Gondria is located in Zul'drak in Northrend for clarification and is a level 77 elite, so you must be at least level 77 to tame her. Also, she pounces on you, so place your trap at your feet when you go to tame her or tag her with an arrow and pull her into your trap before beginning to tame. I can confirm the 77.3,67.3 spawn as I located and tamed her in that spot. I have also seen her and can confirm the 62.5,62.1 location as I saw her there yesterday. She seems to be on a similar spawn cycle type to Loque'nahak in Sholazar Basin. In which case she would share a rare spawn cycle with the three other rare elites in Zul'drak, Griegen, Zul'drak Sentinel and Terror Spinner. Which also means that she could be spawning at 30 minute to 6 hour intervals, but this has yet to be confirmed 100%. Good luck fellow Hunters, she's a beauty! 8)

Just tamed this beauty an hour ago on AlÀkir- Eu .

can cofirm the the previus mentioned location . found mine at 62.5 , 62.1 at around 2:30 am

easy tame nothing fancy just drop a trap and tame away.

I found Gondria on the second night after the patch on Whisperwind server about 2 am. I had searched all night the first night until 6 am and nothing. Mine spawned at the 62, 62 point. Pic of myself and Gondria - renamed Gojira

I used this macro tied to a key bind while searching for him,

Great pet, the spectral version of my previous pet, Rak'shiri. He pauses for a second when he casts spirit strike then charges in leaving a smoke trail behind. Very fun to watch :)

I manage to snatch em today just southeast of Zim'Torga

at 62.5,62.2 he was walking in circles.

also is more likely he shares a timer cooldown with Terror Spinner cause 10 minutes later i found Spider at one of the not yet very known spawn point.

at 76.3,67.1 a very rare place for spider to spawn at since ive never seen her spawn in that place.

Was told about this version of the Spirit Beast, have had Loque'nahak for a long time and I like rare pets, so went out to get this one too. About 10mins after being told about the pet, I was in Zul'drak taming it.

Unlike taming other pets where you would put the trap between you and the beast, instead place the trap and stand right on it when you start to tame. He does a pounce like others said, its like the Druid Kitty charge. I was also being attacked by a bear at the same time, but was never interupted.

He leaves cool looking foot prints, like the DK mount and a puff of frost seems to explode from him giving him a sort of frosty spirit effect.

I was second on my server to get it, the first was another old school hunter who told me about the pet. lol

I summited some SS's, see if those get chosen :D

Tamed yesterday (4-17-09) on Spinebreaker Realm at 3PM ST after making circuits around his spawn points. I found him under his spawn point near the Altar of Har'Koa. As I didn’t waste time observing him before I started to tame, I don’t know if he pats or is a stationary mob, but my guess is that he stays put at his spawn point, much like Loque'nahak.

I used the simple macro of /tar Gondria and had my track beast activated.
Gondria is a neutral mob and shows up as a yellow dot on your minimap. This comes in handy since Gondria is very ghostly and I had a difficult time spotting him amongst all the snow and other mobs on my screen.

The tame itself went really well just tagged it, dropped a freezing trap, and started to tame. A few seconds later he was mine. Good luck to everyone trying to get this pet!

Oh. Another note, after he is tamed he is almost invisible with prowl activated. He is much more eye-catching with prowl off in my opinion.

Got the first one on Dalvengyr at 5:45pm just south of the Altar of Quetz'lun. I was the only hunter in the zone for most of the day, circling the spawn points and spamming my macro, when I saw the little yellow dot show up on my minimap where no little yellow dot had been before. Abandoned, dropped a trap right on me for his pounce and tamed with no problem.

It seems to me that he spawns a within a half hour of the 3 hours around the clock(12,3,6,9). But that could also be complete coincidence, or a result of the rolling restarts in the mornings. Hope that helps.

My name is Halcyre and I reside on Nordrassil EU.

I always blamed my bad luck on things, when it came to Humar I parked my hunter in a tree and checked every few days, and some days I'd find him already dead or not there. After nearly 2 weeks of scouting, He appeared and I was so excited, I finally tamed a rare.

Then there was Rak'Shiri, due to the Burning Crusades influence I was able to stalk this beautiful Cat without much competition and after only 3 days of riding around spamming macros I found her and tamed. Another beautiful rare.

When the first images of Loque’nahak appeared I saught it like many others, but competition for that beast was insane, every time I went into the Basin other hunters were flying around. So Instead I would let luck play me when I go there to level and instead saught the newly release Gondria.

The first night I flew around every few mins for about 2 hours and got bored, so I went back to questing for a while. Last night I was up till 6am patrolling Zul'Drak and taking a few mins to patrol Sholazar Basin. Even when there was nobody else in both places apart from one Belf hunter It was empty and I had both to myself. Yet Loque’nahak Never showed itself to me.

I logged off in Zul'Drak tired and determined that fate was going to laugh at me again, I dreamt of this cat it appeared to me in my Dreams but I dismissed them as Dreams.

Today, around 3:06 pm I idly flew around the points till I got to the last one, Behind the Altar of Har'Koa 67.2 77.2 I noticed a yellow dot on my map, my heart skipped a beat and I turned in flight to see the eluzive Gondria, I didn't have time to think. I landed quickly and dismissed my Cursed Offspring of Har'Koa and had to drag my Tame beast button down and fired one arrow.

She spun, angered by my attack I stood fast not from fear but determination her eyes narrowed slightly with a growl she batted the air in front as if to shoo me away. I did not waiver I waited for her to pounce, with a roar she lept forward and sank her cold fangs into me I felt the enfliction of Frozen Bite but regardless of the pain I slammed the Frost trap down and immediatly began to tame her. Frozen in the ice she looked livid ready to tear me asunder, as the last few seconds ticked by she broke free and bit me again, I perservered and within mere moments her coutenance cooled and she took up her place by my side.

(Wait till she attacks because she will pounce and drop the trap just as she lands, I got one hit from her then the trap went).

It was just in time too, just as the timer ticked down to 6 seconds another hunter came on the scene, I panicked hoping they wouldn't kill her as I heard stories about tames being interrupted by angry and spiteful people. Thankfully they did nothing but watch and congratulate me which is a relief. Goes to show there are still some nice people out there!

Tamed her (?) on the US-Velen Server @ approx 1:35 AM Sunday April 19th, 2009

I found her at 68.47 near the Altar of Mamtoth after 2 days of searching for her.
I was ready to turn in for the day after looking for her for hours. There were other hunters in the area that were also searching for her.

As others have previously stated, she is a neutral mob and thus appears as a yellow dot when a hunters beast tracker is activated. The macro I used that really helped was

/cleartarget
/target Gondria
/stopmacro
/script PlaySound("RaidWarning")
/run RaidNotice_AddMessage(RaidBossEmoteFrame,"THERE HE IS !", ChatTypeInfo)

The message of "THERE HE IS !" really helps because it comes across your entire screen much in the same manner as a raid warning. Very useful especially when you are tired after a long day of searching or merely gaming in general.

Spirit Beasts like Gondria and Loque'Nahak are Exotic so you will need the 51 points into Beast Mastery to tame I'm afraid.

I just tamed Gondria US-Azshara at about 3:20AM Server Time by the Mam'toth Crater where the globules are. I don't have exact coordinates but the spawn point does coincide with the map provided here.

One thing to confirm is that before I tamed him I killed Zul'Drak Sentinel earlier in the day. I then proceeded to cycle through his spawn points when I found Greigan (one of the rare spawns similar to Terror Spinner and Zul'Drak Sentinel). Killed Greigan and as soon as I did, I went to the Mam'toth Crater and tamed Gondria.

To say the least Gondria does not share a spawn timer with Terror Spinner, or Greigan. She may have an independent spawn timer from them.

Once word hit of this new spirit beast I've noticed tons of hunters searching for it (myself included) and, since alliance outnumber horde on Arygos by a rediculous number I figured my chances were shot; for every horde hunter in Zul'Drak I saw at least 2 alliance, one even dual spec'd and cheesed me over (jerk) ANYWAY...April 20th at 5:50 am (realm/local time) I decided to log in and fly rounds before work...hit the +/- 77,68 coord (by the windserpent altar) and there was the yellow dot. Dropped trap, commenced tame, got attacked by 2 icepaws (did not break tame btw) and now the 2nd spirit beast of WoW is getting levelled this evening after work!

To reiterate:

5:50 am
77,68 (ish)
Gondria spotted &tamed

Gondria was tamed by me on the second day of the new patch. I found him at 69,48 by the slimes at 0130 am CST just right before I was ready to log. I helped a friend get hers the other day and it was also just after 0130 but at another spawn point 62,42. Best bet is to be there at that time and get lucky. Awesome looking pet. Good luck!

Tamed on Friday April 17 at 10:27pm Eastern (9:27pm Server) on Wildhammer Server near the Blood of Mamtoth mobs at the crater. I believe I am the first to tame him on the Wildhammer server. He was at the spawn point to the east of the stairs by the blood of Mamtoth mobs. There was one other hunter looking for him but generally hovering over one spawn point. I was flying basically a large oval from the back of the temple Har'Koa, up to the the Temple of Quetz'Lun, across to the staris at the alter of Mam'Toth (where i found him), over the stairs to the opposite side, and then down to the Zim'Torga spawn point and back to the rear of the temple of Har'Koa. Spamming Macro the whole time which included /tar for Greigan, Terror Spinner & the Z'D sentinel so every three circuits I would head for their general areas just to see if they were up. I never saw any of them. Looks amazing and with the new dual spec and call stabled pet it's easier than ever to whip him out. Now I have both Gondria and Loque in the stable for a nice mix of eye candy.

Saw this beast coming in 3.1 and decided I was going to go after one for myself. Spent a few minutes getting my route planned for checking spawn points on the rares in the zone. Then I spent a few hours for a couple nights just flying around keeping an eye out. Here's how my search went...

1. Searched for any rares in a route around the zone and found none at the start.

2. 7:04pm server time I ran across Terror Spinner at the 74, 66 spawn point

3. 11:47pm server time ran across the Zul'Drak Sentinel just north of the Argent Stand approx. 40,55

4. 1:34am server ran across Terror Spinner again at 81,34

5. 5:08am server 4/20/09 on Silver Hand at 69,48 Gondria spawned just east of the stairs. I was sitting there chatting with a guildmate about my frustrations when all of a sudden directly in front of me he materialized. Dropped a trap stood on it and tamed away.

Just a note he is nearly impossible to see so as mentioned in others posts you need to have a mod, a target macro, beast tracking, or even health bars showing.

Previous announced taming was at 7:00pm (roughly) the day prior.

This would lead me to believe that s/he has a 24 hour respawn rate. Performed circuit of 5 possible locations, was different location thatn previous day.

Gondria tamed on US-Sentinels server by Sercewen at 8:19 pm 4/20/09 just outside Zim'Torga, approx coords 60, 60.

I'd been hanging around Zul'Drak for darn near most of the day, hadn't seen hide nor hair of him, so my guess is that 30 mins - 6 hours isn't accurate. I'd be more willing to accept closer to 20-24 hours, like Kwitch said, since I know for a fact that it was tamed at almost 10 pm the evening before. That'd be from Lockfist's comment above.

I have read forums and pages of ppl who tried to get this one after hours and days of camping without results, so i thought this would be impossible.

Today at 08:00 am i gave it a shot, patrolling all the spawnpoints for about an hour before work, then i thought. he wount appear, when i was about to log off, i said to myself, One last patrol could not hurt.

THERE HE WAS. around 09:20 at EU-Jaedenar i tamed him :)

im so lucky:D...but..i feel sorry for all the ones that camped him for many many hours and days,,,and that i had luck after about an hour..

Gondria was tamed 16/04/09 (5:00pm Caelestrasz server time) by a hunter behind the Altar of Har'koa. I thought this was a perfect chance to test the timer on this thing while I try to tame him as well. 17/04/09 - 12:30pm server time - (19hrs 30mins after it was tamed by the other hunter) I saw him spawn in the same spot! (at time of taming a friend killed the spinner so I think Gondria has it's own spawn timer and not linked to the other two rares in the area.)

Now this other hunter said she flew past and saw him already walking around. As there is quite a few hunters on both side camping for him he couldn't have been up for long. So that means, on my server Caelestrasz at least, he has over a 18hr spawn timer so far. Of course more tames and spawn sightings will either confirm this or destroy this spawn timer idea. Also it should be mentioned before both of us got him we were camping the old PTR spots - never showed in over 48hrs. (EDIT: I had a whsiper from another hunter today who tamed him at 3am just below Altar of Quetz'lun - so can now 100% confirm two new spawn points that are different to the known three PTR spawn points.)

I ran into one of the hunters in dal and made a screenie of us with our new pets.

Also there is no need to make /target macros anymore! There is a fantastic light weight addon called NPCScan - it's fantastic! It automatically hunts for all these rare spawns for you (it comes with a list already (Gondria is on it) and there is a option to add more) while you fly around. If it finds one your screen flashes red, a click button pops up in the middle of the screen and loud bongo drums goes off - you can't miss it. Completely replaces the macro /target button we spam like crazy. Fantastic tool for those who camp one spot and want to go away and do other stuff (like sleep) - just turn up your speakers.

