Battle Pet Updates in Patch 7.3: 40+ New Pets, Family Fighter Achievement, Battle Scaling Tech

I Bet That Aussie Pup Pet Is An overwatch promotion such as the primal saber heroes promotion or the hearthstone steed. Overwatch is releasing the Australian junkertown map and probably will have a promotion to play or win that map a number of times to get the pup in world of warcraft, it would suck for the non-pc versions of overwatch tho.

The new dog pet just looks like the corgi with longer legs. Having a version with a hat and bandanna doesn't change that it's a tweaked corgi. It just looks lazy, but considering Blizzard keeps enabling mobs as mounts without even adding a saddle and bridle to it, I'm not surprised they'd just add a "new" pet by just changing the length of a previous pet's legs. Guess that's better than yet another moth, though. They at least made some effort to make it different from the already existing corgi.

And no surprise. Blizzard put the belt that holds the "corgi's" backpack on in the wrong spot. It should be just behind the front legs, not in the middle of the torso where the rib cage would end. But hey, Blizzard fails with that on mounts, too.

Jeez, pet snob much?
Anyway, look at the model closer. Look right under the bandanna over the shoulder.
Not where you suggest it should be, but I feel that configuration also works.

Man, so many new pets to get. I especially want Naxxy and Dibbler.
I hope the eventual 7.3.5 comes about with the next pet dungeon. That'd be fun.

Also glad that Family Fighter will be a bit shorter of a wait. I don't know if those abilities are "unique".
They do the same stuff as Apocalypse, Ion Cannon, and Sweep. Unless the latter two just have higher damage.

Discarded Experiment makes me happy. I wanted a minipet of that god awful abomination for so long. It doesn't look like it'll be a strong pet, but I don't care. I've got a few stacks of pet biscuits ready. I just hope it's somewhat big, like yeti pets.

Speaking of yetis, Globe Yeti looks scary. Yetis really should be Hunter Pets in the Gorilla family.

Blizzard is trying out new pet battle scaling tech in Patch 7.3. If you fight Crysa or Environeer Bert with low level pets, the encounter will scale in level to match your highest-level pet.

This looks promising. Reminds me of some Pokemon stuff.

As a big pet collector, all I want is to not auto summon a pet whenever I put them into a battle team/click on them/look in there general direction.

This will keep me busy, that's all I care about! Gonna avoid looking at models so they can be a surprise when they drop / I find them out in the open :D

If they're having pets from both Spine and Madness, hopefully they plan on doing something with that PITA roll mechanic on Spine.

I really hope that golden retriever pet isn't a promotion for Overwatch, HotS, etc. I'm tired of Blizz bribing players with overpowered battle pets and flashy mounts in an attempt to get us to buy their games.

We need some challenges left in the game as its becoming to easy. Its a tedious encounter, yes, but dare I say, I'm starting to enjoy it!

Nice round up of the new pets coming in 7.3.

You have scripts running from sdad.guru what is it for?

He said "PITA" not "hard." It is absolutely the former. Even without that dumb fight, DS is annoying to farm with all the long, unskippable RP.

agreed so much. especially when you have another pet out already and or buffed with a biscuit then change your first slot pet to something else for a pet battle quest and the new 1st slot is auto summoned instead of your previous pet staying out :|. very annoying.

You would think they'd make the golden retriever actually look like one... *sigh*
