Can horde hunters tame this pet too?

This mob has to be one of the most annoying in the game. A massive aggro radius, and they are everywhere, ready to attack while you're trying to kill bears and boars.

I came to tame one of these with my Orc Hunter in my level 20's. After finding out the Adult ones had a slower attack speed (2.00), I travelled BACK to tame one of these (1.50).

First thing I do when I tame a pet, is check it's take down speed using Eyes of the Beast.
Not only is it handy to have a pet who runs ahead of you to a mob when you send it to attack, but as a WSG PvPer it's essential I can send my pet on dash to catch a Druid fast across the field carrying the flag, to use Intimidation.

There used to be three speeds of cat (after King B was nerfed).

Fast
Normal
Stupidly Slow

Only two types of cats had the stupidly slow run speed. The Durotar Tigers.. and to my dismay, the Snow Leopards. So with much crying I set Echo free,

Thanks to Blizzard however, my Moonstalker Matriarch which I tamed after I set my Snowleopard free, now runs as such a slow speed I decided to go BACK (at level 53) to recapture a Snow Leopard.

Now I'm in the middle of levelling Agamemnon up and I'm very happy with him.

I juz got kumar... n he iz a 2.0, i went back and got 4 other juviniles and there all 2.0! DAMN BLIZARD there switching all the petz 2 b the same! they better not tuch Brooken Tooth

If you are horde side and want a very unique pet get one of these. I ditched Humar at 27 to get 1 when I saw 4 lvl 60's with him. You will also see a Ghost Saber from time to time, so I went with a cat that I still have never seen, let alone at 60, Horde side. The 1.5 speed makes this a quality all purpose pet as well.

My Blood Elf travelled all the way to Dun Morogh at Level 10 for one of these beauties :) Called her Jodie and with me now at Level 48 :D Horde players still ask me where i got her, was a very rare sight for me as a BE with a snow leopard at 10 lol... anyways snow leopards are awesome, as a cat they are supposed to be better at DPS (which Jodie is) but she's great at taking the hits :P She'll always be with my Hunter :)

I've raised one of these since both of us were cubs. Now in my mid-20s, I can spank nearly every other pet of the same level.. even the tamed "elites".

I have done my best to provide Map Mouseovers for each and every beast, wherever possible!
Unfortunately some do not yet have maps, but these will automatically be added to this post when they're added to the NPC's page.

Cower, causing no damage but lowering your pet's threat, making the enemy less likely to attack your pet.