Congrats to everyone who has tamed him so far and happy hunting to those who are still chasing.

I caught Gondria yesterday morning on Moonglade EU behind the Altar of Har'koa and beside Kolmaras (66.4, 78.4) with the help of a target macro, which I spammed while flying around the spawn points.

It took me two days to find Gondria and when I found her (it?), I let her do her pounce before I started taming her. I had no need for a trap, but my hp was pretty low once I managed to tame her. I am a level 80 hunter with a few epic gear, so that might have helped me survive, but laying a trap is a good idea just in case something goes wrong.

I caught her around half past 9 in the morning and I truly have no idea if the other Zul'Drak rare pops were up and going as well.

Tamed on Magtheridon US at coordinates 76,72 at 07:25 server time. Now I have to respec Beast Mastery for real and not just for pathfinding!

From what I guessed based on known spawn locations, Gondria will spawn and patrol all of the areas where you see cats and bears.

Tamed Gondria in Warsong-US at about 7:00pm server time. It was near the point 65.0,74.0 near Kolramas, right behind Altar of Har'koa. I felt real happy when I tamed him cuz I remembered the months in Sholazar basin looking for Loque'Nahak (With no success).

Just a thing. If you're not a hunter, don't kill Gondria cuz he is not in the Frostbitten Achiev. Give a hunter the chance to tame it.

Never posted the day of tame, but I got her 6am EST 4/20 on Azuremyst. Only two known tames so far, mine being first Horde. Haven't had this many whispers since I introduced the server to the Spectral Tiger mount lol
Great effects on this model, goes nicely with the mount. It actually uses the same sounds as the mount, which is neat. GL campers! :D

I just tamed her on the Andorhal server. I don't know if I am the first Horde or not, but I know there is an alliance guy out there with one. She was tamed at 5:27 am server time, behind the Altar of Har'koa.

We flew into Zim'Torga to do some mapping and my boyfriend went afk, so I thought what the heck I'll take a look at the spawn points while I wait. Had him tamed and was back at the flight master before my boyfriend came back. = )

Hey. You guys want to hear a funny and depressing story? :) Thought so. Ok. So I just found out about Gondria. My first thought was "OMGMINE", because it looked like my beloved Rak'Shiri, only ghostly. I never really liked the Loque skin(dont shoot me please..), so I went from being BM in BC to survival in Wrath. I like my surv spec, so I went and scrounged up 1k gold from all my toons to dual spec dear ol hunter. So, I went out to zul'drak after i found a spawn map here. At the time all i had was an epic ground mount, so it took me forever to get from spot to spot with all the aggro. After about 2 hours, i got lonely, so I drug my boyfriend and his rogue over and he tagged along, looking for other rares. We started at the Crater spawn point and went counter clockwise among the others. When we get back to the Crater, I see this huge, ghosty, glowy, amazingly gorgeous rare spawn patting right infront of my face. so, without a word to said rogue, I abandoned the bear I picked up, laid a trap and started taming..... only one problem.. it said not tamable.. So I started to panic. Rogue was busy killing the adds that I aggro'ed.. but when they were dead, all was left was him, me, and the rare.. I tried telling him to stop, but he started killing her anyway, with me not knowing what I did wrong to not start taming her. By this time I was crying, and Gondria was roaring, and the rogue was slashing away. The poor thing died, and then I started sobbing. The rogue was happy.. before I started explaining why I didnt help kill her. Turns out I hadnt switched from survival to beast mastery.. Then he felt horrible, bought me an epic flying mount, and is helping me with the new, long camp of Gondria.. How messed up is that..

Learn from my mistakes.. never take a kill happy rogue around a rare that doesnt look tamable, and always make sure you're in your right spec..

That was about 5 days ago. Havent seen her since. I refuse to give up, though. It looks like camping araga all over again.. But I fonally got her, so Im keeping my hopes up.

And the funny thing is that only by standing in dalaran for like 10minuter, i got tons of whispers about how great she looks and gratz me for it....hehe..ppl like going for their destiantions with their mounts in 100miles per hour..then se my beautiful pet..and hit the breaks :P

I dont have good gear, some blues some greens and a renged epic..not so proud of my char yet...But one thing i am damn proud over is my pet Gondria

Edit: yes..it is easier to get becouse its not a part of a achivment, so tis not as "rare" as Loq, butso far i seem to be pretty alone with one om my server. So i feel pretty Uniq at the moment.

I hope not everyone will have one in a couple of months

Tamed this beauty on the Durotan server at approx. 2:24 a.m. at coords 62, 42. Thursday morning. The last known spawn before mine, was 3:35 a.m. Wednesday. Looks like it has a 20-24 hour spawn timer after reading through the posts.

The first thing I did was make sure I tagged him, and boy did I almost overdue that one. I was so nervous when i saw him, I sent my cat in to tag and concussive shot him, and I forgot to abandon my old kitty until I accidentally ended up getting Gondria down to 1/3 HP. lol What I would have done if i killed him. He also ended up breaking my freezing trap, most likely because my old cat was attacking him, but I'm not sure my heart was beating too fast. But was successful in taming him without the need of the trap.

Just tamed Gondria on Andorhal (7:37 am server time). I logged in at the Mam'toth crater spawn site and flew over the stairs. She/He was walking around 63.41. My "npcscan" addon flashed like it was supposed to, dropped trap, tamed, done.

Anyone on Silver Hand tamed him yet? I'm thinking the Hordes are just getting really lucky (which is frustrating :p ) So far I have been checking every 10hrs, 15hr, 20hrs as they seem to be the most regular spawn timers.

Can anyone confirm, does it sound like Loque? I've seen youtube fottage that it attacks like Loque but it had no sound. I like the idea of a quite killer.

Also can people please stop giving other posts that list the exact coords and time a negative rating, since this is a fairly new spirit beast I for one am finding all these coords and timers VERY insightful.

I downloaded NPCScan and it is a handy feature to have. Also helped me get Time-Lost Proto Drake. It's always on so no matter what zone you're in it'll find a rare for you if it's there. Unfortunately I haven't seen Gondria yet (QQ)

Just tamed him at 8:00PM EST (5:00PM Server) on the Bronzebeard-US Server at the steps near the Zol'maz Stronghold.

As said before, standard tame: frost trap, tame beast, wait.

Only problems I had was the Icepaw Bears that were near it and the roaming Guardian of Zim'Rhuk. Other than that, pretty decent tame and my first spirit beast.

Friday I ran into Waruy on the Draenor Realm, I had "Linque'Nahak" out and he came and showed me he had tamed both Loque and Gondria. I had been orbiting the known spawns when I had time. Waruy told me he had tamed Gondria at 5:45 P.M. server at the 62/42 location.

This morning (25 Apr 09) I was reading the comments here and decided to try NPCScan, went to the website, downloaded and installed it, added Gondria to the list.

At 5:15 A.M. they restarted the server, I was back in by 5:20, I orbited until 6:45 server to no avail. Talked with Dragonett, another hunter, about finding and taming Gondria, I think Dragonett also installed NPCScan.

My guild was going to do some Pre-BC and BC raids on a lark, but it never developed and at 5:00 PM server my egg from the Oracles cracked. I hearthed to Dalaran, got "Aged Yolk" which I threw away, and flew to Sholozar for a fresh egg.

I had been using the black DevilSaur (from UnGoro Crater), which was the pet I was going to abandon to tame Gondria, but having used him the past couple days I decided to drop my Quetz'lun windserpent instead. I flew from Sholozar to Zim'Torga and swapped to the Wind Serpent at the Stable Master in Zim Torga.

I then flew East from Zim'Torga and NPCScan bought up the "Gondria" Icon so suddenly it started me. I had to summon the windserpent to dismiss it, and I actually watched Gondria for a minute to see how he prowled before I set a Ice Trap down and started the tame.

From where I first located him he walked about 10 paces East/West that was his range, I watched him pace back and forth several times.

I dropped an Ice Trap and hit the tame beast button, he ran towards me, hit the trap and the tame completed before the trap broke.

My little brother has been dead for more than 20 years, but today is his birthday, so look for Lynkyn with Jefferson on Draenor.

Tamed at 5:42 P.M. server Coords 61.70 / 63.05 just East of Zim'Torga.

Just tamed it on Caelestrazaz at 4:35pm server time.
Near the stairs at about 62,42. Didnt need the macro as I saw a yellow dot on the minimap and then she popped into view. Other comments are correct though. She's very difficult to see on the snow.

Spent hours looking for it last night and no luck. Went for a quick fly over today and immediately saw it.

The intially starting of the tame was easy. Trap,pull,tame. Didnt pounce. But it was a close call because I had a bear hitting me at the same time and also an alliance hunter came along and started shooting Gondria. Originally I though the hunter went for the bear but in the combat log, she was tried to break the tame. Silly me for thinking that someone would help. Hunter died from a long fall and the tame succeeded

Can understand why though. Spend ages in one spot waiting for spawn only for someone else to get it in a different spawn location after a being there for a couple of minutes.

I've finally got her today on Wildhammer-EU @ 12:00pm server time and coords 67,77 right behind the Altar of Har'koa.

Ive started to search for her in the beginning of the week but nothing so serious, just a casual fly sometimes over the spawn points. On Tuesday i found Terror Spinner and killed him at 6:05pm, his body despawned @ 6:07pm. To kill him, i called my Loque'nahak so i got 30 min on call stable. I tought to myself "She dont will spawn in less than 30 min, ofc" - I was wrong. At 6:25pm i found her at 67,77, and my call stable was still with 10 min cooldown. I sat near her waiting the cooldown to go out so i could put Loque on stable and Tame her, and at the same time praying to no other hunter pass over there at that moment. UNLUCKY me, when was about to 3 min cooldown another hunter came and tammed her on my face. I couldnt do nothing than cry inside and tell Gratz to him. (I'm not the kind of person that kill, i think is smart if i just let him take it so will be less one hunter flying around to minimize my chances).

Today i promised to myself that i was going to tame her at all costs. So I`ve found out that another hunter that was camping all day long tammed her @ 2:30pm. Ive started my camping at 00:00am, flying over all the spawn points non-stop. 03:40am some lvl 77 paladin told on general that Zul Drak Sentinel was walking around, so ive teamed up with him and killed the sentinel, letting the loot for him once what i wanted was Gondria's spawn.

According the spawn times of Sholazar Basin, the 3 rares share time on spawn, when one die or is tamed, the next can spawn from the moment the corpse despawn til next 6 hours. Its not precise. It can be at any moment inside this limit. So i thought to myself maybe the rares in Zul Drake have the same criteria, lets try and see. I was still flying over all spawn points non-stop and at 09:40am (exactly 6 hours after i killed Zul Drak Sentinel) i went out of the route of Gondria spawn to try to find another rare. I found Terror Spinner and killed him at 09:45, with body despawning at 09:47. So i thought to myself: IF is according the other day i killed Terror Spinner, the next spawn will be Gondria, and she can spawn at any moment from now to next 6 hours. So i came back to my route and keep my fly non-stop over spawn points. I knew she could be spawning up to 15:47pm, when the 6 hours limit ended. When was 12:00pm exactly i flew over Altar of Har'koa and found her there, just had spawned that moment, once i've past there 2 mins before and there was nothing. So i've tammed and i'm a happy hunter now dieing without sleep all night long and to be sat 12hours non-stop trying to find this cat :P

Resuming, What i found out about it is:

Spawn Order of rares in Zul Drak:

Zul'Drak Sentinel > Terror Spinner > Gondria > Griegen

When you kill one, the next can spawn from the moment the body of the rare before despawn til next 6 hours, at any moment.

I've used the help of macro to target her and _NPCScan addon to find her and the other rares, and was with my track beasts on.

I hope it helps everyone to hunt and tame Gondria with some more precise informations :)

Caught him at the 63, 43 spawn point, so excited I forgot to screenshot it. I am however, uploading some decent shots of him in Crystalsong Forest, he does look slightly pinker than he does in the pictures here, so if you don't want a pink pet, I'd say don't tame him.

Please, make a macro, it makes things so much easier. Especially nice if you use one with a sound that plays when you target something. The one I used was something like this:

I spazzed in gchat, dropped down, called my cat Mogget away and tamed Gondria.
He's now working his way up to 80 and will be my Soloing/Heroics (Beast Mastery) pet. Using Mogget for when I'm Marksmanship Specced.

Just tamed this beaut on Muradin server at 11:40am. I found her on the left side of the stairs right in front of Altar of Mam'toth. Cords (69.6,48.4) I used multiple things to help me catch her, though most of it isn't really needed. Track beast was one where she will appear as a yellow dot.

Was the Macro that I used. If using this macro make sure you're not targeting anything else. Also make sure you put your name in and remove the brackets.

I found Gondria behind the Altar of Har'koa, near the stairs. I've been helping a friend look for it for a few days, and I spotted it tonight around 3am server time, on Kirin Tor. Unfortunately although I woke my friend up with the good news, she was more interested in sleep. Which makes sense. She gave me her blessing to do with it as I wished. I figured it came down to an achievement or a nifty new pet. I chose the pet.

