If you had to pick one item from the set not to get, this would be it. It's a nice enough piece, but it's not as good for DPS reasons as Battlemaster's Breastplate. You'll get Battlemaster's Breastplate before you get this and really after going to my character sheet on the Damage section there really isn't anything justifying the Fel Iron over it.

However if you don't have Battlemaster's this is a wonderful piece and I would strongly recommend that you grab it.

The set takes 32 Fel Iron bars, which is 64 fel iron ore... this is ofcourse not including the helm and Shoulders which match but are not actually part of the set.. The shoulders can be ubtained from the first instance in Hellfire. Hell Fire Citadel.

This set is only good to get your Blacksmithing skills up. The problem with this whole set is you get better armor from easy quests the second you get to Hellfire Peninsula. And therefore, useless you want to wear inferior armor, you can not give this stuff away, except to be disenchanted. I could not sell any of it even at 3-4gp, which was someone who probably bought for DE.
