Dress for Luxurious Success: Gearing Your Bank Alt

血精灵强盗面具, an imperial mask, drops from 血精灵强盗, a spy hidden on 秘蓝岛. (Horde, don’t be discouraged—he’s hostile to you as well.) He has roughly a 20% chance to drop the mask, but respawns almost instantly.

贵族的眼镜 is obtained from 钓鱼宝藏, a reward for completing any of the Shattrath fishing dailies, which require lvl 70. While it’s roughly a 1% chance from the Bag of Fishing Treasures, these fishing dailies can also give you some other fun vanity gear, such as 破损的丛林帽. However, if you’re impatient to look sophisticated, consider getting either 珠宝师的红宝石眼镜, 珠宝师的蓝宝石眼镜, or 珠宝师的琥珀眼镜 from your favorite Jewelcrafter.

Another sophisticated option is 沃登勋爵的礼帽, but it can only be obtained by worgen in their starting zone. However, the hat remains if you race-change. Hopefully, 上流社会的礼帽 will be implemented one day for the rest of us.

Demonstrate your knowledge of the arcane by scheduling a visit to the haberdasher with 查莉·巴纳法斯. Decide between 紫色缠头巾 and 紫罗兰轻帽.

红宝石墨镜 is the ultimate luxury helm for your bank alt. Formerly sold by 哈莉丝·西尔顿 in Shattrath, this periodically resurfaces on the AH for a hefty amount. Grab one to show everyone how wealthy you are. If you want the cheap knockoff, have an engineer make either 正牌初级工程师护目镜 for bonus flavor text or 暗影护目镜, 飞虎护目镜, or 绿色护目镜 for the perfect tint. Unfortunately, 莱茵石太阳镜 were never put into the game for extra blingee.

While 布尔吉·黑心 may be a level 81 dancing ghost and pirate, his spoils, , can be looted by everyone in the party—no matter the level. Use your connections to get a first-class summon to Vash’jir when a good friend or associate spots the mob. This item turns you into a spectral pirate gnome. If you prefer fishing to swimming, try your luck at the in the hopes of getting 基佛天使鱼 to redeem into 幸运渔帽.

New to 4.1 is the 失去光泽的王冠, a BoE reward for completing 闪亮的报酬.

Amulets

格里伏塔 solves all your needs. Want to be better, stronger, faster? Griftah has the perfect tikbalang just for you, from 绳子上的肥皂 to 正牌寻宝护符.

鳄鱼牙手环 is found in 一袋金光闪闪的宝贝, a reward from the Cataclysm fishing dailies. Originally just a trash item, it’s been changed recently to be equippable.

A tip from commenter Yuoflim: make your voice heard with 语音增强模组, made by engineers. It’s both stylish and practical!

失去光泽的银项链 has a 20% chance to be looted from 浅墓穴 near 巫医祖穆拉恩, the 3rd boss in 祖尔法拉克. Perfect if your bank alt is an ‘antique dealer’ specializing in legacy items.

暮光信徒身份勋章 is an item used to summon Elemental Dukes in Silithus, which was part of an elaborate summoning system culminating in bosses that dropped raid-quality epics.

New to 4.1 is 金色项链, a reward from A Shiny Reward.

Shoulder

One exception is 火焰节衬肩, a reward from the 仲夏火焰节. Turning in 100 燃烧之花 nets you this flamboyant pair of shoulders.

CloaksChest磨损的长袍

黑色烬丝长袍 is the luxury robe of Cataclysm. Costing a BoP 混乱宝珠 to craft, befriend a tailor that enjoys heroics. It’s both scandalizing and classy at once. Mix and match with different shirts to change the look. Tailors can create several other BoE robes: 简易的黑裙子, 白色毛绒裙, 白色婚纱, and 简易的裙子.

