I hate that my cloth-armored characters are practically forced to look like every other mage and warlock out there. By the time your cloth wearer hits 70, it's going to be difficult to avoid dressing them in a robe and arming them with a staff, but there are some alternatives if you work at them. This is the first item in a sequence that gets you from 36 almost all the way to 80, showing some leg without having to sacrifice much (if anything) at the leg armor slot.

Combine these items with a tunic in the chest slot and a tabard, and you can keep your female toons in a practical and attention-getting kit that's an alternative to the traditional (yech) robes and dresses.

Needless to say, this sequence is for leveling and daily grinding only. If you're gonna PvP or Raid, these will not all suffice, especially at endgame. (By the time you get to 60, you'll want a separate kit for PvP and another for Raids, anyway)

36 to 50 : Black Mageweave Leggings (BoE, Tailoring)
51 to 56 : Cindercloth Pants (BoE, Tailoring)
57 to 70ish : Abyssal Cloth Pants (BoE, Quest Objective Drop - quest starts here)
70ish to 80 : Pants of the Naaru (BoP, Quest Reward in the Arcatraz Key quest chain - start here)

The latter set will take you almost all the way to 80, especially if you enchant them with a Sapphire Spellthread. There are enchants available from Tailors or on the AH for all of these items except the Black Mageweave Leggings.

I have been searching and searching for leggings with this shape but in white, for my Night Elf hunter to wear. Just some cute off-duty clothes. They don't need to have good stats or anything. Cloth, leather, or mail would all be fine. But there are no hot outfits in white!

Blizzard always shows the Night Elves dressed in skimpy outfits in their art, but how often do we actually get to look like that in the game? Very rarely. Blizzard did great in making the dressing room feature for those of us who care about the aesthetic features of the game. Now take the next step and make clothes that are actually worth trying on!

Till then I'm going to have to be satisfied just wearing my white guild tabard and nothing else while off-duty, I guess. But my dream outfit would be the white undies and thigh-high boots with white shoulders, white cape, white gloves/bracers, and the white tabard.

This is one of my favorite pieces of armor. I have these because they are good for my level, but I had no idea they looked that good til I got them! I wear these everywhere and get many a compliment, today I was just sitting in an inn and some night elf starts messin with me :-P Gave me a good laugh. Even after I find better leg armor, these will definetly be my off-duty outfit :-)

It seems like Draenei are the most popular race of all of WoW, I've seen pics of them in the Lovely Dresses, the combonation of Vanguard Shoulder, Breastplate, Legplates, and Imperial Plate boots. And Now Black Mageweave. Not only the Draenei from Nya3's post, but also there is 3 pics of a Draenei ( A cute looking one ) at the screenshot wearing Black Mageweave.

My 67 female warrior wears these (or tuxedo pants) when not in action lolz... i take off shoulders/chest/weapon as well... kind of based the look on the Whitemane look :D They are pretty damn hot lolz... especially on human females and Draenei girls :D haha
