Shaohao Reputation

Emperor Shaohao is a new faction on the Timeless Isle. There are no daily quests or "mandatory" epics to grind out for this reputation--it's all about killing things on the Timeless Isle for vanity loot!

After a mid-week hotfix, Path of the Mistwalker now grants +250 reputation. This is the only daily quest that gives reputation with Shaohao.

The quartermaster, Mistweaver Ku, is located on the eastern side of the Celestial Court on the Timeless Isle. He sells the following items.

Requires Friendly:

• Mask of Anger: "Carved by the Monkey King for Shaohao, this mask draws the anger from its bearer when worn." 0 Timeless Coin

• Time-Lost Artifact: DPS trinket that also has an on-use teleport to the Timeless Isle, Call of the Mists. 0 Timeless Coin

• Celestial Defender's Medallion: Celestial Defender disguise. 0 Timeless Coin
• Harmonious Porcupette: Summons the battle pet Harmonious Porcupette, with the following abilities. Scratch, Celestial Blessing, Hibernate, Claw, Moonfire, Tranquility. 0 Timeless Coin

Requires Exalted:

• Reins of the Heavenly Golden Cloud Serpent: Account-wide mount. 0 Timeless Coin

Reputation is primarily earned through killing yaungol and fire elementals on the Timeless Isle.

There are essentially three different places to farm reputation. It is best to farm reputation in a group of five players--being in a raid will decrease the reputation earned. You may also want to farm certain areas for special loot drops for Going To Need A Bigger Bag or inscription techniques, included below:

• Firewalker Ruins: Ordon Candlekeeper (5, drops Charred Recipe, Battle Horn), Ordon Oathguard (10, drops Technique: Glyph of the Watchful Eye, Warped Warning Sign), Ordon Fire-Watcher (10, drops Ordon Ceremonial Robes, Blazing Sigil of Ordos).
• The Blazing Way: Burning Berserker (15, drops Big Bag of Herbs, Forager's Gloves, Technique: Glyph of Headhunting), Molten Guardian (20, drops Cauterizing Core), Eternal Kilnmaster (20, drops Blazing Sigil of Ordos, Charred Recipe, Eternal Kiln), Blazebound Chanter (20, drops Ordon Ceremonial Robes, Blizzard Stone).
• Ordon Sanctuary: High Priest of Ordos (25, drops Ash-Covered Horn), Blazebound Chanter (20), Eternal Kilnmaster (20), Molten Guardian (20, drops Cauterizing Core).

Rare spawns also give additional reputation--however the reputation amount will decrease based on the number of people that have tagged it.

• Champion of the Black Flame patrolling the Blazing Way: 30 reputation each. Also drops Blackflame Daggers.
• Watcher Osu in Firewalker Ruins: 20 reputation. Also drops Ordon Ceremonial Robes.
• Jakur of Ordon in Firewalker Ruins: 20 reputation. Also drops Technique: Glyph of the Weaponmaster and Warning Sign.
• Urdur the Cauterizer in Ordon Sanctuary: 40 reputation. Also drops Sunset Stone and Ordon Ceremonial Robes.
• Flintlord Gairan in Ordon Sanctuary: 40 reputation. Also drops Ordon Death Chime.
• Cinderfall by broken bridge: 40 reputation. Also drops Falling Flame.

Reputation Tips

Each area has pros and cons to farming:

• Firewalker Ruins:This area is the easiest to solo and has fast respawns in a small area, but the reputation granted per mob is low. It's pretty efficient to group up, pull everything to the center, and AoE.
• Blazing Way: This area is convenient if you are trying to also kill Leafmender, Huolon, and Cinderfall. Burning Berserker is the easiest mob to kill when soloing. The mobs in general are pretty spread out, except by Shrine of the Black Flame, which will require a party for the Eternal Kilnmaster. A neat detail is that these mobs are really into herbing--they drop herb-themed items, cast Forage, and have lots of alchemy elixirs lying around in Ordon Supplies.
• Ordon Sanctuary: The mobs here grant the most reputation but are the hardest to kill between Eternal Kilnmaster's Blazing Blow and High Priest of Ordos using the most annoying abilities from each other Yaungol. You will need a group for this as well as a legendary cape on one character to jump across the bridge gap. There are creative ways to make it across the gap without a cape, but since the mobs are difficult to kill, it is hard to find a group while undergeared.

Reputation bonuses work on these mobs:

• Battle Standard of Coordination/Battle Standard of Coordination: Grants 15% bonus reputation for all guild members within 100 yards. Banner will despawn if you get too far away or die, so consider picking up Banner of Cooperation/Banner of Cooperation and Standard of Unity/Standard of Unity as well as backups.
• WHEE!: Grants 10% reputation gains for up to an hour if you ride the Darkmoon Carousel. Downside is that this buff can only be acquired during the Faire, and if you die, you have to return to the Faire to get it.
• Mr. Popularity: Guild perk that increases reputation from killing monsters and completing quests by 10%.
• Holiday buffs that stack with other reputation buffs, like Unburdened for Hallow's End.