My advice to fellow hunters who manage to find and/or tame this beast: Think up a name worthy of this pet. It's such a shame to see them running around Dalaran with names like Fuzzybawls and Kittykitty.

All in all Gondria doesn't hit very hard as a mob. I kited it around for a while and it took a long time to do any significant damage to me. When I finally settled on taming it, I got through 90% of my taming spell before the trap even wore off. Since it's a neutral mob, you can set the trap anywhere you like. Just in case it came out of the freeze with a mind to disrupt my tame, I let my trap cool down most of the way before I tagged it so I could place another in between. Never needed to do that, but it's a good precaution.

Happy hunting! It's a beautiful pet. My boyfriend is happy I'm not running around with a "boring cat" anymore.

Well I spent pretty much all day yesterday looking for this guy. At 7 am I checked his spawn points, then checked for other rares. Found Zul'drak Sentinel and killed him. At 11 am, I found Terror Spinner. I devoted the rest of the night to flying around hoping he'd be the next to spawn. Finally at 7:25 pm I had to call it quits and get ready for my raid in 5 mins. Raid didn't happen because we didn't have enough people, so I came back to fly around some more. I asked in general at 7:45 pm if anyone had seen any rares. I got a whisper saying "you mean the tiger? i killed him 30 mins ago." FML. Apparently he was killed around 7:15 pm, when this HUNTER landed at Zim'Torga. Out of all people, I would not have expected a hunter who was lucky enough to see him, kill him.

Maybe I'll be lucky and get him today soon as servers come up. But I think I'll just stick to checking early each morning in hopes he'll be spawned.

Just tamed her at 67,77 on Shadowmoon-TW server at 1:40am (+8GMT).
After being frustrated for sitting out raids for 3 nights straight on my rogue (yea, my RL hates rogues) and spending the time fishing hoping for the sea turtle (no sign of it after 300ish casts, naturally). I've decided to call for a break and went on a PUG VoA, it got even worse when we had a few wipes and the timer ran out.
Getting frustrated, I've decided to do a routine check around the spawn point and afk there till daily reset (at 3am), I was so surprised when the _NPCScan called out for Gondria, I was so nervous that I forgot the drop the freezing trap when I attempted to tame it. Best gift I could get to forget all those frustration =)

I've been looking for it since 3.1 hit (which was a week later than the US servers), spending around 12hrs per day checking the spawn points. There had been server restarts every night for the first few days and it really disrupted the spawns. I've killed Griegen 4 times (due to server restarts), Sentry twice, never seen terror spinner. I was really surprised how nervous I got after claiming 2 TLPDs, Loque and King Krush. But it's definitely worth the camp, GL to all you hunters still looking for her!

I missed Gondria today by a few minutes but found something that could be interesting :
I was patrolling Zul'Drak to see if any rare had spawned when suddenly my macro picked up a target just north of Drak'Tharon : it was Zul'Drak Sentinel. I quickly landed and dismounted, called my gorilla and killed the Sentinel. I looted the corpse and took off on my flying mount heading east to look for the next rare according to miauzinha's spawn order : Terror Spinner.

(Zul'Drak Sentinel > Terror Spinner > Gondria > Griegen)

But as soon as I took off I saw a hunter boasting in the general channel that he had just tamed Gondria ! I asked him where he was and quickly flew there : he was next to Mam'toh's crater (69.48) with his new pet. He told me that he saw Gondria spawn and that he was lucky that the alliance player camping above was AFK =)
He is now a happy hunter !

I think that Gondria spawned exactly when the Sentinel's corpse despawned which means that Gondria effectively shares a spawn timer with the other rares (and that the spawn order is wrong or random).
But if I'm wrong and Gondria spawned before I killed the Sentinel then she might be on her own spawn timer not related to the other rares.

My search has come to an end (thankfully) after 8 days of searching. Tamed on Madoran last night at 3:02am server. I wanted to share my experience of events leading up to the tame. I firmly believe rares share the spawn timer.

Starting Monday night before the servers went down for maintenance, I found and killed Sentinel at 2am server time. Waited until servers went down, and no spawns of any rares. Logged in when maintenance was over on Tuesday morning, first looked for Gondria for about 15 minutes. When I didn't find her I patrolled for other rares. Found and killed Griegen at 1:30pm server time. Waited for Gondria for one hour before giving in to sleep.

At 8:13pm server, found and killed Terror spinner. that's 6 hours and 42 minutes after killing Griegen. Waited. Seemingly forever. Found at the 62,62 location and tamed 6 hours and 45 minutes after spinner spawned. It is possible another rare had spawned between the two but the timing makes me wonder. I hadn't even seen Gondria at all in the 8 days of looking prior.

I am fairly certain the timers are random, and perhaps some servers experience longer spawn times, I'm not sure. I'm just glad it's finally over. Wishing you all the best of luck in your hunt!

Just tamed my Gondria today 4.29.09 at around 11:30pm Frostwolf server. Just finished raiding Ulduar and decided to do a quick check, lo and behold there he was, on the southwest corner of the crater. I yelled out loud in vent and in guild chat. Thanks to the people who recommend NPCScan, it picked him up right away. Good thing it was later in the evening and there was no horde around.

Landed, dismissed my farming cat, dropped my trap, tagged him, hit concussive shot and started to tame. Had some mobs go at me while I was taming but didn't get my health too low.

Now I'm trying to level him so I can use him in raids. Got lucky with this tame.

Tamed Gondria on Thrall-US @ server time 5:43am, coords 69,48 (Crater area) on Thursday, April 30th 2009.

Prior to that, I had killed Terror Spinner at server time 5:20am, coords 77,42 and its corpse despawned at 5:22am.

So that's 21 minutes later that Gondria had been tamed after the despawn of Terror Spinner's corpse. I had just flown over the tame location approximately 5 minutes prior to taming Gondria and it had not yet spawned at that time.

I've been using the addon "_NPCScan" which was of great help in finding the other three Rare-Elites during the several days I spent searching and also have had Track Beasts enabled, however I had not added Gondria to the list for _NPCScan, so it wasn't detected by the addon. To add Gondria to the _NPCScan list, type /npcscan and enter its name and NPC ID which is "33776" (without the quotes.)

Also used the following macro bound to the 'wheel up' action of my mouse:
/cleartarget
/tar Gondria
/tar Griegen
/tar Zul'drak Sentinel
/tar Terror Spinner
/tar Spirit Beast
/stopmacro
/script PlaySound("RaidWarning")
/run RaidNotice_AddMessage(RaidBossEmoteFrame,"Found!", ChatTypeInfo)
In this macro, I added the line "/tar Spirit Beast" to the original macro posted by the user darkfy, which would also help to locate Gondria in the event of already being tamed by someone else.

In the end, finding Gondria was a simple matter of just spotting by sight, I hadn't even looked at my minimap before Gondria's yellow name stuck out like a sore thumb.

330am server time-0630 EST,on a us realm -lethon training rare pets for me are like a drug.When i first heard of loque'nahak,i did everything i could. I actually leveled 2 toons to 80 because i refused to take my hunter out of shalozar basin until i had tamed the beatiful spirit pet! finally after almost three months and about 1400 bars of saronite mined and about 400 eternals of all elements,lol,i found him! YES! NO MORE HUNTING! Then the dreaded day came when i was on petopia and found a new spirit pet was seen on a test realm server and woud be available on the next patch. i made a promise to my self that i wouldnt be that obsessed with this one,and trust me it worked... k, the biggest differences with loque and gondria 1.. that there really isnt much in zuldrak other then herbs,and very little mining.,so not many people are there,noone wants to spend all day in a place that they cant get waste all day and come out with nothing 2...loque,you have to fly all over shalozar basin to all these diffent spawn points,and if you dont have an epic flyer then u are screwed anyway,lol,gondria,you have maybe 2 minutes of flying(loved that part!) and the most important difference.....NO ACHIEVMENT FOR HIM! the acheivment is what kills loque'nahak,not bm hunters looking for a new pet for their collection! I caught my cat at the southwest part of mammoth crater,and i wish everyone the best of luck,this guy is soooooooo much easier to find then loque'nahak,and one word to all other classes,if you are not a bm hunter,before you kill for the piece of *!@# drops he drops,please take a second to see if there are any hunters around that can tame,since hes just a kill for you and nothing else. good hunting! oh by the way i have seen questions about where in mammoth crater,since its so big,if you go just on the other side of the big stairs, while tracking for beasts..hes just on the other side

Tamed her today just after she spawned in front of me south of Zim'Torga (62.62) at 17h20, exactly 23h30 after she spawned and got tamed by another hunter (see my previous comment).
It's now my turn to be very happy ;)

Tamed her(him? I sure wish someone had some lore on this cat.) at the Zim'torga location at 2:15 am server on Frostmane. Letting you other hunters know so that you can plan its timer.

S/he was also tamed the day before between 8:30-8:45 pm server the previous day, so I'm thinking s/he has about an 18-20 hour spawn rate.

Here's a polite note for hunters who camp hunters who are looking for rare spawns. Don't. Do. It.

Edit: I used NPCScan. If I hadn't, I would have flew right past even with a target macro. The loud drum alert woke me out of a sleep-deprived daze. =D Thanks NPCScan. Also here's a tip; when you download the addon, Gondria is not listed so you have to add him. After you add him, make sure to close WoW and delete the cache file in the WoW folder. DOn't worry, this is not a bad thing. WoW will make another Cache file when you log back on. Works great.

Edit: Whoops. Posted the wrong server initially, as I momentarily had a mass brain cell death.

WOOT FINALLY TAMED HER!

Spent all day Monday looking for her, prob about 14 hours. Spent Tuesday afternoon looking for her as well. Wednesday spent almost all day logged on in the area, but was afk for some doing homework and getting other things done.

Well today I checked this morning, and was logged in the area all day. Tonight my guild decided to do 25 man vault first, and I was saved so I was sat. They took the same raid to Ulduar, so I didn't get in. Figured I'd go back and look for Gondria again. As I was flying around she just spawned outside of Zim'Torga at about 9:20 pm server. Dropped down, shot her, dropped my trap, and started taming. This was about 10 minutes ago and my heart is still pounding.

Been a long week looking for this, glad to get it done with! Time to go level.

BTW, US - Alterac Mountains. My characters name is Allison.

Found one with my girlfriend on Bloodscalp at 61.62 - after searching for 9 hours. It was worth because it's beautyful! I don't know if this helps.. but another rare elite was killed in Zul'Drak around 2-3pm, we tamed her at 9.30pm.

The facts: Northern Side of the giant staircase. About 4:45am server (Draenor) on May 2nd.

So I decided to go after Gondria....albeit casually, because I already have Shiva (Loque).

I stopped by Zul'drak a few days ago, flew around for 20 minutes or so and logged off. I thought I'd give it another try tonight and started camping at about 1:30am or so. For some odd reason I was the only Hunter alliance side in Zul'drak about 95% of the time I was there.

After 2 1/2 hours (4am) I took a break, got on my alt...browsed the Neutral Ah. Got on my main, browsed the Ah, bought some flasks, decided to go farm some herbs. So I got back on my hunter, Mew. It was about 4:20am.

I logged in at the spawn point south of Zim'torga and was promptly dismounted by a Snow Lepard. Killed that, took off with herb tracking on....farmed herbs for about 20 minutes whilst scanning the spawn points.

Decided I would take an AFK break at the spawn point on the north side of the stairs, so I could go wash out the pot I used to make dinner in and put up a pot of tea. It is now 4:40am.

Luckily for me my computer is in the kitchen. I was rinsing the pot when I glanced at the screen and barely made out what looked like a yellow dot on the mini map (I had put track beasts back on before I afk'd).

Another glance showed me this ghostlike purple apparation pathing next to an Icepaw Bear, thats when I had an o-*!@# moment and promptly landed abandoning my Offspring of Harkoa and tamed Gondria!

There was one other hunter in the Zone at the time. You all are going to hate me...In total I spent maybe 3 hours searching for this spawn...I consider myself EXTREMELY lucky!

Time was about 4:45am server.

I can confirm the 77.3,67.3 spot i caught em this morning at that location around 8:30 am on sisters of elune. i had the NPCScan addon - didnt see it go off the first time but i noticed the marker for em was flagged so i went back to that spot and it went off, and i got my new kitty.

WOW ... Finally Gondria is mine

Well the story is that I was searching for this Wonderful Beast since two weeks ago for 8-10 hours daily, but did nt have the pleasure to meet her. Yesterday I was filling up spots for 25OS raid which I am leading when my Hunter Friend pst me and told me that Gondria is walking arroung Zul'drak ... lol what should I do ? I droped the raid group, changed to BM & disbanded my stupid, ugly Gorilla and flew directly to her location and there she is .. walking like a model with her beautiful and amazing body and beside her is my hunter friend with her spirit beast too, who she tamed her few days ago ... and BOOM ... she is mine :) Now she is in my stable along with Pam, Harkoa and Bodyguard (my other pets).

Trust me guys .... it worth staying up and looking for her :) SHE IS AMAZING

An observation after using him for a bit; stealth is kind of pointless. He moves forward enough to moonfire, then does that, breaking the stealth. Does anyone know if the 'first attack from stealth receives a 50% bonus' applies to spirit strike?

