Conch of Dark Whispers - Critical Strike procs are valuable when Shattering abilities early on in an expansion while Critical Strike levels are low. If this lines up with a Comet Storm + Freeze / Glacial Spike + Flurry combo it can be very powerful.

Vigilant's Bloodshaper / Vessel of Skittering Shadows / Lady Waycrest's Music Box - All of these trinkets have base Intellect and random damage procs that are powerful on single target. All will perform good overall due to having base Intellect and doing decent boss damage.

Incandescent Sliver - This is the best possible trinket to get for many scenarios. It is basically an over budgeted stat stick trinket if you can cooperate with its requirement of staying away from other players without the trinket. This is usually very doable in Mythic+ since there aren't too many mechanics in dungeons that require stacking.

Crest of Pa'ku - This is a simple haste + speed proc trinket that has base intellect. This trinket is easy to get because it comes from the Battle of Dazar'alor raid.

Balefire Branch - Great on use effect that you can use twice while having it line up with the cooldown on Icy Veins.

Dread Gladiator's Badge - Very strong effect because the effect doesn't decrease over its duration.

Ignition Mage's Fuse - Base Intellect on top of being an on use trinket is already strong. The effect is also very strong, especially with Icy Veins as they have the same duration.

Tidestorm Codex - Base intellect with a rather underwhelming on use effect. Does some burst damage that scales with how many targets it hits. Keep in mind that you can continue casting while channeling this trinket and still get its full value.

Ancient Knot of Wisdom - Similar to Balefire Branch, but on a 1 minute cooldown. On single target, it will line up with every Frozen Orb, making it a very consistent on use trinket.

Flash Freeze - Currently Frost's best single target trait in dungeons by far. Very powerful for Tyrannical weeks and Dungeons with a lot of priority mobs. If you are using Splitting Ice, this trait is almost required.

Treacherous Covenant - Passive intellect as long as you stay above 50% health. This trait is the best choice in high target packs as long as you can maintain the buff. Has the obvious downside of taking increased damage when below 20% health which can be a big deal in many scenarios.

Whiteout - Helpful for getting Frozen Orb get back off cooldown. Loses a lot of value if you ever are holding Frozen Orb for the next pull.

Swirling Sands / Blightborne Infusion - These crit procs are extremely strong for Frost in all scenarios if they proc. These traits are only available at a high item level through receiving them through Thaumaturge Vashreen.

Tunnel of Ice - Very strong when paired with Flash Freeze for single target damage. Falls behind on multiple targets.

Packed Ice - Can be useful to do a lot of priority damage during big pulls. If you plan on pulling a lot of trash on to bosses, this trait will be very strong.

Frigid Grasp - Only strong if your group is playing around your Icy Veins cooldown (only doing big pulls every 3 minutes). This trait falls behind quickly outside of cooldowns, making it a risky choice.

Ring 2

Heed My Call - Great AoE and single target damage. One of the highest simming Ring 2 traits that is great in any situation.

Overwhelming Power - Similar to Balefire Branch, but for haste. Much stronger than all other secondary stat procs on Ring 2.

Gutripper - Won't do much overall damage, but will shine if a single mob is below 30% health for a long time.

Azerite Globules - Sims well for several targets, but won't actually get much use since targets will die before they reach 3 stacks.

Earthlink - Basically a worse Incanter's Flow. Always increases your damage, so it is RNG free.

Ring 3

Cauterizing Blink - Will provide the highest healing throughput for all traits in Ring 3 if managed optimally. Also helps with Mage's lack of consistent survivability.

Eldritch Warding - Makes your personal absorb stronger and will make dangerous boss mechanics less threatening.

Resounding Protection - Provides good overall healing, but you can't control what it gets used on.

Vampiric Speed - Synergizes well with a lot of trash packs and affixes such as Bursting.

Lightfoot Potion or Skystep Potion - A 150% movement increase can be useful in a lot of situation to handle mechanics or to just be super speedy.

Coastal Healing Potion and Healthstone - These share separate cooldowns and are great survivability options. You can get free Healthstones from the Proving Grounds.

Discreet Spellthread - This is an enchant for your cloak that will make you generate less threat, which will help your tank especially on Skittish weeks!

Belt Enchant: Miniaturized Plasma Shield - This is an enchant for your belt that scales with your gear. This is basically a free absorb on a 10 minute cooldown. In a scary situation, having this enchant could be the difference in saving your life.

