You need to pick up the Brightly Coloured eggs (quite large and blueish) - not the tiny ones that are buried in the ground. They are all around the town you got the quest from. They open to reveal chocolate and perhaps a nice prize. I got a dress (got "Dressed for the Occasion" achievement) in one. The shells can be used for the daily "The Great Egg Hunt" which requires 20 cracked egg shells

Be prepared to "fight" for your eggs, was complete chaos in razor hill when i did this, I'm sure all the level 11's were quite surprised to find an army of 80's wearing bunny ears zooming around razor hill.

Of course the day the event starts the spawns will be mobbed... Wait until Wednesday or something the place will be much much less crowded. People are impatient.

Plus I would imagine Razor hill would be the most mobbed Horde spot... It is right outside the most popular Horde city... Go to Thunderbluff or Silvermoon's starting zones... They should be much less crowded.

I also don't understand why you would do this quest... When you accept the quest it gives you the basket... I don't see why you would spend 10 chocolate pieces to get what you already have.

This page says your reward is 7g 40s, but I looked at the quest text in-game and it says only 9s...?

i am in silvermoon city and i have no clue where to look. i got the quest from the ruins but there are no eggs there and the space is like 10 feet wide that i can use the special ability to go fast in........anyone have any clue where i am supposed to look?

This macro keeps track of how many Chocolate you have and opens any Colored Egg you have. Spam it to constantly use the Egg Basket for the movement speed increase!

The basket helps a lot for most characters. (By providing a speed buff)

However, if you are a Druid (Travel Form) or Shaman (Ghost Wolf), you have a definite advantage over the other players. You're low to the ground, so you can see under objects. It is much easier to click on the eggs first, if you are racing someone to an egg, since you can see around (or through, in Ghost Wolf) yourself. And, the only time you have to worry about your speed buff wearing off is if you get transformed into a bunny. Quick switch back, and you're in business again!

Also? A great tactic I've discovered is: in the standard, WASD movement setup, bind A and D to Strafe Left/Right, instead of turning. (Keyboard turning is for losers, anyway) Then, face a building, and strafe left or right along the building. Hold your left mouse button, to keep swinging your view around as you run beside the building. You will catch eggs which you otherwise might have missed, if you were looking ONLY in the direction you were running. Blizzard likes to hide eggs in little niches, and I've gotten dozens of eggs which other players have run right past.

On my Shaman? I get twice as many eggs as my Warlock. And I beat other players quite frequently, since their Egg Basket speed-buff may wear off, and give me just a bare instant more to click on an egg.

wanna give a warning to doing this quest. DO NOT EQUIP THE ACTUAL QUEST BASKET. ONLY EQUIP THE ONE U GET AS A REWARD. i equipped the quest one, and it completely overwrote my offhand item. my gm ticket for it still hasn't been answered

Where to farm? That is the question! Zones are mostly empty on the (Wrath) Classic servers and quite busy at Razor Hill and Goldshire on Retail. Each zone has its advantages and disadvantages for egg farming:

Horde:

Brill: Retail: Great variety of locations, most easy to find. A great place to farm. Wrath: Compact but the shrubbery is very heavily textured, making the eggs rather difficult to see as almost all the eggs are concealed in the bushes.
Razor Hill: Eggs are easy to see but you have a lot of running to do.
Bloodhoof Village: Some very devious / clever hiding of the eggs and a huge area to run around.
Falconwing Square: Compact and although attempts were made to hide the eggs, pnce you get a roll on you will zip through easily. Best for Horde!

Alliance:

Goldshire: Retail: Everyone comes here so respawns happen fast! No optimal route though. Classic: Eggs seem few and far between here.
Kharanos: Easy to see the eggs and your route will be a simple oval. A great location for Alliance, especially Classic!
Dolanaar: Eggs are mostly hidden in dense shrubs and there is a huge running area. Avoid!
Azure Watch: Compact, eggs are well hidden and there is no real optimal route.

Ideally you want a few other players with you as the respawns will come thick and fast and this situation is where Falconwing Square really shines. To see accurate maps (there aren't any here on Wowhead and indeed it is just not possible due to the imprecision of coordinates) I strongly suggest this AddOn by yours truly. It has almost every spawn point in every Classic and Retail zone too! Alliance? Toss-up between Goldshire and Kharanos with Goldshire shading it as its more social/fun.
