If you want to see what the new birds look like go to battle.net...log in and see your "not collected mounts" there is no picture to start but if you mouse over you can see previews for each one...Springstrider is white, Swift Lovebird is Pink, Shorestrider is Blue, and the Foreststrider is purple...

I've been working on mail transmog sets to match with this mount. As a hunter, I tamed the corresponding Tallstrider (like this one: Fleeting Plainstrider) and went to work. The ivory tallstrider skin is dingy white and grey-green, with pinkish-tan claws and bright orange eyes. I've added more comments on the Knight's Mail transmog set page - it's the best match I've tried.

Just farmed the 500 - Got a Spring Rabbit in the process that I sold for 200g. A good spot is the cart at "Falconwing Square" in Eversong Woods. Just run back and forth from the cart and the inn, carefully checking the trees and under the cart every time. It's much better than running around if the place is crowded ;).

The eggs are relatively fast to farm, 30mins in razor hill, after two other farmers came along i moved to brill and got to farm my eggs all alone. After about an hour with 240 eggs, i got my strider.

No other use for this event for me since having already What a long, strange trip its been.

You can obtain this mount (Swift Springstider) through the Brightly Colored Eggs you loot in the world event Noblegarden.
I was running around farming the title on my level 19 twink, and suddently when checking my bag for tuxedo set, I noticed that I had the mount in my bag. I then thought how on earth could I get that when I haven't bought it?

I just got this mount last night :) Took some time to farm the 500 but it was totally worth it, as an Alliance I farmed in Azurmyst and I gotta tell you it's pretty quick over there :), also you CAN get this from the eggs so if you are lucky enough you'll get one before the 500 chocolates :) Happy farming!

I got my after 490 eggs. So I used the 500 chocolates to buy 5 Spring Rabbit Foots for the AH.
I'm guessing 1 in 2000 drop, if not 1 in 5000.

Just got mine
There are eggs called Brightly colored eggs scattered around various small towns like goldshire. You can buy the mount for 500 chocolates, which are in the eggs. I had expected to have to find all 500 but around 300-320 (i'm not sure), the mount itslef dropped from the egg.

Definitely the easiest one of these striders to acquire. It took me almost exactly 1.5 hours to farm the 500 chocolates.

You'll farm around 525 eggs since you'll get several of the random drops and maybe even the rare pet such as I did.

Eggs dropped at 2am server and I had mount by 3:30am.

p.s. I used Kharanos as my town of choice. It makes for a fast route having groups of eggs sometimes 3 at a time without moving.

This is awful I farmed over 500 eggs because i bought spring flowers, and an egg noticed the strider in my bag dropped from an egg. Now I have 500 eggs, nothing to spend them on because the mount is bop even if you buy it! That sucks!

I also decided to farm eggs for it because the picture here on wowhead shows it as lavender. Mine is ugly white with tinge of pink! So I looked at screenshots here and some are blue and some pink, one or two look lavender, i don't see any as ugly as the one I have!

The mount is NOT boe. Some are assuming it is cause the V day one was.

Farmed up 500 chocolate eggs in about 4 and a half hours to buy the Springstrider. The vendors for the Noblegarden items including the mount are in the starting hubs where you collect the eggs.

The Swift Springstrider drops from the Brightly Coloured eggs as well so if you need to do the achievements then do that first and you might get lucky with a drop!

Some quick notes on how to farm this as quickly as possible (assuming the 500 chocolate side of things.)

First off, go to the town that is least likely to be populated. I went to Azure Watch (near Exodar) as very few people visit this location.

1) Make a macro. This macro should read /use borrowed egg basket /use Brightly Colored Egg (note that if you gave back your borrowed egg basket you'll need to /use egg basket). This eliminates the time required to stand around opening eggs. Put this macro somewhere on your bar that you can mash it easily in between looting eggs.

2) Zoom your camera out. Not necessarily to space-level, but make sure you're out pretty far. You'll want to rotate your camera angle to various degrees so you can see the eggs that are stuck between buildings, hidden in boxes, and behind flight paths.

3) Watch other players. See where they stop to pick up an egg and add it to your "places to check" map in your head.

4) Have a general path. I would usually go around Azure watch counter-clockwise checking for all the usual places. As I'd run through buildings I would use my high-camera angle to check the area in the center where the benches are. (This can be a gold mine!)

5) If someone is running just ahead of you and in the same direction, go check one of the internal areas real quick. There's no point running along the same path as someone else.

