Where to Start in Legion
Leveling
Legion takes places at the
Broken Isles
, a set of islands with many places known to Warcraft III players and lore addicts, like the City of Suramar and the Tomb of Sargeras. Your leveling experience starts with the Assault on the Broken Shore, the place where the Tomb of Sargeras resides, then collecting your Artifact Weapon, a powerful weapon of old that will accompany you through the entire expansion.
Click here to learn more about the Assault on the Broken Shore, and the first steps into Legion!
Tip: The
Midsummer Fire Festival
is currently happening,
check out our guide
to learn how to gain extra experience during it.
After those initial steps, you can start leveling in the Broken Isles proper. In Legion, there is no correct order in which to do each zone - Thanks to scaling technology, Legion zones will scale to your level, all the way to 110! This means quests, quest rewards and enemies will scale to your current level, meaning you can level in whatever zone order you like best, or even level with a friend that is a couple of levels ahead of you.
Leveling Zones
Legion has 4 zones where you can level, all of them with very different themes and objectives.
Azsuna
Azsuna is last home of the Highborne. This zone is rich in magical leylines. The magic that seeps through the zone is so intense that there are multiple crystal formations across the zone! Quests here award
Court of Farondis
reputation.
Val'sharah
Val'sharah is a zone filled to the brim with druidic lore and is currently one of the prime sites of the battle against the corruption that permeates the Emerald Dream. Quests here award
Dreamweavers
reputation.
Highmountain
Highmountain is the home of the Highmountain Tauren tribe. This zone is full of mountainous areas and waterfalls, and you need to be strong to survive the hardships of the terrain. Quests here award
Highmountain Tribe
reputation.
Stormheim
Stormheim is home to the Vrykuls and Storm Drakes. This zone has many roots on the Nordic mythos, from rugged highlands to epic, massive statues! Quests here award
Valarjar
reputation.

guide is right up your alley!
Max Level
After you hit 110, there is plenty of different content for you to tackle.
World Quests and Gearing
Different from previous expansions, Legion does not have daily quests. Instead, we have
World Quests
, a more organic system that spreads tasks around the world, giving you many different rewards with each completion. World Quests feature many facets of the game such as PvP, PvE, Professions, and Pet Battles. Each World Quest has a timer for completion, and new World Quests spawn every day!
Learn more about how to unlock World Quests here!
As you hit max level, you will unlock quests for the Legion main endzones, starting with
Сурамар
, then
Расколотый берег
and finally unlocking
Argus
. It is advisable to reach Argus as fast as possible as it allows you to get the best possible gear available from questing. To unlock different zones, there are small quest chains, close to the attunements of old.

And click here to learn more about Argus, Homeworld of the Legion!
As you reach Argus you will unlock a new currency called
Дымчатый аргунит
. This currency is similar to the Badge systems from past expansions, which can be used to buy gear tokens to help you equip yourself.

Dungeons and Raids
As you acquire more gear, you can start looking into participating in Dungeons and Raids. Dungeons have changed drastically since past expansions, with multiple difficulties and queueable options. Raids have also changed, with flexible difficulty sizes and many difficulties for all sorts of players.
One of those new raid modes is called the
Raid Finder
, where you can queue for one of select Legion raids, and the game will automatically pair you with a group of players. This is the easiest raid difficulty, and it serves as a way to introduce new players to raids, as well as giving them some gear.

Player vs. Player
PvP in Legion has been drastically altered. Players now have access to
Honor Talents
, PvP-oriented talents that only work with PvP active or inside instanced PvP content like Battlegrounds. There are a total of 12 Battlegrounds for you to choose from, as well as Prestige rewards for grinding honor!

Discord and WoW Communities
Recently, many WoW players started using Discord as a way to set up their communities.
Discord
s a platform built to bring gamers together. Discord's free voice and text chat is about making it easier for you to spend time with the people you care about, play with and want to keep in touch with. The reason Discord is thoroughly successful in its mission is due to the number of features it has. Some of these features include 100% Free Communication, IP & DDoS Protection, Browser Support, Mobile Support, Friends List, In-Game Overlay, Low Latency, Low CPU Usage and many others.
