This is one of the trinkets acquired by defeating four bosses in the Edge of Madness section of Zul'Gurub. The bosses are Gri'lek, Renataki, Wushoolay, and Hazza'rah. Each two weeks the current Edge of Madness boss changes in a predictable rotation, so constructing this trinket takes a minimum of six weeks.

This Charm will be converted to the "rating system" come 2.0 (or whatever the next patch is called), which will diminish its scaling as you level up. It might not be worth making this late in the game.

You first need to loot a voodoo doll from a hexed voodoo pile. The doll is class specific and spawns all over ZG. Usually one just outside the bat aspects area and another one in the spider egg room. Then you need an alchemist to learn the recipe by reading it off the tablet in the back of the edge of madness. They take a blood of the heroes and a black lotus along with powerful and massive mojo to make a potion used to douse the flame. This then summons one of 4 different bosses per instance. They each seem to have only 2 drops plus the quest item. They have dropped only 1-2 of the quest items for us per run. You can only summon one boss per run so it does take some time to get the 4 quest items.

I got mine today. Lots of time, luck and effort went into the creation of it. Having to turn up to almost every Zul'Gurub run in 2 months to do it is not fun.

Saying that, I'm using it in conjunction with the Zandalarian Hero Charm and it kicks buttock. Pity you won't be able to use them together once 1.10 comes out.

that it doesn't have equal duration and cooldown like the broken reel. As those two items do not share a cooldown you can pop them at the same time. Means awesome crits which are all guaranteed to hit.
Still not sure if I should rather grind for this of Talisman of Ascendence.

I have never seen this, wanna know why? cause it's damn hard to get. You would have to do EOM 4 times and win the role each time. EOM resets NOT with the instance, but every two weeks just so other people can do this, so about four people can get one part every two weeks, not bad for a five or 10 man, but a twenty man, most people are out of zg by then. Oh and did I mention that the mats required to make the pots to summon are insane, and will take a few weeks of farming, not only zg but black lotus? So if you're in a guild that can't progress beyond zg but buys gold, go for it, otherwise keep dreaming.

As a side note, you can use this and the neck and get the 2 set bonus with the tier 1 2 and 3 full sets, which is very nice, and is pretty bad ass.

on another side note @ the person who posted before me, this may be a type-o but you say that combineing this with the broken reel = a crit that garenteed to hit? Beyond it's lack of sense, it is also false. chance to hit affects chance to crit not at all, unless you have enough chance to hit gear to REDUCE your chance to crit, simply because it incresses your chance to HIT not CRIT, meaning it won't be resisted, although it may not crit.

First this took me months of running ZG to get. Probably one of the hardest trinkets to aquire in the game.

The main Challenge is 'the edge of madness' is an optional area in zg. So to save time, most raids will bypass this area.

The second challenge is that you must get a drop off each of the 4 bosses.

The third challenge is that you must attend every weekly raid because the bosses rotate. So if you miss one, you must wait a month to fight him again. (the plague on the wall in the edge area tells which boss for that week)

The fourth challenge is that you must outbid/outroll your fellow raiders for the drop. :-)

But....the result is an amazing trinket which I have never seen on anyone else (Gorgannash Aliance).

When it goes off, a nice explosion with "massive destruction" notated!

And tho it doesn't always make you crit, it has a quick enough cooldown that I rotate it with my ZHC for nearly nonstop trinket action.

Edit: oh yeah I forgot to add that the set bonus for this roxors my soxors and the nice thing is you can combine this trinket with your zg neck to get the dmg bonus w/o giving up any armor slots.

Not all use trinkets share cooldowns.
I'll have the last piece within a week and we can know for sure.

Got it and no it does not stack. Should still be cool for keeping imp shadowbolt on bosses in a raid. Thinking like at 30% Huhu fights.

This is a neat trinket when used with 灼熱之痛 and the talents 破壞, 餘燼風暴, 強化灼熱之痛 and, of course, 毀滅.

A well-geared warlock tends to have around 20% base spell crit, and with talents they get an extra 15% to 灼熱之痛. When they finally use this trinket as well, their total spell crit chance for this particular spell goes up to ~45% unbuffed. In 20 seconds time you can cast 13 of these spells, meaning roughly 6 of your spells will land as crits. With this type of gear, the warlock can expect to crit around 1650-1700 per cast, and hit for around 550-600 without buffs. In 20 seconds time, then, you will deal an average of 14075 damage, or roughly 704 DPS. Not too shabby against a single target without buffs or DoTs.
