Full set gives +287 to healing spells.
Currently I have +434 to healing spells. Actually I can have over 500 if I max it out. If I had full transcendance plus the rest of my current trinkets and cloak, etc, it would be +506.

So my renew (highest rank 9) heals +290 every 3 seconds. It is supposed to heal (according to the tooltip) 1012.5 over 15 seconds, tho it actually heals for 1447 with +healing bonuses from gear. Renew Rank 9 costs me 328 mana. About 4.5 hp healed per mana point spent.

And my renew rank 5 heals +165 every 3 seconds. It is supposed to heal 393.8 over 15 seconds (about 79 every 3 seconds), tho it actually heals for 826, or more than double the amount it is supposed to heal, due to the +healing gear bonuses. Renew Rank 5 costs me 153 mana. That is 5.4 hp per mana point spent. It is very mana efficient, no?

Renew is the most efficient priest heal spell there is. My rank 1 renew heals 295 hp for 27 mana, lol, or 11 hp per mana point spent. Also, this set bonus automatically casts renew, and I assume it saves you the one second it actually takes to cast a renew spell, which actually is nice, if you think about it.

however, as a set bonus, it's ok, but not great. A free 153 mana every time you get off a greater heal is ok. The renew wouldn't work if there is a "more powerful spell in effect" tho. It's pretty good tho, as you would not waste time casting renew every 15 seconds, and would essentially heal 4000 hp for 816 mana, or very near 5hp per mana point spent.

And yes, you can, and should, use greater heal in combat, not just after battle as someone said. Greater heal heals roughly 4 hp per mana point spent, or more than that with good +healing gear. Flash heal heals just at 2.5 hp per mana point spent, and just at 3hp per mana point spent with maxed out +healing gear. So if you have an 8k mana pool, you can heal 32,000 hp by casting greater heal, and you can heal 20,000 hp by casting flash heal. That 8k mana pool, with well-timed heals, and ideal syncronization with other healers would heal 40,000 hp when wearing a full set of transcendence.

These numbers are all for holy/disc priests with the talents maxed out for mana efficiency on healing spells. If you're a shadow priest or other form of idiot (damage specced holy priest or wand specialist), you're healing efficiency won't be close to these numbers.

Anyway, the only time I wore full devout set was in strat/scholo, where all of the set bonuses (+shadow resist, +spirit, +damage to undead, etc) were useful. There might be occasions when wearing the full transcendance set will make sense, like when your concerned with using mana efficiently. For now, I think getting the 3 piece bonus from this, as well as the 3 (or even 5) piece bonus from the prophecy set is the way to go for most situations.

kk, so it DOES stack with other renews...sweet. Id rather this set than almost any other for mana effecancy(cant spell for @#$%) cause of the renew and +healing... easy to get a 8k+ mana pool at 60-70 ;p