6) Just because someone is standing next to an egg doesn't mean they're going to loot it. I've seen many people who are afk or are hearthing and others just run straight past. Get in there and get your chocolate!

7) If you have friends farming in the same area, put a mark on their head. This will help you to avoid their same path or the chocolates they're going for. (You can do this for up to 8 people with the various marks.)

8) Don't waste time talking to people. The chatter boxes are the ones that leave eggs laying about and I really appreciate them doing so.

9) Do a lot of strafing etc. and use your mouse to change your camera angle. This will help you maximize your time between the eggs.

10) Use your mouse to spam areas that are difficult to see (like bushes) and see if your "brightly colored egg" tooltip pops up.

11) If you can, try to do all of this when there are as few people on as possible. (Late at night/early AM.) This increases your chances of getting the gold mines where there are 5-6 all within a couple feet of each other. You can also do this in increments over several days if you can only do 30 min at a time before things get swamped.

Overall it took me about 30 minutes to collect 132 eggs before I got my strider from an egg. Either way, this achieve will take some time.

Just got 2 mounts, 2 pets in 100 eggs... I've just used all my good luck up for the year. There are two eggs that spawn very quickly over by the smith, they are about 5 feet apart and you can snag all you need if you are patient.

Had to pay 500 chocolates, oh well. The eggs spawn really fast in Azuremist, so find a place to camp out there. I did get 6 rabbits feet tho. lol For a macro i just used /use brightly colored egg on a button to open them fast.

So just to motivate people... if you are tired of gettting eggs that despawn right in front of you .. do what I did. Park your toon at a known spawn location, (preferably in one of the low traffic areas like Exodar) and watch TV. The egg respawn rate is ridiculous. Just sit there and click when it spawns. It helps if the egg spawn is one of the out of the way ones that nobody can see, like in Darn's bushes. I did it for 2 hours catching up on Fringe and Game of Thrones. On my 164th egg, I got the mount, so I don't need to do it any more. Yay.

2012 - Patch 4.3.3

While farming my 500 Noblegarden Chocolate, I received the following:
8 White Tuxedo Shirt
6 Black Tuxedo Pants
4 Elegant Dress
4 Blossoming Branch
3 Spring Rabbit's Foot
2 Spring Circlet
2 Spring Flowers
2 Spring Robes

It took me about 5 hours to do this, but I had to take frequent breaks for IRL stuff. Also, this was on the first day of the event, so there was a LOT of competition for the Brightly Colored Egg. Did all my farming in Kharanos and Azure Watch.

After 2 days of off and on farming to get my 500 eggs for the Swift Springstrider, here is what I got:

293x Noblegarden Chocolate
3x Spring Circlet
2x Spring Robes
2x Elegant Dress
2x Spring Flowers
1x Black Tuxedo Pants
1x White Tuxedo Shirt

and on my 304th egg, I got the Springstrider.

...Now what to do with 293 Chocolates + all achievements done? I'm going to hide a ton of eggs in Stormwind :)

For anyone who's curious, I farmed my eggs at the less populated Azure Watch (Draenei starting town) at a spot I found to be productive on the West side of the town; in between a Tent, a Crystal and a Rock. there are 8 spawn points within reach.

Just got my mount from egg number 428 leaving the droprate at approx. 0,002%.

On first character i got two mounts within 3-4 eggs of each other after about a hundred opened.
On current character i have gathered over 2.5k eggs and gotten no mount.
Update. Still no mount drop from eggs. 4k chocs to spend though.
If it comes to that i will buy the mount but right now im in a war against the evil Drop Rate.

My first time with this event. I spent two sleepless nights farming eggs like crazy, working towards the 500 eggs to buy the mount. I swear to gawd! I got the mount as a drop from my 497th egg. 497! In the process, I also got all but two of the all the other drops, and in several instances, I got four or five duplicates. What do you do with the soul bound items? Can't put them on the AH. And there's a glut of the sellable items on AH. I'm a solo, so I have no buddies to pass them along to. Is it bad form to offer to trade with complete strangers?

Just a word of advice to those wanting to get the mount and holiday achieve. While to most this will be common sense, go for the mount AFTER you get the holiday achievement. Reason being that you do have the chance for it to drop in one of the eggs. While it may be a small chance, there is always a chance.