德拉诺丝绸长袍 are sold by 阿古斯的哈克穆德, a Traveling Trader that rides around on 旅行者的苔原猛犸象缰绳. If you see someone mounted up, run over and buy it from him. Don’t tease 莫度鲁 like 哨兵琪珊·清泉 does; his grandmother’s robes are quite lovely.

There are several robes with unique models that drop from specific mobs in the starting zones—try collecting them all! They are 紫罗兰长袍, 蛛网长袍, 雪白的长袍, 血色十字军新兵长袍, and 轻便法师袍. There's reports that some are unavailable after Cataclysm, so play the AH just to be safe. We’ll include 达拉然巫师袍 as an honorary robe, even though it requires level 13, because it looks so awesome. 达拉然护士的长袍 has a similar purple tint.

By far the rarest chestpiece to acquire is the 正统韩服 sold by 基妮亚·日影 in Moonglade. It’s rumored that it respawns every two months. In the meantime, you might get luckier with her other limited-supply robes: 绿色韩式礼服 and 红色传统韩服.

Don’t want a robe? Consider one of the harnesses sold by 基罗 or 苏拉·蛮鬃, or 棕色亚麻外衣 and 流浪乐队外套 from tailoring.

Shirts

卡兰杜娜, a stylish tribute NPC to Donna Karan, sells filigreed doublets and martial shirts in a variety of colors. They’re a bit pricey, but that’s the cost of exclusivity.
Another vendor in Dalaran, 安吉莉克·巴特雷, sells 防腐外衣 and 伤员外衣 in the First-Aid building.

布罗希尔·古德格拉, the souvenir vendor at the Argent Tournament, sells shirts commemorating each participating race.

利斯贝·斯涅德 is the only vendor in the game who sells 醒目的黄衬衣 and 漂亮的黑衬衣. Her last name means tailor in German.
Tailors are an excellent resource—they can make shirts in practically every color and style. 紫色丝质衬衣, the color of epics, is from one of the rarest patterns in the game. There’s a series of Workman and Lumberjack shirts from uncommon Northrend patterns.

There’s also several shirts that are rare drops from mobs—水手衬衣 is one BoE that anyone cap equip.

Tabards

列兵战袍/斥候的战袍 only cost 50 honor to purchase and 骑士彩带/石守卫的纹章 costs 100 honor. As a level 10, you can queue up for Battlegrounds to earn honor.

银翼军服/战歌军服 from Warsong Gulch and 雷矛军服/霜狼军服 from Alterac Valley can be purchased with 2,000+ honor and have no rep requirement. In the past, honor on alts was easy to acquire with 冬拥湖奖章. However, with those removed, these tabards will take longer to acquire as they cost a good deal more than they used to.

探索者战袍 can easily be acquired by flying on a friend’s X-53型观光火箭 around Northrend.

Tabards such as 奥格瑞玛战袍 are also available from Quartermasters in capital cities with no rep requirement.

If your bank alt is a mage, they can equip the 肯瑞托战袍 from Dalaran since all mages start off friendly with the Kirin Tor.

Wrist法术能量

古老的银质手铐 are another rare reward from the Bag of Fishing Treasures. By far the best option for a sophisticated alt.

土著护腕 are the rarest part of the Aboriginal set, for a vibrant theme.

幽灵护腕 is a drop from a Tirisfal rare mob, 痛苦的灵魂.

New to 4.1 are 宝石手镯 from A Shiny Reward. These bracers are gold with green gems, very distinctive!

Hands丝线手套Waist

破布腰带 and 机织布腰带 are only sold by Horde vendors, so Alliance players may find it whimsical.

The Goblin starting zone features several vendors that sell unique items (in name, although perhaps not in looks). 浸水的布质腰带 and 浸渍皮带 are exclusively sold by “救生员”莎莉·滤沙. 卡乌格 sells 缝补好的编织腰带.

Pants

简易亚麻短裤 or 索利丹的长裤 make good blue jeans for a casual Friday look. 流浪乐队长裤 or 礼服短裤 from 裁缝 give a more formal appearance.

