You can get snowflakes by /kiss ing a Winter Reveler. You have a chance to receive 5 of them, and it can only be done once per hour.

This one is very easy on PvE servers. Since there, if your alliance, you can just ask a friend to make a level 1 horde char of each of the classes, and visa versa.

Maybe the deathknight one might be tricky, i dunno if you can make a 55 horde deathknight, if you only have a 55+ lvl alliance char on the server.

If this is anything like Where's Your Head? then you can do this in neutral cities (ie. Shattrath) to players of the opposing faction. Easy enough.

You get a Handful of snowflakes by using /kiss on one of the Winter Revelers at the inn. It might give you Fresh Holly or Mistletoe instead though.

To complete this one, you need to get Handful of Snowflakes by kissing Winter revelers in inns around that Azeroth. (At the time im writing this, revelers in Dalaran were bugged and didnt react to /kiss emote and yes I didnt have the debuff)

Then you just use snowflakes on class player combinations listed in achievement. Dalaran at peak hours might be a good place to do this. Good luck!

You ought to thank your lucky stars you aren't one of the class/race mixes listed - I'm a belf warlock and I've had snow chucked at me 3 times in as many minutes so guys could complete this achievement - and you can't debuff.

A simple way to find the location of people of the race/class combinations on the list for this and other similar achievements, for your side only, is to do a /who <race> <class> command.

Although standing in Org or IF works too.

This is what I did, and it worked really well.
I stood in Stormwind, did a /who dwarf paladin stormwind, and found a guy. Wrote /tar 'thenamehehadhere', and then ran from the AH to the Mailbox, because he were in range, but not in LOS.

Completed the alliance combinations in less than 3 minutes.
I even got some /w's who said 'WTF, how did you do that? D:'

I felt sorry for the poor guy. I hope he was wearing some warm clothes under that armour!

I think you will find an Orc Death Knight pretty easy in orgrimmar so the alt idea works good.
But on PvP servers its kinda hard for you friend to create horde and alliance alts, hehe.

The easiest way to find the Orc Death Knight, only if you are a Death Knight yourself, is to simply port to Ebon Hold and stand at the spawn point until one shows up. I did this and found one in seconds.

If you are a Druid, you may just port to Moonglade and look around to find a Night Elf Druid.

If you are a Rogue, you could stealth into the opposing faction's city (Orgrimmar/Stormwind are the most popular) and stand at one of the hot-spots such as the bank, flight master, auction house, mage trainer, or the battleground room and throw the snowflakes at people. This is an easy way to get credit for the opposing faction.

As for the others, there are a few ways to do it:

¤ Go to Dalaran/Shattrath and search for them, as there are all types of race/class combinations there.
¤ Stand in one of the faction-specific major cities and hope not to be instantly killed while throwing snowflakes at people.
¤ Enter a battleground and search the list for the combinations that you need, then go find them and throw snowflakes at them.
¤ Visit each of the class trainers and wait for a player of the specific race that you need to show up.
¤ Visit each of the starting zones and wait for a player of the specific class that you need to appear.

for all pvp server inhabitants:

you all got those test account keys for wotlk.
create an account, create the needed chars, put them where you want them.
tell login+pw to a friend, ask them to log in for 2 mins until u get your achievment.

But you could use the account to check if there's one in dalaran, and get his/her name so you can run around spamming a /target macro :)

i play on magtheridon EU horde, i see about 1 aliance a day if im lucky(20k VS 400 or so of lvl 20+). i chose 2 find the human in the northshire abby, dorfs and gnomes in theyr own start zone, and so on, no BG needed :P, also u dont have 2 hope u can actualy reech the gnome mage in a WSG, its awfull for ur team if they all chase the gnome mage and let it live yust to get this achiefment, since if it has the flag they STILL let it live so nr 10 can get his achiefment!

I am alliance so searching for that special Draenei priest was easy for me, but man oh man Orc Death Knights are the most difficult thing in the world.

