Before anyone starts flaming on this about the 1yd radius increase for aoe, check your old dusty math textbooks to refresh your memory on what happens to circle AREA when you increase RADIUS. That's right it's RADIUS not RANGE.

area = pi * radius^2

area of old spell = pi * radius^2
area of spell with trinket = pi * (radius + 1)^2

Increase of area = 2*pi*radius + pi

In this case, with radius = 13, we get:

increase = pi * (2*13 + 1)
increase = pi*27
increase = 84.8 yards

from an original area of 530.9 yards
to a new area of 615.7 yards

That's really not bad if you also take into effect talents that increase crit%, increased dmg, and stunning effects of the warlock spells.

Pre-BWL it's an awesome neck item

a few bits of info:
a) is free and garentee'd
b) may take some time to get to exhalted
c) is one of the only necks that is part of a set, so if you have one or two other pieces of it, which you will definatly have by the time you are exhaleted with Zandalar, you actully recive a much larger damage incress than is on the pendant

Also, it kicks arse when used around a flag, or just as a graveyeard full of people is about to rez in a BG.

. . .I'm a bit confused. . .this is supposed to be an update to the blue version, correct? (If not, ignore this then.) But why does it simply switch the stats? I mean, the other one has 13 stamina and 8 int, while this is reversed. I'd prefer the first one if it were not for the better bonuses. . .it's like they named this thing taint just to show us how much they hate warlocks.

If you look at some of the other stuff out there this is a pretty good necklace. it gives only 1 less Stamina and 3 more Intellect than the choker of enlightment and althought the choker gives 4 more damage... If you get this and the trinket which increases your crit chance by 10% for 20sec with all destruction spells, it will add another 12 damage making it a damn good item. plus you can still wear full felheart or w/e.

This item is not rolled on, and does not drop from any mob. It is awarded to you for reaching a certain level of faction with the Zandalar tribe.
At every new Zandalar faction level you are eligible to receive a new amulet from an NPC on Yojamba island. You simply turn in your old amulet, and you are given a new one. The better your faction, the better the amulet:
Friendly: Uncommon amulet
Honored: Rare amulet
Revered: Better Rare amulet
Exlated: Epic amulet

I can't believe that Im seriously the only one here who has replied...Pizza and Geometry!

Anyone who knows pizza knows when you add an inch to Pizza you get a lot more (and heres an important word) area.
Think from one yard (roughly three feet guys) from you to any direction. You can wrap one person up in a hellfire that big, huh? Now...dramatic pause...think out another yard. Whoa...5...6! Thats a big ioncrease in people effected in just one yard. And guess what? The larger around, the bigger the increase in area. So not only is one 1yd increase in hellfire adding enemies you can cover in it, but each subsequent one adds even more than the one before it. Pretty soon adding one inch on the pizza will feed 4 more people.

You can tell which one I know between pizza and geometry. Any math guys out there wanna give me a formula for the progression in area?

And why can't I get /pizza to work, damnit.

There appears to be a bug in the warlock necklace received from having exalted reputation with Zul Gurrub (Zandalar Tribe). The item is called Kezan's Taint at lower levels, and ultimately transforms into Kezan's Unstoppable Taint. There appears to be a clear progression with improving stats with increasing levels of reputation, as would be expected.

However, the revered necklace has 13 stamina and 8 intellect

The exalted necklace curiously has 8 stamina and 13 intellect.

Is this intended, or should the exalted necklace actually have 13 stamina and 8 intellect as well?

Links below to each of the necklaces on thottbot. I have checked with other warlocks and they confirm that this is accurate in game.

I also checked the necklaces for the other classes. None of them seem to have this strange stats switch at any reputation level.

It's got pretty nice stats on it, I think it's better than Choker of Enlightenment, but I'd stil take Charm of the Shifting Sands over it, +25 Spell damage, 9 stam, 12 int. However, if you use another piece of the set, then if you get the two piece bonus, I think it outweighs the Charm. A little more spell damage (With the set bonus), More stam, less int, and a nice lil' bonus on AoE. Difficult to get unless you aim for it, though, but if your guild still runs ZG often, go for it, its free. Unless you have Choker of the Firelord, or don't intend to wear two pieces. But those shoulders aren't bad....

Choker of the Firelord still wins though. But this with 2 pieces or charm of the shifting sands are close.

If you are fighting your way into MC, don�t waste DKP on the Choker of Enlightenment, let a healer have it. Go for the Kezan necks while you save the DKP for the Choker of the Firelord. If the healers aren�t fool enough, they will pass it to the dps classes.
This neck also puts an end to the Anastari Heirloom days.

While fighting Nefarian in BWL, my guild use warlocks with the talents that gives 70% chance to avoid interruption, and with Concentration Aura = 35% chance to avoid interruption. One Warlock stands at each of the mob spawning holes, and does Hellfire. They do not use Salvation (blessing, 30% less threat), and they keep the units together so mages and other locks can AoE them. (Ofc. lock gets all heals to survive.)

The point is, the creatures has to move 1 more yard away to get away from the AoE. This takes time, so if the warlock looses agro, he may get the creature back if he uses this neck.

It is not so useless as it seems like.

The increased radius effect here is just enough to allow a 術士 to pull 高階祭司塞卡爾 from the mountain side. If you don't have anyone confident enough to pull him, just summon yourself to the pile and pull him yourself.

Furthermore, this item appears to have a hidden bonus effect. When you click at 強化火焰之雨/地獄烈焰 and see what spells it affects, it of course increases the radius of your AOE spells (by 16% in terms of area, mind you), but it also appears to affect 靈魂之火. When you go to the spell itself and confirm this by looking at the Modified by -tab, you also find the effect of this necklace there. Because distance and radius are two different concepts, it may not actually increase the range of this ability at all, but I can't confirm any of this.
