It goes yellow at 30, green at 35, and gray at 40, but yes, you're right, it makes Cooking too easy. Even worse, you get 1 silver per 20 Spice Bread (1 stack), so you're only really paying for the twenty Mild Spices - 40 copper per 20 bread - so it's very cheap, too.

Still, if it's enough to get people actually INTERESTED in Cooking, it IS nice to get the skill up quickly and begin learning the various recipes that are actually useful.

For anyone else looking to level cooking from scratch at 80, no, the dalaran trainer does not have this recipe for some reason.