I swear I saw 20 Female Dwarf Rogues before I saw an Orc Death Knight ride by me. My snowflake was on cooldown so I had to /wait him.

just completed on my horde main - only one i had trouble finding was Dranei Priest. created an ally toon, /who to find one and asked politly if i could do the achievment on him and where i would be able to find him, he was very helpfull. i am also goin to take the ally toon {which i made a draenei priest} and stand outside org so others can complete they're achievment

I found that the bet place to get this achievement done was to stand on the bank steps in Dalaran and look for the classes you need as they come in and out. Everyone has to go to the bank at some point! I got this done in one hour.

For your own faction only, you can use /who as follows:

/who z-"Major City" c-"Class" r-"Race"

I.e.,

/who z-"Dalaran" c-"Paladin" r-"Dwarf"

To make it easy on yourself, go to Ironforge. Half the time, the people are in the Auction House.

just glad winter veil is over... so annoying to walk down the street and get pelted by 20+ snowflakes just so people could get their achievement. I was going on my way and people would actually whisper me to wait! I would get on my mount and fly away before they could get me!

So far my best spot was Argent tornament.
Just wait till raid times and you will see lots of races standing there before they start to raid. Only problem is 1 min cooldown on item.

This year, you can't send items of limited duration (i.e. snowflakes) to another toon.

This quest can be infinitely frustrating to some people.

I missed the chance of getting it done last year because, somehow, I went the entire length of the event without ever getting a SINGLE x5 of the snowflakes. To top this off, as of right now I've gotten nothing but Mistletoe this year having /kiss'd once every hour (dull day, just logged in about every hour to do it, then logged back out).

I'm willing to accept RNG as part of an MMO when it comes to combat, it's just the nature of the beast, but these ridiculous damned chances of being screwed out of an achievement for a year because of it is just ridiculous. Either make another way of getting the item required for this achievement or remove these kinds of achievements.

My luck is bad enough as it is, no need to rub it in.

the easy way to find "hard" toons is creating alts, since you can create both ally/horde on same server its no problem.
Go to starter zone (dwarf for example) set window mode and launch another client (yes you can launch 2 wow clients on same computer) log on your account (you will be dc'd from your main toon) now create dwarf priest log and get back to 1st launched client and log in (do not logout from dwarf char cuz he will disapear) on your main char. Tadam the dwarf priest is still in game, oh and ofcourse you cant do this with dk (you will be need to complete q to get out from ebon hold)

In this way i completed Turkey Lurkey

Due to my own stupidity I forgot to go and find a Draenei Priest on one of my alts. And sadly I can confirm that it's only during Winter Veil (as the achievement says) that you can get this done. Had a spare snowflake but it didn't work. :(

For 2010, this achievement may either be horribly hard, or as easy as last year's to get, depending on people's willingness to travel/port to Dalaran on the lookout for each other. Otherwise, this may be the cue for the largest invasion of red-nosed cavalry Orgrimmar has ever seen.

Just like the Pilgrim Achievement and the Wrath of the Horde/Alliance Achievements I can confirm that the ALT + F4 strat works for this. I just did it and I got the achievement and it took me only 20 minutes for the opposite faction part.

Basically you make a level 1 alt of what you need

Park that alt somewhere

Head to that specific place on your main with snowflakes on a keybind

Log back on the level 1 alt and hit ALT + F4

Quickly log on your main and you will see your level 1 alt idling there.

Use your Snowflakes fast because you got about 15 seconds or so before they disappear.

A way to quickly find the race/class combinations for your faction, the other side too if you are able to have both an alliance or horde character on the same realm or the room.

1. type /who (race you want) then press enter.

ex. /who Blood elf

This will open up a new window with all blood elfs, so that you can just look for the class that you want, see where they are & go to them, or you can whisper them offer them gold to come to you or meet you in the middle.

2. Another way to get the achievement, is to go to the different starting areas & have a friend create that particular race/class combo.