(edit) Yes, it does. Hits for around 190 normally, for 380 or so when stealthed.

Tamed on the 3.1.2 ptrs with a premade hunter, right to the west of mam'toth crater, easy tame, set a frost trap, clicked tame and i was the proud owner of the only Gondria on the test servers.

Tamed this girl today!. (4/5/09)

After about four days doing circles around her spawn spots, I was getting a little fed up. But it's always when you least expect to find her. I went on my lvl 80 Hunter just to have a look around Zul'drak, just on the off chance she was there - though I had almost given up hope.

I flew over the various spots until my NPC Scan addon (God send by the way!. Everyone should have it!) boomed its warning sign and lo and behold, it was Gondria!. I caught her at 77,69. Which is at the top of the rise of the large, wooded, snowy area in the south-easterly part of the tier. I have read this was quite a popular spot for her to be caught.

I am on Eonar, European server, and caught her at 13:16pm server time. I don't know when she first spawned there but it must have been only a half an hour or so before because I was looking for her the same morning.

If your thinking of giving up hope, don't!. She is one of only two spirit beasts. Rare and a beautiful pet to have. Odd's on, if you keep looking you will find her :).

I have renamed her Arínae - the Elvish name meaning 'Silver Whisper'.

Several hours/days into the hunt before spotted. I actually was getting ready to call it a night and decided to do one more fly by before leaving my toon logged there. When i hit the zone i had just switched from my other spec and had like no mana. Gondria was in the second zone spot i was to check and I had to take a mana pot when i spotted her before i could get the tame off. Thankfully i had a pot on me talk about a rush.

I can't confirm any of the other rare spawns in the zone and Gondria being linked. I can say that i spent several days doing zone fly bys trying to see if any other rare's were up. I never did see another rare in the zone. The many hours of hunting are worth it.

npcscan was super helpful. I highly recommend that addon for this hunt. Make sure to clear your cache directory often. npcscan will alert of the rare if another hunter is close by that had it tamed. It also doesn't reset if it does find an npc in the list unless you clear your cache directory. Good luck to all.

On my server (Argent Dawn) I frequently see people on their flying mounts, camping over Heb'Drakkar, to the right of the big stairs.

Is there any information on why this is the best place to camp? I've seen several hunters now just flying in place over that point.

Actually she was close to about 3 of those oozlings,
but stayed on the snow, not into the crater.

Just tamed him(?) at 62.41 in Zul Drak at 13:00 server time after a previous nights server maintenance.

Spirit Beast was patrolling near the steps and was neutral. When I dropped down from my mount and tamed, a bear close to both of us aggro'd on him and started attacking the spirit beast. Once the beast was in the ice trap, the bear switched to me. Luckily he didn't interrupt my taming and now I have my 1st spirit beast. One down, one to go.

From the description on wowinterface.com, it states

You can clear the mob cache by quitting WoW and deleting the Cache sub-directory in your WoW directory.

So, just like NPCscan, you need to clear your cache the next time you come across the mob you're looking for, or someone's pet that happens to be the mob you are looking for.

Got Gondria today at 7:40 AM server time at Hellscream on coörd 69,48( west of mam'toth crater). Found her after 6 hours of search on my DK and logged fast as i could on my hunter and tamed her. She's very beautyfull and worth the search, even Ahab a tauren hunter cheered at me (dreanei hunter) :D. Good luck on other hunters and don't give up :)

Have probably only spent a handful of hours randomly checking the zone throughout the day. Nothing like the time spent trying to get Loque (still haven't).

Beautiful pet though, and I'm glad to have her in my stable!

Still can't figure out her spawn cycle.

She's not linked to the other elites, since she spawned like 20 minutes after i killed geigen.
If you are searching for her don't base spawn times on the other elites.

Tamed mine a couple of weeks ago, early morning around 4:30am server time, at coordinates 69.6, 48.6. It was close to the Altar of Mam'toth by a bunch of those glowing eyed cats.

My advice. If you can, try looking for it early in the morning. I've been able to find a lot of rare pets in the past at these times when the server is quiet. Use the macro and watch the mini map. It'll appear as a yellow dot. Sometimes your heart skips a beat the moment you see a yellow dot and it turns out to be a different mob. It's a real bummer but exciting at the same time.

For me, the dot appeared a split second before my macro targeted the cat. I just knew it was Gondria.

Tamed at 01:35 (63,43) on Aggramar EU, less than 10 mins after a friend of mine tamed Loque, and was on his way to show off to me!

Not sure if this blows the theory of same spawn timer, or the min time between possible spawns!

Tamed Gondria at 69, 76 on Gul'Dan at 10:00p server time. 6 total hours of searching over about a week (about an hour a day).

Used NPCScan to find her although she shows up yellow on track beasts and is the only one in the area. Didn't really need it but it did help me find two of the other rare spawns in Zul'Drak: Griegen and ZD Sentinel. The theory is only one rare spawn can be up at a time in the same zone. If I couldn't find Gondria in her usual spots, I'd search for the others, kill them then see if she'd spawn.

After killing ZD Sentinel, Griegen spawned within 30 minutes. I stuck around for another hour, but couldn't find another rare spawn that day.

Tamed her on Hellscream at 9:10 server time, loc was 63,42, which jives with the maps here.

She does show up as a yellow dot instead of red while tracking beasts, as mentioned below. I was being attacked by a non-elite bear the whole time while taming her, but had no issues otherwise -- freezing arrow and Tame and then she's mine. Can't say enough how sweet looking she really is. Screen shots don't do her justice.

Today, I was again circling Zul'drak without much hope of seeing this beautiful animal. Been days since I installed NPCscan, but it never picked her up. I approach the spawnpoint at the west side of the stairs, when suddenly I see a yellow dot on my map. Before I can check if its really Gondria, BOOM NPCscan goes off and sure enough...it is her. The adrenaline rush was amazing. Hands shaking, heart pounding, pulse racing.

I quickly dismount, have enough presence of mind to put my Warp hunter away. 'Remember to put down trap!' was running through my mind. I start the tame, and she jumps in to attack me, but of course end up in a solid ice block. I know she wants to sink her teeth and claws into me, probably turn me into pulp. The bonding seems to take forever, but finally she gives in. I named her Shalla, presumably the Darnassian word for Shadow. I thought it was fitting, somehow.

To everyone who are still looking for this beautiful cat....do not give up! She is very much worth the effort :)

I started at exactly 00:00 in my search for this beautiful pet... Nine hours and 15 minutes later, I finally found it at 78.70. It took nine freaking hours, but it was totally worth it! This pet is gorgeous. <3

But yeah, further proof of that it can take longer than 6 hours to respawn, because I checked and there were no sights or kills of it while I was looking for it. I also checked the other three rares sometime in the middle of my search, but none of them were up. So I think this pet is on a separate respawn timer, of 6+ hours.

Tamed this lovely lady on Saturday, May 9th at 9:18 AM server time on Kargath Server.

I found her with little to no looking, just thought I would go scope out spawn points and camp later on, but as I was flying by the left side of the stairs near Mamtooth Crater, I saw a "purplish" mob. Clicked over and sure enough, it was Gondria.
Quickly laid a frost trap and tamed her without any problems.

A guild friend also tamed this girl about 8 PM server time the evening before, and another friend later that evening.

I must have got lucky, because I farmed for 6 weeks with Loque and this one was just "there". I am now the proud owner of both gorgeous spirit beasties.

Oh....I choose to rename her "Ethera".

Tamed on Whisperwind (US) at approximately 8:40 PM on May 11th. I killed the spider rare approximately 2 1/2 hours prior and had been cruising between the spawn points for a few hours. Finally caught him near the northernmost spawn location. I've noticed in the comments that there have been quite a few reporting tamings around 8:00-9:00 server time, both AM and PM.

NPCFind was invaluable - just make sure you manually enter the NPC name and ID since by default, the addon doesn't search for tameable rares.

On a side note, I'm hoping blizzard will up the DPS of these BM-only pets - from the reports I've heard, generic wolves are still doing better damage. It seems to me that if you bother to take the BM culmination-talent, you ought to have access to clearly superior pets in terms of DPS (marks and survival draw DPS from other sources). I do like how these cats have the 'Spirit Strike' ability - now it just needs to be better.

Tamed Gondria this morning around 3am server time on Dethecus - right before server maintenance (Talk about LUCK!) She was located at 77,71. I'm not sure if I passed over her several times before she finally loaded onto my screen, or if she just happened to spawn the last time I passed that area. Just like Loque'Nahak, she is NEUTRAL, so her name will be in yellow, and she will not attack upon first seeing you. Keep this in mind in case you are using a macro to find her - don't give up because you never see a red target. As others have mentioned before me, put a frost trap right at your own feet, shoot, and untarget right away. She'll pounce onto you, so if you move away from the frost trap, she'll never hit it.

At level 79, I accidentally shot her twice - once after she was trapped - but managed to survive long enough for the cooldown to pass and I could re-trap.

There was absolutely NO competition for her. This was the second day I have seen her in a row, at the same time (6am eastern time - when I wake up for work). The first day, another hunter had just tamed her and hearthed out. This time, it was me who got lucky. Both times, she was in the same general area. I have not spotted her in any other area yet.

Also like Loque'Nahak, this beast will moonfire targets. She can use growl, but she can't hold aggro as well as my orange tiger from Stranglethorn Vale. Upon taming she had 19 talent points to spend, and 10,599 health. Walking around any major city, even for a few minutes, usually ends with tons of questions about her, as not many people know about it yet. In prowl mode, she's virtually invisible against any background (even dark places like caves and such). My party members couldn't even see her at first.

Eats the same thing as other cats - uncooked meats and fish.

After weeks of tracking this pretty kitty tamed her at 6:30am server time, on Alleria.
LoL as everyone else said, you get soo excited you almost have an accident. But what a pretty kitty. And sooo worth the wait. She was up by the big tree on the grizzly hills border. At 77.0/70. Don't bother with the macros, just download npcscan works great, only problem I find with it is having to leave game and clear cache after being in dalaran, when you run across someone that has tamed her. I hope this information helps people with deciding the times of spawns as I have seen varying spawn times.

I was coming over from Storm Peaks doing a quest and swooped low over the spawn points near the Icepaw Bears were that was close to the border of Storm Peaks. Terror Spinner was there. Least I'm pretty sure that's what the name of the second rare spawn is. I killed it and took off.

I let some time pass and did the rest of my quests, went and made coffee and came back to Zul'Drak parking my Blood elf behind in Zim'Torga.

11:45pm on 5/14/09
I decided what the heck and lifted off on my red dragon scanning over the eastern spawn points. Nada. Swung over towards Mam'toth and saw nothing as well. Flew over the stairs and swooped low and low and behold, there was Gondria. Right against the stairs on the Storm Peaks side. Tamed and now the proud owner of my second Spirit beast.

Maybe this was an odd coincidence, but it seems that the spawn timer MAY be shorter. I mean, Gondria was there 3 hours and fifteen minutes after I killed Terror Spinner.

I hope this information will be helpful to the other hunters.

15-5-2009 Well, finally after a week I have this beautyful cat in my stable. I encountered it at 6:05 AM in EU-Los Errantes, about an hour after killing Terror Spinner, that I casually encountered about 5:00 AM whem Im searching for Gondria. I finally encountered it at southeast of the altar of har'koa, near the stairs. I simply unmounted, killed a couple of black cats that are in te area, dismissed my provissional cat, placed a ice trap in front of me an tamed it without any problem.

Now is time to level it and probe its damage in a raid...

The spawn cicle seems to have some relation with the other rares as commented in earlier posts, its so much coincidence that I managed to tame it the first day that I killed another rare in the area...

Wow. What a rush! Found Gondria today at 2:30 PM on Rexxar (US). The npc scan mod is wonderful. I would do a loop, play a game of Peggle, and repeat. Pulled up my game of Peggle and the alarm went off. She was at the Alter of Mam'toth. Good luck to all those in search. :)

Just found Gondria at 68,77. Was flying around on my druid looking for her for my friend. He's been mad since I got Gondria on my hunter, since I had both spirit beasts and he had none. I tagged Gondria and slept her until he was able to fly to me and tame her.

Found her at the start of my 2nd loop, since the first time around I didn't have my macro out on my bars yet, and I just got the new NPCscan and wasn't sure if it was working. So either I missed her first time around, or she just spawned. Either way, was perfect timing.

Tamed at 5:30 A.M. server (Eastern Standard Time), 5/17/2009 or 3:30 (Mountain Standard Time | GMT -7) U.S. Horde, Smolderthorn PVP.

Tamed at Coordinates 77 70, in Zul'drak immediately following a kill on Griegen along the path coming in from the west part of Zul'drak where Thrym the Hope Ender patrols. Note, I was using a NORMAL flyer when I made this route from Griegen to check the spawn spots, hitting the one by Zim Torga, then the northeast one (77 70) when sure enough the NPC scan alarm went off. I've heard that Griegen has nothing to do with Gondria, but considering I killed him by Thrym (about 25 20ish?) moments before tagging Gondria flying to the spawnpoints, it could be possible that one spawns after another despawns.