Strengths and Weaknesses

One of the biggest strengths Frost has in Mythic+ is its access to an abundancy of AoE slows through Blizzard, Frozen Orb, and Cone of Cold. With careful positioning you are able to maintain a 100% up-time of your slows.

Frost has access to both burst and consistent AoE. If using Comet Storm, you have a very hard hitting AoE ability every 30 seconds. You also have consistent AoE for every pack thanks to Frozen Orb.

Exponentially scales with more enemies. Frost already will do consistently high AoE, but when you add enough mobs you will be able to spam Frozen Orb and Blizzard to do a ridiculous amount of damage.

You provide Time Warp and Arcane Intellect, which are just better versions of Drums of Fury and War-Scroll of Intellect.

Remove Curse and Spellsteal which are dispels only available to a handful of classes.

One of the most exceptional movement abilities Shimmer. Also almost 100% mobile during AoE especially when using Freezing Rain.

Great survivability. The usage of 2 Ice Blocks within 30 seconds of each other allows you to trivialize many mechanics. In previous expansions, consistent damage used to be a big problem for Frost. Thanks to Tier 3 Azerite traits, frost is able to help your healer more with consistent damage.

Unique AoE crowd control through Frost Nova, Freeze, and Ring of Frost (if talented)

Icy Veins is relatively weak compared to other cooldowns such as Combustion or Incarnation: Chosen of Elune.

Icy Veins has a long 3 minute CD which makes it difficult to play around.

There isn't a combination of Azerite Traits that is best for Single Target and AoE so you have to choose which one you want to prioritize.

The ability to do strong single target damage is heavily reliant on having 3 Flash Freeze traits.

Single target is heavily reliant on Brain Freeze and Fingers of Frost procs.

No access to a long hard CC such as Leg Sweep or Force of Nature which can be extremely helpful on some packs.

Counterspell has a 24 second cooldown, making it less consistent than other interrupts such as Wind Shear or Disrupt.

Stoneform from Dwarf - This ability not only provides an additional defensive, but also allows for you to dispel several different debuffs including Grievous and Reap Soul.

Shadowmeld from Night Elf - In my opinion, this is the ability that makes Night Elf the most overpowered race in the game as far as Mythic+ is concerned. If your entire group is a Night Elf, it allows for you to do unique skips that no other group composition can do. Not only that, but it allows for you to completely trivialize some boss mechanics such as Drain Fluids on Mchimba the Embalmer in King's Rest.

Arcane Torrent from Blood Elf - From what used to be an overpowered AoE silence is now an AoE magic dispell.

Rocket Jump from Goblin - This is essentially a short jump, similar to Gust of Wind.

Spellsteal - Arguably the best utility Mage brings as it doubles down as a magic dispel and buffing yourself. In a lot of dungeons there are buffs you can Spellsteal to provide a significant damage increase.

Time Warp - This is strictly better than effects such as Drums of Fury and is only shared with Shamans and Hunters.

Arcane Intellect - This is strictly better than War-Scroll of Intellect and will be at least a 3% increase in damage for most casters in your group.

Remove Curse - This is helpful in some dungeons and is only shared by Druids and Shamans.

Shimmer - This spell is not only a very powerful mobility option, but also allows for you to dodge some mechanics that fixate on your position.

Ice Block - This ability is a great survival tool, but also is an option for your healer to catch up on another member in your party if needed.

Polymorph - One of the only spammable hard crowd controls in the game. Very helpful for Infested.

Frost Nova - An AoE root that can prevent certain mobs from moving towards other mobs or even from fleeing when low!

Ring of Frost - When talented into this ability, you can pre-place it to act as an AoE incapacitate. You can also use it to group mobs kited through it or even prevent damage from mobs that leap to a ranged target.

Slows - Unique to Frost Mages, you are able to maintain 100% up-time on slows if managed optimally.

Mastering Frost Mage in Mythic+

Making a Route - The very first thing you should do with your group before you enter a dungeon. If your group is winging it, no one in your group will be able to fully optimize their cooldowns and the run will be much slower than it could be. A great addon that I recommend using for this is Method Dungeon Tools written by Nnogga.

