These fishes aren't needed for anything. They are just rare (and big!) fishes which can be held in off-hand.

Got one out of the Cliffspring River in Darkshore. Equipped it just to see what it looked like since it didn't say that it was BoE. Tried to sell on AH and couldn't. It said it had "used charges." :( I don't seem to be able to sell it to a vendor either.

why all the down votes for the stories of where, and at what level and when someone got one. first it can be useful info, like the no level requirement and secondly. places, and stories... thats part of fishing the fish tales, the stories....

For all of your roleplay needs, I compiled a list of occupational tools for civilian, everyday hero Transmogs. Look at a weapon's "Item Versions" or "Same model as" tab for ones easier to obtain or a different color or weapon type. Higher levels can obtain Appearances for lower-level alts. If you want a quest Appearance from the opposite faction but do not have a character, use a Class Trial. Let me know if I missed a weapon! Good for bartenders, cooks, fishermen, farmers, lumberjacks, miners, blacksmiths, engineers, alchemists, and angry protesters.
