I have average gear. + im hemo with the ap bonus. I have almost 1.5k ap.
1.5k*0.24=360
1000+360=1360
1360*1.3(30% added dmg from talent)=1768
so rupture does around 1.8k dmg if u have imp rupture and 1.5k ap. Dont you think this needs a buff? for pvp this attack was before usefull agaisnt warriors, it usually took them down to 2/3 hp or so. no with warriors with 10-13k hp 1.8k is dog &*!@ in my opinion. the one attack we had that was good against warriors has not really been nerfed but it hasn't followed the same curve as the warriors hp. therefor rogues now have it even harder against warriors and now the most we can do is stun and kill with white dmg which is fully effected by their 40%+ dmg reduction or our evis/ss abillities that get effected just the same. for the rupture to become usefull i propose the dmg be raised to 1.5-2k.
1500*0.24=
360+1500=1860
1860*1.3=2418
360+2000=2360
2360*1.3=3068
a raise to 2k dmg+24% from ap would be nice and then become useful again
a war with 10k hp would after rupture have 7k and then a rogue has a perfectly fair chance of killing him/her. as i see it atm i can use almost all my cds and in the end becuase they're 10k health and 40% dmg red they usually have 30% left when they can start nuking me fully without me being able to stun him/her.
rogues need this buff to be able to compare themselves with warriors and to again have a chance and not have to coward away every time we see one.
besides even if the rupture dmg was buffed so it would do around 3k after talent and things added then evis wouldnt become useless becuase it would still be needed against clothies and leather and maybe mail aswell becuase its often needed to kill fast in pvp before some1 else comes.
to sum up i just wanna say that to even it out for rogues against warriors there is really needed a buff in the rupture attack.

Keep in mind that % dmg adds stack in this way. 20% from oppertunity first so a 1000 point garrote would with 0 ap does 1200 dmg, then add master of subtlety 10% for 1320 (1200 +120) THEN add 20% from shadow step for 1584 (1320 +264). This is with 0 ap! add in 24% of an average ap of 1500 and start from the beggining, +20%, then 10%, then 20%. If you manage to get your rupture off in 6 seconds from opener(not hard with premeditation), you get master of subtly bonus to that as well. massive ammount of pain in a very short time, vanish and watch them bleed. Healers get cheap shoted when they try to heal, and then kicked. Use shiv to apply deadlies and envenom when you can. From regular white dmg and only using envemon and shiv, you should (missing still an issue) deal around 7k dmg over 16 secs, , most of it completely or hard to resist, no platemail can help you with poison and bleed dmg. So think of what cloth users are going to think about you brutalizing them from the shadows unable to strike back?

360 + 1000 = 1360 damage
1360 x 1.30 (Serrated Blades talent) = 1768
Untalented 1500 AP damage = 1360
Talented 1500 AP damage = 1768
Difference = 408 damage
if talented or not

With the mangle debuff on your target this spell will do an other 30% more damage. I think that is very nice. But without it I think Evis is better.

Since the dmg of evis is getting decreased by targets armor it only become's usefull with 5 CP and CB for pvp and for pve in pvp cases when you fight a high armored player feral druid warrior and paladin its better to use the dot combo. On lvl 70 its about 3.8k dmg with the right specc and the good useage of skill's (thinking of shadowstep premeditation)thats 3.8k dmg over time and all of you forgot the white dmg in between same with the hemmo dmg. This specc is totaly made for fist/sword/mace because if this specc is used with daggers you dont have enough energie to do the dots +hemmo and the backstab. If you use this specc ambush is useless since its based on garrote anyway so i think its best to use slow weapons

the good thing with this is that its fun if u have deadly psn on and garrote on already. vanish and wait out then go for the long stunlock after xD

Just a reminder that resilience decreases DoTs. A warrior with 475 resilience would be taking 12% less damage from this attack.