A tip from commenter TKitch: 破碎的食人魔短裤 may look like a Tarzan-esque loincloth, but it’s incredibly rare currently. It was looted from as part of the Horde-only quest 戈杜尼钴矿石. Unfortunately, that quest is no longer around in Cataclysm, so watch the AH.

This guide mostly focuses on cloth, but 粗糙的褶裙 and 粗糙的褶裙 are striking leather kilts from Horde shaman starting-zone gear that look great with a harness. 简易的褶裙 is a versatile skirt from Tailoring that matches most any shirt.

Feet

Several races have stylish boots as starter gear, such as 新兵之靴, the default boots for several warrior races. Other boots can be enchanted with 初级速度 which will shave off seconds of running!

A perennial favorite is 针织便鞋, available from select merchants. 礼服鞋 are also an elegant alternative.

The truly dedicated will try to win the 卡鲁亚克钓鱼大赛 and obtain 海湾渔靴, boots with a built-in hearth to Booty Bay. Make sure you skill up your fishing first!

As a bonus, go sit down next to 西德尔·格罗斯, the Dalaran cobbler. He’ll shine your shoes and buff you for the next hour with 锃亮的靴子, making your feet sparkle.

Rings白宝石戒指贵族的源质徽记指环

An easy bling fix comes from “大金牙”盖比, self-titled <Bling Merchant>. He sells the classic 无瑕的钻石, the less romantic 小钻石戒指, the unromantic Cubic Zirconia Ring, the apologetic 银星指环, the flashy 磐石, and apt 心境之戒 poking fun at xp color bars. Several other vendors stock these rings if Gappy won’t sell you bling.

To match your Tarnished Silver Necklace, get a 失去光泽的银戒指 from 一箱肉, a reward for completing any of the Shattrath cooking dailies.

Curse yourself by equipping 至尊一戒, a very rare catch from fishing. Or take a traditional sentimental route with 金色婚戒, once again found in the Bag of Fishing Treasures from the Shattrath dailies.

暮光贵族之戒 only works for DK bank alts, but it's a very rare item from 暮光之王艾沃兰, a rare mob in Silithus. Equipping this item allows you to bypass many of the elaborate steps in summoning lvl 60 raid bosses. However, the gear is obsolete, so you might as well keep it instead.

But the true mark of a bank alt connoisseur is found in the insanely expensive and limited wares of Haris Pilton. 恒金戒指 costs 3000g and shows your eternal love for luxury. Or buy her two 蓝宝石戒指s for a more youthful look. The most dedicated bank alt won’t think twice before buying the Noble’s Elementium Signet—it’s the only ring in the game currently that sparkles, plus with the right reputation, you can buy it from 奇克斯迪·古斯提 in Booty Bay for a discount, skipping Haris and her rude ghost friend 蕾古拉·尼切. In 4.1, there is another visible ring option, but it's BoP and you need to be 85 to complete A Shiny Reward: .

Trinkets

By studying 工程学 on the side, you’ll learn how to thwart mages and charm mechanicals in style. 自动净化装置 is learned from a schematic sold by 加格斯普吉特 in Ratchet. 侏儒通用遥控器 is learned from a schematic dropped by 机械师瑟玛普拉格 and also sold by 考格斯宾 and 金克·铁钩.

A truly lucky fishing aficionado can use 钓鱼大师鱼钩, the ultimate reward from the Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza. Outpace the envious crowds on the street and swim to your destination. Commenter mostpop points out that since anyone can level fishing now, a bank alt should try to pick up the 达拉然泰坦神铁徽记 and 巨型下水道老鼠.

Show off your ruthlessness by farming up 竞技场大师饰物 at the Gurubashi Arena. Collect 12 竞技场高手饰物 from the 竞技场财宝箱 which spawns every three hours. Pair it with 联盟徽记/部落徽记 for the low price of 55 honor (via Windyote).

