention that it was about 3%. Comparatively, that's around the same amount of people who own:
- Swift Zulian Panther
- Grand Ice Mammoth and Grand Black War Mammoth
- Life-Binder's Handmaiden
- Lucid Nightmare
- Abyss Worm
- Rogue Raven mount, Shadowblade's Murderous Omen
- Spawn of Galakras

And several others. The mounts listed there are rare... but not nearly as rare as Timereaver once was. Comparatively, these mounts are owned by fewer people than those who own Timereaver:
- Prestige mounts
- Garrison mounts
- Paragon reputation mounts
- Arcadian War Turtle
- Mimiron's Head
- Falcosaur mounts
- The Prestigious mount reward from doing Free For All, More For Me

Yes. If you own a Valarjar Stormwing, or a mount that drops from a raid that is roughly eight years old, you own a mount that is "rarer" than Timereaver in terms of player ownership. I myself own an Armored Skyscreamer, which is owned by 4% fewer people than those who own Timereaver.

I'll continue to update this comment as more mounts drop, as I'm more than certain I'll see more. Mine has not dropped yet, in case anyone was wondering, but my hopes are not nearly as shattered as they were before farming these.

TL;DR: My kill count is currently 707, and I've seen the mount drop at least 7 times since farming this in Legion. Drop rate seems suspiciously higher.

EDIT: During the latest MoP Timewalking event, I didn't do nearly as many dungeons due to the holidays and other real world events/situations. I'll have time to do many more during the next event (BC) and may even do double the amount to make up for it.

EDIT: IT DROPPED AGAIN - I didn't do the previous TW event due to unexpected guild drama pretty much ruining the week, and I didn't log on as much. Now in a new guild, I had time to run this current event. When running the latest Wrath TW, it dropped yet again, for my friend and guildie, who is not a mount collector. He knew I was, so he traded it to me. I was at 859 kills when it dropped.

I did 5 timewalking dungeons for the antorus chest. Got it in the 4th dungeon. I have only done 5 timewalking dungeons since the concept released haha. I think the key to getting it is not knowing if it’s existence until you get it.

When I first joined my guild, I was like a lvl 80 holy Pally in WoD. I had 1 100 toon - my hunter. 2 guildies took pity on me and decided to run with me thru some timewalkers - because they were max level and well geared and I was still pretty new to the game. And from the dungeon in which Milhouse Manastorm is released at the final boss, I noticed 2 items appeared in my personal loot window; I said into Vent, “oh hey, I got 2 things!”

And the one guy goes, “you only get 1 piece of gear per boss.” And the other guy goes “wait... what’s it say?”

And I read, “Reins of the Infinite” and I can’t tell you what I heard next because the swearing would get me banned. We're still guildies. He STILL hates me for it. And if that mount EVER comes up he still says the same thing: “YOU DIDN’T EVEN KNOW IT WAS A MOUNT!”

I got this mount from the most recent Cataclysm Timewalking event off of Lady Nazjar with between 1500 and 2000 kills total. It was a slow group, with players often afk or not focusing healers, but I stuck through it with them, even after the mount dropped. It feels surreal to me that I got this mount within hours of the first anniversary of my mom's death.

Ok, so my official kill count on the character it dropped on for me was 112 attempts. However, this toon was created only months ago when allied races came out. I had to have killed over 500 TW bosses on my main seeing as I had been grinding timewalking since Legion opened on him. Never saw it drop until my 112th kill on an alt. Commander Vo'jak in Siege of Nizao gave me the mount. was stunned, and thought, "surely, this isn't real life!" I thank the rng gods as I have been grinding timewalking since i heard the mount existed. Truly, today is one of the better days of warcraft for me.

As a side note maybe those of you with a thousand+ kills and no luck, consider grinding them on an alt? Food for Thought.

For statistical purposes, I got this mount today on my 1282nd Timewalking Boss kill.
The best advice is to really not "farm" for this mount at all because that will only lead to frustration. I usually only do the 5 dungeons for the weekly quest on the chars I feel like doing them on.

Just came back to the game already on 3037 kills since WoD. Sad to see the dungeons are much harder to complete, I guess after a rescale. This mount is very hard to farm now making it also unfair for all the people that have put effort into farming it in the past without getting it yet.