Quests

There are several introductory quests to the Timeless Isle award reputation:

• The Last Emperor: Speak with Emperor Shaohao. +250 reputation
• Timeless Nutriment: Consume a ripe crispfruit, sand-covered egg, charged crystal, huge yak roast, roasted seed, or fire poppy on the Timeless Isle. +250 reputation
• Wayshrines Of The Celestials: Find an active Time-Lost Shrine and request a blessing from the Celestials. +250 reputation
• Drive Back The Flame: Earn an Honored Reputation with Shaohao by defeating yaungol forces on the Timeless Isle. +250 reputation
• The Archiereus Of Flame: Summon and defeat the Archiereus of Flame. +250 reputation

Blizzard also made Path of the Mistwalker a daily quest that awards 250 reputation.

Battle Pets

There are three wild pets unique to the Timeless Isle, several sold by vendors, as well as other battle pets that drop from rare spawns.

Note: Skywisp Moth is hard to reach since it only spawns in areas that you'd think you need a flying mount for. But if you attack a Highwind Albatross, it will pick you up and fly you around the island until you attack it again--great for reaching obscure areas.

Find and loot the Gleaming Treasure Chest, Rope-Bound Treasure Chest, and a Mist-Covered Treasure Chest on the Timeless Isle. Gleaming Treasure Chest: Located on the fourth stone pillar to the northeast of Pi'jiu Village. To reach it, head to the Firewalker Ruins and successfully jump across four pillars. Rope-Bound Treasure Chest: Located by the broken bridge going to the Ordon Sanctuary, this one will require you to jump between the stone pillars and tightwalk rope. A good place ot start jumping from is at 60.2, 45.9. Mist-Covered Treasure Chest: Located by the Blazing Way, this is between two of the bridges. Click on the statue to get shot up into the air, and as you're descending slowly with Crane Wings. click on the temporarily-spawned Mist-Covered Treasure Chest. These chests can be completed weekly.

Eyes On The Ground

Check for loot in suspicious places throughout the Timeless Isle. Giant Clam: in the water, can be close to fatigue. Glinting Sand: on the beach. Crane Nest: lush jungle areas by Crane NPCs, can also contain Azure Crane Chick. Eerie Crystal: all around the Cavern of Lost Spirits. Ordon Supplies: areas with Ordon, like the Firewalker Ruins. Fiery Altar of Ordos: by Ordon Sanctuary, can be reached with Highwind Albatross Firestorm Egg: cliffs by Ordon NPCs, can be reached with Highwind Albatross

Timeless Legends

These four items share numerous spawn points, and clicking on them grants a 10 min buff with a fun visual effect: Cloudstrike Family Helm: Cloudstrike. Inflicts 200000 Nature damage to enemies within 8 yards and knocks them back. Visual buff resembles Wind Dancer's Helmet. Snowdrift Tiger Talons:Snowclaw. Inflicts 200000 Frost damage to enemies within X yards and roots them in ice for 10 sec. Visual buff resembles Wrathful Gladiator's Fleshslicer Flameheart Shawl: Flameheart. Charge to a location and deal 25000 Fire damage to enemies within 8 yards. Visual buff resembles Firehawk Mantle Riverspeaker's Trident: Rivercall. Inflicts 200000 Frost damage to enemies in a cone in front of the caster and slows movement speed by 50% for 15 sec. Visual buff resembles Staff of Infinite Mysteries

Pick up Rolo's Riddle from around the Timeless Isle. Rolo's Riddle: Solve the first clue by the stone columns at 49.4, 69.4. Rolo's Riddle: Solve the second clue at Three-Breeze Terrace. Rolo's Riddle: Solve the third clue up by Garnia. This requires you to get picked up by the Highwind Albatross and go for a long ride.

Where There's Pirates, There's Booty

Obtain the Sunken Treasure, Blackguard's Jetsam, and Gleaming Treasure Satchel on the Timeless Isle. Sunken Treasure: Go to the sunken ship by Pi'jiu Village, and kill the Cursed Hozen Swabby until they drop Barnacle Encrusted Key. This opens Sunken Treasure, which contains Cursed Swabby Helmet. Blackguard's Jetsam: Underwater cave--entrance is located between the Alliance and Horde base camps. Gleaming Treasure Satchel: Head to the ship to the south of the Croaking Hollow and climb up onto the deck. Head up to the wheel, walk on the far-right rope, and then precisely jump onto the crossbeam and RP walk to the left edge. These chests can be looted weekly.

Professions

Gathering on the Timeless Isle rewards a small amount of Timeless Coin. In addition, elixirs are drops on the Timeless Isle.