I guess I'm lucky as hell, considering I also got Loque'nahak on Monday at 7:55 a.m. server at 67 79 (Southwest of Hardknuckle clearing in Sholozar Basin) on this same hunter on Smolderthorn. I figured Gondria can keep it's name for now, but I'll prolly give it something more unique later. Loque'nahak is named after my current housecat to those who've seen me with Phideaux. Anyway it's pushing 4:15 a.m. here in Colorado and after a night of movies, bar rush, & brief gaming after checking AH mail and getting lucky, it's more than past time to crash. I'm willing to offer suggestions/advice to any other hunters looking to tame these guys who have questions on my server/faction... feel free to hit me up.

Found Gondria again, for the 2nd time in 2 days. Was on my druid again, just logged on wow and didn't feel like doing anything else so I flew to Zul'drak to look for rares. Gondria was at the first spawn point I checked, which was outside Zim'Torga at 62,62. Tagged her immediately and then slept her at about 12:00 pm server. Was no hunters in Zul'drak, so I asked the hunter in my guild. He didn't have a beast spec. Kept her slept for about 10 mins before I finally logged on my friends char and asked in Dalaran for a hunter. She's just too beautiful to kill. Found somebody and he flew out to tame her.

Again, this was Alterac Mountains - Alliance.

Sucks I spent 20+ hours on my hunter looking for her, and I flew out there twice in 2 days on my druid and she's been up.

I had been circling the spawn points for about a week, maybe 10 hours in total before I decided it wasn't worth the effort and I was gonna go SV for raiding anyway.

During a fly-over ZD on my way to grizzly hills I spotted the Zul'Drak sentinel and killed him. I thought I'd take a chance and have one quick look for Gondria while I was there.

I found and tamed Gondria at around 69,48, just next to the Crater of Mam'Toth. This happened within 10 minutes of me killing the Sentinel at around 5.15am server time. I might go and look for Griegan now and see whether these rare mobs do indeed spawn within minutes of others being killed.

There is an addon called 'NPCSCAN' available from wowinterface.com which essentially spams a targetting macro for you looking for rare mobs and any other mobs you tell it to look for. Its so easy to use that I'm unsure whether it is permitted by Blizz at all, but I've been using it for 2-3 weeks now without any problem.

p.s. I had also killed Terror Spinner around 74,68 the day before Gondria.

Thank you to both of you who translated and at least preserved the post. I don't know why, but it was marked down. Not everyone speaks English and sometimes we need to have a little tolerance for those who are different.(from us)
This person is no less than any of us (hunters) who enjoy the class and enjoy finding one of the rares and being able to share that information- and our excitement with our fellow hunters,no matter what language they speak.

I AM SO HAPPY! just caught him today at 17:48 server time on Executus at 62,41! I was trying to get Loque'nahak in sholozar for about 2 days, trying about 2 hours each day. i read around and downloaded NPC SCAN, then today 5 min after landing in Zul'Drak i find him! i quickly stored my pet in my stable and started to tame, but then a Ice Paw Bear and a Guardian of Zim'Rhuk attacked me. Had to FD then moved to the side, set my trap and tried again. Very easy to tame just watch out for the Guardian. 1 minute after taming 2 horde came, hunter and a warlock, and killed me while i was taking screen shots^^ so i was very lucky indeed.

Tamed Gondria the day before yesterday on Aman'thul (Oceanic). I'd been camping Zul'drak off and on for about 2 weeks and this was only the second time I'd actually seen her (the first time she was dead so all i could do was skin). I've been using NPCscan, which I recommend.

I'd just logged off an alt and back to my hunter (who i'd left hovering over one of the spawn sights) to do WG and on a whim thought I may as well do a sweep of the area first. NPCscan picked up Gondria at the 78,70 location and my heart rate went ballistic. The rest was pretty standard, abandon "throw-away" pet, drop trap, tame, blah, blah, blah. Aman'thul is PVE so I didn't have to worry about being ganked and my only concern was some retard trying to rain on my parade.

Throughout the 2 weeks of camping I'd killed the other Zul'drak rare spawns all multiple times, including all 3 within about an hour. Griegan first, then the Sentinel, then Terrorspinner. I spent the next hour or so after that circling the spawn sights without any luck. I'm not sure if the three rares spawning so soon after each other was just a conicidence or if it points to a pattern, but just thought it was worth mentinoing.

Anyway, so now I finally have this amazing pet (as yet still un-named). For all of those still looking, don't give up, it's worth it!

rofl. I can verify that NPC scan works. I was flying ( on FP ) over Dragonblight and Tukemuth showed up. I was have ina daz when sudden I hear this "WRAHHHHHHHH" horn and my first thought was... " WTF was that?"

Just tamed Gondria at about 8:00pm server. I wasn't even looking for him specifically, though I looked up some of his spawn points, my hunter is lvl77 and I was questing in the area and thought "well I can check this spawn point since its nearby", and lo and behold there he was! I immediately abandoned my current pet to pick him up. I found him next to the Altar of Mam'toth.

I tamed her under Zol'Maz Stronghold near the stairs.
Before i must killed the Zul'drak sentinel at the way of Altar of Serratus,the rare elite respawns cirka 4-5 hours....(Tame time at 0:42 AM)
I'm the second who has this pet on Bloodscalp-EU in the Alliance^^.(this was my first day,but i have no luck(really)

I tamed Gondria at 78, 70 on Defias Brotherhood at 5:40am server time. I had stopped my circuit of the area and was stationary while chatting in guild when she spawned just behind me at exactly 78.70. I landed and checked the position after I'd tamed just to make sure.

Took just over 4 hours farming. I also searching ZD regularly for any of the other spawns since there has been a lot of mention of it sharing a respawn timer, I can't confirm either way, but I never saw any other rares during the time I was searching for Gondria.

I was using both a macro and NPCScan.

I'm tired, but damn the pet was worth it. Now to level it...

I'll agree he blends in like crazy, when he's on top of snow he just looks like kind of a glow. My macro didn't go off either, I guess I was too high up, so you have to really keep your eyes open. I'll agree, easy tame. I didn't even shoot at him, just set down a trap right in front of me, and tamed a couple yards away, he only got to hit me once.

I just tamed her on my hunter, I spent all day looking. I remembered that only one rare is up at a time or something so I killed the other three, all within 5 minutes of each other so it kind of contradicts only one rare at a time or the spawn times (30 minutes-6 hours). I then spent 4 more hours looking then called it quits and ran Gun'Drak. I took the flight path back to Zim'Torga and left the room. When I came back my NPScan picked her up so I got all excited and went back towards Gun'Drak to the Zim'Rhuk spawn point. I aggroed a bunch of mobs on the way and had to use my targeting macro that I had set to play the Illidan "You are not prepared!" when I target her and when I heard it I spilled my drink on my lap xD. I wasn't I had dual-specced Beast Mastery and Survival and I was Survival for Gun'Drak and forgot to abandon the temporary pet i picked up as it was in it's dismissed state from switching specs. After I tamed her it said I had too many pets and I had to do it again. It's a worthwhile pet I tested it out afterwards and it kills fast. I named mine Bakeneko, Japanese monster spirit cats :3

I just tamed him on "dreadmaul" at 12pm 24/5/09. Here is the info i can give u.
I tamed him at 63.2/43.0
I killed the rare spawn spider in zuldrak at 6am, while i went to check if he spawned yet, i thought he would be like the other spirit beast and share the 6 hour cooldown with the rest of the rare spawns there.
I came back about 6h later, found him at 63.2/43.0 and tamed him right on the spot, and full on cheering on vent/ guild chat after XD.

Tamed Gondria last night at 61; 62.
No macro - nothing except track beasts on.

She was amongst a group of three red dots ( the turned Harkoa cats with red eyes). Couldnt beleive it.. a yellow dot amongst them and there she was.

Pretty magnificant looking beast, very like the frost saber but just in translucent, ghost form

Made conscious decision not teo obsess with finding Gondria (unlike camping out Loq with no luck until i gave up) . So with no macro and no expectations she shows herself.
Am absolutely stoked, i do suggest if not using a macro check ALL the yellow spots and especially those amongst the red ones. You might just get a nice surprise like i did.

Decided to tame this for my boyfriend as a suprise. Flew around for roughly an hour around Zul'Drak and found her.
Cords: 69.6, 48.6
Spotted + tamed around: 8:24 AM EST.

About an hour later I also found the other spirit beast, Loque, in Sholazar Basin at 9:15 AM EST.

I guess I got lucky. I suggest going early in the morning.

After farming Zul'Drak for nearly a week, I found this mob south of the Altar of Har'koa. There's no way I would have found it if it wasn't for NPCscan. If you really want this mob for a pet, get the addon. It makes things so much easier.

I found Gondria for the first time today, while doing a bit of related scouting. She was due south of the center of the Altar of Quetz'lun, among a few other cats and bears. I do not have the necessary Beast Mastery talent, so I could not tame Spirit Beasts such as her. Because she is not (currently) required for the Frostbitten achievement, I chose not to kill her. Instead I made a zone-wide comment advertising her availability. Another Hunter whispered me, came over, and succeeded in taming Gondria. The other Hunter was Level 78, and (for whatever reason, perhaps haste) did not use a Freezing Trap. Gondria reduced the Hunter to about half health before the taming was successfully completed.

I wouldn't call any spot the "best" to catch a rare spawn. They do have static spawn points though, however standing in one spot in hoping the rare will spawn is drastically killing your chance of actually catching the pet.

*on a side now i just tamed Gondria <5minutes ago. I believe(but could be wrong) that she has a chance to spawn 8>hours after killing Terror spinner. I killed Terror Spinner at 4:36 AM and just tamed Gondria at 4:00pm. Someone else mentioned killing Terror Spinner around 7:00 pm and Finding Gondria around 5:00am* Also i'm on a HIGH pop server.

I killed Terror Spinner at 4:30am and figured Ok, if this guy killed Terror Spinner at 7:00pm and 9>hours later he found Gondria then by the time i wake up she should be close to spawning. I win the game :) Total time spent looking for this pet; 1hour 35minutes <----that part doesnt matter i know so don't downrate me, i'm just Boasting :p

Just found out about this pet today. So i deciced to try to find and tame him.
Read some info on this site and found out about addon called _NPCScan.

After half and hour just already, just doing one more round b4 i wanted to go to bed, the addon found him. it was 0.55 and at 78,70
Tamed him. He looks really nice.

Tamed on May 22 at 8:19PM server time, Earthen Ring. I had been looking for her for 5 days on my hunter, and wasn't sure if I wanted to stay in one spot or patrol around her spawn points. I only have an epic ground mount at the time of typing this (I know, I fail; I'm bad at keeping money on him). So I go from my camping spot, the corner of the stairs, and do a sweep around counter-clockwise. I was talking with my sister in the other room, saying 'Yeah, I guess I have a better chance of finding her if I stay at my one camping spot.' Rounded the corner back to where I had been sitting (~63, 43) and BAM! Saw the yellow dot and the purple cat before my _NPCscan fired off. Kept calm, dropped a freezing trap and stood on it, and after 20 seconds she was mine. Kept her nameless for a while but right now she's called Jinx (because my sister's Loque is named Geas; goes along with it)

To everyone looking for her, don't give up. It's so worth it in the end, trust me.

Tamed today on Emerald Dream EU at the 77,68 spawn point.
I'd spent about five hours overnight circling the area and checking for any other of the rares so no luck and went to get some sleep. From reading here, I decided to log off at 77,68 as it seemed one of the most likely spawn locations for her. Six hours after I logged off, I logged back on and the NPC Scan made a big noise and flashed on the screen right whereI logged in - I really recommend this add-on or similar, when your eyes are fuzzy from hours of aimless flying, it's pretty invaluable. I did have the macro too but I was getting a repetitive strain injury from spamming it =/ Unfortunately I am unsure of the timer as I had only just logged on, so I've no idea if any other rares in the area were killed.
Anyway just be careful and don't panic like I did when I saw it, I ended up with it untrapped hitting me AND another mob on me. As I'm a Draenei I cast GoTN on myself before starting taming anyway, but without it I would have been dead before the cast-time finished - as it was, I survived on 900hp. She doesn't hit overly hard, but I was crit a couple of times for around 1.4k and as a freshly-dinged 80, my health pool is somewhat lacking.
Anyway good luck getting yours =)

I've been searching for this one for only about two days, checking after midnight (It's summer, I can catch up on sleep anytime.). I heard that the best time to find rares are at about 2-4 AM server time, so I'll usually hop on for one patrol and get back on in two hours.
So this last night, one of my guildmates tamed Gondria and announced it at about 8:35 PM server time. I decided to gauge the timer a bit (though I hear it's completely random), and woke up early the next morning to test the 8 hour spawn theory.
Now, I have _NPCScan installed (automatic rare elite tracker, and a real gem of one at that), and while passing by the (70,78) spawn point, my alerts went off. When I saw what it was setting alerts about, I noticed Terror Spinner, another rare elite in the Zul'Drak area. I found him at about 6:37 AM server time, only two minutes up from exactly eight hours from Gondria's taming.
I'm convinced that Gondria, like Loque'nahak and all the other Sholazar elites, shares a spawn timer with the other Zul'Drak elites. Why it was almost exactly eight hours, I'm still not sure, maybe just sheer luck. So, if you're searching for this one, you'll want a macro or addon that also searches for the other three rares in the area. Once it's killed, you're the only one who can really anticipate the spawn time.
But then again, people say it's random between a half hour and 6 hours, so you may not be able to estimate the spawn time at all. It's still worth a shot, especially since the competition on Gondria is way lower than that of Loque'nahak.

