I would have to say that my most epic drop would have to be The Cenarian Helm, the Tier 1 druid helm from Molten Core. Not only do you have to fight the battle of running a 40 man raid enough until your item drops, but then you have to out roll however many druids are in the 40 man raid! It was truely an honor. And since I was balance, it was nice to actually get a leather item with stamina and intellect before The Burning Crusade. :-P
My most epic loot was probably the engineering recipe that allowed me to get to 375. I love engineering!
Upgrading some "Of the Monkey" level 58 green pants to a Wildheart Kilt. Yeah, that went over well as a rogue. <_<

I never had the dedication to raid, so my most epic item was of course AV-related.Unstoppable Force. The hammer shaped like a pig. So awesome.Even if raiders had far, far superior items I stil loved my little hammer.
The epic drop I'm proud of is the staff of infinite mysteries that i got from my 2nd in karazhan where we didn't wipe five times before moroes.
MY most epic loot I've ever gotten is the Time-Lost Figurine http://www.wowhead.com/?item=32782. Dropped out on my first and last Terokk's kill, I praised to have it, other party members saied "well need at the next drop, take it". Then I went on wowhead and saw the drop rate -----> 2%. I felt so lucky ^^
I still have my complete T1 set because of the good long hours I put into getting it among 40+ other hardcore raiders. The last pc was epic. Epic blunder: I vendered the boots, but a gm was nice enough to send then back to me.
my most epic drop would have to be when my guild 20 manned sarthon (first time heroic) the onyx guardian and i won the fury of the five flights trinket
So far the most epic loot I have recieved was the Sunfury Bow of the Phoenix
