Being a hunter, my most epic drop ever was definately on Illidan about a year ago...It had been a long night and the server was a bit unstable. Late as it was, we were moments away from downing him for seemed to be the 100th time when all of a sudden...my internet epicly dropped.By the time I reconnected some other hunter had taken the bow. The End.
I'd have to say my most epic loot was my Lawbringer Spaulders. Spent months doing Molten Core and they never dropped but when they finally did think I nearly fell off my chair. *Day Dreams* Ah back in the day when the only raid instances were Onyxia, Molten Core, and Blackwing Lair. **
The 5th naga I killed in STV dropped the Nightblade, then another one dropped 7 nagas later! This was right after release, and those bad boys made me some sweet gold!
My most epic encounter was while I was in storm peaks on my death knight and I jumped off a cliff next to an alliance and death gripped him off while I used one of those slowfall lagers.
Jeklik's CrusherOn greed roll in Zul'Gurub, Leader forgot to turn masterlooter on.This happened on Pre-TBC times.
Another "epic" loot for me was the undead slaying set from the pre-WotLK event. The first few nights the spawns were so crowded it was impossible to do anything, but I stuck with it and eventually managed to collect everything but the chest piece by slowly clearing undead one by one. Earned quite a bit of rep with the Argent Dawn as well. Just a few days before the event finally ended I managed to come across some like-minded individuals, and we farmed the shadows for several hours until we all had our undead slaying gear.
Well that is pretty easy,After farming Time-Lost Proto Drake in Storm Peak since the release of Wotlkalot of hours a day i finally got it yesterday, and im still pretty exited i got it.The funny thing is on that day i also got the White Polar Bear from the Daily inStorm Peak, so it was prolly my most lucky day :)
Had to be getting my T6 chest off Illidan the only time our guild ever downed him. I rolled a 76 and watched multiple people hit 72-74s.. I was ecstatic!
The most epic loot ever, was the Brain Hacker on my tauren warrior..! I was like, woot! In your face b******s! Time to gank some gnomes! ^^
The best loot story I have would definitely have to be the Perdition's Blade off of Ragnaros. This was back when I was still in grade school living with my grandparents so I had to be very quiet on ventrilo and such to keep them from knowing I was up playing the video game they hated so much.Boss dies, the dagger drops after 3 weeks of no luck, and the only rogues in the raid that still need it are myself and this new applicant (so naturally I would probably recieve it.) I can't control my excitement and accidentally cheer out loud, the blade was the last thing to be decided by the loot council and then all of a sudden I disconnect. (My grandda had heard me and unplugged the router from downstairs!)I knew that going downstairs would only mean face to face arguing with my grandda, so hurriedly, I unplug the laptop, run through the dormer room and rush out onto the second floor deck near the garage. My neighbor's had an insecure network and my plan was to get close enough to their house to log on before the officers decided to give the dagger to the other rogue because I was offline. The ladder I'd always used to sneak out of the house (remember, I was just a teenager at the time) was gone. So I jumped. After shaking myself back up I ran through the bushes seperating our yards, leaned up against my neighbor's house, quickly connected to Ventrilo and basically yelled "WAIT, I'M STILL HERE"They laughed at me knowing what had probably happened (this wasn't the first incident with me grandda) and congratulated me on the dagger. Out of breath and with the adrenaline flow finally stopped, I realised that the fall from the deck and trying to protect the computer had subsequently ended with my shoulder being dislocated! I had a hard time explaining that to my grandfather at one o'clock in the morning.Still got the dagger though, and after getting my arm fixed up, I had a blast "ganking" in Black Rock Mountain before every raid.Edits for english typos and what-not.
My most epic loot drop was from my first real toon, Ukan 67 orc hunter. It was for Henrod's rod in the Alterac Mountains. I heard it was a low drop rate, and i farmed those damn yetis, for a solid hour, the most I've ever had to stay on a single item quest. When it dropped, it was seriously the most epic feeling of relief.
