Changed in Build 13117 - Permanently enchant a weapon to sometimes increase dodge rating by 600 and movement speed by 15% for 10 sec when striking in melee. Requires a level 300 or higher item.
This is a pretty amazing change and clearly puts this high in the ranks for at least early cata tanking.

Important question- Can this stack if its on two weapons, like Hurricane? Accoding to what is said in the other posts, it stacks with other move speed effects. So can this proc once per wep? No ICD after all, if what Alexander1989 said is right. 30% move speed would be amazing for PvP.

This buff has no internal cooldown, it is able to refresh itself, although unlikely due to the low proc rate, estimated at 4-5% using dummies, devastate, recount and spare time.
As far as I can tell this enchant still procs on failed, eg. missed, dodged, parried, melee attacks. But more testing needs to be done to accurately support this claim.
Still this enchant is LOADS better than mending which is healing you for less than a mage does.
Not only does it have a nice dodge proc which increases your dodge by about 3% it also gives a speedbuff which is pretty darn useful for a majority of the fights.
Finally: This is not something to be expected to have a 100% uptime, it's a good proc which enables you to adapt your gameplay to it; in other words - a fun enchant which differes it from the 130 agility and its ilks.

What you need to know:
1ppm
, no internal cooldown, procs off of melee attacks only, doesn't proc from rend
works out to about 0.8% extra dodge after dimishing
I tested it with monkeyspeed addon which shows boot enchant run speed as 108%. WIth boots++windwalk proc it shows 124%, so they stack

As a prot pally with Pursuit of Justice, You get 15% added to that 115% already, so it sums up to 132% speed for the duration of the proc.

This is a great enchant, a must have if you are planning to do HC raid content. Expensive as... Something not so cheap, but definitely worth it. I just purchased this, and I except it to last me a quite a while on HC content.
EDIT:
Forgot to mention that I am a bear tank, and a recruit status having guy in our guild so our hunters will get the HC version first. So this chant will gwt me a pretty nice mileage.
Even though it cost me an arm and an leg. Ouch.

After two hours of testing in various heroics, I've come to the following conclusions:
1) There is no internal cooldown. Back to back procs are possible, and hardly even uncommon.
2) If the enchant has a static PPM, it is
at least
2 ppm. Currently, I'm sitting at 2.2 ppm though I have further testing to do. Theorized upper bound of 3 PPM based on 3 back to back procs.
other tidbits:
*the proc appears to stack with just about any movement speed increasing effect. As a Paladin, it stacks with Pursuit of Justice. Likewise, boots/enchants/talents granting speed increases will also stack.
*Interestingly, it also seemed to stack with temporary movement speed effects such as a Swiftness Potion (172% as reported in character window - PoJ seems to take a backseat to Windwalk + Swiftness). .

I would like to answer I question I asked higher up in this thread. I went ahead and farmed the mats to get TWO windwalks, one for both my weapons (I am single minded fury.)
You can, and often will, have two buffs up at once of it
, much like
附魔武器 - 颶風
. It will show to icons, both with their own timers and everything. This boosts the up-time to a ridiculous level, to the point that I always think I am snared if it is not active in combat. I do not know of a good addon or way to check PPM, if anyone suggests one I will go ahead and use it.
Now, good news bad news. Good news is it stacks. That's a whopping 1200 dodge. Bad news is,
the movement speed does not stack
. Even with both up, you will have an increase of 15%. It seems that while windwalk stacks with nearly every speed boost in the game, it does not stack with itself. So, dodge stacks, movement speed does not. But with the up-time from two weapons, and my boot's 8%, I am running around at 124% speed most of my play time in combat.
Again, if anyone can tell me of a good addon or method for PPM, I will do some tests. I just dont know how to with any accuracy, not like recount or skada would work very well...

I would agree with you on this.
Testing the Mend enchant gave approx
30k
worth of healing over a
4 minute period
of constant attacking (give or take). If that extra
3% dodge
mitigated even only
1 or 2 heavy hits
.....it would already surpass the 30k in healing. And chances are, even with a proc rate of 5% versus the 10% proc of mend, you will see that 3% dodge plenty of times over the course of a boss fight to make it worthwhile.

I speak from a PvP perspective primarily. Obviously landslide is our dps enchant. I am going to be updating this post with some uptime information, thanks Claytongriffith.
Fury is very variable, so I had to find some way to make the numbers make some sense. I think they give an idea of how much of an improvement a second windwalker is, but not really the exact numbers. Between flurry and crit streaks, it was hard to test. I did some runs with a full fury rotation, and with and without a second enchant. When testing one enchant, I went down to good old Urtharo in the valley of strength and bought a sword with the same speed as my offhand. This caused a negligible difference in crits (and thus flurry procs, increasing speed). Average speed with my weapons throughout the test was 2.27 (All weapons used were of 2.6 speed, and flurry ended up with around a 50% uptime.)
The tests with a rotation were 6 minutes long. The averages are as follows;
For ONE Windwalk, rotation, 6 minutes;
33.49% Uptime on the Windwalk buff.
Average of 16 procs per test (2.66 Procs Per Minute)
For TWO Windwalks, one main hand one off hand, rotation, 6 minutes;
43.38% Uptime on the Windwalk buff (more on that later)
Average of 28 procs per test (4.66 Procs Per Minute)
Now, looking at the above numbers, your thoughts may be "Whoa wait, what? How is that possible? 2 more PPM, and the buff lasts 10 seconds! How can it be just a 10% uptime increase?". The reason is that there tends to be overlap on the two, separate buffs. While it will proc more often, there were many times where one would proc, then the second would, and when the first expired, the second did soon later. That means it wasn’t really a full proc that got to be used (Move speed buff wise, the dodge stacks.) If it was, say, two seconds after the first that the second procced, then the first ticks 8 seconds, goes away, the second buffs countdown expires two seconds later. Take away from this is that while it DOES boost uptime, going by PPM is very inaccurate. What should be noted, however, is that a moving target such as a player (The move speed is nice in pvp) does not stand still like a target dummy. As such, getting that buff quicker means you can chase after them when they run, as you may not have the time to hit them again and again for the proc!
Still, I wanted to do some auto attack tests. Below are the results, they ended up confirming the above. I did not get the 30% uptime on one enchant and auto attacking however (Which many people have been saying is the average uptime.)
For ONE Windwalk, auto attack, 3 minutes;
17.2% Uptime on the Windwalk buff.
Average of 3.49 procs per test (1.165 Procs Per Minute)
For TWO Windwalks, auto attack, 3 minutes;
30.29% uptime on the Windwalk buff.
Average of 7.8 procs per test (2.6 Procs Per Minute)
This would seem to tell a similar story. Your mileage may vary, but by enchanting both weapons with Windwalk, expect a 10-15% increase in uptime. The big argument for putting it on both would be that it WILL proc far quicker, so you can get some hits, get the buff, chase your foe and try for it again. With one, you may need more time to get a proc, and your opponent may be outrunning you.

I assume this behaves just like this for druids. Therefor, if a feral cat would have this enchant and it proccs they'd have a ludicrously high movement speed wouldn't they?