Cooking

• Noodle Carts are added in 5.4. When a cart is crafted, the player becomes a temporary vendor that other players can buy bowls from (stacks up to 5 bowls). The player/vendor also has the following actions/emotes: Cook, Dance, Fireworks, Wave
• Players can learn the noodle bowl recipes from a questline starting on the Timeless Isle. They must also have the initial recipes learnt for the various MoP cooking specializations, which requires 530 cooking.
  Noodle Secrets Long Forgotten: First loot the old sign fragment at 52.5, 46.2. Then search the village, Old Pi'jiu, on the Timeless Isle, for the owner of the old sign fragment--don't look for the owner without the Sign Fragment first. You'll find Lin Chao-Wei at 41.0, 73.8.
• The Lost Secret of the Secret Ingredient: Defeat the Sha of Doubt in Temple of the Jade Serpent. Can be done in Normal mode. Finish the quest by clicking on Lin Family Scroll.
• Bad Feeling, Worse Result: Stay in the instance to defeat Ghost of Lin Da-Gu. Casts Bowls, Noodles, Boiling Broth, and Dash of Spice.
• Secrets Lost, Forever?: Speak with Sungshin Ironpaw at the Halfhill Market in the Valley of the Four Winds.
• Catch and Carry: Use the Grain Catching Sack to catch 20 Sacks of Grain being thrown down by the Granary Vandals at the Imperial Granary. Look for the mini-earthquakes on the ground, you may need your graphics turned up pretty high. When you have 5 grain sacks, you have to get back to the Wagon at 54, 60--you can't mount up, but speed boosts help. At this point, you will learn Noodle Cart Kit, which makes 250 stat food. Requires 5 each of all 250 stat food to make.
• Is That A Real Measurement?: Create a Noodle Cart Kit, head to the Stormstout Brewery, and collect 20 Slosh of Brew from slain alementals in the Stormstout Brewery. You will need to clear the first two bosses on normal or heroic, as the Alemantals are found on the way to the third boss. At this point, you will learn Deluxe Noodle Cart Kit, which makes 275 stat food. Requires 5 each of all 275 stat food to make.
• These Aren't Your Fatty Goatsteaks: Create a deluxe noodle cart kit and collect 50 Fatty Turtle Steak from the western shore of Timeless Isle.
• The Secret Ingredient Is...: Speak to Sungshin Ironpaw and complete the Finding the Secret Ingredient solo scenario. In this scenario, you feed regular, hungry, and impatient Pandaren. Click on the Panadren Waiting in Line to seat them (seat the Impatient ones first), and then toss/feed them the following bowls:
  Scholoars Make Noodle Soup, Merchants Make Dragon's Nest Noodle Soup, Farmers Make Pandaren Treasures Noodle Soup. Hungry Npcs will want an extra bowl Hungry

You will then learn Pandaren Treasure Noodle Cart Kit, which makes 300 stat food! Requires 5 each of all 300 stat food to make. You also unlock a daily quest, Noodle Time, that rewards an Ironpaw Token, as well as a bonus objective, Noodle Time: Bonus.

  Glyph of Regenerative Magic: If Anti-Magic Shell expires after its full duration, the cooldown is reduced by up to 50%, based on the amount of damage absorbtion remaining. Elementals inside Cavern of Lost Spirits, Timeless Isle.
• Charred Glyph: Your Horn of Winter now generates an additional 10 Runic Power, but the cooldown is increased by 100%. Ordon Candlekeeper, Timeless Isle

• Glyph of the Skeleton: Your Raise Dead spell now summons a Skeleton instead of a Ghoul. Rattleskew, Timeless Isle

  Glyph of One with Nature: Grants you the ability to teleport to a random natural location. Ashleaf Sprite, Timeless Isle

• New Major Glyphs
  Glyph of the Lean Pack: Reduces the range of Aspect of the Pack by 33 yards. Tigers (Primal Stalker, Crag Stalker) on Timeless Isle.

  Glyph of Condensation: Increases the size of your Water Elemental by 40%. Zesqua, Timeless Isle.
• Glyph of Evaporation: Reduces the size of your Water Elemental by 40%. Jademist Dancer, Timeless Isle.

  Glyph of Pillar of Light: Critical heals on other players display a small pillar of light at their location briefly. Flame elementals (Foreboding Flame, Spirit of Jadefire) in Cavern of Lost Spirits, Timeless Isle.

  Glyph of Inspired Hymns: While channeling Hymns, a spirit appears above you. Windfeather Nestkeeper, Timeless Isle.
• Charred Glyph: causes you and your target to exchange appearances for several seconds. Whizzig, 0 Timeless Coin.

  Glyph of Headhunting: Your Throw and Deadly Throw abilities will now throw axes regardless of your currently equipped weapon. Burning Berserker, Timeless Isle.

• New Minor Glyphs
  
  Glyph of Lingering Ancestors: Resurrecting someone with Ancestral Spirit causes a ghostly ancestor to follow them around for a short time. Spectral mobs (Spectral Mistweaver, Spectral Windwalker, Spectral Brewmaster), Timeless Isle.
• Glyph of Rain of Frogs: You summon a rain storm of frogs at your targeted location. Frogs (Bufo, Gulp Frog), Timeless Isle.

• New Major Glyphs
  
  Charred Glyph: Heroic Throw now leaves an axe in the target, which can be retrieved by moving within 5 yards of the target to finish the cooldown of Heroic Throw. This effect will only occur when Heroic Throw is cast from more than 10 yards away from the target. Eternal Kilnmaster, Timeless Isle.

• Glyph of the Weaponmaster: Your Shout abilities cause the appearance of the Warrior's weapon to change to that of a random weapon from their primary bag for 10 min. Jakur of Ordon, Timeless Isle.
