For those without coords: The Blood forge and Runeworks are on ground level inside Malykriss. For the other two locations you need to leap up the walls (bit by bit) until you're up on the walls surrounding Malykriss. Altar of Sacrifice is at the southern end and Icy Lookout is at the eastern end of the two walls visible on the map.

Worth noting that you don't need to use the lithe stalker to explore it, you can just use your normal flying mount and fly over the four places.

Back on track with the comments; I wish blizzard would make a daily like these quests, id much rather be able to jump 40yards and do errands or quest objectives with a Lithe Stalker than go to X spot and kill X of X mob. Standard dailies bore me silly.

another thing to add, you can leap to places in from mid air. so if you jump off a cliff, you can leap back up to it while falling, very fun quest :)

Throwing a rock at an Umbral Brute near other mobs (Skeletal Runesmiths was what I saw) can cause the Umbral Brute to charge at the Runesmith and then start a fight with him.

This little guy is pretty awesome, it's fun to sort of shimmy up the cliff walls. Also, you can fall very far and he won't get hurt so have fun doing suicide jumps. :D

Note that you can leave vehicle to instantly spawn at the Eye of Dominion, this causes a loading screen.

Leaping around was awesome. Using the throw rock ability one the Umbral Brutes to start a fight was ok but you can drag a bomb to an abomination and blow it up. The abomination will say "that's not nice" or "want me to deliver somewhere?".

Explored all of the areas and immediately exited the 'vehicle', I was then promptly kicked from the server, very strange. Could've been an addon conflict, however it's never happened until this quest.

You can speak to the Boneguard Commander, Lt, and Footman, but they respond as if it were your character talking to an actual neutral NPC. "Are you sure you're ready to fight me?" etc. Neat tho.

what a worthless quest, then again all of the mount quests are the same.
you don't kill anything so there is nothing to loot and no additional XP to be had.
you just waste the time it takes to hop your stupid mount around for a crappy quest reward.

I understand your point, tzpmrz, and I don't entirely disagree, but I would like to point out 2 reasons that mount quests aren't entirely worthless.

Just a couple quests before this one (at the Shadow Vault to open this quest line), you had to ride a skeleton dragon and kill 80 undead. Not all mount quests are no-kill. No gather and no Exp. maybe, but not no kill. It was actually fun, once I got into it. Some of these mount quests can be unique and entertaining, and worth doing for the entertainment value alone.

Besides, most people will run into this quest at lvl 80. They are probably doing daily quests (or raiding or dungeoning or whatever it is people do who play this game in roving packs). I play solo, so I do daily quests (and not even daily). I did this quest as filler on a day that I'd done everything else and still wanted to mess around a little. This quest is fine as a filler quest to get a little more gold. I'm saving gold for AH equipment, some of which is the best I can find since I only play solo. As for a physical reward, it isn't often that I'm doing a quest for the specific reward choice at the end. I almost always take the item of highest turn-in value. To play around with one of the leaping creatures for a few minutes, or even just to fly around for a couple minutes as the Stormcrow (Druid Swift Flight Form) to pick up 21 Gold 11 Silver, it seems worth it.

You don't even need to use the stalker if you have a flying mount. Just buzz the locations on your dragon or whatever.

[We need to know what we're up against.

Use the eye of dominion to assume control of a lithe stalker and scout out the area. There are a few spots in particular I saw when flying in that I want you to get a closer look at: the overlook in the northeast, the work area in the southeast, the large forge near the center, and the ritual area in the southwest.

The stalker can leap far and won't be hurt by large falls - use that to your advantage to get up and down from those ramparts.]
