Preparing for Mage Tower Challenges on Fresh 110 Characters

As of a recent update you can complete the Antorus Epilogue quests that take place in silithus to "Corrupt" your artifact instantly unlocking all of your traits (and more!) make sure you follow the quest chain beginning with Summons to Orgrimmar or Summons to Stormwind depending on your faction! At any point during this process, a Legion Invasion may begin on the Broken Shore. This is the best way to get a handful of Nethershard, required to actually enter the Mage Tower scenarios. I recommend doing these as they pop. Do all 6 World Quests, then the Scenario at the end. This will give you more than enough Nethershard for your attempts. Invasions spawn every 18 hours, and you can check the front page of Wowhead to check out when an invasion comes up! If you happen to run out, you can wait for another Invasion, or pick up chests on the Broken Shore

The key thing to remember is to prioritize things that will expire soon, this usually means Emissaries or Invasion Points.

Try to plan out your weekly resets. On Tuesday you get a fresh batch of weekly quests for Veiled Argunite, a LFR reset and a Mythic+ cache if applicable. Make sure you take advantage of these activities as much as possible before you begin your attempts.

The Mage Tower stays active for 3 days and usually takes about 4 or so days to come back after it ends. If it spawns on a Monday, you may want to wait for Tuesday/Wednesday reset before doing your attempts!

If you are struggling with a particular challenge, feel free to take a break! Some of them can be incredibly difficult and frustrating. You can also give yourself another week to gear up some more before going back in, if you feel it's necessary.

If you are worried about a particular challenge for a particular spec, try to play that spec to familiarize yourself with it, even if it isn't "the best DPS". Being comfortable with the classes rotation will help you out tremendously.

Prioritization is the key! If you only have a short amount of time to play, think about what will help you prepare your character the most and do that activity.

You can look at the guides here on Wowhead (and linked below) to see what the challenge will be like and the recommended talents. Play around with those talents so they aren't foreign to you when you get there.

Blizzard has mentioned that the additional Artifact tints for the Artifact Challenge Appearance will be obtainable after Battle for Azeroth. This means that once you earned the weapon, at any point after you can do the 10 Rated Battlegrounds, Kill heroic Kil'jaeden or do the required dungeons. Source

if I'm not mistaken, During timewalking weeks (specifically Burning Crusade and Wrath), isn't it possible to do one of the timewalking raids as well? And if so, can't you get 900 from Black Temple, and 930 from Ulduar?

Wish they had this when I was getting class mounts of everyone XD

I dunno about "easy", I had a 934 kitty who couldn't drop her challenge if you didn't know kitty (which I and no one I know does). Best anyone could do was 15%...granted, I'm not a hardcore player or anything.

Awesome guide! Should toss in a quick bit about going to Silithus to get your weapon to Artifact Level 130+, that's a crazy boost in power too!