Leveled with new heirloom gear via timewalking 110-120, super fast would recommend. At 120 I picked up the cache quest and on the final boss of the 5th timewalking it dropped off Loken. Probably ran about 75 timewalking dungeons lifetime. I think that's pretty lucky, I was just reading prior to it dropping about how many bosses some people have killed with no drop. Randomly dropped few minutes ago. I didnt even know he exists :D As I counted, it dropped for me after 320 Timewalking runs. (14 Chars total). His droprate is around 0.01%.

Interesting none of the MoP TW dungeons are listed in the "dropped by" list. This needs updated as I can confirm that it dropped for my guildmate yesterday during the Pandarian tw event.

In the end it's still information that can be useful, basically confirms that you can still get it, which is not really a given considering some bugs found in the game. I have an idea for faster farming of this guy, I don't know if it has been tried yet, but I am planning on doing so tonight, currently WoD timewalking.

Basically, get a premade group consisting of a druid tank and healer, and any dps mix of rogues/hunters/druids. Why?

Because unlike things like M+ and challenge mode, you're not required to kill trash.
So therefore, use stealth, kitty stealth, and camouflage to bypass pretty much all of it, and just kill the bosses.
(in case camouflage's 1 minute duration is too low - use trailblazer/stampeding roars to make it past in time)

Obviously this is a little more difficult to do during tbc and wotlk timewalking, due to violet hold and the dark portal dungeons, but those aren't present during cata, mop and wod. So it should work for these.

It also locks out some classes of course, but remember, you don't even need a max level alt for this.

I'll tell you all how it goes, but in case I don't get it done or don't update, I figured I'd leave you all with the idea.

EDIT 1: Ok, so, it seemed to work on skyreach at least! ...However, in my eagerness to test this, I figured I'd try letting my rusty feral druid attempt to tank/heal, since we had trouble finding a tank/heal. Bad plan, the group was disbanded quickly. ^^' I'll stick to my hunter, and try again tomorrow... Keeping you updated.

We did find that letting your rogue(s) sap as your group moves through makes for less mistakes at least.

So it's been 3,5 years that timereaver is out, soon to be 4 actually, at this point it'd be really useful to know: anyone ever had a timereaver drop after already learning the mount?

You don't necessarily need to have dropped two yourself, you can also have been lucky to have a friend give you one and then did some more tw and got another yourself.

Example the argus mounts from eggs can NOT drop duplicates of the mounts you already learnt, so did it happen to anyone to get a timereaver after already having it in collection, or could we assume it can no longer drop for you in such a case?

So AT LAST after 4.874 tries and around 4 years "I" got this, however the quotes are mandatory, describing where I got it and my farming now.

For the most part I only did tw dungeons on my 2 main chars for the quest, so generally did 10 dungeons per event for a long time, every so often I instead did the quest on 5 chars to try and gear up some particular alts, often happened in wod.

Meanwhile I got all the mounts from badges ofc as an avid collector and eventually in bfa I heard tw levelling was good, hence I started doing it to level alts, which increased my motivation and allowed me to do up to 500 kills per event, solo and with dps queue, a lot more than I ever did.

I levelled every single of my char on 1st acc, which means 47 level 120s, with timewalking (other 2 are twinks and 1 free slot needed on acc) and then doing the same with my 2nd account and like I said I ended up finishing my farming at 4.874 kills, I'd have hit around 7.000 kills by the time I'd have got all my 2nd acc chars to 120 as well, all my chars on 1st acc were 111 + by bfa before I did tw and on 2nd I still had several 110 (due to not having bfa on 2nd for long) and several 101-105 too.

I've started tracking timereaver drops for others, very early on I saw a drop from gundrak last boss, pit of saron 2nd, mana tombs 1st, gundrak mammoth, then after I started doing more runs while levelling saw drops in arcatraz last, halls of lightning last, mugu'shan palace last and magister's terrace last.

Pretty much I've seen it drop once every tw event in my groups, sometimes every 2 events but lately I was worried it had been removed or drop rate lowered (though it was already very low), because it hadn't dropped for all wotlk, cata, mop and almost all wod event.

But in the end it dropped for a friend of mine I was doing it with at the last boss of iron docks (note how often they drop at last bosses!), we had already agreed that as I'm much more a collector she'd give it to me if it dropped, but at the time it did I was quite worried she'd either change her mind or missclick (doubt there's a confirmation button if you right click), hence me asking, I'm not a begger!

