Useful abilty for the succy for PvP. Since other players cannot see invis pets (unless they have the warlock buff), you can keep it hidden until you cast seduce.

Also somewhat useful if you are a Demonlogy raiding lock and you don't want to send your pet in melee, at least you can keep the succy invis for 10% more damage + other Demon buffs.

To Crevox: Difference between "Lesser invisibility" and "inviibility" is, that lesser invisibility can by detected by https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/spell=132 , but Invisibility can not be detected

Cast Lesser Invisibility on your succy, and then ( on BG ) use sleep emote ,it can be funny ,if your enemy won't spot you ^^

It is quite useful to keep her safe from rogues' Sap before the combat actually begins .

Is this at all useful?

The most useful pvp spell ever.

It's fun to pretend to be afk, and when the enemy tries to gank you, a succubus appears out of nowhere and seduces him.
Stand up, /lol at him and make him feel like a sucker :)

Can this invis be detected, like a rogue at close range?

only with the buff: detect lesser invisibility (or other invisibility seeing buffs ofc) =)