I found the easist way to do this (as horde) with a few deaths inbetween was to fly into Iron Forge. Once right inside you are near the bank and that's where all the alliance folks seem to hang out anyways. You need to fly up into the ceiling as high as you can because if your down low they are going to be shooting at you. From up there not to many see you and you can look down and pick out any of the classes you want to toss a snowflake on. Just go ahead and target the one you want then fly down and cast that little snowflake as soon as you are close. Now your in for death. Best thing to do is start running to the left or right hall. I always went left. Yes your going to be a stain on the floor soon enough. Now go ahead and come back as a ghost. Now here is the thing, you can target people now as a ghost and pick your next victim. Just be ready with that snowflake when you revive. Now I admit it took about 30 mins for me to get all 5 of the ones you need on alliance. The hardest one was the Draenei Priest. Those seem to be rare as ..................... well, rare as a snowball in the forge.

Do yourself a favor and make sure you have a few xtra snowflakes, however you should be able to get your Alliance side soon enough. And yes I tried Dalaran first, but since the update no one seems to hang out there much anymore.

Have they changed it so you can no longer get the race combo's completed in battlegrounds? Just spent an hour doing AV bg's, and every time I'd snowball one of the combo's, nothing happened. I must've snowballed at least 5 Human Warriors, yet it's still "not complete" on my achievement tab.

What's happening? Am I doing something wrong?

If you are not pvp enabled and you snow-flake someone from the other faction who is, you will NOT get pvp enabled yourself. : )

Time consuming, but you could go to where you rescue Metzen the Reindeer. Since a lot of people are doing that daily, people trickle in constantly. Only a matter of time before the right combos show up. I've gotten 3 horde (I'm alliance) in 30 minutes.

If you need the races from the opposite faction, just camp out the Greench Cave in Hillsbrad. Everyone has to do that daily sometime :)

I did this achievement while working on With a Little Helper from my Friends in Battlegrounds. The BG's roster offers an easy way to spot the race/class combinations you need, then it's just a matter of keeping an eye out for that person. Mid to small sized BGs are best. Large ones like AV and Isle of Conquest makes finding a specific person like finding a needle in a haystack. If you have trouble finding a specific person in a Battleground, just check their name on the roster and type /tar name. Just the first few letters of their name is usually enough.

Although I didn't find every combination I needed, so I used the Alt-F4 trick to finish off the achievement. Just make an alt for the needed combination, then travel to that alt's location. Log on to the alt, then hit Alt-F4, or just open a second copy of Wow and log in, load up your main and pop the alt with your snowflakes. Once you hit Alt-F4 the alt will remain for 20 seconds. This method is tedious, though, so I'm glad I did the BG thing first. Making 2 or 3 alts is better than making 5 or more.

Sorry if this macro has already been posted (Great minds may think alike), but here is a macro I put together from a few other macros. It works GREAT for Shake Your Bunny Maker (Noble Gardens), and Let It Snow (Winter Veil).
It will list in chat:
Gender
Level
Race
Class
and if they are "Clear"
(great for Shake Your Bunny Maker)

/run DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage((UnitSex("target")==2 and "Male " or "Female ")..UnitLevel("target").." "..UnitRace("target").." "..UnitClass("target").." "..(UnitBuff("target","Sprung!")=="Sprung!" and "Sprung!" or "clear"));

I was able to get all Let It Snow in less than 2 hours. Horde in just 6 minutes and Alliance in 1 and a half hours.

Alt F4 trick doesn't work on a mac, however you can use Command Option Escape to force the window to close and do the same thing. I got everything except the BE Warlock, so I created one and used this method to flake him. Achievement done. You can also use /who from your level 1 horde toon to find the other horde you need.

Here is a tip I did not see anyone mention.

If you click "o" on your keyboard it should be hotkeyed to pull up the chat tool. At the bottom there is a tab that says "who." Click on that tab and sort by race. It will show you everyone in the area and what race/class combo they are.

I am alliance and used this in Stormwind and had the alliance portion completed in no time. Unfortunately this trick will not work for opposite faction, but the others tips will. ;)

As of 4.3, if you are looking to do this without going into battlegrounds, a great place is in where you kill the Greench for the daily You're a mean one.... He is located at 43,39 in Hillsbrad Foothills. Hope this helps :)

what I found out that works really good is to do battlegrounds. it might take a few tries and you might not find everybody you need in the same BG but when you do find them they are easy to get to and you dont have to worry about durability damage. Merry Christmas.