So eventually, 4.874 kills for me no drop, around 100 kills for my friend and if she really wanted it, she'd already have it and who knows if I'd get it by 10k or 20k kills or whatever, so I keep the same opinion: this mount is silly, there's too much difference between the lucky and unlucky, they should put some kind of threshold, in my opinion there's too many who get this too easily, because 15% of wow players having this means some players go through a monumental task of 20k kills or whatever for something which is not even rare!

Regardless, I don't work for blizzard, so I can't change anything, I have a strong idea that this can no longer drop for you if you already learnt it btw, so might want friends without mount to help rather than with mount, which are ofc hard to come by as "everyone" has it now.

Can anyone confirm the overall drop chance of this? Did Blizz just make it worse in 8.2.5?

I've been doing timewalking on a number of alts for years trying to get this. I use the "rarity" addon to track things like how many kills I've made to actually farm mounts/pets/toys and so I can see the relative drop chances. On September 29th (during a WoD TW event), hovering the cursor over each boss said it had a 1/4000 chance of dropping the mount (.025% drop chance), but yesterday as I was finishing up the 5 I needed on a lesser used alt I noticed the addon had updated the numbers after years of it being a consistent 1/4000 to say the mount had a 1/20000 chance of dropping (.005% drop chance).

I've seen this mount drop a total of 3 times in the last four years. Did Blizz just nerf even that amount? Are these new numbers accurate?

After years of farming my personal not 100% accurate pen and paper record keeping (notepad because rarity wasnt always installed) landed me at roughly 15k kills when i finally got the mount this morning. First TW for the day and first boss in the Vortex Pinnacle dropped the mount. Looking at the drop rates im definitely at the unlucky side of RNG but im glad its over now.

Probably wont be doing any TW content for a good while now...

This was one of those mounts I was sure I would never get, because I'm not a huge fan of timewalking dungeons.
But after around maybe 150 runs total I got it, its been a long time since ive felt so excited getting a mount!
I hope it will drop soon for those guys more worthy, doing hundreds of runs.
Edit: It dropped from last boss Guk'Rokk in Bloodmaul slag mines.

Rarity lists this mount as a 1 in 4000 chance to drop. It cannot be bonus rolled. This is the same drop rate as the Pandaria World Boss mounts. The difference is you get a chance per boss you kill in each dungeon you run, so it's much easier to obtain in that since, but be prepared to run countless dungeons all while seeing someone else get it from you many times before finally it drops into your bags. I may be a little salty about this mount :)

I did Random Timewalking Dungeons today for the weekly quest in Oribos.
First time i've ever done Timewalking LFR and the mount dropped off a boss on my last dungeon for the quest :)
I also got an achievement for getting the mount, but i don't recall what it was.

This mount finally dropped for me after well over 4000 attempts. Although it's purely about luck, since you very well could be looting it off your first Timewalking boss, this mount is typically a long grind and you'll most likely see attempts reaching the thousands before obtaining it. I'd like to share my experience with you all, and hopefully make the grind a bit smoother.

As of Shadowlands, there are six expansions included in Timewalking, which are:

Burning Crusade
Wrath of the Lich King
Cataclysm
Mists of Pandaria
Warlords of Draenor
Legion

I'd say there's no expansion better than another; each of them have some quite painful dungeons such as 禁魔监狱, 萨隆矿坑, 围攻砮皂寺, etc. Just to name a few. You should simply focus on the expacs you know and like the most, since it'll most likely be less frustrating to do them in the long run. This is also considering gear since Timewalking BiS (read below) works best for Cataclysm/Pandaria and earlier, not so much for WoD and Legion. The mount can also drop in the three Timewalking raids (BT, Ulduar and Firelands), but it'll be infinitely easier to farm the dungeons.

Roles

Tanking is the best possible thing you could do. Not only are you going to get considerably faster queues, you also get to ''lead'' the dungeons (which is better than following a clueless tank as a DPS/healer, especially after running that same dungeon for the 50th time this week), but you can easily carry every other roles doing huge AoE damage and self-healing. To put it in numbers, I can personally do about 40% of the overall damage and healing on my prot paladin in your average pug group (and that is with basic TW gear, not fully BiS).

For DPS, you'll have to stick with the long queues, which can end up between 10-20 minutes. If you have a good tank, you can still have fairly quick runs carrying out with the big damage.