Weapon

莱莉丝·晨星 sells an assortment of common-quality weapons more interesting than your usual starter-zone fare: 奥术熔铸战斧, 奥术飞镖, 奥术熔铸钉锤, 奥术熔铸短剑, 法力汇集之杖, and 僵硬的短弓. Maybe fish up 破酒瓶 from the Sludge Fen if things get ugly or get 生锈的草叉 in the DK starter zone if trade chat is unruly.

Or, you can look so absurd, your enemies will be confused and flee. Use the following zone drops: 农夫的铁锨, 农夫的扫帚, or 狗头人的铲子.

If all goes wrong, dazzle your enemies with 钻石长棍, a common reward from fishing dailies. While it looks like a staff, it counts as a 1-hander so any class can equip it.

Off-hand Frills

克莉丝蒂·斯多克顿 sells 葡萄酒杯 and 红葡萄酒杯 to complement fine dining for any occasion. 精美的酒杯 from the Bag of Fishing Dailies is good for more casual meals.

斯坦索姆百合花 is available from 索菲·艾林, a vendor in 净化斯坦索姆. Make sure to visit her before starting the event. She also sells a variety of other bouquets common to florists in capital cities such as 菲利希亚·加姆. 一束黑玫瑰 is the most luxurious bouquet, but there’s a certain charm to 普通野花 as well. 暗月花束 is a carnival offhand available from 5张奖券 - 暗月花束, for when your bank alt feels like supporting the wild side.

Send those rare offhand fish you’ve caught on your main for 没跑掉的鱼 to your bank alt. Or try fishing up 老滑头 or 老铁腭 near the AH.

蓝色烟花, 红色烟花, and 白色烟花 are only available from special NPCs with the <Holiday Fireworks Vendor> tag on July 4th on US realms and September 30th on EU realms.

Like the Ruby Shades, there are several vanity off-hand frills no longer available from Shattrath vendors. Back when Griftah was briefly exiled from the Lower City for selling dubious wares, he sold 泰罗卡丁香花 and 优质棍子 complete with snarky flavor text. Keep an eye out for these on the AH.

Holidays春节

瓦拉达尔·星歌 sells several festive robes and pantsuits, for the cost of five 先祖硬币. To an 85, it’s not very exciting, but your level 10 will need many summons or a good deal of time spent running to collect them all. 节庆长裙 and 节庆裤装 are the BoE option crafted by tailors.

情人节

可爱的黑裙子, once very rare, is now the ubiquitous dress from this holiday. It’s stunning, but along with the other rewards from 可爱的裙装盒 and 晚宴礼服箱, perhaps too common for the discerning banker.

复活节

is the perfect achievement for your bank alt. It can be completed by even a level 1, and what better title to denote generations of wealth than <the Noble>?

春季长袍 and 端庄的裙子 are striking robes, 春季头饰 is silly and overdone, 彩蛋篮 has a unique graphic, and 春季花朵 is the only bouquet of flowers that can actually be equippable as a main-hand.

仲夏火焰节

Midsummer offers a fun holiday set: the Mantle of the Fire Festival as highlighted earlier, 夏日外衣, and 夏日拖鞋 with a fun use. This set takes many Burning Blossoms to complete, so be diligent!

For the truly diabolic, sneak (or get summoned) into enemy cities and steal their flames to obtain the angelic 火焰节之冠 from 盗贼的奖励.

美酒节

美酒节礼服 series shows you’re not just any uptight banker. Redeem 美酒节奖币 from dailies to collect both sets.

While you’re sampling some brews, remember to pick up your stein of the year.
贝尔比的电眼浪漫护目镜/布利克斯的电眼浪漫护目镜 give you the buff 啤酒眼镜. Everyone turns into male gnomes/tauren, some in quite revealing gear. Perhaps save these for when you aren’t calculating finances.