I'm posting this with about a week to go in the Winter Veil event. And odds are that if you're looking this up around now, you're in the same boat I am. "HOW DO I GET OPPOSING FACTION PEOPLES!" Breathe deep, we got this.

The suggestions given before are good, but let me restate some of them here as well. I'm assuming you know the basics, so we're skipping the how to get / where to get Handful of Snowflakes. I'm doing this on a PvE server, so your mileage may vary on a PvP server.

The first thing I would recommend, "track" the achievement. Open up your achievement panel ("Y" or the shield on the toolbar) and find the "Let it Snow" quest under "World Events" / "Winter Veil". And tap the "Track" button. this makes it a LOT easier to keep a tally on what you have / need. It doesn't hurt to track "Merrymaker" in the "world Events" tab so you can see what else you need to do.

Second is put the snowflakes on one of your bars so you can access it quickly. The last thing you want to do is see one and by the time you open bags to get at the snowflakes, they're gone. Speed is important, because these folks are about as sick of being pelted as anyone else could be. So to them, I'm sorry guys, blame Blizzard.

Now the locations. I'm playing alliance and horde, so I'm trying to do it on both sides. NOT EASY. So the suggestions of where to look in order of least likely to get you gacked to most likely.

Dalaran / Shattrath City. As neutral cities you're likely to run into members of the opposing faction in these places, but not as much. Since Cata, Dalaran isn't the central hub it used to be, so more often than not it's a ghost town. So you may be waiting a long, logn while to see any opposing faction, let alone what you need to find for the achieve. But if you don't want to deal with PvP possibilities, this is the safest bet.

Camping The Abominable Greench. This works a little better as it's a central location that everyone will be going to for the daily prezzie. The down side is that this is in world, so PvP servers you can get attacked while waiting. If you play PvE, this is a MUCH more workable strategy as everyone has to come here eventually. As I've been typing this up 3 groups have come and gone, so the turnover is pretty decent. On my server, the horde and alliance tend to congregate on opposite sides of the field before attacking, so you need to look over and see who's on the other side before the fight. Plus if you're AFK, and someone goes in for the kill, Shrink Heart will kill you outright. If you are camping here, at least be polite and help kill the thing when they go in for it finally.

Camping a major city entrance. I've been doing this on and off, with no luck yet. My theory is that outside the front gates of Stormwind City / Orgrimmar many players will duel, so you may find what you're looking for that way. This is more a PvE suggestion, but even then the risk comes in getting too close to the city and getting flagged for PvP. It's amusing, however, to be in the right area and wave at opposing faction people. On a PvE server I've found that once they realize you're not there to rush the gates, and they see you throw a snowflake bundle, they leave you be as long as you're not flagged.

Camping start zones. This is workable, but again you'll be waiting a while. A lot of people are making toons just to get this achievement, so you might be able to get one running through the start gates or similar.

Zone patrolling. I don't recommend this, you'll be paroling a long, LONG time.

PvP Battlegrounds. This is probably the FASTEST way to get the opposing faction you need, but you're at the whim of the fates to see if who you need shows up. I recommend the larger battlegrounds (Alterac Valley, Isle of Conquest or even Tol Barad), as these have a larger diversity of people in them. If you go this route, speed is the key. Tap the "v" key to get the enemy name plates up to spot people faster. mouse-over them and quickly glance to see race/class. Target, slow them down if you need to, and throw the snow fast. In one PvP battle in Alterac Valley I got 3 of 5, so it's fast but hectic. I also recommend taking a 5 minute break at least between sessions or swap battlegrounds often, so you don't get the same opponents over and over again.

the last recommendation, someone makes a toon specifically for you to hit with flakes. It's cheezy, but I reluctantly agree that it works if you're just going for the achievement, but it's kinda hollow.

There's a LOT more ways to do it, sure, but those are what I've been trying with some success.