As for healers, it's pretty much the opposite; shorter queues, but it'll be hard to carry an entire group of low DPS, making your runs slower.

Gear

I cannot pressure you enough how important gear is in Timewalking. In case you didn't know, since your level and ilvl is scaled down, you can use pieces from older raids/dungeons and they'll become relevant once more. The same goes for enchants and gems. Meaning, you could easily go in TBC/WotLK using your good ol' 影之哀伤 and it'll be not only as good, but most likely better than your current weapon. Note that the ilvl doesn't scale up, so using TBC gear in MoP TW is a no go.

Now you don't have to min-max it too hard, so I'd rather give you a list of priority gear you should focus on:

1. Shadowlands Legendary
This one is pretty obvious, and you most likely already have one. However, I'd highly suggest using one that isn't a helm, shoulders or chest slot so you're not blocking off the upcoming azerite pieces, and obviously not a necklace legendary.
2. Azerite and Essences
Depending on classes, this could be a higher priority than your SL leggo. If you scrapped your azerite, you can easily get three pieces back for a total of 15 棱彩法力珍珠 back in 纳沙塔尔. You can even try to run some Mythic dungeons in order to get better traits. Essences from the 艾泽拉斯之心 are pretty important too, especially for your major slot. Look up some older BfA guides to see which one would be best for your classes. As for your azerite, check for traits that may have a good synergy with your SL talents, or your last expansion's BiS.
3. Trinkets
Just like current content, trinkets can play a big part of your DPS in Timewalking. A big personal favorite of mine is the ~~剑圣之镜~~ (nerfed, RIP), but it's only usable by agility classes. If you have good current trinkets, they can already be solid in TW too, otherwise look up some older expansions raid trinkets that are easily obtainable in solo.
4. Other legendaries
The MoP legendary cloaks (not longer obtainable), 阿什拉·卡马斯，决意之护 at rank 12-15 (for the main stat proc), the pre-legendary epic rings from WoD - the actual legendary rings are nerfed, but the epic version you get before are BiS for TW (you can get them back from 佐提·轮怒 if you got rid of them, they are no longer obtainable if you didn't get them back in WoD however), legendary weapons like 影之哀伤, etc. Legion legendaries' effects are entirely disabled, but you could still use them for their sockets/stats.
5. Socketed gear
You should use gear with as many sockets for any remaining slots. The best places I'd suggest to look for are 决战奥格瑞玛 and 雷电王座 for 1-3 sockets/piece, and gear that is usable in any Timewalking except for WoD, otherwise 巨龙之魂 has a fair amount of socketed gear as well. You could, in theory, get the perfect gear for any expansions, assuming you have the time to grind it all out and the bank slots to store them, but I'd rather recommend you just get something higher ilvl that'll work for most expacs.

Finish that off with enchants and gems, including old ones, For actual BiS gear/enchants/gems I'd highly suggest checking out this guide if you truly wish to min-max Timewalking to the teeth. For reference, my protection paladin that I mentioned earlier only have 2x azerite pieces + SL legendary shoulders + best essences, and I'm still doing more damage/healing than most DPS/healers.

Final note

Keep in mind that your average pug groups won't be as good as you. Don't hesitate to let them know of the dangerous mechanics, or the five packs of mobs you're about to pull because you're overgeared AF. Keep queuing with the same groups if the last run was clean, or run with friends and guildies, but most importantly, have fun farming for your .

Dropped for me tonight on my first run during a WOD Timewalk week. I can't give exact numbers on how many runs I've done in total. I can say I used to do 5 runs on each of 20 max level toons ever since the event was introduced to the game. During that time I have earned enough badges to buy everything from all of the vendors, upgrade my heirloom collection to max level, buy gear for lower levels, and stacks of rep tokens. Since Shadowlands, only my 60s do five runs and all my 50+ do only one run per timewalk week.

I farmed timewalks for about 2 years. Qued as tank a lot, mostly to farm tokens for the mounts. Got bonus tokens for queing as tank or healer. Collected every single available TW themed mount from the vendors. I probably ran over 100 wrath dungeons in one week alone, saw timereaver drop maybe once for someone else. Also saw it drop during cata for someone. Figured i would never get it, just like Invincible, elegon, etc. All but gave up on it.

