This dress was inside the easter eggs (literally) that were placed around Azeroth during the Easter holiday! They were a fairly rare find. Same model as the White Wedding Dress, but a peachy color.
7 hours in mulgore =131 eggs
39 x Chocolate Square
42 x Candy Bar
46 x Lollipop
2 x pants
2 x dresses
Looks lovely if you ask me. Shame its so rare!
Very similar to the Lovely Black Dress idea. Contained in a seasonal gift and very rare. Goes on AH for a lot and is not bind when used.
check it out for yourself.
If you want to buy these try to get them around easter time otherwise the prices do seem more expensive.
Totally found one of these after 28 eggs. You could call me a master egg finder.
One of the most aggravating in game holidays imo. I just spent 3 hours looking for the dress and this is what i found
Total Eggs: 160
Candy Bar: 63
Chocolate Square: 56
White Tuxedo Shirt: 1
Well no more farming this stuff anymore
After approximately 2 hours and around 125 eggs in Eversong I managed to find 2 of these. Also netted 4 of the tux pants and 2 shirts, among all the crappy candy.
Eversong had the highest concentration of eggs for me, so that probably played a large part in why I found them.
So...I'm a pet collector and i love nice outfits, so i just had to get that dress
Today i spend around 5-6 hours of total time in Mulgore on my horde pally with crusader aura on. I looted total 185 eggs. Before getting the dress i got 2 Tuxedo Shirts and Tuxedo Pants as well as a lot of candies, chocolates and lollipops...
So if you really want that dress, be prepared for a possible long farming.
I'd advice getting Cartographer or another map mod, allowing to set notes. Go here
choose the area and write down coordinates to your addon. It really helps when you see each possible egg spawn location on your mini map. :D
I actually found this after 6 eggs, and I was farming for it :)
Character 1: 87 eggs, 1 dress
Character 2: 56 eggs, 1 dress
Together: 143 eggs, 2 dresses
I was farming these and was QUITE certain there was no way it would drop for me.
Wouldn't you know, sixth egg it drops. Prolly fetch a pretty copper on the AH since I was on my RP server toon.
I farmed it in Eversong Woods. Stood between the two statues and the bat handler. Ran between the three spots and there was a quick respawn on all of them.
By the bats wasn't as quick, however there was usually some behind the trees nearby.
Careful if you're farming by the fountains, they like to hide in the bushes. ;)
Farmed this for approx. 5 hours. Nearly gave up until I randomly logged on to check a few more eggs before the 24 hours was up. During my farming I got:
46 Candy Bars
60 Chocolate Squares
2 White Tuxedo Shirts, and;
1 pair Black Tuxedo Pants before finally nabbing the dress.
As horde, I first attempted Mulgore, noticing that most of the eggs were near trees or bushes. However I found that the eggs were too spread out here so I tried Durotar next. Not bad here if you stick to the starting zone, fairly fast respawn, however the view got kind of bland. I switched to Tirisfal for a change, I found this to be the worst area. I finally ended up in Eversong, which is the best place I can see for Horde. Eggs are fairly easy to spot, fairly close together and spawn quite quickly. Do a few loops around the Sanctums and you will find that by the time you get back they will have already spawned again.
Also, Eversong is nicer to look at than most places anyways. :P
NOOOOO!!! Not a male dwarf in this dress!!!
*claws out eyes, runs off screaming*
Looks like I have the record. A record I don't want.
Black Tuxedo Pants
White Tuxedo Shirt
Random loot is random.
Yes, that is 241 eggs found and looted.
24th egg for me, and 25th for my husband, and we each got one. It's our third year trying to find them, with no luck previous years.
As a horde, I tried Tirisfal Glades first, and then moved to Durotar. I found that there were fewer people looking in Tirisfal, but that the eggs were duller in color and hidden more easily by the trees, compared to Durotar, where they were more brightly colored and stuck out against the orange background of the ground. In Tirisfal, they were always in the middle of clusters of trees. In Durotar they were on the ground near hilly outcrops, outside of empty buildings, and on the islands off the shore.
Regardless of what you read here, the best place to look is the place with the least competition. Do a /who of each of the friendly zones (which for me was Mulgore, Durotar, Tirisfal Glades, and Eversong Woods) and see which has the fewest people level 40 and up. Since mounted people will be your hottest competition, go to the one that's least crowded. Seeing the eggs isn't too bad in Mulgore but it was completely farmed out on my server, whereas Durotar was a lot emptier.
I managed to find a dress on my 6th egg, but I realize that it's also my fault (according to the law of averages) that some people don't find one until their 300th egg.
I'm currently at 632 Eggs.
3 Rabbits Feet
2 Tuxedo Shirts
Chocolates coming out of my ears
My wife (who also plays) got our 10 year old daughter to look for the eggs whilst we made lunch and in 47 eggs she got:
2 Tuxedo Shirts
2 Tuxedo Pants
1 Elegant Dress
1 Spring Robe
1 Rabbit Foot
And of course chocolates.