Slows - The main priority you have in any pack that might need to be kited is that the mobs retain slows 100% of the time. This got more tricky since 8.1 when the slow duration of Blizzard and Frozen Orb got reduced. Because of that, it actually is impossible to have slows on everything if they are spread. If they are spread you should focus on keeping the mobs closest to the tank slowed so that the ones behind may funnel in. There are some tricks to make sure that you maintain slows on the important mobs being kited. You should Frozen Orb and Blizzard at the front of a pack in the direction your tank is kiting. This will keep the mobs be in your abilities for the longest time possible. If your abilities are on cooldown and the slows are about to drop, use Frost Nova and Cone of Cold to slow them down.

Pulling - Pulling mobs isn't restricted to the tank! If there are multiple packs you want to pull together, but your tank doesn't quite have the tools to do so, maybe you can. Frost Mages have tools such as Shimmer, Frost Nova, and Ice Block to control enemies. If you are able to pull mobs without getting hit and then sit in Ice Block they will all funnel to you making it very easy for your tank to pick up.

Managing Cooldowns - To do optimal damage throughout a dungeon, you may need to hold certain abilities/items for the future. This means holding Comet Storm and Frozen Orb at the end of a pack so that it is up for the next. This also means that using Blizzard on a single enemy might be worth it so that Frozen Orb is back up for the next pull you do. You should get used to managing your cooldowns and even crafting pulls around your cooldowns and Time Warp times.

Interrupts - you should NOT Counterspell on cooldown. Since you are a mage, you have a 24 second cooldown on your interrupt while other classes have interrupts with as low as 15 second cooldowns. Classes with the shortest cooldown on their interrupt should have priority so that your group can get as many interrupts as possible. Instead of randomly interrupting, someone in your group should be calling who is interrupting what mob so that overlaps don’t happen.

Be a Team Player - This is often the hardest concept for most players to work on. You need to realize that Mythic+ is a team effort and your actions may affect others in your group. What is better for you, may not be better for someone else in your group. You should be constantly thinking about how you can makes your teammate's lives easier. For example, a common strategy in Mythic+ is to pull around a Subtlety rogue meaning you bring a bunch of small mobs onto a bigger one, allowing them to funnel damage into it. If you go nuts on AoE in this situation with Comet Storm and Frozen Orb, it will make the speed of the key slower. Sometimes holding your buttons will benefit other players in your group more than if you had used them.

Party Cooldowns on Party Frame - This weakaura shows many of your party's important cooldowns on your party frames.

Interrupt Tracker - This shows the cooldown of all party member's interrupt cooldown. Required for the person "shot calling" interrupts.

M+ !keys - Whenever someone types !keys in party chat, this will link your key in party chat as long as you have this weakaura. Very easy way to see what keys your group currently has available.

Addons

OPie - Lets you bind multiple things to a single button. Especially useful for world and target markers.

Method Dungeon Tools - Lets you visually map out your dungeon beforehand. Very helpful to get your group on the same page of what you are doing.

Littlewigs/DeadlyBossMods - Lets you see timers of many trash and boss abilities. Required for the highest level of M+ pushing.

Weakauras 2 - Allows for you to track almost anything in the game from buff times to if an ability will kill you or not. Absolutely necessary for playing optimally in M+ dungeons.

Details! Damage Meter - Tracks several things for your party such as damage, healing, deaths, etc. Very useful for finding out information about encounters throught a dungeon.

RangeDisplay - Lets you see your current distance away from a mob. Important for keys when outranging certain abilities.

Affix TipsSeasonal Affix Tips and TricksInfested

Polymorph is a great way to deal with taking an Infested mob out of the equation.

If an Infested mob unintentionally breaks free from a crowd control, you can use Frost Nova to delay it from getting back to the group.

If talented into Comet Storm, you might want to save it for the Infested to die so that you can quickly burst down Spawns of G'huuns before they Infest other enemies.

ReapingReaping

You can pre-place Blizzard on ghosts that are about to spawn when you reach a Reaping threshold.

Focus Lost Soul over any other mobs, these generally have the most health and will take the longest to die.

Try to have a Frozen Orb ready for each wave of Reaping, it is also a good idea to save a Frozen Orb for what you are pulling after the Reaping wave.

Using Icy Veins for Reaping is generally the wrong play. It may do a lot of damage, but is best used with more dangerous and important enemies.

It can be difficult for tanks to get instant aggro on Reaping mobs that come in staggered. You should keep as many enemies as you can slowed and be ready to kite or use Invisibility.

You can use Ice Block to get rid of or prevent the application of Expel Soul, Reap Soul and Shadow Smash.

Regular Affix Tips and Tricks

Focus higher health mobs to avoid making mobs unable to be dealt with.

If you aoe, make sure that you are hitting all enemies in a group.