Then i was just doing the 5/5 tw quest for my mage, and it dropped on my 4th run of the week, in pit of saron, second boss. (really undergeared group too- so dont bail on groups, it just might pay off).

so basically dont give up hope, but also dont spend every minute of your life farming for it either.
It'll probably drop as soon as you stop hoping for it. Blizz is evil like that.

So I was thinking about writing a comment about this mount for quite some time, thinking it's probably gonna be downvoted into oblivion, but here goes anyways. It's just my personal opinion and for me it's fine if people won't agree with it, but I'm gonna stick to it no matter what, and even if I get it on the next boss kill, I would still stick to it 100%. I'm a hardcore mount collector so I know what RNG and hard work means (2 mounts till I hit 600 unique treshold) but this mount still really pisses me off.

I don't mind the low drop chances and grinds, but this one is just plain painful. Over the years (started doing TWs in Legion), I did alot of them. At first I was just farming the mount on my tanks (have pretty much BIS TW sets on 2 tank characters), then over the months I found out how worthless and meaningless this is, and that every TW week just means another week of playing WOW and being away from real life, and being disappointed at the end since it didn't drop. Then I switched to just playing it for fun (maybe 5-10 dungeons per week on my tanks), and to level my alts and get them to max level. With this way, I pretty much levelled up atleast 5-6 toons to max level in Legion, BFA, and so far in SL, I already levelled 3 chars to max level with just TW. Rarity got installed and deinstalled a couple of times, but I'm estimated I'm roughly 4-5k kills in (which is normal ofcourse since I'm seeing people with 10k kills overall). I also have every single TW reward there is, and probably around 50k TW badges across my account.

So what bothers me? In all these years and kills, I saw the mount drop for 2 people, that even didn't have a friggin clue it existed. And what bothers me even more? That Wowhead says the mount is obtained by atleast 15% profiles, and Top Mounts say it's obtained by 17% of the playerbase, while I would bet that atleast 50-60 % of these 17% got it without any real effort or trying. Since this mount is one of the few I'm still missing, it's making me so frustrated knowing I can't have it, while you see some people running around that didn't even know it existed, it's same for many Wowhead comments here (I'm not downvoting anyone and I'm not envious, no worries, It just makes me abit frustrated, that's it).

It would be way more fair for this mount to actually be awarded at some point for something guaranteed (Let's say 20k TW badges, 1000 TW dungeons completed in time), than this RNG 1 in 4000 crap drop chance.

Anyways, grats to the one having it already, I hope I will get it one day aswell. Peace.

EDIT: If you read everything until now, take a look at this. Another round of TW, and getting my 12th alt to level 60 via TW levelling. The mount dropped for a player during a run. Obviously a huge grats to him, but on the other side, it made me so mad since it was apparently his 1st timewalking dungeon. Screenshot to showcase why I wrote such a comment.

EDIT 2: DF update - 2 TW events have been up, and I have levelled 5 characters from 60-70 doing just TW dungeons. I saw 1 drop in Legion TW, from the 1st boss in BRH. A healer got it, and while he didn't reply anything to the chat, I looked him up on armory, and he had 3k achievment points, which means there's a small chance he was doing TW deliberately for the drake.

EDIT 3: DF update 2 - Every single class is on lvl 70 now (minus my main), only via Timewalking and 708 total unique mounts according to Simplearmory. Still no sign of the Timereaver. Now with 6 weeks of TW, I will complete 5/5 dungeons on all my tank & healer toons, and we'll see. I'm really getting pissed off that I still don't have the mount.

Honestly the trick to getting mounts is to not even know they exist until you got them. I was just randomly doing timewalk dungeons to level and what do you know got this off the second boss. I'm very pleased with myself, but I know that's my luck for the next decade gone.

currently im sitting at 1347 Attempts/Boss Kills (24.01.2022) i started this Event with 1041 Attempts/Boss Kills. (Unfortunately Rarity doesn't Include the Bosses from the "New" Dungeons added in 9.1.5 at the moment so i most likely have more Attempts than shown.

I just had this drop for me during the Pandaria timewalking (March 4, 2022.) I was only doing the 5 TW dungeon quest and it dropped from one of the bosses.
I’ve also been seeing posts in my WoW Facebook groups from people that got it this week too…and I feel like I’ve seen more people on this mount than usual around oribos this week. I wonder if the drop rate was changed or something?