Guess who's going to be doing my grinding later.....
I collected around 350 eggs until I saw that I didn't need the dress for meta achviment xD
Really love this dress, my char looks sexy in it
Took me about 2 hours of constant farming on a low-pop realm off-hours in Bloodhoof Village. This was the last item I needed. My totals:
149 Noblegarden Chocolate
1 Spring Circlet
1 Spring Robes
1 Blossoming Branch
2 White Tuxedo Shirt
2Black Tuxedo Pants
Before getting my Elegant Dress
157 eggs looted total.
So as I read this I left my toon stand around a spot where an egg spawns and I got a Spring Dress out of the around 4 eggs I opened whilst reading the comments. The eggs actualy spawn around 2-5 mins imo because it didn't take me 2 hours to read this page lol
At just about 400 eggs looted:
2 Spring Robes.
1 Spring Flowers.
2 Spring Circlets.
2 White Tuxedo Shirts.
1 Black Tuxedo Pants.
and a couple of Blossoming Branches.
Should've read here 30 mins earlier. Screw that dress :P
Oh, the best place I found to be looting eggs was Falconwing Square (by far... ?).
under 50 eggs and i got 3 of them i lucky with getting these dresses like the lovely black dress i got 10 of them but since I'm a mini pet collector this dose nto matter at all if i can't get my lovely mini pet >.<
my god this is a pain in the ass to farm.
in 3 hours or so, I've looted 319 eggs and found:
7 Blossoming branches
5 tuxedo pants
5 tuxedo shirts
2 spring rabbits feet
0 spring circlets
0 spring flowers
0 elegant dresses
trying to find that dress is hard :( and its the last thing i need
but the pet is sick
I can't help it... I think this dress is terribly, terribly ugly. Maybe one female character in ten looks good in it. Most of the night elf skins clash with the pink color, and it makes my human characters look washed-out... in this case, Blizzfail at dress design.
i get this dress for 5g on the AH, i never knew it took that long to get, so ima keep it for next year (:
What are some nice shoes to go with it? Are there any nice pink or white ones? Or are they all black?
the drop rate on this from eggs is depressingly low.
and 5 branches
before i got my dress
Farming these in razor hill. I have over 300 chocolates, opened over 400 eggs I think...
Got few sets of items, branches, 2 pets... this is amusing and depressing
440 chocolates and no dress. This is AWESOME.... :(:(:(
Plus the very
thing about it is you can just buy the &*!@ing dress off the Vendor for a few eggs.
So there's no actual kudos to owning the Dress, since it's possible for everyone to get it. >_<
Should have stayed Drop-only. Then it'd actually be worth owning. :(
Is it so wrong that, the second day after returning to WoW after I quit 2 years, I found this dress in the very first egg I gathered?
Does the dress obtained from the vendor count towards the obtain an elegant dress achievement? I purchased the dress, but did not get the achievenment. Some posts above allude that you can accomplish the achievement by purchasing the dress with chocolate eggs.
This Dress was actually very easy for me to find. I have dozens now in my Bank Alt's bank. It's even the same model as the White Wedding Dress, but a Peachy Pink dress.
It actually kind of reminds me of Peach's dress from Mario. And matches perfectly with the Styled Blond haircut! ;P
This+Worgen=Little Red Riding Hood Wolf
Does anyone know if there're any other colors of this?
I've seen the Kezan Partygoers wearing a black one, so...
350 eggs, 5 of everything else, but still no dress... That's just not fair.
I finally got my Elegant Dress...
After: White Tuxedo Shirt x5, Black Tuxedo Pants x5, Spring Circlet x3, Branch x4 and like i dont know, maybe 500 eggs or something..
And FINALLY i got my Achievement. Dressed for the Occasion...
Been farming for about 5 hours(3 in Azure and 2 in the other three areas)...found 550+ eggs, 4 Spring Flowers, 7 Blossoming Branches, 3 Spring Circlets, 2 Tux shirts, 2 Tux pants.
Over 700 eggs and I still cant get it... :/
4 x Spring Rabbits, 8 x Branches, 2 x Tux Shirts, 4 x Spring Flowers, 3 x Spring Circlets, 700 eggs, and just now i realise theres an egg in my bag, open it and its the dress -.-
So far I've been hunting for 3hrs and have collected:
4 tuxedo pants
4 tuxedo shirts
4 White Rabbit's Foot
7 Spring Circlets
3 Spring robes
7 Spring flowers
and 0 elegant dresses.
11 Blossoming Branches
7 Rabbit Feet
6 Spring Flowers
3 Spring Robes
3 Tux Shirts
2 Tux Pants
1 Elegant Dress
Those were my results, at least. Funny how far some people will go for an achievement, huh?