Talenting into Frigid Winds is required with this affix.

Make sure you maintain your slows on all enemies in a pack, so that when your tank kites they are already slow.

You can use Frost Nova to prevent mobs from reaching your tank if they get close to reaching them before they reset Necrotic.

It may be worth saving Icicless for a large Glacial Spike when a mob is about to gain Raging so that they are dealt with quickly.

Make sure you maintain your slows on all enemies in a pack when they are about to gain Raging incase your tank needs to kite.

If mobs are together treat killing them the same way you would with Bolstering, focusing the higher health ones to reduce the chances that mobs get healed.

Taking Frigid Winds can be detrimental with Sanguine since mobs will take longer to run out of pools of Sanguine.

Be careful that you aren't rooting mobs before they are about to die.

Use Invisibility to drop aggro if you pull off your tank.

Give your tank time to generate threat before hitting them.

Try to not be in melee range for Skittish since you pull threat easier if you are within range of them.

Discreet Spellthread from Tailoring is especially useful for this affix.

More enemies means more Frozen Orbs since Blizzard will hit more targets!

Splitting Ice is required with this affix.

You may need to pool Fingers of Frost procs in order to quickly deal with Explosives.

I recommend using a mouseover macro for Ice Lance to be able to quickly kill Explosives without switching off your main target.

Be ready to use a Healthstone or Coastal Healing Potion if your healer is having a hard time getting you out of Grievous.

You can use Ice Block to get rid of Grievous stacks temporarily.

Treat Bursting the opposite way that you would treat Bolstering. Try and not kill mobs together so that your group isn't overwhelmed with Bursting stacks.

If a mob is about to die that will extend a large stack, use Polymorph to heal it up.

Be ready to use a Healthstone or Coastal Healing Potion if the next tick of Bursting will deal fatal damage.

The Vampiric Speed trait is extremely useful for helping your healer with Bursting.

Use Shimmer to move from Volcanic for a DPS gain.

If there is a pool of water, you can stand at the top and the Volcanics will spawn at the bottom of the water pool. The Volcanic pools will not damage you.

Quaking will break your Invisibility. Quaking can be applied on you if you are in your casted Invisibility but not during an Invisibility potion.

Use Ice Lance and Ice Barrier in moments where your rotation is interrupted by Quaking.

If you do get interrupted by Quaking, remember that you can still use Spellsteal and Counterspell.

Whack that staff against the mobs if you have nothing useful to cast when interrupted by Quaking!

Specific Dungeon TipsRezanFortifiedTime WarpInfested

Dazar'ai Juggernauts will Merciless Assault to a target outside of melee range if there is one. To trivialize this mechanic, your group should stack within melee range of the mob and have your Summon Water Elemental sit 15-20 yards away. This will cause Merciless Assault to go on your Summon Water Elemental every time.

Dazar'ai Confessor and Dazar'ai Augur both cast important abilities. Fiery Enchant, Mending Word, and Bwonsamdi's Mantle all need to be kicked or else your group will likely wipe.

TyrannicalRezanTime WarpRezan

Rezan will always cast Pursuit on a ranged target.

If you have Invisibility available you should get out of melee range of the boss after he casts Terrifying Visage.

If you get targeted by Pursuit you should instantly use Invisibility after he finishes the cast, this will make him stop running towards you.

Once you no longer have Invisibility available, you should stack with the melee after Terrifying Visage is casted. You should also make sure the tank and healer bait in range so that none of the DPS will get targeted by Pursuit.

Vol'kaalReanimated Honor GuardFortifiedControl Undead

If your group does decide to kill them, you need to first kill Reanimation Totem so that it doesn't heal nearby Reanimated Honor Guard for too much.

In all the packs leading up to Vol'Kaal there are Shieldbearer of Zuls. These mobs will cast Bulwark of Juju which should be interrupted in some way. Frost mages don't have a way to deal with this ability so your group should have something else coordinated.

Shroud of ConcealmentSkaggldrynkReanimated Honor GuardZanchuli Witch-Doctor

If your group does pull these packs, make sure that the Zanchuli Witch-Doctors gets fully locked down on interrupts. If an Unstable Hex cast goes through, you should be ready for the targeted player to get out of the group so that you can use Remove Curse on them.

Vol'kaal

Be sure that each of your DPS is assigned to a different Reanimation Totem in the first phase.

Save your Icy Veins for when all the totems have been dealt with.