I got this at a TWD from Cata after many years of doing 60 dungeons every TWD week (5 with every class). Echo of Tyrande was the boss. I just want to know if people get this mount at TWD from Legion/WoD and in the future BFA and SL, or you can only get this mount from the originals TWD from 6.2

Got it on my 44th attempt, such is the way of RNG. It was Darkmaster Gandling in Scholomance. Meanwhile, I'm sitting at 295 attempts on Invincible, 200 of them being full runs. Be patient and good luck to everybody farming this.

17446 attempts later, still have not gotten this mount. I still remember the day it was released, my mate got it on our second dungeon off one of the bosses in the Black Morass. That was 8 years ago and he has since quit the game, and I'm starting to wish I had followed him.

Edit 19/2/2025: I figured I would update this post to report I did finally get this mount. I had given up on it a while ago and was only doing Timewalking to level my alts. It's funny how things always seem to happen when you aren't trying for them. Best of luck to everyone out there farming this. I hope you have better luck than I did over the years.

I am currently in the pre-patch for dragonflight and had this drop on the last boss of temple of the jade serpent. I'm level 44.

Item is tradeable, and the message saying I could trade it was visible even though I didn't already know it.

People tend to leave very quickly when dungeons are over, I guess there's a tiny chance somebody else looted it and already know it, so it's smart to pay attention?

So from Legion until the beginning of Shadowlands, I didn't have attempts tracked for this mount. We can assume it around a thousand though.
Then, during Shadowlands I started putting in some effort to getting this mount and running Timewalking a lot more than I had before.
However, towards the end of Shadowlands I decided that I REALLY was going to go after it , so I built myself a Timewalking set on my Paladin and got to work, this time actively tracking the attempts each Timewalking.

I plan to keep this post updated until I finally get it, just for fun. You can assume there's another several hundred, maybe 1,000 uncounted attempts on top of this but it doesn't really matter.

15/11/2022, end of MoP timewalking (and final TW of Shadowlands): 1002 attempts (I noticed some confusion - this includes all my SL attempts up to this point but not any before SL)
10/1/2023, end of WoD timewalking (and first TW of Dragonflight and 2023): 1217 attempts.
31/1/2023, end of Legion timewalking: 1389 attempts.
21/02/2023, end of TBC timewalking: 1551 attempts
13/03//2023 - WOTLK timewalking: 1856 attempts AND ITS MINE. But it didn't actually drop FOR ME - my friend was doing his weekly on his alt and we ended up doing the optional/hidden boss in Gundrak just me and him at the end after everyone left. And it dropped for him and I was like OMFG. And he goes "your lucky night" and opens trade, the mad man.

So a huge thank you to my friend Nights - I'll be doing everything I possibly can to pay him back, but until then he owns my soul.

It's hard for me to believe that this mount has been out for over seven years. I remember being so enthusiastic about it when it came out, in fact, I had actually told my guildies before its release that Blizzard should release an Infinite Drake mount from TW bosses, though I imagined that it would use the Infinite drake models from TBC and not a completely new model... meanwhile, over 7 years later (the first two of which I spent grinding the mount fairly religiously) and I have literally seen this mount drop once. Once. And the person who got it didn't even realize it, it took me pointing it out and congratulating them for them to notice, and then they said that they didn't even realize that the mount was a "thing." Facepalm. But isn't that the way it goes? I had honestly halfway forgotten about this mount, but the TW event is live, and I remembered that this mount was a thing after running a few dungeons. A happy ending would be me posting about how I finally got it after all these years, but no, I haven't. I'm going to run a dungeon or two more before bed, I just came here to see what the drop rate was. After re-reading old comments and reading new ones for the first time, I'm not encouraged.. but it is what it is. Happy New Year.

Tip : Do not farm this on a max level character, I felt so stupid doing this on my main, as I was getting absolutely nothing and I already had everything that can be bought with TW badges, best way to farm this is to use a 60-69 and queue up for Timewalking, so that if you don't get the mount, you'll ATLEAST be leveling your toons to 70 and beyond.

Ugh, it's been years now and I have seen this mount drop for a total of 7 people (one being my SO). I'm still waiting for my chance and I'm hoping it's soon because 6 weeks straight of Timewalking feels like I may have a better shot. I'm at over 2000+ kills at this point :(

People going several thousand kills without a drop and no end in sight is toxic RNG, similar to how the Love Rocket and Pandaria WB mounts were.