万圣节

Don’t forget to trick-or-treat every hour at your favorite inn to have a chance at getting 万圣节头盔. Most of the disguises are temporary, but surely as a clever bank alt, you can create your own original costume instead of relying on a premade one.

悼念日

This is a short and minor holiday, but 一束橙菊 is a vibrant offhand, especially when paired with the similar Spring Flowers for dual-wielding bouquets.

感恩节

Give thanks for your yearly profits in Azeroth. Provide the catering for the holiday NPCs and receive the following apparel in return: 感恩者的礼帽, 感恩者的外衣, 感恩者的长裙, 感恩者的长袍, and 感恩者的靴子.

冬幕节

The 冬季套装 is campy and festive, but may require many world kills to obtain the hats, which are only guaranteed drops from several high-level bosses. Still, what else are you going to do when the banks are closed on holiday? Consider obtaining the winter clothes that are taught by the opposite faction.

Armor Vendors

There are several common-quality sets unique to a faction. 加恩瑟丝·泰尔雷 is the only vendor who sells the Light Cloth and Sun Cured sets for a traditional blood-elf look. Sally "Salvager" Sandscrew <Slightly Damp Salvage> sells Waterlogged Cloth and Drenched Leather sets and Chawg sells Recovered Knit, Salvaged Chain, and Water-Stained Leather sets in the Goblin areas.

Woven, Battered Leather, Dirty Leather, and Tattered Cloth sets are unique to Horde clothiers in a variety of both major and minor cities. For the alliance, the Cracked and Thin Cloth sets are unique. Vendors of both factions sell the Knitted, Rough Leather, and Light Mail Armor sets.

“银月”哈瑞 found in Howling Fjord sells select blood-elf starting gear. 托马斯·杨斯 patrols around 旧希尔斯布莱德丘陵 and sells starting gear for several races. 露西尔·卡斯尔顿 and other robe vendors sell distinctive robes such as 普通长袍 and 双线长袍.

One of the more useful guides, because there is no filter on Wowhead for "Item looks awesome=Yes".

In its current format the ability to browse this guide is hindered significantly because there is no "return to contents" link, or the information is not listed in tabs. The best way to make this guide easier to use for people would be to update the sections and make a Tab view for the "Items by Slot". Doing the same for view style for "Holidays" would also make it easier to browse. As an additional benefit to this is that the table of contents would drop from 29 items to 4, getting rid of a lot of wasted space at the top of the guide.

As for the content itself, amazing. I had fun running through the guide and opening new windows to see screen shots of items I had never heard of before. 血精灵强盗面具 is definitely a must for all you AH under-cutters!

I personally find alot of the classic tier and Dungeon sets to be rather fun to get, as well as making up some using different profession sets.

Granted this hinders the make alt, and go factor - u WILL have to level ur alt a bit (at least till about lvl 45-60) but hey, it wont take long since cata. And soon youll look spiffy, and well educated ^_^

I think you should add the 胜者的长袍 as an alternative if your bank alt is a goblin. They look awesome, and my bank guy also have some glove that match the robe, aquired from the goblin starter zone.

I've dressed my Bank Alt with a lot of the items mentioned in your guide. Before I found your guide, I didn't know about the Martial shirts and just had her in a boring tux, so thank you for helping me give her back a little of her original Power Puff color. :)

I really wanted her to be able to equip the Red Wine Glass with the Diamond Cane. Unfortunately, the Cane counts as a two-handed weapon and would not allow me to equip an Off-hand with it when I tried (as commenters on other pages suggested the "2h" reference was merely a tooltip error), so I've gifted her a one-handed Diamond Hammer instead!

I think you should add 芙洛拉的认证徽章 under the ring section! It's a ring that drops from certain bugs in Sholazar Basin! I particularly like the text "Dripping with the juice of a particularly nasty bug."
Rumored to have a very low drop chance. This item is also very expensive on the AH, if it's even there!

Of these, Bouquet of Orange Marigolds is definitely the best offhand but I don't believe you can get it anymore.