If you look close enough you can see that i am riding the Springstrider, and that i have the pet. I farmed out 500 eggs and got it, then decided to farm out 100 more for my polymorph. As i was unwrapping them I got 4 more rabbits, and TWO more springstriders. FML!

After doing some simple calculations based on the number of eggs farmed till mount drop, using my own characters and people "testimonials" around websites, it resulted that the mount has a chance to drop around the 246th egg. This is based on a group of 67 people. I know is not much,to make a definite result, but it seems that Blizzard designed the mount to drop at half the number of chocolates required to purchase it. Again,this is a median value, and not written in stone. Theoretically the mount will therefore have a chance of aprox. 0.4% to drop from an egg.

Also,for people farming the eggs,and thinking that lesser crowded places are better, I'll have to say that eggs spawn per use. If you are alone in a zone, you'll get 1-4 eggs spawning randomly at one of the locations.Once they are spawned, all the other places won't produce a spawn until the existing are cleared. In crowded places, more people will gather them faster, in different points and such the respawn time decreases.
As a summed thought, don't camp eggs if you're alone or with very few people in a zone.

I can confirm the Swift Springstrider can be looted from the Brightly Coloured eggs, after a long farming session it dropped from the 532 egg I looted unfortunately I had already bought the Swift Springstrider :( anyway this prooves you can obtain it from the eggs although the percentage drop is apparently extremely low and not even recorded on wowhead :P if not buy it with the 500 noble garden chocolates which if farmed continously should only take a couple of hours

For everyone worried about getting this mount, just keep on going. I was lucky twice and got it inside an egg, once after about 110 and once after about 150. All I can say is it can happen, so just keep on opening those eggs. 500 may not seem that far away lol. Another word of advice, music helps a lot with this boring task. Good Luck :)

A good idea would be to save up enough chocolates to buy everything. The mount and other Noblegarden goodies have a chance to drop from Brightly Colored Eggs, so you might obtain this mount in the process.

I first got this on my level 30 hunter after opening about 200 eggs. I then switched to my main who is going for Mountain o' Mounts. I aimed for 500 chocolates since I had everything else already. The mount never dropped, so i turned in my 500 chocolates for the mount. I also got one Spring Rabbit's Foot and a bunch of Blossoming Branch. A tone of clothes dropped as well.

If you are aiming to farm for the mount the I would advise farming in a not so popular town. For my hunter, who is horde, I farmed for them in Bloodhoof Village in Mulgore. There were a few other people there at times but over all a less populated city. Another horde place would be in Ruins of Silvermoon the blood elf zone. I never went there myself so it could differ from realm to realm on whether or not its populated.

For my alliance main I went to Azure Watch but it started to get populated and I could not fly so I left and went to Dolanaar. I didn't try any of the other towns but Goldshire is always populated along with Kharanos even if its not Easter.

I made a ticket about getting a Springstrider back that I deleted by mistake. After restoring it the GM told me the following for no particular reason:

says: I restored your mount but make sure you don't do this for the future strider mounts.

What does that mean? Are there going to be more holiday striders added? What do you guys think will be added? An Emberstrider for the fire festival? An Ebonstrider for Hallows end? Oh god I hope they don't replace the good holiday even mounts already in the game. I would hate to loose my Brewfest Kodo and Horseman's Steed.

I randomly decided I wanted to get the Swift Springstrider last night and got it in 2.5 hours.
I went to Goldshire at 3:00 a.m (Darkspear), when it was still super busy, picked a spot and farmed a spawn of about 7 eggs. I occasionally got interrupted by other players wanting to camp the same spot, but by 5:00 am there was maybe 2 other people running around. I got my last 150 eggs in the last half hour. So easy!

I also got 4 companions in the process, and bags full of all that other junk :P

When farming for the Swift Springstrider, I had it drop from an egg after I had about 200 Noblegarden Chocolates. I didn't have any further use for the chocolates so I thought I might use Noblegarden Eggs to transfer at least some of them to an alt. Sadly, the 1 hour cool down on the eggs makes that unrealistic.

So with 200 chocolates I could have bought 40 eggs, and set them down in a secluded location for an alt to gather ~38 chocolates. This would require 40 hours thanks to the cool down. It was worth a shot, but just not worth it.

Something to note - The chocolate isn't a guaranteed drop from the eggs. I had about a .8% chance to not get the chocolate. However, there was never an egg that didn't have anything in it. The advice about farming Azure Watch was great. The spawn rate was high, and I usually had it to myself even in peak times. Unfortunately, out of 500 eggs I didn't get the mount.

