I just love the concept of this talent. It used to be that combat rogues had to choose a weapon type, get the corresponding talent, and then stick with that type. That meant that you were either spamming SS or BS. With this you can both equip a slow MH fist for high SS hits, or a dagger for ambush and BS.
This is also a bonus for leveling rogues. With the same spec you could be opening with ambush, change weapons and the use SS when you are soloing and can't get behind the enemy. And when you are in a group or pvp you could use daggers for high sustained DPS with backstab.
Since you can OH a fast dagger without penalty you would also get more poison procs with this talent.

handy talent for fist speced rogues since there arent too many fast OH fists, and it would be better for combat potency to have a 1.3-1.4 speed dagger on your OH

the tooltip is incorrect in 3.0.3, the crit applies to fists, but not daggers.

For Mut PVP Rogues at 80, Its a choice between Mut/Prep or Burst mut. Ive specced out of this for a modified version of Mut/Prep (Swapping Focused Attacks for Imp. KS for better stunlocks) and my crit is suffering. But sub is a great tree for PVP, and getting this loses alot of survivability for the rogue, but adds hefty damage. really a toss-up.
