As of patch 2.0.1 this helmet has been added to the Alliance Loot table

The Shaman item drop % is lowest because shaman only items will not drop for the Alliance. The same goes for Pally items -- the Horde will never see a Pally-only item drop for them. Since there are more alliance than horde, the drop percentage looks lower. However, if you only looked at the Horde percentages, it would be in line with all the other helms.

Please note that this exclusion only applies to items which are Shaman or Pally only. If they can be equipped/used by other classes, they will drop for both. That's why the alliance sees the Elements stuff drop fairly often.Shaman can easily outheal priests. It depends entirely on who is assigned what in a raid. A class that spot heals will generally outheal a healer assigned to a single target. When I get assigned to the MT, for instance, in the Sulfuron fight, my total healing falls way off compared to, say, a priest assigned to spot-heal rogues. However, when I'm assigned to heal groups during Shazz and the priests are on the MT, my healing goes way, way over that of priests.

From what I'm told, all T2 helmets drop from Nefarian now. I'm not sure about the rest of her loot table.

Yes, thats easily possible on vulnerable mobs or bosses on BWL.

Our mage made a 11k critical on one of the mobs what had the right vulnerability. And he is not in full Netherwind, so we can reach more :)

So with an Elemental shaman, you can reach that 9k critical with right gear.

Anyway, its better than other helmets, because its huge amount of stats, spellcrit, healup, dmgup, AND 2 schools of resistances.

And it looks very good... I just got it from onyxia, i put on Vodouisant's Vigilant Embrace (Shaman's ZG Enchant) and this helm is OWN ALL :)

For specifically healing, i think Earthfury helmet is still better A BIT, because of mana regen

But for over all, this is better.

whats up with all the set bonuses for Earthfury and Ten storms having healing bonuses... shammys dont really heal much they deal dmg. i dont get it.

a friend of mine told me that there might be a few modified stats when BG is implemented live on all the servers for this helm, especially spell crit on it as well, can't wait to see it if that actually happens :D

The Earthfury helm may be better for PvE but this is one of the best if not the best current Shaman PvP helm, it is also usefull for PvE just not as good as the earthfury one. Its also better for BWL than the earthfury one because it has shadow resistance

I really dont see how earthfury helm is superior. This has more ac, more spirit (crucial to end-game boss fights which play a huge factor if you able to get this helm), more bonus to spell dmg (Nature is arguably better than frost, but depends partially on talents), and more bonus to resists, fire being more important in this case too.

Yes, you lose 4 stamina. 40 hp doesn't save you from Onyxia's fire attack ;)

When is shadow resistance useful in BWL? Tanks don't ever need shadow resistance, they just need an Onyxia scale cloak. Nice try though...?
