One of the old Justice Point heirlooms, which are being reintroduced with 6.1. It is currently sold by Estelle Gendry (H) and Krom Stoutarm (A) for 650g.

Both vendors sell all of the old Justice Point and heirlooms, including the new necklaces and upgrading tokens:
- Chests: 500g
- Shoulders: 500g
- Necklaces: 700g
- Trinkets: 700g
- One-Handed weapons: 650g
- Ranged & Two-Handed weapons: 750g
- Shields & Off-Hands: 500g
- Ancient Heirloom Armor Casing: 1,000g
- Ancient Heirloom Scabbard: 1,200g
- Timeworn Heirloom Armor Casing: 2,000g
- Timeworn Heirloom Scabbard: 5,000g

Edit: The heirloom prices are no longer affected by faction reputation!
Edit 2: Added the 2 additional upgrading tokens to the vendor list.

The coloration of this item implies that it is BtA (Bind to Account). Currently, the only BtA items in existence are "Heirloom" items, but a few of the special non-combat pets might be changed to BtA if everything pans out during the beta.

BtA items scale with your level, and as the name suggests, can be traded freely between characters on the same account.

Actually the color implies that its an Heirloom item. Only Heirloom items will scale with your level.

People have told me if you're a lvl 19 twink you cant get lvl 35+ enchants on this weapon. But what happens if u enchant it on your lvl 80 (while it's a lvl 80 weapon) and then send it to your lvl 19?

Please give me an answer as soon as possible if you know what will happen.

Just thought I'd say something about this because I can't seem to find any information about it here. These BoA items can NOT have BC or WOTLK enchants on them, no matter the level of the user. Just tried to put mongoose on it for a rogue I'm leveling, says the target item is to low.

I bought this sword for my Death Knight (didin't needed emblems for anything and my DK have greens so why not?) and here's my 2 cents:

you cannot forge any rune on it (item to low lvl, expected this - would be funny if ill send runeforged with crusader weapon on lets say 19lvl rogue or warrior, so not possible)

i casted on it fiery weapon - no big deal but still better enchant than no enchant at all ;) fiery don't have level requirements so can be casted on such items.

sword is very nice MH for my 71lvl DK, have 97dps and my greenies had 84, i recommend it for any starting DK who gonna be dual wield.

I have a question about enchants.. If i give this weapon to my main and then enchants Mongoose on it (since the weapon will become the same level as the wielder it should be possible, right? Then send it back to the alt and he will be able to benefit from mongoose from level 1?

This can replace The Zealot Blade as a good 29 twink weapon.
To quote Natron from Twinkinfo;
"Zealot Blade has an average damage of 62, and Dal'Rend's has 61. The extra 1 average damage does not seem to me to be worth the AP, stam and crit.
Also, the 4 AP converts to 0.8 average damage.

Assuming my math is correct, Dal'Rend's is far superior to Zealot Blade. "

This sword is an heirloom version of a sword dropped by Warchief Rend Blackhand, a boss UBRS. it was a part of a set called Dal'Rends Arms, the other sword being Dal'Rends Tribal Guardian. Just a little tidbit of info :P

I have a question that might seem nooby. The AP increase and Crit Rate on this weapon and the daggers, do they apply to Ranged AP too? Like, if my RAP is 100 and I put this at level 80, will it be 128 or my melee AP + 28? Just wondering...

I tried using this with a DW frost DK. The weapons had crusader on them from a previous character as well.When I went to rune the weapon, I got an error stating that the target is too low. Can anyone else confirm/deny?

Anyone else noticed the stats on this seem extremely poor compared to other heirlooms?

Compared to Venerable Mass of McGowan, you would gain 18 crit rating, but lose 11 AP, 29 Agility (Which would probably make up for the loss of crit without even considering the AP gain) and 16 Stamina. Thats a pretty big difference if you ask me.

Hopefully this will get fixed at some point, although considering the sword has had poor stats for some time I doubt it.

Any ideas on how good this would be for leveling a tank? I'm currently leveling a 40-ish pala with tank dualspecc. Prot palas are not that dependent on fast tanking weapons anymore according to this page. So I'm thinking of using this as I already have all other heirloom gear :)

EDIT: I will answer my own question. It worked great for tanking. I actually used it from lvl 40 up to lvl 77 when I replaced it with this.

WoWHead seems to have gotten the stats on this weapon wrong.

Its actual stats are this at level 80:

+44 Stamina
+58 Attack Power
+29 Critical Strike Rating

as opposed to

+28 Stamina
+37 Critical Strike Rating
+28 Attack Power

like WoWHead is showing. Were the stats changed recently?

great blade, of course, for tanking. But the AP and quite good dps gives it the flexibility to also be used for leveling. Not only are you able to put great enchantments from level one on it, but the speed is quite good too. It would be a great addition if blizz created an heirloom shield to go along with this fine pice of merchandise (hint, hint)!