When Vol'kaal is spewing Toxic Pool you can see them flying in the air towards you before they land. Try to move during instant cast globals or use Shimmer when you see this happening.

Stuns/disorients need to be coordinated for both Shieldbearer of Zul's Bulwark of Juju

It is likely that one or two casts of Unstable Hex go off since there are 2 of them, so be ready to use Remove Curse.

If it looks like your group may wipe, make sure someone hits the lever at the bottom of the stairs so that the gate opens.

Priestess Alun'zaFeasting SkyscreamerToxic Saurid

Toxic Saurid Leaping Thrash hits hits pretty hard and will do AoE, so your group should be spread.

You can use Ring of Frost, Frost Nova, and Freeze to delay their Leaping Thrash casts.

Make sure someone is assigned to kicking Terrifying Screech. If this cast goes off, it may often cause a wipe.

TyrannicalTime WarpFortified

Make sure you are not in line line with other players in your group for T'lonja’s Frenzied Charge. It is unavoidable and will stun you for 2 seconds. This is the most obnoxious mob in the pack, so I recommend focusing it down.

Dinomancer Kish'o should be focused down after. Her Dino Might ability needs to be kicked and if Deadeye Aim targets you multiple times in a row you may need to use Ice Block to survive.

Feasting SkyscreamerDazar'ai AugurDazar'ai Honor GuardPriestess Alun'zaInfestedInfested

Make sure that you are in melee range of the pack and that your Summon Water Elemental is sitting in rage to bait Dazar'ai Juggernaut's Merciless Assault.

It is important that Fiery Enchant gets interrupted quickly so that your group doesn't wipe.

If Gilded Priestess targets you, quickly sit in a pool of blood nearby so that the ability damages her instead of heals.

Priestess Alun'za

I recommend permanently crowd controlling Spirit of Golds with spells like Paralysis and Blind. If you run out of hard crowd control for them, you can keep stacked spirits rooted for 30+ seconds by rotating your Frost Nova and Pet Nova.

You are able to Spellsteal Gilded Claws if your tank needs the extra help.

It is worth not using Icy Veins if Priestess Alun'za will die in the same amount of Transfusion casts regardless.

This fight is rather long and is all about managing Echoes of Shadra and Soulrend well.

It will be very helpful to the rest of your group if you stack near the boss, instead of standing in range. This is because the Echoes of Shadra spiders will end up being more stacked if they are all running towards the same direction.

When Soulrend happens it is very important that you keep the Soulspawns slowed. If they are ever about to reach the boss, be ready to use Frost Nova or Pet Freeze.

Irontide Enforcer should be the priority target in this pull as it has the most health and is annoying for your tank. You should try to be as close to the tank as you can for this pull so that Shattering Toss doesn't launch him too far.

Be sure to avoid any Azerite Grenades that get thrown towards you from Irontide Crackshots.

The only thing that needs to be interrupt is Healing Balm from Irontide Bonesaw. If this casts goes off you should quickly Spellsteal who it went on so that they don't heal too much.

While Skycap'n Kragg is above 75% be close to the boss to bait Charrrrrge.

As a ranged player, you should be more than 30 yards away from the boss to avoid being hit by Azerite Powder Shot.

You should also try to position yourself so that you aren't behind a melee so that they don't get hit by Azerite Powder Shot if it targets you.

Sharkbait will always cast Vile Bombardment on the closest target to him. Since you are ranged I recommend trying to be the closest party member to him at all times if possible.

Irontide Oarsman casts Sea Spout which will make put a water spot under each player's feet. This should be interrupted

Cutwater Duelist will cast at a random player and will stun everyone in between. If you want to keep him in the pack, you can root him at the end of his cast and he won't charge.

Vermin TrapperRat TrapsCaptain Raoul

Be ready to swap to whoever gets Blackout Barrel as it can be very dangerous when combined with another ability.

Maintain a fair distance from Captain Raoul to avoid being hit by Barrel Smash.

If Captain Eudora is allied, he will instead periodically throw a Tapped Keg on the ground. Stand in this to do more damage!

Captain Eudora

This is often the hardest Captain to fight, especially during Tyrannical weeks due to Powder Shot hitting very hard.

If you will die to Powder Shot make sure you are ready to Healthstone or Coastal Healing Potion. You should also use Ice Barrier on cooldown to help mitigate its damage.

When Captain Eudora casts Grapeshot you should be ready to Shimmer through an opening.