Alright, sorry about the double post on this, but I just caught this upon logging in.
Caught at about (77,70), the most common spawn for Gondria. Last night I did one quick patrol, found Terror Spinner instead at about 2:05 AM server time, and logged off above one of Gondria's spawns. This morning I get on just for another quick patrol (about 8 hours later), and at 10:50 PM server time, my addon went off and surely enough, there's the lone yellow dot on my minimap.
I didn't expect to find it so easily, so I was pretty shaken. I had to search my hotbars for my freezing trap and the tame button, and the freezing trap was missed somehow. I got attacked by a bunch of bears around there at the same time, feigned death, healed up, tried again, and died by the same bears.
Luckily the nearest graveyard was only a minute away, so I got back, calmed down a bit, and did the freeze-tame method again, and after the longest 20 seconds of my life, it was tamed.

I've only been searching for this for about two days, and on the third morning, I just logged on and it was there. Gondria is a lot easier to tame than Loque'nahak since he/she isn't a requirement of the Frostbitten achievement, but it was still great to find this rare guy.
From the looks of it, it spawned almost exactly eight hours after I killed Terror Spinner the previous night, and the previous day, Terror Spinner spawned eight hours after Gondria was tamed the night before.

If there's a precise spawn timer on it, it's probably around eight hours, because I don't know how many rares have an uptime of more than ten minutes this time of day. Maybe I was just lucky.

So to all you hunters spending restless hours searching for this, don't worry too much. Do a few patrols and log out at one of the spawns (77,70 is probably the best), and log on every once in a while to do a quick patrol. This is a nice little guy here and he'll be one of the pets I keep.

I owe the find to three things. 1 - _NPCScan addon. This set off an alert for Terror Spinner twice for me (and a lot of false alarms for both Gondria and Loque'nahak), so I could gauge the spawn times. This is what got my heart beating when I logged on today. 2 - Rare Spawn Overlay addon. This goes right on the map and is handy for finding exact spawn points as you fly, and is basically like WoWHead's maps right in-game. 3 - One of my guildmates who tamed Gondria (within 5 minutes of my patrol ending, mind you), and first helped me gauge the spawn timer. Once again, not as hard to get as Loque'nahak, but still a rare find, at least on my server.

I didn't have to search very long to find her, when I was lvl 76 I saw her at location 67.9, 78.3 at around 8:30 pm PST. Finally 77 and able to tame her, I found her at location 78.2, 70.2 at around 12pm PST. I was alerted of her presence the first time by the simple mod _NPCScan. Make sure under the mod in your interface that Gondia is listed with the ID # 33776.

The second time I was not alerted, maybe because I was flying that time? Anyway she is not a threat, so she's a yellow dot on the minimap when tracking beasts. It's easy to spot her in those locations because she's the only yellow amongst red when she's there. Using the Freezing Trap made taming a piece of cake and I was prepared with a pet that I didn't mind abandoning right before taming her.

Confirmed Sighting on server Silver Hand cords 78.70.
I used the macro by onenation777, and it worked great. The only downside is while you're flying it is hard to spot him on the ground with all the snow while using the macro. He appears as a yellow dot in the mini map if you’re using beast tracking. It only took me one day to get him I logged in every 2 hours and tamed him at 318pm server time.

I had been flying around and around and around. Didn't see her around. So I asume she shares the respawn time with other rare elites in the map. And I started looking for the rest 3 rares. Once I got to 83.23, I found the spider called Terror Spinner and kill him. Got the achievment at 7:15 pm. And I start looking for others.
After 30mins flying. I guess one of those will respawn. Of coz went look at the places of this sexy. At around 7:46, found her at the spot 62.62. Tame her with the trap.. And that's it..

So I will suggest hunters to go kill other rare elite once u DON'T find her the first time. And she MAY appear in the next 30 mins. Happy hunting. Hope u will understand what I'm saying.. Bad English..lol...

Doesn't counts for Northern Exposure achievement so if you dont want ~20g and some crystallized eternals / frostweave cloth rather pass it for hunters. I've killed she before few minutes and was very disappointed that I dont have that achievement, because she was the first outland / northrend rare I found since BC. Atleast dropped nice ring to my off-spec. GLHF hunters, really nice pet.

Just a note to _NPCScan users on this. If you're searching for any rare and you happen to see its tamed version, you will need to reset your cache by navigating to your World of Warcraft folder and deleting the folder titled "Cache". Otherwise the addon will stop alerting you whenever this NPC is sighted.

Firstly I was just looking for it, but then I found that there can only be 1 rare per zone, meaning gondria wont spawn until the rare is dead, so I searched Zul'Drak for any rares and I found Zul'Drak Sentinel after I killed him I waited 3 hours then I ran to the first place which was 63,43 and viola she was there. I used NPCScan for searching

I had been searching for Loque'Nahak for weeks with no luck when I decided to look & see if there were any new pets. Saw Gondria & expected to have to camp her for weeks as well. I logged out on the south side of Altar of Har'Koa. When I logged back in I flew one circuit around the spawn points. And there she was! She was right behind the Altar of Har'Koa (east side) in the middle of some Cursed Offspring of Har'Koa. I abandoned my pet, laid my trap, Arcane Shot, & tamed away! I was so excited that I was screaming & my friends on vent thought I was going crazy!

One thing to note is that, like Loque, she might jump over the trap so if she does just kite her into it. This pet is so awesome! She's beautiful. These pictures just don't do her justice! She does great DPS. Her spirit strike is the same as Loque's.

She may be easier to get in the grand scheme of things. As of right now, she's not on the achievement list, so everyone won't be camping her like Loque. When I tamed her, I was not aware of any other rare spawns in the area, so I can't confirm or deny her sharing the spawn timer. I'm pretty sure (99%) that I was the first person on my server (Shadow Council) to tame her. Within the first two weeks that I had her, I saw other hunters with her about twice as much as I've ever seen anyone with Loque.

Anyway enjoy! She's an awesome pet! I've enjoyed her immensely!

I can confirm that the Zul'drak Sentinel & Terror Spinner DO NOT share the usual 8 hour respawn timer. I killed Terror Spinner about an hour after killing the Zul'drak Sentinel. I believe it's safe to day that Gondria doesn't either.

Tamed two days ago at 77.70 on Mok'Nathal server. Funny thing was I wasn't LOOKING for her. I was just mining ore for my bullets and turned around and was staring at this glowing cat just walking around in front of me.

I do have to say, I went from being hardcore SV to BM in the matter of minutes. The pictures DO NOT show the beauty of this cat.

As a Blood Elf Hunter, you can't see the cat once in your log-in screen. It simply blends in with the background! :)

Okay so here I am getting ready for Naxx 10, and I decide its a great idea to waist a bit of time waiting on this run so I go to visit a spawn point to see if anyone has better luck than me, btw i spent two or three weeks looking for this bastard (Fail), i'm clicking my targeting macro just for the hell of it and guess what popped up You have target Gondria! i whispered to myself. I landed and switched to my BM spec and i couldn't for the life of me figure out how to abandon my trash pet and tame this spirit beast, and I mean it; it had my character profile up and my inventory trying to figure out what im trying to do to this guy. I finally pull my head together long enough to lay down a freezing trap and tame him, as soon as he was tamed some ally hunter comes over and attacks me, and he killed me pretty quickly IE i'm still in shock and can quite figure out whats going on. but yeah this defiantly leads me to believe that Gondria finds you, you cannot find him.

This day, June 12, 2009, marks the day that I have completed my set of Spirit Beasts...for Gondria and I have bonded in the ancient rites known to all Azerothian Hunters!

Here are the details of my hunt for this elusive, and majestic beast...

I searched in the pre-dawn hours on Dark Iron, searching for signs of Gondria...I mounted my Swift Wind-rider to get a better picture of the scene from the air...and just north of the Altar of Rhunor, my pet Core Hound, Wraith, picked up the scent of another elusive beast, a dire spider known in dark whispers as "Terror Spinner". I didn't have to track him very far to spy his gargantuan bulk, which stood out in sharp contrast against the white snow.

Motioning to Wraith to attack, he sped off, hitting the grotesque insect with a blast of Lava, and slammed his considerable bulk into the spider's thorax, stunning it. I unleashed a barrage of fire from my trusty rifle, a gift from an engineer friend who, if I can believe him, received a copy of the plans for the gun from the great hunter, Nesingwary himself. Round after round slammed into the beast, as Wraith mauled and tore at the spider's underbelly. Soon, the great spider lay twitching, it's gore staining the pristine snow for yards in every direction. Wraith trotted up to me, grinning in satisfaction in helping me slay yet another foe, yet he sensed something was different in me today...that my mind was elsewhere, and tilted his heads at odd angles as he stared up at me. He seemed to know that our time together was coming to an end...but accepted his fate as we began searching again for Gondria...

Just after noon, I transited the paths between the outpost at Zim'Torga and the great set of stairs leading upward to the Altar of Mam'Toth, and as I ventured around the northwestern side of the stairs, I sensed a great aura...and off, in the distance, barely perceptible against the drifted snows, I saw my first glimpse of the great spectral Tiger, Gondria. The descriptions I'd heard of him whispered by other hunters in The Filthy Animal in Dalaran paled in comparison to seeing him for the first time, and kneeling next to my friend and faithful core hound, Wraith, I removed the collars that bound him to me, and whispered, "Wraith, you have served me well, and your memory will be in my heart always, but now I release you of your bond to me...you are free to go home...where you belong." He looked me with both sets of eyes, nodded as if in understanding, then licked my hand, and slowly trotted southward, disappearing as he faded from my sight.

I stalked Gondria swiftly, and, closing almost to where I could reach out and touch him, chose a freezing trap from my pack, placed it at my feet. Using the techniques shown me at an early stage in my training as a hunter in Durotar, I called out to him with my heart and soul, exerting my will and hoping that he would accept the bond that I wished to form with him. He growled and walked towards me, and as he reached me, stepped into the trap I'd laid for him just under the snow's surface, magically freezing him in a block of ice. He froze, mid stride, and as our eyes locked, his will pushing back against mine, I could sense that he knew that I would win this battle of wills, and that we would walk together as one. After what seemed like an eternity, the trap thawed, and I could sense that he had found my soul pure, and ceased to resist me, and accepted me as his brother as the ritual bonding completed. I fed him until he was sated, as I sensed his hunger, and called forth the words of power bound to the hearthstone I carried with me, transporting us back to the Filthy Animal back in Dalaran, my hunt having reached it's successful conclusion."

His spawn time was almost exactly 8 hours after killing Terror Spinner this morning at 7:30AM server time on Dark Iron, finding and taming Gondria at approximately 12:35PM server time, at coordinates (63.1,42.7), on the northwestern side of the stairs.

I named him "Ineluki" (Storm King), and he now joins Loque'Nahak as well as The Kurken (White Core Hound) in my stable of exotic pets.

Total time of my hunt: Approximately 1 full day. You will find him...and you too will know the joy of having such a Regal companion by your side. Good Hunting!

tamed him at 7.30 am today on Bronzebeard server. The may above on his spawn points are correct. I just would log in , do a fly by and bam there he was. As a hunter if you have tracking on he does show up as a yellow dot. I found him at the location 67.8 77.2 area. yeah im so excited! good luck in your hunting.

Found at 5pm (UK time) at approx 67,82. I killed the spider boss about 24 hours previous to getting Gondria. And herb'd a lot around the area and never saw any other elites during that time.

Was just walking back and forth between a group of trees.

I have the NPCS (whatever it is called) installed and this DID NOT show up any alert when this pet was found. However, yesterday when I stumbled across the rare spider in the same area it did.

So lesson learnt, make sure you are either using the mod you have correctly, or keep your eyes open for this would/is an easy beast to not notice if looking away from screen for too long.

I started leveling my hunter about a week ago and I was wondering what kind of pet I would use once I hit 80. As soon as I saw the screeenshots, I knew it would be Gondria.

I started looking for her right after I hit lvl77. Being unsuccessful in spite of 4 days circling east Zul'Drak, I decided resume questing in the zone for a while... and lo and behold there she was!

I would like to thank all the people here who recommended _npcscan_, it was unbelievably helpful. Note however that by default this addon will not give a warning for Gondria: you need to type /npcscan and activate the detection for tamable pets. Don't forget to delete the cache.

Now, I don't know if this info has any value to anyone, but just in case... I found her at 64,42, 1h33 a.m. on Kirin Tor (EU).

Oddly enough there was no competition at all: in spite of playing on one of the most populated EU servers during the week-end and with no major event going on, I was the only hunter in Zul'Drak, aside from some damn bot right on a spawn point killing/skinning mobs. Nothing like my Rak'shiri hunt... Either the existence of this npc is still not widely known to the hunter community, or perhaps after all the nerfs there are not a lot of BM hunters left...