Does anyone know if this is better than the Venerable Mass of McGowan as of 4.0 for leveling a Protection Paladin? They both have the same stats, the only difference is the Venerable Dal'Rend's Sacred Charge has a little bit more critical strike rating instead of haste rating.

All but obsolete now that DKs are able to use maces. It's a little bit cheaper, but really only worth getting if you never intend to level a shaman.

Why on earth has the cost of heirlooms skyrocketed in patch 4.0.1? They used to cost a large number of Emblems of Heroism which took a while to amass any excess of other badges to convert. Now with only a month or so to go before Cata release when people have little to do other than level alts, they suddenly cost at least 4x more than before!

The justification given is that at 85 we will miraculously be earning so many points that level 80 items become supercheap. Except I fail to see what possible justification or relevance this has to a level 80 trying to purchase level 80 items who does not own the Cataclysm expansion and furthermore Cataclysm is still many weeks away from release!

Its even more unfair to those who had been stockpiling badges to use for heirlooms and were just short of them before purchase.

Two heirloom weapons which can only benefit those at or below level 80 basically cost the same as THREE level 80 T10+ raid pieces now!

Does this sword serve any purpose at all now? The stats are inferior to that of the mace, which has the same weapon DPS, speed, agility, stamina, and a higher combined green stat total of the haste and crit than this has of just crit. All classes that can use swords can also use maces, bar hunters, who gain more stats from dual wielding the daggers. The only race with expertise from swords (humans) also get it from maces.

So, I guess, the only situation now in which buying this sword would be remotely useful is if you were levelling a both rogue and a hunter since you could use it as an MH for both thus saving you some JP (though it still wouldn't be the best weapon choice for the hunter).

This is the only BoA weapon I haven't purchased. As Zeroshens said, it's basically worthless now. The daggers and maces are better for anyone who can use them, and we have an official tanking sword now.

Compared to Shadowfang, this has +4 stamina and +3 crit rating, while Shadowfang has +2 top end damage, .10 faster attack speed, +3 agility, and the proc.

I'd say that as an all-purpose twink weapon, Shadowfang is better, but if you're really hurting for the extra 40 HP or can't afford the hundreds of thousands of gold that it would cost to get one this is an excellent replacement.

I think someone was having fun putting up that this weapon has 34 dps at 29. That's just beyond ridiculous.

As of 5.2, the Level 80 Heirloom weapons and armor can be upgraded to scale up to level 85

Cost is the original item and either Darkmoon Faire Prize Tickets, JP (for heirlooms purchasable with JP) or Honor (for PvP itemized heirlooms purchased with honor)

1-H Weapons: 2175 Honor/JP or 110 Darkmoon Faire Tickets
2-H Weapons: 3500 Honor/JP or 130 Darkmoon Faire tickets

As of 5.4 you can now use all weapon enchants. At lower levels enchants scale down for the content a player will be going through so high level enchants will not be broken for pve and pvp content alike. The new Bind to Account sword, the Noble Dal'Rend's Sacred Charge, replaces the previous Venerable Dal'Rend's Sacred Charge. You will need 2175 Justice Points and the Venerable Dal'Rend's Sacred Charge in your bags. Please note, however, that the updated version does not increase any stats for the levels of 1-80, but instead the new mace continues scaling past level 80 to level 85.

You will, of course, need to enchant the new sword since the previous sword has been destroyed in the purchasing process.

I know some people feel that Bind to Account weapons are unnecessary in the leveling grind, since they do not offer an experience bonus; but you have to remember that, when you are able to kill the creatures swiftly, you will go through the majority of quests and dungeons at an increased rate, which directly transfers to a quicker leveling process! The fact that this particular weapon scales through 80-85 will allow you to get through the Cataclysm zones without much hassle or need to search for a new weapon until level 86!

As I see it these will be pretty much pointless to get, not only the weapons but all the items. They'll be useful at 81 just like the other level 85 capped heirlooms, then you can just buy the 82-83 mop greens that are vastly superior and will have you tearing through quests like mad to 85. I'd say just take the time you'd take on farming the JP and/or Honor for the desired looms and use that to farm on a main for more than enough money to buy the mop greens and you'll be much better set and get much faster experience gain through brute force of overwhelming next-expansion stats.

This item is not worth buying (unless you want it for the looks). You should buy Crushing Mass of McGowan or Brawler's Bladed Claws (from Brawler's Guild) instead since the mace/fist weapon can replace the sword for combat rogues and windwalk monks but for enhancement shamans the sword is not an option.

For those dual wielding these and thinking its going to cost you 1300k for 2 (currently 650 in Iron Forge), you only need to purchase one. You can then log on to your alt and create 2 by using the heirlooms tab.
