The Artifact Retirement Quest is Now Available - Max Concordance and Artifact Level

Posted 2018/06/26 at 1:13 PM by Anshlun

Artifact Retirement questdoes notmaximizes your Artifact Power, leaving your Artifact at level 126 - Concordance of the Legionfall level 75

Important: You must complete the Silithus quest chain that begins with Summons to Orgrimmar or Summons to Stormwind before you have access to this quest, at which point you must relog your character in Dalaran.

Just some clarification on this one but yes there should be a quest called "The Speaker's Call" that should begin the Artifact Weapon Overcharge. You will need to complete the prerequisite Magni quests in order to receive "The Speaker's Call". When you complete this it should overcharge your artifact up to Artifact Level 126 which puts you at 75 Concordance. All of the existing traits will function until the pre patch.

Take advantage of the overcharge and go take on things like the Mage Tower, Ahead of the Curve: Argus, and The Chosen. Also don't forget the usual Mythic mount drop chances that will be lowered from their guaranteed 100% when Battle for Azeroth goes live!

It should only affect Artifacts that are below that value. So if you're above Concordance 75 it should keep you at that Concordance value. However you might notice it jump up in a week or two ;)

This just simply upon completion moves everyone to Concordance 75 and then next week another bump, and then another. You get the picture.

TL;DR: Smash everything.

Awesome, gonna look forward to messing my weapons up big time when I return to Azeroth.

Also, poor Shaman for not being represented in either scenario while Darion gets to hang out on both sides...

Comment by Ahndrumon

AP just became obsolete.
For now....

Comment by Theun

Can confirm, your traits do not go away. Knew my laziness with AP would eventually pay off :D

Comment by Itsversayce

I've been grinding AP tokens on my main for the past few days to finally hit 75 (after taking a break on that toon) and now I can simply just get it when I'm only two levels away with a bunch of AP missions set to return. Should have expected this, can't even be upset about it. Very happy I can get all my alts to 75 easily too.

Comment by Shahaman95

wait, really? our artifacts will increase to the maximum level? we will not lose anything?

Comment by Raiakh

Seems to only be on NA servers at the moment, will probably come to EU tomorrow.

"Important: You must complete ALL previous Magni Bronzebeard quests beforehand, including the one that you go to Sholazar Basin."

This is incorrect. I have never done the Scholazar Basin quests on any of my toons and have access to the artifact retirement quest.
As far as I can tell, the prerequisite is only to have done "Summons to Stormwind" and following quest lines in Silithus.

Comment by NeonKitten

Strangely, the one character of mine that has defeated Argus and done the Silithus after-quests is seeing nothing in game to indicate that anything is happening, but all my alts are being sent to Silithus, presumably to do those awful quests about toilet paper ;)

Comment by Draccy

Max concordance? Oh dang, these are going to be interesting weeks until pre-patch hits.
I'm guessing that's the incentive for people that were like "I'm not going to trash my artifact until the expansion".

I'm also guessing anyone who does wait is basically going to be locked out of most BFA content unless they do that quest. Is anyone going to leave a character on the side to test later down the road?

Comment by Bahamullti

Why does not this quest show up for me?
I completed all of Magni's quests

Comment by leens

yep is not showing up for me either.....

Relogged 3 times, even re launched B net. Even tried on my 2 other toons who done all the quests. Doesn't trigger

Comment by kureus

Can someone confirm this is live for EU and we don’t need to wait till maintenance/reset tomorrow?

Comment by sinangelus

Hope they made AP vendorable again like in Nighthold...

And after all there is a different NPC option for Horde and Alliance, that's pretty cool.

Comment by pankrac

Oh I am sure Blizz thought about that and if you don't retire your artifact yourself now, they will gladly do it for you when the pre-patch hits;-)

Comment by Leunamsil

Why is Valeera Sanguinar on horde side? she was one of Wyrnn's best friends and more than once worked with/for the alliance...

Yup not seeing anything and iv already walked across Azeroth to every location this quest may be and iv reloged 3 times and even closed the B-net launcher to see if the game would up date and there is still nothing. :P

Comment by MechaZao

can't get this to trigger.. I have no Magni quests available and have done the silithus chain.

Comment by Ahndrumon

Does it wipe all 3 weapons or do we have to do it 3 times?
Or 4 for my druid...