If Captain Eudora is allied, she will periodically help you out by stunning another boss with Chain Shot.

Be ready to dodge Cutting Surge and Whirlpool of Blades. This is a good time to use Shimmer if you get targetted.

If Captain Jolly is allied, he will occasionaly buff you with making you go super speedy!

Rummy Mancomb

You should have Rummy Mancomb on focus so you can see which brew he is casting.

If he is casting Caustic Freehold Brew he is about to throw a bad brew down. Don't stand in this, it will hurt you!

If he is casting Invigorating Freehold Brew or Confidence-Boosting Freehold Brew make sure you stand where they are going to land for a big haste or critical strike buff!

If your healer doesn't do this, be ready to use Shimmer to kite effectively. Do NOT bring the Flailing Shark anywhere near melee.

At the end of his Shark Tornado cast he will charge towards the Flailing Shark to Rearm. Make sure you aren't between Trothak and the Flailing Shark so that you avoid getting hit by the charge.

When Irontide Grenadier spawn, use your Pet Freeze as soon as you can to be able to Freeze each add throughout the fight.

Do not save Icy Veins or Frozen Orb for Loaded Dice: Man-O-War. It is better to do consistent damage throughout the fight to make him cast Loaded Dice: Man-O-War faster.

The first is to skip The Council of Tribes trash packs on the bridge and pull everything else.

Minion of ZulThe Golden Serpent

This fight is all about managing Spit Gold.

If your healer might have trouble keeping you up through Spit Gold use Ice Block. You should have 2 up for this fight.

After the boss casts Lucre's Call you should lock down the Animated Gold with Ice Nova, Pet Freeze, and Ring of Frost (if talented).

If there are several Animated Gold out at a time you can keep Blizzard on them for more Frozen Orbs on the boss.

Mchimba the Embalmer

Do not use Spellsteal if Queen Wasi casts Seduction on someone. That will put the Seduction on you, making it more difficult to be removed.

King Timalji can target your Summon Water Elemental with Bladestorm, keep it away from everybody.

You can stand out of line of sight of Guard Captain Atu's Axe Barrage cast to avoid it.

Use Shimmer if targeted by Skeletal Hunting Raptor's Hunting Leap or Queen Patlaa's Darkshot.

If there isn't a Poison dispell available in your group, you should immediately use Ice Block if you get Hidden Blade on you.

Be near the pack so mobs don't get displaced out of AoE when they target you with Shadow Whirl.

You can also use your Freezes at the end of Spectral Berserker's Blooded Leap cast to make her recast it.

When Spectral Witch Doctor creates a Healing Tide Totem, you should kill it as soon as possible to reduce the healing it does.

Don't be in a line with your friends if Spectral Beastmaster is casting Poison Barrage on you.

Aka'ali the Conqueror

If you get targeted by Barrel Through you can use Invisibility to have it re-target someone.

You can also use Ice Block to solo soak it, but I do not recommend doing this unless you have already killed Kula the Butcher.

Kula the Butcher

After every other cast of Whirling Axes she will cast Severing Axe on a random party member. If you are targeted you should immediately use Ice Block because the dot does a lot of damage.

You should try to have Ice Block and Cold Snap for this boss if possible.

Zanazal the Wise

You should save your kick for Poison Nova since you should be able to reliably get it from range.

When the boss casts Call of the Elements your priority should be to kill the Explosive Totem followed by the Thundering Totem and Earthwall Totem.

If you are using Comet Storm, it will not do damage to the totems.

The best way to deal with Gale Slash is to start on the outer edge and only move in if you get targeted by Gale Slash. Since the Gale Slash always travels in a circle, you never have to dodge if you move up slightly.

If you get targeted by Quaking Leap, use Shimmer at the end of the cast to completely dodge the damage of it.

Use Shimmer to dodge Hunting Leap and Impaling Spear if necessary.

Save cooldowns until the boss gets hit by the first footbomb after he casts Footbomb Launcher.

The best way to handle Footbomb Launcher is to instantly kick in 2 footbombs and save the last one for when his buff is about to fall off so that it refreshes.

Mine Rat cast Throw Rock on a random party member, this is unavoidable. If multiple go on the same person, it can be very scary.

Venture Co. Earthshapers cast Rock Lance and Earth Shield. Rock Lance is the only thing you should worry about interrupting. Earth Shield can be dispelled with Arcane Torrent and Spellsteal.

If you are targeted with Raging Gaze don't get hit by the Earthrager targeting you.