As I started to tame Gondria, some stupid polar bear aggroed and jumped right in the freezing trap I had prepared while Gondria, with great glee, was affectionately using my ribcage as a scratching pole.

She does hit quite hard during the taming (1-2k damage per hit). I basically saw my life diminishing almost exactly at the same rate than the taming bar. After 20 seconds that seemed like hours I finally tamed her... with 32 hp left! Really a close call, but that's the kind of thrill that makes the hunt only more rewarding in the end.

Now I need to find a decent name. This might take longer than the hunt itself...

By some crazy flux of good luck, I was able to get both Loque'nahak and Gondria today. Screenshots have been submitted for both. =o) I believe the Titan Panel Coords for Gondria's tame were 76,70. It was 8-something pm AK time on Thorium Brotherhood.

For those still hunting this beauty - and/or Loque'nahak - hang in there! They are both gorgeous beasts and well worth the effort! =o)

My day began by thinking about what pet I wanted most in the game. Petopia then informed me of a rare beast, only for those who venture deep into the Beast mastery tree. I saw and I wanted it! I tamed Gondria today on karazhan EU, Chords: 69.4, 47.6 (according to cartographer). She was wondering around, walking to the cliff and back in a 40 yard radius. If not for NPC scan I would defiantly have missed her. As it was about 20 seconds before I actually saw here prowling up and down. Taming began at 10:22am (11:22 server time).

Tbh I don’t know how hard she hits because she did not pounce for me or attack me, she was trapped and tamed. Afterwards I gave her some meat I began killing things. It’s funny seeing cat moonfire things, lol. Next victim was a 76 draenei DK, he went down with ease.

Was doing a flyby of the area spamming Nuker's macro (above) and all of the sudden I was getting whispers out the ass and lo and behold, there it was! It sure surprised me, I was not expecting to find it my first flyover! But I tamed it without any problem, and now I'm excited to use it as my official pvp pet.

WARNING: If I didn't have the macro to auto-target it, I would have flown right over him without realizing! He's semi-transparent, and blends in with the snow very well. So be sure to keep your eyes peeled, and track beasts and scan every dot on your minimap if you have to. This guy is nearly invisible in white areas.

P.S. Spirit claw (Or whatever it's called) looks and behaves exactly like moonfire! At first when I fought with him, I kept looking around for a druid. :D Silly me!

wow! i was just about to give up until my macro started spamming me i have found her!Tuesday Night, i found Terror Spinner at 6:20PM. Of course nothing so i went to bed. The next day, I found Griegen's corpse at 1:20PM. Also knowing that it was probably killed around that time because the corpse's do not stay for long. I camped and tried to find another rare spawn to see if i could make any type of pattern. So i stayed there and then again found Griegen at 4:30PM, then killed him. I then noticed that there was just a pattern in JUST the times, not the order of the rares. I begin my hunt again for Gondria. Then later that night, I spotted the Zul'drak Sentinel, around 7:30PM, killed that also. So knowing that they have a re spawn time of 30mins-6hours, i knew that another rare would spawn in between 8PM-2:30AM. I began to search all of the spots. It was getting around to 12AM when i thought well maybe someone tamed it, killed one of them, or if i'm lucky it just has not spawned yet. I was almost ready to give up when i was standing in a spawn spot talking to a friend. When at 2:20 she spawned almost right in front of me! My _NPCScan add on went off. I then got attacked by another cat, which of course was no problem. I killed it. Then used freezing arrow to freeze Gondria. Then i started taming her. No interruptions. I hearthed to dalaran then everyone started whispering me "hey nice pet, kool pet, where did you get it"? Haha i was so happy that i finally got her! After only a day and a half of searching. My next goal is Loque'Nahak. I definitely couldn't have done it without Wictress's picture she had made. With her comment. It helped so much! Thanks Wictress!

Funny story. I was flying from Howling Fjord to the northeast part of Zul'Drak thinking I could farm some rhino meat for the cooking daily quest there (I actually forgot I had to farm rhino meat afterwards, but I digress...). So, there I was flying northeast from Zim'Torga and tracking animals along the way. I saw a spot on the minimap and thought it was a rhino. But hovering on the minimap, the tooltip said "Gondria".

Now, I have no intention of taming a Spirit Beast. Never had for a long time. I gave up on Loq like 7 months ago. And I was never in BM spec ever since. I was MM/SV spec at the time coz I switch between these specs in our raids.

So, there I was, hovering above Gondria for about 2 minutes, contemplating whether it's worth the hassle of flying back to Dalaran, porting to IF and resetting one of my specs to BM just for this. Or whether I should just kill it and be done with it. Who knows, maybe in between the time I do the whole respec, someone else would've tamed or killed him.

Oh, what the heck. I flew to Zim'Torga and took the flight path to Da-lag-ran. And Da-lag-ran it was, as I mounted to go to the IF portal, it took a minute for the mount to appear. And then I got to the IF portal, but the portals weren't there. It took another minute for the portals in the area to appear. Then I took the IF portal, reset one of my specs, and hearthed back to Dalaran.

While on the flight path to Zim'Torga, I picked my BM talents, not caring where points went as long as I got the 51-point talent to allow me to tame Gondria. Then I flew on my Rusted Proto-Drake to the spot where I last saw Gondria, and there it was, safe, and unharmed even after about 20 minutes.

I landed, abandoned my wasp pet, and shot a Frozen Arrow in the air, and hit Tame Beast on Gondria. Good thing I mis-clicked on my Frozen Arrow and instead of shooting way ahead of me, I shot the trap just a couple yards away from me, coz as soon as I started taming it, it leaped in the air towards me, and got caught in the trap (I didn't know before that it can leap).

After several seconds, I got my Spirit Beast. And I didn't even want one to begin with.

With lady luck on my side, I wondered if Loq itself would also be there for me free to time in Sholazar Basin. Besides, Loq looks way cooler than Gondria. So, I flew to Sholazar, totally forgetting that I needed to farm rhino meat in Zul'Drak. I flew around the basin, but sadly, there was no sign of the other spirit beast, or other rare elites in the area. Then I remembered I needed rhino meat for my cooking daily, and good thing there was lots of rhinos in the area.

I was doing my usual flyover, today was my 2nd day of looking for gondria, i was at cords 77 and my macro went off, gondria's icon popped up on my screen, then disappeared. I wasn't thinking but when i noticed it left i flew right back and the icon appeared again. I looked down and barely caught a glimpse of her. Took my forever to find my tame button and in that time i forget to lay an icetrap. Then i aggroed an icepaw bear, it ran into the trap instead. I was sitting there looking for a health potion in my bag as i sit there watching gondria beat me down hard. Luckily with a sliver of health (which was pretty sad on my part) i tamed gondria. (: i was so excited and i still am!

Sorry for yet another 'I just tamed Gondria' posts but hopefully it might help my fellow EU Dragonblighters :)

I found Gondria at 67,76 at 04:11 server time.

Installed NPCScan, and it took me in total 8 hours over 2 days. I started searching after midnight and only once was there ONE hunter on my side who was also looking for Gondria, but he gave up after 10 minutes :) I checked on my Horde character everytime I logged on to make sure, but no Hunters in Zul'Drak. I even managed to find the Terror Spinner once and got some nice BoE blue.

Anyways, I just kept circling around between those 5 spawn points on my 60% flying mount! Fired a Freezing Arrow right underneath her, and then casted Tame Beast. Then she was mine :)

Ok I had to wait a few days to do this. I haven't completely come down yet I think. lol. So after hearing all the good comments about npcscan, I went ahead and downloaded the addon. I already had rarespawnoverlay installed. So with those 2 lovely addons plus the macro that was mentioned above in a previous post(thanks for that). I was able to tame this very lovely beast on July 1st @ 5:16pm server time on the Perenolde(US) server @ 67.7,77.1

I had only started to look for Gondria a few days before this. Sad to say that I had not heard that Blizz had added the 2nd spirit beast already. Found that out from a fellow hunter about it who had already tamed this beast.

Well I had killed Griegen early that day @ 1:54pm @ 21.7, 69.8 also killed this same npc the day before near the same coordinates @ 1:20pm. Well now all I have to do is get Loque now and I will be a very happy hunter. :D

Yes, you can use the macro for Loque as well. I have both of their names in the same macro so that I don't have a lot of macros taking up room.

Also you need to keep clicking on the macro. At least that is what I did until I got a positive response from it. Hope that helps in any way.

@ Reiqnist: If the mod you're speaking of is _NPCScan, the mod also displays a warning when it finds a hunter pet that's already been tamed, thus making it rather bad for pet-hunting while good for rare-hunting.

To be honest I began searching for Loque'nahak about 5 days ago but the shear amount of people in his zone drove me off. After reading all of the comments here I decided this pet was the one for me. I began searching for him 2 days ago and spent a good 6 hours looking around for him and offering a 500g finders fee for anyone spotting him. I even would set my alarm and check every couple of hours in the early mornings but so far no luck.

Finally last night I tamed him! I decided to go to bed early and try to get up around 3am PDT and start looking before leaving for work at 6am. So at about 3am i started my search I patrolled his spawn points in my slow flier for about 3 passes them I decided to make sure non of the other spawns were up. Using the map of all the rare spawns I found in the comments here and the addon npc_scan I began to slowly make my way around checking all the rare spawn points. When I finally finished i had not found any. The only info I had about rares was that I had killed Greigen at about 4pm yesterday.

So far fruitless in my search I went back to combing for just Gondria. I made about 2 more circuits around his spawn points, and still no luck. I decided I was going to camp and check the characters I had parked at Loque'nahak's spawn points. But before I did I figured what they heck I will use eagle eyes and check Gondria's closest spawn once more. And low and behold he must have just shown up.

I quickly ran over set the ice trap, shot at him froze him, but I forgot and left auto attack still on so i broke him out of the trap. I figured oh well I will do this one the hard way and was about 1/2 way through taming when a nearby wandering mob jumped me also. Well now I knew I would not be able to tame him with 2 mobs beating on me so I had to Feign Death and abandon this attempt. I waited till the wanderer passed move to a safer spot, healed up and got ready again. All the time hoping no one would come by and snap him up.

This time I made sure to turn attack off after tagging him and it went like clockwork and 15 or so seconds later I was feeding my new pet.

To everyone still looking NPC_Scan is amazing I could not have done it without it. And looking in the wee hours of the morning is definitely the way to go, far less competition. And always do that one last check, if I had camped instead of looking that one last time I probably would have missed him.

Got this cat yesterday. Terrokar (EU) 11.15pm server time.
It took roughly one day of camping out on the coords 77,00 67,00.(that decision was made after wasting my time flying around the rest of Zul too many times earlier).
Was using NPC scan (really good btw-ive tested it elsewhere), but it wasnt needed(although it went off)-as soon as i logged on, there was gondria-easy tame, just watch out for the ice paw bears all around.
Now i have my Core hound, Loque'nahak and Gondria-so im a very happy hunter.

Used the (brilliant) macro to find and tame Gondria today on Dragonblight, took around 30 seconds from when I started (very lucky)

It was at the most southerly spawn spot around 67,77

Couldn't see it at first (although was targetted) so had to land and use hunters mark!

Pretty sure my own cats can turn translucent whenever its time to go to the vet. My theory that they were really spirit beasts didn't amuse the vet too much (probably plays Guild Wars or something) ;)

i just tamed her. i was wandering around looking for her about 2-3 hours. and i just saw a yellow dot on my minimap. First i forgot to abandon my pet so waste of time then abandoned my pet while she is attacking me. then one more frost trap and tame that was easy. just place a frost trap where u stand and start taming. she will be tamed before the trap is gone.

I was horribly surprised when I stumbled upon Gondria, and it wasn't a corpse. Lately, that's all I've encountered when my NPC Scan goes off. Nope, there Gondria was, in broad daylight prancing around. I'm not the kind of player who spends three or four hours on their Epic Flying mount looking around. I'm on my little 60% flying mount, maybe doing a round or two through Zul'Drak before looking for something else to do.

He wasn't hard to spot at all, he didn't 'blend' with the snow as other comments recall. Then again, he probably wasn't on Prowl.

Anyways. As soon as I saw him, I discarded the wolf I had and quickly switched over to BM. Mind you, I'm an avid user of MM -- so when I switched over, it kind of flustered me as I tried to find out where I put all my buttons.

First time I tried taming him, I wasn't successful. I had a Har'koa Offspring jump me, rattling a little bit of my HP. No problem, Feign Death and keep going. Set down a Frost Trap, but I made the mistake of not using Concussion Shot, hitting him with a normal bullet. Needless to say, Gondria wiped me out about half-way through taming.

I was horrified that someone else would snag him while I ran back to the spot, but he was still there. (: Frost Trap, Concussion Shot, and I didn't go below 80% health. Now I'm just dying for my boyfriend to get on so I can show him. :D

And a tip, as so many others have pointed out. Put the trap right infront of you, when Gondria pounces, he'll land on that.