I've farmed eggs in Kharanos and Azuremyst for a few years now. For those non-campers (/shoo) like myself - you may well be missing a lot of spawns. Each year I see the majority of people making "circuits" to collect eggs - but in many cases, running right past eggs that are slightly obscured by an environmental object such as a box, barrel, fence or foliage.

A couple of quick changes to your in-games graphics settings might help, results may vary depending on your own graphics hardware.

Options > Graphics >
Environmental Detail (Low)
Ground Clutter (Low)

If you then zoom all the way back to maximum distance, as you run... you'll see the egg spawns... before you see whatever's obscuring it.

Personally I point the camera almost directly downward too... run around to the obscured spawns and click the eggs. I can't even see what's obscuring the egg... but the eggs are always clickable. :)

Strangely enough, I decided to get this on a 20 alt, and even at 60% speed, it still says *Swift* Springstrider.

Swift Springstrider will cost 500x chocolates, which you can find inside Brightly Colored Eggs scattered across all races starting area during the Noblegarden world event.

It can also be obtained directly from the Brightly Colored Eggs, as a rare drop.

Got one from an egg after 1350 eggs across multiple characters

As a sidenote, since the lovebird is BoE I assumed this was as well, and was disappointed to go to sell it and realize that it was soulbound. Now I've wasted a few hours getting the ugliest mount in the game.

Now that Noblegarden has ended I can share my sad statistics with this drop. I farmed 500 chocolates on two of my characers, 100 on my mage for the polymorph, 450 on one that didn't do 500 in time which makes the total(when you include all the other stuff I got) 1600+eggs. No mount ever dropped(I got 20 or so bunnies). So I'm not going to expect randomly getting something like that in the future. Maybe I'm extremely unlucky, or the ones yelling they got it after a few amount of eggs are just the vocal minority and no good indication of the probability whatsoever.

I am though, looking forward to have a panda riding this when i race change my shaman.

MoP is coming, and mounts are going Account Wide. I made a little list of mounts, so you can show off how epic you are, starting at levels as low as 20. This list is meant for mounts you can achieve in-game without buying them from the Blizzard Store, as all of those can be used at 20. I have not included the TCG mounts, as those don't really show, "Feats of Strength" either.

At this time the counter is at 986876 eggs opened, with a total of 32 mounts found. That's a 0.000032% chance of finding a mount from an egg.

You can sell this in the auction house.

I found one in an egg and because I already had it from the previous year I went to the auction house to check if it can be sold there. It can be sold. Yay.

These mounts are BoE now as of patch 5.2, and can be traded to other players and sold on the Auction House.

Note that the mount is Unique, so that you can not get another one while you have one in your inventory.

Is it possible for a level 1 toon to farm the chocolate on a low pop realm, buy the mount and learn it (for the other toons on the account)? Or would I have to level him up to 20? How does it work these days?

Update: Farmed 500 chocolate. Tried to buy the mount. "You must reach level 20 to purchase that item."

After farming at Bloodhoof for about two hours (on my server which is pretty much dead even with CRZ), the mount dropped at 176 eggs.

As a wild and presumptuous guess, I assume the odds are fairly high that you'll find the mount before getting the 500 chocolate pieces to pay for it. However, you can sell it at the AH so keep one for yourself and sell the other for a nice bundle.

As for the bird itself, it's basically a hawkstrider reskin (sound and all) but it's just so damn goofy look at it why wouldn't you want ten of them?

I would have loved this mount to be a pastel blue or green to match the colorful eggs. However, it has the color of slightly chewed gum. :(

I have yet to obtain 500 eggs in order to buy my Swift Springstrider, but out of all my 420 eggs none of them have contained the mount :( I guess I'm just one of the unlucky ones! Tbh, I wouldn't be surprised if it finally dropped on the 499th egg ~~el oh el~~.

However, a veryyy good place to farm is on top of the purple crystal in Azure Watch. There are 8 spawn points near the crystal. Eggs spawn in corners and behind the benches.
~ Fastest and best spawn point imo.

The mount is this color because it uses a preexisting Tallstrider model, which is the closest color to white that they come in. The mount would be white because geese, which are white, are typically associated with Easter, effectively making this a goose mount.

I will say that while this isn't a particularly interesting mount to most, it happened to be the exact same color as my death knight's skin, so if you wanna pretend the goose is undead, you have that option.