Keep the Earthragers slowed making it easier for your group to kite them.

This can be a very difficult boss if you manage your Shimmers poorly or if the boss is positioned poorly.

Homing Missile will always go on a ranged target so make sure you don't hit your friends!

You should save your Shimmer charges for when Homing Missile lines up with Gatling Gun orGatling Gun.

Don't be afraid to use Ice Block if you will get by Gatling Gun orGatling Gun as they will kill you quickly.

In the intermission, make sure you are in position to get to a pillar quickly if you get targeted with Drill Smash.

Aqu'sirr

Shrine Templar will cast Tidal Surge, coordinate with your group to let this cast go through. You can Spellsteal it for a damage buff. He will also cast Protective Aura which will reduce all damage mobs around the mob will take. This may be worth letting go through if you are using a Subtelty Rogue to funnel damage with Tidesage Initiates or Animated Droplets.

Temple Attendants should have Water Blast kicked as much as possible, if one or two go of your tank should be fine.

Living Current are relatively annoying to deal with because of Rising Tides. You can pre use Ice Block to not get thrown in the air.

Windspeaker Heldis casts Gale Winds frequently. You should use Ice Barrier, Healthstone, and Coastal Healing Potion to help your healer out during this. Windspeaker Heldis will also cast Minor Swiftness Ward, stand in this for a small haste boost.

Runecarver Sorn casts Carve Flesh and Minor Reinforcing Ward. Stand in the Minor Reinforcing Ward to mitigate Carve Flesh if it targets you. You can also use Invisibility or Ice Block if you are in trouble.

Guardian Elemental will cast Shipbreaker Storm. This will do heavy AoE damage, use Ice Barrier, Healthstone, and Coastal Healing Potion to help your healer out during this. You may also stay out of line of sight of Guardian Elemental to take no damage from Shipbreaker Storm.

Galecaller Faye should be focused since she is the most dangerous

Slicing Blast needs to always be interupted. If you have three 15 second interrupts in your group, you should never need to interrupt. In that case use your interrupt if she gets close to finishing or if two interrupts overlap.

If Galecaller Faye is interrupted while Blessing of the Tempest is active, the party will receive a damage taken debuff. Blowbacks will also spawn on the ground, be sure to dodge these!

You can clear your debuff by quickly running through Reinforcing Ward spawned by Brother Ironhull.

When she uses Swiftness Ward, make sure you stand in it for a haste increase. Beware that any Blowbacks that pass through the Swiftness Ward will move faster.

When Brother Ironhull casts Hindering Cleave do not be in front of him.

This can be tricky if your group doesn't have two 15 second interrupts.

You should get the first interrupt on the Forgotten Denizen your group isn't focusing. The add you are focusing needs to die before the 3rd cast goes off, so that the melee have enough time to interrupt the far Forgotten Denizen.

Use Pet Freeze or Frost Nova on any Manifestation of the Deeps that get close to the boss.

Coordinate with your group to let Kul Tiran Wavetender's Watertight Shell cast go through. It will put a magic buff on a random enemy that you should Spellsteal. After it expires on you it will do a large amount of AoE damage.

Don't be in front of Kul Tiran Vanguard to avoid getting hit by Heavy Slash.

When fighting Irontide Raider, get ready to use Shimmer to get back in range when targeted with Iron Hook.

Snarling Dockhound will jump to your and root you with Clamping Jaws. Use Shimmer or Ice Block to avoid any incoming damage if this happens.

When Snarling Dockhound dies, Dockhound Packmaster's abilities will become useless.

Sergeant BainbridgeChopper Redhook

Make sure that if you are targeted with Iron Gaze that you are ready to drag them into any explosive bombs on the ground.

You should save Frozen Orb so that you can get good use of it until the boss is stunned by a bomb.

If there are no explosive bombs available to kite the boss into, you can use Invisibility to make the boss recast Iron Gaze.

The boss will cast Meat Hook/Hangman's Noose if they aren't run into an explosive bomb after 20 seconds.

To get rid of this simply run close to the boss, but this will trigger a Steel Tempest. Make sure to communicate to your group this is about to happen so they can safely leave.

Shimmer away if you trigger Steel Tempest.

Dread Captain Lockwood

Ashvane Commander will cast Bolstering Shout on all nearby targets. You should use Arcane Torrent or Spellsteal on any priority targets.

Right before you enter the shooting area before the spotter there are 4 Scrimshaw Gutters to the right. Simply Blizzard them for free mob count.