This achievement was difficult. After trying bg's and looking in dal/shatt and attempting to fly over stormwind city to try and spot the remaining alliance i needed to throw snow flakes on, i just couldnt find the races i needed. So, I tried creating a human warrior. I took my main and left him in Northshire Valley in Elwynn Forest. Logged on the warrior i just created and opened another WOW window(while still logged on the warrior) In the new window i opened i put in all my info and logged in on my main. The other window will say you got disconnected but the human warrior was still visiable for about 25-30 seconds which now you can snowflake for achieve! This is a good alternative if you play on off peak hours or are just having a difficult time. Just make sure you know where you placed your main and then walk your new created character where you had just logged out. Worked well for Me!

I would honestly not be suprised if they added Pandaren monks. The only reason they didn't add worgen and goblins is that the class for each race has to be different. This achievement is the snowing of (lorewise) common race/class combos.

Today is the day to finish this achievement for your lowies - visit the wonderful new Darkmoon Faire - and wait right after the portal for those players of the opposing faction porting in!

Easy Tactics for finding the Opposing Factions Chars:

The Darkmoon Faire is Amazing for this, or to a lesser extent, people are still doing the Molten Front on occasion.
Make an alt of the other faction, whisper the player you need, ask them if they could port somewhere like Hyjal (its a very quick free port there and back home for both factions).
Theres always PVP, pair it with With a Little Helper from My Friends.
There is no level requirement, so set up a trial account and make a throwaway alt.

These are the ones i had the most difficulty finding, although none were really that difficult:
Horde Side: Undead Rogue was the hardest (stealth ability coupled with their rarity), followed by Tauren Shaman.
Ally Side: Draenei Priest was very rare, followed by Dwarf Paladin.

A tip about the Snowflakes:
Though they're a conjured item, they can be traded. If you're having trouble getting them on the character you're doing the achievement on, run your alts through the Reveler kissing as well, and then co-ordinate with a friend or guildmate to trade the snowflakes to them while you hop to your main.

Dwarf paladins were the "hardest" to find. Perhaps I was lucky enough, since I just did one bg and then went to Stormwind City the duel arena to look if I can find them. It was faster than BG. Also going to Dun Morogh for Dwarf Paladin. :)

For those funny achievements where you need to 'hunt' a class/race of player, just type the following on the 'who' social tab and you will find any player in-game at the needed race and class (only works for the faction your are typing, so if you want on the other, you must use one at theirs too, even a level 1 is enough):

Unlike the Turkey Lurkey achievement and some other What a Long, Strange Trip It's Been achievements, you will still get credit if you use snowflakes on someone who already has the buff.

If you are having difficulty finding a particular race/class combination for this achievement, simply go camp the starting area for that race. Since none of these areas are phased except for the Death Knight, it shouldn't be long before someone of the class you are looking for pops up. To avoid getting killed by guards, just stay in the quest area, where the low-level mobs are.

Also, you must /kiss the Winter Reveler for a 1/3 chance to get 5x Handful of Snowflakes. Do not mistake Commoners for Revelers, as they have similar outfits.

A good way to get this, if you don't feel like running all over the place, is sitting for a while over where The Abominable Greench spawns; a lot of people from both factions will be doing the quest and you can either camp out for a bit or do watch for race/class combos each day when completing You're a Mean One... / You're a Mean One....

Honestly, if you just want to get the achievement over with, the easiest way to get the opposing faction race/class combos you need is to create a trial account and run a 2nd wow client. Create level 1 toons of whatever variety you require; perhaps move them out of the way of any guards, and then simply alt-tab to your main wow client and fly to where that character is to throw your snow on them.

All done in about 20 - 30 minutes. It is a good idea to move any draenei and blood elf characters out of their start areas as you can't take flying mounts there (draenei can take the boat to teldrassil and blood elves can take the silvermoon teleport to outside undercity).

you can have some one make lvl 1 toon and throw snow on them and get it completed did it to day 12-16-14

I pretty much found everyone i needed in Dalaran. Also, you can hang out by Greatfather Winter to get your own faction combinations.