Costs 500 Noblegarden Chocolate or you can loot it from Brightly Colored Egg, which i did. Twice. Maby they haven't updated the droprate on wowhead, cause it says nearly 0%, or perhaps i'm just extremely lucky.. Either way i'm off to sell them on AH :-)

This mount truly IS account wide.
It's available to both my Horde and Alliance characters on the same realm.
It's also available to my Horde character on another realm (along with the other Horde mounts).

Does anyone know the drop percentage for this mount? I don't believe "0%" is very accurate.

My luck must be bloody horrible; I collected 1200 eggs the last two days and never received the bird. I ended up buying two mounts from the vendor, along with two colored bunny bun ears that didn't pop from the eggs (to complete my event collection). In other news, my guildie got the mount from his 50th-ish egg, and other players in the town were exclaiming about their drops between 1-100 eggs.

Since theres not alot of info on how BEST/FASTEST to obtain the mount, adding to the post below, its true the eggs will spawn MUCH more frequently based on the total number of eggs being looted by others in the same zone. Doing it in the middle of the night can be worse than during busy times.
That being said, the best place I've found by far (Alliance only, sorry) is Azure Watch by Exodar. Specifically, climb the bench surrounding the fountain in the middle, the hop onto the middle of the fountain (it can take a few tries). From here, you can instant-loot about 12 different egg spawns without ever moving. In addition, once you've memorized where the eggs will appear, people frequently give up on trying to loot those eggs since you're getting them before they can even see them, and they'll go farm other spots, making your eggs appear even faster!
Took about an hour for 500 based on about 10 others in the zone looting distant eggs. Good luck!

After getting all 500 eggs, I had yet to find the mount in one of them. I did however find every other item at least 5 times over (same with the pet). It took around 1 hour and a 1/2 to get the 500 eggs for if anyone is curious.

Not sure how many you can hold in your bag, but it's a good way to farm money if you're low, on my server at least where they go anywhere from 5k-10k gold. I am sure that price will raise in a few months, since they won't be obtainable any longer (until next year)..

Make sure you gather the chocolates on a character that's level 20+!
I made the mistake of gathering 500 chocolates on my level 2 bank alt while I was gathering cosmetic items for it, and was unable to purchase the mount. Even after I ticketed a GM about it they refused to make an exception and exchange it for me.

I gathered the 500 chocolates on another character, and ended up with:

11 Blossoming Branches
6 Black Tuxedo Pants
4 Elegant Dresses
4 Spring Robes
4 Spring Flowers
3 Spring Rabbit's Foot
2 White Tuxedo Shirts

i just dropped 3 of these in about 50 eggs, not sure if i could consider myself lucky or not, since i am just hoping to finally get an elegant dress to drop for the damn achievement. but yeah, if you are after this mount for whatever reason, the rng god may be on your side and give it to you without you having to open 500 eggs.

Make sure you don't make the same mistake I did this year...

I farmed out all 500 Chocolates on a Lvl 7 alt, the last day of Noblegarden, then when I went to go buy the mount I realized you have to be Lvl 20 to purhase it. Hahah.

I got this on my 5th egg. I went to check the drop rate and saw that people got this around triple digits. Feels good mengh. Same thing happened to me, but sadly, the character was 7 so I had to level to 20 to use it :P

Found a great spot in Elwynn on the left side of the inn just past the chimney where you can sit and get 2. one on the ground an one above the window. Was getting 7 a minute until another came along but than we just split them between each other.

Over the last two days I spent a few hours and gathered a total of 1600 eggs, during that time I got this mount drop for me five times. I'm thinking maybe the drop chance has been increased since last year?

Over the last 2 days ive been farming these and have only seen it drop once from the eggs themselves when i came to wowhead to see the drop rate i was more than shocked to see how low the drop chance was.

Farmed eggs at Falconwing Square late at night when nobody was around. With undisturbed farming, it shouldn't take more than 70 minutes until you get 500 eggs. Odds are it may take even less if your mount is looted from an egg.

I got one from an egg after 3521 eggs across 2 different characters. I was farming eggs so I could sell the mounts (BoU since patch 5.2). Farming on off-hours it takes about 45 minutes in Dolanaar to get the 500 eggs to buy one.

I got my mount with 47 eggs left to open before I could buy it.
So I ate 100 of my eggs for the achieve and meta achieve, collected another 100 eggs and bought another.
Now the bf and I can be bird mount besties!