Completely forgot this mount existed and it dropped for me randomly in Throne of tides from Ozumat. I've been doing timewalking for at least 3 years now if not more on 5-9 characters and I'd never seen it drop for anyone else.

I already wrote here, but just to let you know, that Timewalking isn't the only source for this mount anymore. You can obtain it from 量子骏马的缰绳, that drops from the new Mega-dungeon 永恒黎明. Last boss 时空领主戴欧斯 drops this item, and it can turn to any Dungeon mount. Visit 量子骏马的缰绳 site for more information as in how the mount works, and what can it turn into.

Since I had every other mount on the list, it transformed into the 永恒时空撕裂者的缰绳. Screenshot here. I'm so happy because I finally got it after more than 6 years of farming. I had more than 6k kills on this (Rarity says 2.6k, but it got deinstalled a couple of times of me switching computers etc.), and I saw 5-6 people get it in that period of farming. I'm probably never going to set foot in Timewalkings again.

So, when this mount was added I thought it would be a nice way to farm it leveling alters doing TW, for severeal expansions I had 27 max level alts but still no mount.
Today I did black temple TW for the quest chest where it can also drops with one of the alters, a level 63 one (DF expansion) and noticed I didn't get the chest for completing the raid, so I start to think....you who got the mount, were you max current expansion level ?

After 1119 kills, I finally got the Infinite Timereaver! :D I feel really really lucky (and immensely relieved), considering some of the nightmare kill counts I've seen other people get here in the comments.

I got it during the most recent TBC timewalking, with literally 3 and a half minutes to spare before the weekly server shutdown for maintenance. :D
The boss I got it from, for anyone who's curious, was Swamplord Musel'ek from Underbog.

For anyone who's farming this and is wanting to speedrun the farm, I highly recommend queuing as a tank to speed things up, along with learning how to play a little bit so you can make big pulls up to bosses a breeze.

Oh, and before I leave this comment for now, I decided to do a little fun math. I averaged how long each dungeon took, and giving a mild guesstimate on the total amount of hours it took me to get it, I came out at roughly 60 hours. That's like playing an entire AAA singleplayer game lmao. So imagine how long other people have been trying to get this. If you're reading this Blizzard, PLEASE make the drop more common for the love of god lol

After tens of thousands of TW dungeons, my buddy traded me 量子骏马的缰绳. I had a 1/10 chance of getting the one mount I actually wanted, and I got it: 永恒时空撕裂者的缰绳.

I recommend farming this mount through TW raid event. It´s more or less a joke to get it via Cache of Timewarped Treasures, pretty high dropchance. Got it personally after 24 caches and know a bunch of people who got it even sooner.

This CAN be given to you from the postmaster, proof below. I've been running an absolute ton of TW dungeons to level characters during this event and with that I sometimes miss looting a boss. To my surprise I noticed I had mail and check it to find this attached.

I had about 1,673 attempts on this mount from timewalking dungeons without any luck.

Decided to try out the TW Black Temple raid, and this mount ended up being inside the Amirdrassil chest reward that you get from the quest to kill TW Illidan. At last, it's finally over! Always pick up those weekly quests!

After years and years, and thousands of TW runs (been doing TW since its inception in WoD patch 6.2) this finally dropped for me today. I have never seen it drop before and was beginning to think it was a myth. Received it from The Black Stalker in The Underbog. Excited is an understatement!

it was probably her 10th(ish) Timewalking dungeon ever? She started playing WoW with me during the middle of DF.
So, for her it was roughly her 40th-50th attempt -- whereas for me, it took 1009 kills lol

As a Free Trial player (actually a veteran because I have 2 lvl70 mains), I can confirm this drops. I just looted it from a TBC dungeon boss (first boss) while time-walking in my lvl20 DH.

P.S. it requires lvl 27 to get... and like I don't wanna reactivate cuz I wanna keep my f2p toons (am just a casual player and cannot afford monthly sub, just one-time during vacations) soooo Blizzard can we have mounts as Warbound so that I can stash them in the warband bank and then if I decide to get a sub or if there's a returning free weekend to play WoW I can have my mains to get them? or else it's gonna collect dust until I decide to free my DH from his f2p status...

Dropped today from Gilnid in Deadmines TW. Seems interesting since that boss isn't shown to be able to drop this in the "Dropped by" tab. Character was a lvl 69 boomie at the time of drop.

