oohh. Satchels make me hopeful for the future of our society.
I always wondered why the not-loot bag in lfr was not more like the Call to arms bag that tanks or healers sometimes get for running 5 mans.
After getting geared enough on my main, I was starting to just do Heroics/dailies again to Valor cap instead of LFR, as the 100 some odd gold versa what else can be obtained in the prementioned was making it more of a time sink than anything else. Adding incentive for over geared players to use LFR weekly really helps the fresh 90's guarantee less wipes and the once in a blue moon friendly and chatty player optimize their deeps/etc. Great idea on Blizz's behalf.
GC is my new friend now. Initially worried about Disc and Shadow over-nerfing explicitly for PvP, I am pleased to see both will be viable specs in 5.2 - and in fact, Holy will be more viable in raids now.I am still slightly unnerved by Blizzard's inaction with the Fire Mage spec. It is by far the most fun, enjoyable spec of the 3, and is the most complex to play as well (Arcane and Frost can be played in your sleep), yet it remains the least powerful by far. I can wait though, I have plenty of other toons to level.
I love the new design for trinkets, I think it makes them more fun and interesting!
Darn. Nothing for Hunters.
Damn, Ghostcrawler could write a book with how much text he makes in balance arguments, especially for disc priests here.
Oh goodness- Hyacinth Macaw drop chance.
Why are combats rogues becoming more useless in AOE? fan of knives doesnt make anywhere near the damage of any class aoe lvl 80 druid swipe will beat it anyday, im lvl 90 483 ilvl my fan of knives i havent seen top 35k dps on massive pulls, while druid tank can do 500k dps while tanking in lfr, its energy to damage ratio might has well renamed it to fan of butterknives, and now dropping blade flurry damage by 60% ? yeah it hits 4 instead of 2 but instead of a possibe 160% damage if theres only 2 we do 80% ? so during dailiys and stuff if you have 2 mobs on you, you do less damage trying to kill them both then single targeting them?not too great for my side of things in class balancing, casters are always WAY ahead of anyone in dps especily aoe there might be the odd warrior, geared dk or druid but you rarely see a hunter, mage, warlock not in the top to or under a melee
Whatever, you aren´t doing 20% less because of the spec you play. You are doing 20% less because you aren´t as good at one spec as the other. Nothing is that out of whack.I played since Vanilla, I know how unbalanced things were back then.. in the order of 50% difference between classes and specs. People cry now because Arcane and Affliction are 5-10% above the pack, but i think it is remarkable that there are 15ish specs within 2% of each other. Not to mention that there are 5 tanks that are all perfectly viable for endgame raiding.pfft.. the theorycrafting community is fine with GC. What you and most people don´t realize is theorycrafting and test dummies are meaningless because there are NO FIGHTS like that. No theorycrafters were predicting arcane and aflliction would pull ahead of the pack because there are a crazy amount of moving pieces involved, including boss mechanics and gear thresholds. Yep, GC missed those two specs.. but it isn´t like he was avoiding viable feedback leading up to 5.0.So you tell me, mr theorycrafter.. tell me the 2 specs that will be out in front of the pack in 6 weeks? Most certainly there will be some, but it is impossible to predict, especially by people using test dummies or spreadsheets. Yep, GC will mess up a few specs, but nobody can predict it now. You guys just use 20/20 hindsight when you say the TCs have a better record than GC. Make your prediction!
new patch seems awefull atm my avg dps has dropped stupidly low 15-20k dps for 483ilvl rogue, burst went from around 200k dps to 50k dps, killing spree now says out of ranged on targets even after shadowstep. huge thumbs down for me so far on 5.2
