Mists of Pandaria: Shaman Class Preview

Primal Elementalist: Your Earth and Fire Elemental Totems draw forth powerful primal elementals directly from the elemental planes. These servitors are 50% more powerful than regular elementals, act as pets directly under your control, and gain additional abilities.

Elemental Blast: Harness and direct the raw power of the elements towards an enemy target, dealing 4372 to 5079 (+ 211.2% of SpellPower) Elemental damage and increasing the caster's Critical Strike, Haste, or Mastery by 3500 for 8 sec.

Windwalk Totem, level 30 talent: Summons an Air Totem with 5 health at the feet of the caster for 6 sec, granting raid members within 40 yards immunity to movement-impairing effects.

Lava Surge, Level 50 Elemental ability: Your Flame Shock periodic damage ticks have a chance to reset the cooldown of your Lava Burst spell and cause your next Lava Burst spell to be instant.

Astral Shift, Level 15 talent: Seek haven by shifting partially into the elemental planes, reducing damage taken by 40% for 6 sec.

Ascendance: The Shaman surrenders his physical form to the power of the elements, transforming into a being of raw elemental energy for 15 sec.

Charred Glyph: Your Chain Heal now has a watery appearance.

Glyph of the Spectral Wolf: Alters the appearance of your Ghost Wolf transformation, causing it to resemble a large, spectral wolf.

BinkensteinTotems

Buff totems have been removed: Stoneskin Totem, Strength of Earth Totem, Windfury Totem, and Wrath of Air Totem.

Caster-friendly totems have been removed: Mana Spring Totem, Totem of the Tranquil Mind.

Defensive totems have been removed: Elemental Resistance Totem, Stoneclaw Totem.

Flametongue Totem was removed, but takes its place.

Spells allowing you to drop 4 totems at once are gone: Call of the Elements

Stone Bulwark Totem: Summons an Earth Totem with 5 health at the feet of the caster for 30 sec that grants the caster a shield.

: Summons an Air totem with 5 health at the feet of the caster that gathers electrical energy from the surrounding air and then explodes after 5 sec to stun all enemies within 8 yards for 5 sec.

Earthgrab Totem: Summons an Earth Totem with 100 health at the feet of the caster for 20 sec. The totem pulses every 2 sec, causing roots to ensnare the legs of all enemies within 10 yards for 5 sec, preventing movement. Enemies that have already been rooted once by the totem will instead have their movement speed reduced by 50%.

Windwalk Totem: Summons an Air Totem with 5 health at the feet of the caster for 6 sec, granting raid members within 40 yards immunity to movement-impairing effects.

Healing Tide Totem: Summons a Water Totem with 10% of the caster's health at the feet of the caster for (11 sec) sec. The Healing Tide Totem pulses every 2 sec, healing the 5 most injured party or raid members within 40 yards for 4932 (+ 48.4% of SpellPower).

: Summons an Air Totem with 5 health at the feet of the caster, empowering allies within 30 yards with lightning. While empowered, allies' spells and attacks will trigger bursts of electricity, dealing additional Nature damage to their target. Lasts 10 sec.

Notable Abilities

Level 87 ability, Ascendance: The Shaman surrenders his physical form to the power of the elements, gaining the ability to transform into a being of raw elemental energy for 15 sec.

: Empowering winds swirl around the Shaman, granting all nearby party and raid members 3000 Mastery.

Echo of the Elements: When one of your spells causes direct damage or healing, you have a chance to gain Echo of the Elements, duplicating that spell's effect.

Elemental Changes:
now grants spell haste instead of critical strike.

Master of the Elements is now an optional Tier 4 talent.

Enhancement Changes:

is now a stacking buff on the player instead of a debuff on the boss.

Primal Wisdom (attacks restoring mana) is now part of

Spirit Walk: Removes all movement impairing effects and increases your movement speed by 60% for 15 sec. Now unattached from Feral Spirit.

will never drop, it no longer has charges.

Resto Changes:

Purify Spirit: this is a mix of Cleanse Spirit and Purify Spirit.

Nature's Blessing has been added into Earth Shield.

Cleansing Waters is now a glyph: Charred Glyph

is now an optional Level 60 talent.

Charred Glyph replaces the ability Telluric Currents and is a much weaker form.

Only one thing I'd like to point out, Spirit Walk should be placed in "Enhancement Changes", as it is enhancement only and what changed from Cataclysm is that it was "unattached" from Feral Spirit.
