The God-Queen's Fury
, as an Assassination Rogue. In this guide, we'll go over optimal talents, legendaries, gear, consumables, and spec-specific tips. This guide is written by

For this guide I was item level 910 and using the Assassination Rogue 4pc Tier 19.
Trinkets:
Eye of Guarm
&
Convergence of Fates
Gear
Generally I will recommend to have ~900+ item level before you start it. However at this stage in the expansion it is incredibly easy to get 915+ if you have recommended legendaries you can attempt it at lower item level, furthermore you can do at even ~880 without any of the recommended, but it will take a number of tries and fairly solid execution.
Consumables
Drums of Fury
Flask of Ten Thousand Scars
Koi-Scented Stormray
or
Lavish Suramar Feast
Defiled Augment Rune
Potion of Prolonged Power
Talents:
Below are the Talents/Legendarys I recommend using. Some of the possible swaps are :
Subterfuge
- if you want to multi garrote all 3 targets when you vanish,
Internal Bleeding
- if you are stunning the target, you gain extra damage even if you don't focus it down,
Toxic Blade
- good, for bursting down the shield when you need to. Can also go
Deeper Stratagem
if you are good at keeping up dots + poisons on all targets as you will be fine on energy otherwise.
Legendaries:
Due to nature of this being a solo scenario, some of the legendaries excel far above their usual usefulness.
Zoldyck Family Training Shackles
Very good on this fight due to extended execution phase.
Mantle of the Master Assassin
Still exceptional due to being strong damage legendary, and helping out a lot with surviving if you are running leeching poison.
Will of Valeera
One of the strongest legendaries for this challenge, as it provides incredible healing and not limited by a cooldown.
Most of the other legendaries will still have some value, so don't despair if you don't have any of those 3.
Doing the Scenario
The Scenario consists of 3 NPCS :
Sigryn
(342.56mil HP) with the following abilities :
Throw Spear
- Throws a spear that creates green puddle which does period damage if you stand in it.
Dark Wings
- Summons a wall of val'kyr with a gap in it. You can survive being hit by it if you have feint up and decent health.
Blood of the Father
- Picks one of the council members to empower them and use a new ability (temporarily)
Blood of the Father
-
Sigryn
's Special. After a short cast she will pulse for very high magic damage. Using a
Blind
will prevent the damage. If it is currently on cooldown / DR'd you can survive some amount of extra time by chaining (back to back)
Kidney Shot
,
Cloak of Shadows
, and
Feint
combined with
Crimson Vial
(especially if you have
Dense Concoction
) ; However you most likely won't survive entire duration without hard-cc.
Jarl Velbrand
(256.59mil HP)
Hurl Axe
- summons 3 axes that fly in an arc, they don't move too fast so it's possible to move out of their path.
Bladestorm
- Heavy hitting AoE, that you need to move out. You can also stun it.
Shadowbolt
-
Jarl Velbrand
's Special. You can stun it, run away, or use
Evasion
.
Runeseer Faljar
(293.59mil HP)
Shadowbolt
- Interruptable, does low/moderate damage.
Ancestral Knowledge
-
Runeseer Faljar
's Special. Gets a shield and starts channeling until the shield is broken or time is expired. Based on personal observation, sometimes it might still explode after the cast, if you silence / stun him after he comes out of the shield instead of just interrupting. Generally doable without any cooldowns, but if you are struggling with breaking it, it's best to save some of the dps cooldowns for it. If he is going to get the cast off because you missed a kick or didn't break the shield in time you can use
Cloak of Shadows
to survive it.
Another mechanic that happens more frequently at the start of the fight is :
Runic Detonation
. You will see 3 runes spawn on the ground, and you need to run over them before they explode. Since they spawn in 3 difference sizes (small / medium / large) it's best to clear out small one first. This damage can be negated by
Cloak of Shadows
.
Finally every once in a while you will see golden orbs spawn on the ground. They are
Orb of Valor
and will heal you if you run over them.
Due to
Fel Skein
you are free to multi-dot all of the targets.
Strategy
There are two viable strategys for this encounter, one involves keeping
Sigryn
out and chain
Blind
her, or keeping her in the fight and using her to increase your damage through more cleave/bleed effects.
This late in legion you should have plenty of item level and artifact traits that her passive damage won't kill you especially with leech.
As such i recommend a different approach
, if you keep fighting her and just deal with the fixates/whirlwinds but keep a
very
close eye on her cast bar you can
Blind
AS SHE CASTS
Blood of the Father
meaning the buff she gains is never applied and she won't recast the spell for quite some time. The risk of this however is if you are slow by even a second you can blind her too late and instantly break the CC and not be able to re CC her and die. With an item level of 915+ you should only see this cast one to three times meaning its not too rough to interrupt that cast with a hard CC, making the challenge far quicker and easier overall.
If you choose the option of
Blind
ing
Sigryn
you end up negating a large number of mechanics. However this CC has a DR, meaning it will lose its effectiveness and as such you can't just use it on Cooldown. Eventually it will wear off and you will have to deal with her for an extended period of time where if she casts
Blood of the Father
you may not be able to stop it and end up wiping.
The fight is over once
Sigryn
reaches 20% health, and since they all have shared HP as soon as the other two die the encounter should end soon.
Overall you will want to put most of your damage into
Runeseer Faljar
, so you don't risk losing your cooldown uptime if you need to switch for
Ancestral Knowledge
or to run away due to
Bladestorm
.