I don't do a ton of TW, but randomly got both the Deathcharger and this mount in the same short session with a friend. The tragedy is neither of us care about mounts. I was a pretty serious pet collector for a while, so I know about the rabbit hole collecting can lead to. At some point this year I just refused to get involved in stupid farms anymore if they don't have a reasonable drop rate or some mechanism to ensure success. There isn't anything in the game anymore I care that much about. I also got the Headless Horseman mount this year, another mount I'll never use and don't care about. It disgusts me that these rewards go to someone like me that doesn't care.

I'm doing a relaxed trip through the BFA meta achievement now, just doing the ones that are reasonable. If I'm standing around waiting for something, or rolling the dice 100 times, that's a hard No for me. That's not a game I want to play. If Blizzard wants to nerf the dumber achievements some day, I'll finish off the remaining ones. (Because Jani is a mount I would actually ride! I have fond memories of all the Jani quests, and my pet Jani is a favorite.)

So... I'm on your side, farmers, and I hope Blizzard helps you out soon.

Dropped today from Magmolatus in Bloodmaul Slag Mines. Frostmourne OCE. First time I've seen it drop at all since starting the game in Legion.

I was on a my lvl 11 twink chillin' with a PUG and farming badges. Didn't realise you had to be lvl 27 or higher to learn it lol. Gave it to the only other person in group who didn't have it. Queue googling "can the infinite timereaver drop twice?

Dropped from Yor in Mana Tombs for me yesterday. 2649 attempts from the last counter reset.

Do not listen to anyone who tells you it only drops from the last boss. Not every TW boss has it on the loot table (like Eck in Gundrak hasn't got it), but many of them do. I've argued with a tank who was going to skip a boss because he was convinced it only dropped from last bosses, only for it to drop from that boss for the tank. It was the most satisfying 'I told you so!' I've ever delivered.

As for rarity, I've run TW from the beginning, and it wasn't until two years ago that I saw the mount drop. I've now seen it a total of four times, and have spoken with players who got it before they'd even done 10 TW dungeons in total.

Don't give up!

Dropped in the Thicket of the Dark Heart from the wood boss, on a level 20 trial account character, from about 50 dungeon. Can only be learned from level 27... My group did not react at all. Looks disappointing, they could have updated the model for such a rare beast. Already completed 300+ dungeons and I have not seen it drop for anyone in principle

I've been doing timewalking since it came out, majority of the time running it for this mount. I don't know how many runs I've done in that time, but it has to be somewhere in the thousands. In that time, I've seen 1 drop. That is, until I saw a 2nd one drop for the heals in a dungeon today. I finished that dungeon, and 2 bosses into the next dungeon it dropped for me as well.

That rollercoaster of emotions was nutty.

Finally just dropped for me from Saboteur Kip'tilak in Gate of the Setting Sun. No, I'm not gloating because I've done every single TW since this mount was introduced in WoD, that's almost ten years of trying. Always did the minimum of five runs for the week, sometimes up to 8-10 (especially in TWW for the vault rewards).

I created a level 11 Warrior twink to farm this mount. This one dropped last night in Zul'Farrak off the final boss.

I can confirm the mount has no level requirement anymore, that means any level can get and use this mount!

It's February 2026, this mount was added back on 17th November 2015, that's coming in at 10 YEARS and 3 months.

Based on how I run TW, how many dungeons I run a week, and that I started doing TW about halfway through Legion, not WoD when TW first became a thing. Starting with 4 weeks rotation per TW and later changing to 3, which if you ask me should be reduced to 2 weeks per rotation or at least some way to not have to wait 6 months between each unique TW week, I would estimate I have attempted this mount upwards of 25,000 times just from dungeons, add in a few thousand from the raids and who knows exactly how many attempts I have.

Remember this can drop from every single boss, not just the end dungeon or end raid. And I am not counting the newer raid quest boxes that also drop the mount because yes, I do have the mount, so the box shouldn't drop it for me.

Add in the fact that this can drop for every person in the group, historically this has also dropped multiple times for a single person, even after having learned the mount. Takeaway some attempts because not everyone loots every boss every time one is killed and I could be looking upwards of 70-80,000 potential times of seeing someone in a group get this mount give or take.

I have now seen this mount drop THREE WHOLE TIMES.

I think they need to increase the drop rate, because that is just ass.