Chiming in for statistical purposes. I got mine in my 472nd egg.
well then... i managed to get two, whithing minutes of each other, less than 100 eggs
Silly question, but is this a female only orientated quest? I've been at this for hours now and have farmed 6 or 7 hundred eggs with no sign of the dress. I'm a tauren male and I just wondered if this has any bearing?
Ok , tauren males are the sexiest in this dress, and with the bunny ears ... OMG...
Magtheridon are so stupid. I got this dress for 4 silver off the AH. It's great as well because i'm a non-combat player so I just get pretty clothes and do bgs every now and then.
Farmed ~400 egs, got the pet(1) the mount(1), a lot of the other itens
but not the dress, yet
Farmed for a few hours. 600 or so eggs, one mount, 8 branches, 550 some odd chocolates, 3 rabbits, 3 full tux sets, 2 spring circlet, and still no dress. I don't know how accurate .05% is. Almost done with all the achievements.
I am starting to this this is more rare than the mount lol. 800 or so eggs so far, 731 chocolates, 5 spring circlets, 6 spring robes, 5 branches, 6 full tux sets, 2 rabbit feet, and no dress.
Yet last night on my other character, I got just enough eggs to get the 500 chocolates for the mount and had 2 dresses drop. Grrr.
710 eggs (100 poly tome, 100 achiev, 2x5 for egg, 500 for mount)
7 dresses (1st in first 50, 5 more in one 50 batch somewhere around ~500)
8 spring robes,
1 spring flowers,
2 rabbit feet,
5 or 6 tuxedo suit pairs,
7 or 8 branches
3 spring circlets
Was done in two days (evening at TB on 1st, morning in SC on 2nd), couple of h for each by collecting in batches of ~60-80.
RNG as usual, but to me it seemed like I got more or less same items in sequential batches, e.g. 2 item types made like 3/4 of what I got from 2 or 3 batches in row, getting doubles/triples/etc., until favoured items changed gradually over time.
Left 1 of each, discarded the rest ...
Edit - do it in SC (at least until everybody gets there), I was able to collect (and open) batch in 15-25 mins even competing with 1-2 ppl (area is small and egg locations are packed and easy to remember - quite often moved to place, like one of stalls, and looted 2-4 eggs in reach without even moving ...)
took me 485 eggs. :/
6 tuxedo shirts
3 tuxedo pants
11 bunny ears
0 spring robes
Branches I didn't count.
I used the Elegant dress (had a friend put it on) from an old Noblegarden event but couldn't get the achievement...turns out the dress had 0 durability and wouldn't count towards the achievement until I repaired it. Hope I can save someone else the hassle - almost bought a new one before I figured out what was wrong.
Its a late comment i know but alot of my guildies asks me if you get achive from buying it aswell, And no you dont..
After opening just 57 eggs, i got
1 of this dress
1 swift springstrider
2 Bunny pets
2 black tuxedo pants
1 white tuxedo shirt
That's pretty lucky i must say
got it on 102nd egg.
from the other 101 eggs i only got chocolate and a few flowers. will keep going for the damn mount.
Well over 1400 eggs later, still no elegant dress...
Will we be able to transmog items like these in Legion? (with the new wardrobe system)
So can it be transmogriphied? also, is this cosmetic or cloth wearers only?
205 egg, and I dropped Spring Rabbit's Foot and this Elegant Dress. Now I am gonna buy Noblegarden Bunny. Mount Swift Springstrider is not that good looking.
Don't know why Blizzard added a second same looking item with same name:
.. They could have made this one transmogable and that's it..
For those wondering why there are now two versions of this dress as of Noblegarden 2018. (
Blizz likely added the second dress so that they would not have to change the older un-bound version to soul-bound. Instead, Blizzard left those older versions alone and put in a new BoP version for mogging purposes.
Note: This older Elegant Dress no longer has a source. Unlike the new one, it does not bind, and is generally available in the auction house, though that may change now. I expect the slowly price to rise because it is a popular dress for bank alts. The new dress is unavailable to a bank alt unless the bank alt does the eggs.
This older Elegant Dress still works for
Kind of upset that this didn't turn into the cosmetic version. Now I have to farm an item I already have to add it to my wardrobe.
This appearance is only useable during the holiday: Noblegarden. Even if you get the dress remember you can only use the xmorg 1 week a year.
Transmoggable in 10.0
This is the old version, which is not available for transmogrification, but is equipable all year long, and is tradeable, so you can still find it on the Auction House.
is the new version, and it's BoP. You can learn the appearance, but it's only available as a transmog source during the
holiday. However you can still equip it all year long if you drag it to your chest slot.
Note: despite what it currently says under the "Contained in" tab, this is not available from the
anymore, the new one is.