You should take advantage of Ashvane Spotter's Sighted Artillery to kill as many mobs as possible. The ability scales with key level and will eventually one shot all mobs that stand in it. Some enemies are not affected like Ashvane Spotter and Ashvane Commander.

The pack in front of Ashvane Cannoneer has a Ashvane Cannoneer and a Ashvane Spotter. Neither of those mobs are affected by Sighted Artillery so they should be the priority targets.

Dread Captain Lockwood

Make sure you have full uptime on the boss so that she doesn't use Evasive.

This boss can be rooted by Frost Nova and Pet Freeze, take advantage of this to Shatter your abilities!

Try to always be spread from other people in your group so that Putrid Waters can safely be dispelled from you instantly.

Use Shimmer to efficiently dodge Call of the Deep.

Don't be anywhere a Demolishing Terror could spawn. That's asking for a good way to get whacked to death!

A common strategy is to save all cooldowns for the last platform. The idea behind this is so you can quickly burn the Gripping Terror as the Demolishing Terror almost has the same amount of health.

Make sure you are never hitting into the boss that has Lightning Shield.

When Adderis is shielded you should be ready to look for Arc Dash's graphic which is telegraphed by arrows on the ground. Don't be in the path of these arrows.

Scaled Krolusk Rider will cast Electrified Scales which will reflect damage to attackers. You should Spellsteal this to reduce group damage.

If you get afflicted by Sandswept Marksman's Neurotoxin try not to move. You can use Ice Block or Shimmer to move if you have to.

If you get targeted by Deadeye, you can either use Invisibility, take it the face, or have another member move in front of you. If possible, you should have another player take it instead of you since as a ranged you are guaranteed to be one of the targets of Explosive Burst.

This fight is relatively simple and only comes down to not overlapping interrupts. There should be someone in your group calling who is interrupting the boss and adds that spawn throughout the fight.

Also be sure to dodge Creeping Rot and Sanguine Feast. Your position should be close to the boss at all times so that players in your group don't lose much up-time when she uses Sanguine Feast.

Fetid Maggot's Rotten Bile can be dodged by standing behind the mob. This can also be stunned/disoriented to be stopped completely.

Make sure that Feral Bloodswarmer's Sonic Screech and Diseased Lasher's Decaying Mind are interrupted. Often, one of these going off is enough to cause a group wipe.

If the Feral Bloodswarmer casts Thirst For Blood on you, you should Ice Block to get rid of the debuff.

Cragmaw the Infested

This fight requires a lot of movement, which Frost does not excel at.

Each ability the boss uses will spawn Blood Tick larvae on the ground. Your group should make it a priority to step on them so that you aren't overrun with Blood Tick.

When the boss casts Charge it will go to a random player. To make this mechanic easy to deal with all players should be stacked on a wall close to the boss when they aren't soaking larvae.

Tantrum is the hard part of the fight to deal with. I suggest one or two players use a Lightfoot Potion to help deal with soaking the spread out larvae each Tantrum.

Tantrum is also the most healing intensive part of the fight, make sure you have Healthstone and Coastal Healing Potion ready during this part of the fight.

You should be moving to reduce Aura of Dread if you have 2 or more stacks.

Your goal for this sister is to only get no more than one Unstable Runic Mark each time she has the Focusing Iris.

You should be in melee range of the boss every time the boss casts Soul Thorns. If it targets you, your melee will be able to help you get out.

When the boss walks through fire it will gain Burning Brush. You may need to use Ice Block here if your healer needs extra help.

Start the fight already spread so you can be dispelled quickly if targeted with Virulent Pathogen.

If Lord Waycrest and Lady Waycrest are both present at the same time you should focus Lord Waycrest as he is the most dangerous for your tank.

Your focus on this fight should to avoid Deathtouched Slavers getting out of control.

To keep them under control your group should make sure 1 or 2 die before every Dread Essence. Once they die whoever picked up Alchemical Fire needs to make sure they are burned.

You can stop Deathtouched Slaver from casting Death Lens by using Polymorph on them while they are casting.

If a new Deathtouched Slaver spawns when the boss almost has 100 energy, you should not hit it until Dread Essence has been casted so that damage on it isn’t wasted.

How does the F.R.I.E.D work? When I try to use one before an intellect potion, the potion cd is shared with the bomb. The reverse is true as well. I've seen people commenting that they can be used together, but it's not working for me. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.