Well, since i have been searching for a few days now, switching between Loque and Gondria, i felt it was my duty to post that i finally caught Gondria! On Akama server, at 3:27am server time, at the 67,77 location.

I had my rogue camping the various spawn points while my hunter was in Sholo. i finally see Gondria and hearth to Zim Torga, died the first time, but managed to get back before anyone messed with him.

Now all i gotta do is figure out what to name it....lol.

Oh, and icing on the cake, i get back to sholo to show off my fresh new pet and who pops up? Aotona! so me and another player track and kill it for the achievement. Gets me wondering if there is any kind of record for the most amount of rare elites seen and in how little time to see them...lol.

I'm one happy hunter, this is the pet I wanted more than any other.

I tamed her last night at 11:31 near the cliff at 77, 70. I had heard he spawns at the hour and half hour on a 6 hour timer and I think that's true. I flew over at 11:29, and nothing, but 2 minutes later there she was.

I got pretty lucky, I dinged 77 with my hunter earlier that day, and only camped his spawn points for 4 hours or so.

I, like many others, was so excited/nervous when I saw him I almost forgot what to do to tame him. Luckily I got my head straight and trapped and tamed him quickly. It is so cool watching him moonfire a mob, then charge in and maul em. I named him Storm Fury.

Tamed him on the Lightnings Blade server at 1126pm july 14th.
I used the NPCScan mod. It worked like a charm, i would highly recommend it. FYI hunters...dont be like me and forget that you are in your surv spec before you attempt to tame him >< .. You dont want someone coming up and stealing him while your switching specs!

saw this tiger on my rogue while leveling in zul'drak, started hitting on it, then it came a hunter, and she looked really dissappointed (spelling) over me killing it, so i vanished and let her tame it :D

Yes track beasts will work, she shows up as a yellow dot amongst the red ones on your mini map - grab npc scan if you can though, like other's have said it works brilliantly!

Geez, I have been camping this thing for 4 days checking the spawn points every hour. I have killed Griegen in the process but still no cat. I have loaded NPCScan, set up a macro, camped the spawn points, and still nothing. My hat is off to you guys for being able to find him.

Funny story, I spent 3 days circling all the spawn spots looking for this wonderful looking pet, on the third day just as I was about to leave to go join a VoA pug, I FOUND HER ! But at the moment she was being attacked by an ally hunter, I WAS 'GOD DAMN I WISH THIS WAS A PvP REALM !' then I noticed that he had feigned death and she was running back dropped my trap and tamed.... wait no I FORGOT TO SPEC INTO BM and the alliance hunter killed her, what a *!@#$%. Another day we shall meet :(

I've been aware of Gondria for some time now but have only recently started to seriously hunt her this past week. I've read all the stories others have shared and thought I would share mine. I did all my research first on spawn locations, timers, links to other rare spawns, etc. I decided to download npcscan and simply try my luck. I started on Monday this week and hunted primarily in the afternoons and evenings. I would circle the spawn points and then park myself at the following spawn point and then leave to do other things around the house, coming back every 10 or 15 minutes, sometimes longer. (77.6, 69.8)

I did this for four days and was actually getting somewhat dissappointed and ready to abandon the search. I couldn't even find Terror Spinner or the Guardian. I camped some of the othe spawn points as well hoping npcscan would pick her up. No luck. I read some of the other stories on how people would stumble upon her at the last minute or when they least expect it and never thought the same would happen to me.

Last night I decided to do some questing in Sholazar. When I was done I hearthed back to
Zul'Drak and decided to do one last circuit before calling it a night. On the last leg of my route I flew straight out from Mam'toth crater, over the Altar of Quetz'Lun, toward the spawn point at 77.6, 69.8. I turned my back for a bit confident that npcscan would alert me if she should show up. When I turned back to the computer I saw I was flying out over Grizzly Hills. So I turned back and was going to log out on the ledge near 77.6, 69.8. No sooner had I arrived then the alarm from npcscan went off. I jumped, right below me was Gondria! In seconds I dived down on her, cancelled my flight, abandoned my throw away pet I had been using, set a freezing trap, tagged gondria with arcane shot, moved back to the trap, cancelled my attack. She pounced, I moved back and began taming her while an icepaw bear jumped me. She broke my trap about 3/4 of the way through but my tame held and now she is mine! Amazing! I had flown over the exact spot she spawned at just seconds before!

For all you other Hunters out there. Don't give up like I almost did. You never know what might happen!

Just tamed this beauty and I still don't think my guild has recovered from the spams in g chat. About 6 months back I spent days hunting for Loque and couldn't find so much as a corpse. After about a week of searching off and on, I gave up and figured I'd never tame a spirit beast. Since coming back to WoW I've been interested in taming one again and found out about Gondria who is arguably even cooler looking and figured I'd give it a shot.

Went out last night and searched for a while, but got nothing. I hopped on my DK today and was messing around in Sholazar and for some really weird and eerie reason, I felt like I should hop on my Hunter and give it a go around. As I was about to take flight, I figured I'd just check out Zul'Drak real quick. As I flew around, I came across her around a 77 alliance warrior. I thought he was going to take her, but he just passed by. I had to fight off a bear, but then I dropped a trap and the rest is history.

Well here I am once again to add to my other story as since then I have been circling the spawn points. Today I woke up at 12 P.M server time and circled around the spawn points for about 6 and a half hours, with various breaks in between. I decided to join a Naxxramas 25 new applicants trial run as I was getting extremely bored of doing the same thing, 4 hours later I come out and check the spawn points again and to my surprise there she is ! I tamed here (this time I was specced for it, no more FML moments.) I caught him/her but then realized respeccing into BM just to use this pet is pretty ridiculous, so there goes 4 days of farming her/him gone, but there she/he sits in my stables waiting for that one day for BM to get buffed.

I found and tamed Gondria early one morning after circling the Basin for Loque. Instead of finding Loque that morning I found King Krush. Killed my hunter three times :s so logged onto my DK in Stormwind. Ran over hopped the boat to Borean flew to Basin and extracted my pound of flesh out of Krush. Took a trip to Zul'Drak and 5 minutes later was taming Gondria. The spot I found him was close to Zim'torga. Not sure exactly. Actually spotted Loque late one night right after swapping Humar for Gondria at the Nessinwary camp. Flew over the bones and saw Loque. Flew back to camp swapped Gondria for Humar and flew back and a shammy was killing her :( So a couple of days later a pally informed general chat "That rare cat is up". I guess I beat all the hunters in the Basin to whispering them as to the location. The pally invited me, they tapped Loque, I got there and tamed her. Sent the pally 500g. :D

At 1:45 a.m. central time, found and tamed this beautiful creature at coordinates, 67.8,77.2. Camped for several days and nights seems to me that she only comes out in the a.m. But this pet is well worth the wait, just awesome.

Started looking for her on monday, on and off for total hours of around 20 hrs, starting to get serious snow blindness and that growing feeling of does it exist, is it bugged, has someone just killed it at the last known sighting.

when at 08:40 gmt on Doomhammer I managed to tamed this wonderfully looking pet at 63.6 , 43.0.

I used,NPC scan and a target macro as a confirmation back up as npc scan was going off on other hunters tamed Gondria, almost casuing me to have a heart attack as I franticially searched looking for her, only to find it as a pet to another lucky Hunter.

Tamed on Twisting Nether server, 9:30am EST, 27 July 2009.

Had some time to kill before work, figured I'd log in and see if I could find this guy. I didn't expect to, I've never had any luck with these rare mobs and I don't have the patience to camp the spawn/check every hour. Was flying over and noticed 3 Alliance hunters near the area, figured they were hunting him too or had already tamed him. Passed over the 77, 70 spot and there he was. I panicked a bit, dropped 30 feet out of the sky right on top of an icepaw bear, dropped a trap and started tame with the bear beating on me. Wasn't expecting the sucker to leap over my trap, so had to reposition without trapping the wrong mob. Tamed just in time for him to pull bear off me, killed the bear and bandaged just as 3 Alliance hunters showed up. They didn't gank me like I expected, just turned and ran off the way they came. I even got a /salute from one.

I got this pet today near Zim'torga when I was leveling my alt hunter :). Was MM at the time and I totally freaked out, even though it was like 3 am.. I had someone come over to tag and CC it out of sight of everyone else so I could go respec!

Just tamed him at 69.49. 2:03pm on Hydraxis. I landed, abandoned my pet, laid trap and started tame.

Alliance Hunter landed, abandoned his pet, laid trap and then shot Gondria. I feigned death and waited. Alliance hunter got attacked by slime things and got killed.

I got up, laid trap and started taming again. This time I got him. Was feeding him when the Alliance hunter came back for his corpse. He was yelling at me, but just my luck, I couldn't understand him. So I thanked him for the greetings and flew off.

May just be a coincidence, but on a previous comment, ginsbork63 says he tamed at same time/same place on a different server.

Go to your interface then go to camera and make sure you have ur camera birds eye view so you can find the pet easier but kinda hard to notice him thats why nukes macro will be helpful xD

Tamed him last night on my Hunter at 77.70 around 6:30 pm ST on Terenas Server. Wasn't really looking for him, just happened to notice a yellow dot mixed in with some reds and did a mouse over on my mini-map and saw the name.

Flew down, stored my current pet and started taming. Got attacked by two bears while taming but kept on channeling. Wound up dieing but I got him

I tamed this beautiful beastie today just a few minutes ago.<333 I'm so glad I decided to check out ZD today. My NPC scan didn't pick him up though, but my track beasts did. I swear, I about gave myself a heart attack because I was so excited. Quickly switched to BM spec, aspect of the viper, chug down a mana drink, call out stabled pets, put it away, ice trap, arcane sting, tame beast... And ta-da! Gondria was mine, muahahaha. :3

I've already spazzed to my guild about this wonderous time, and my friends in psst.

But, oh my god! Gondria's just gorgeous. :3 I've been having difficulties switching back to survival spec, because I really don't want to put away such an amazing pet.

It's actually quite odd, I've been spending about a month scavenging SB for Loque, only to give up, and decide to check out ZD for Gondria, and sha-bam. I've only checked for him I think four times vs. the countless times for Loque'nahak. :o

Anyway, he's totally worth it. Spirit Strike is the nommiest pet attack I've seen in a long while. ^^

Omg I just Landed this capture yesterday...it was so cool i was flying around Zul'drak just farming ore and decided to give it a look around to see if he was there....well he wasn't so i windowed out to check on wowhead for spawn points to make sure i was in the right area.. and just as i brought wow back up poof there he was spawned right below me lol. I freaked i wasn't even in the right spec and i still had my cat that i really like (think god for called stabled pet now =) ) so i dropped off my mount respeced called a different pet dismissed it and BAM got this dude to add to my collection! He's awesome, does moonfire its like I'm running around with my husbands druid lol.

Found him last night at 67, 72 on my pally by accident as i was talking about how i wanted it for my hunter. My friend relogged on his lock to hold it for me, but before he got there, a 80 hunter showed up, but he bought me some time cause he was dismissing his pet, so i tagged it, and he tried taming it and kept say "leave plz. plz. plz. plz." to which i said "no". He tries giving me a sob story "I've been searching for 5 days, plz, let me tame it." so i told him "5k gold" and tries telling me that he has it on his alt and that he'll give it to me after i let him tame it. So my friend shows up, picks it up for me, i buff him and relog. I take my time as i have to respec bm from survival, and have no epic flight so im flying on the flight path while speccing, and i relog 3-4 times to heal my friend as gondria is beating on him and the hunter keeps trying to tame it and pleads with him. I show up on my hunter, drop a trap, distracting shot him and begin taming it, but the hunter shoots him out of my trap and threatens to kill it. I relog on my pally, to heal my friend and buff, and we sit there for 30 minutes, trying to get this kid to give us 2k gold and we were honestly considering the offer, but he thought i would try to tame it while he was gone. I made him one final deal, "either get the gold, or you'll kill the thing you want most." to which he gives his usual responce of "ill give you the gold after i tame it." I get back on my hunter, trap, distracting shot, and start taming it, and forced him to kill gondria. After we distributed loot and stop laughing in vent, i skin it in front of him to add insult to injury and then go off to sholazar to farm leather.

I've found this cat 3 times in 2 weeks.

1st time i found it for my Horde hunter
2nd time i asked guild chat if any hunter wanted it, so a guildie got it.
3rd time i found it for my Ally hunter.

Use the macro to find it, or you will fly right over the top not knowing. The cat is SWEET, is really all i can say about it. Not one you will replace too soon. However you do need to be bottom of the tree BM to tame it. Also, it's been level 77 each time Ive found it.

And if you have Duel Spec , this pet will only summon if your in BM, change out to survival or MM, and you will need to have another pet.

To everyone else that is hunting this pet, keep trying . and you will get it

Tamed at 12:52 server time. Southeast spawn point. I had been camping Loque'Nahak in Sholazar and finally given up due to a bot-hunter with a level 80 spirit beast who was camping his spawn points and kept setting off NPC scan.

I flew into ZD with no real hope of finding her at 12:50ish. I got to that spawn point and bam, NPC-Scan popped the alert. I was sure some other hunter was there with a pet, but no, there she was, all yellow-named and meandering along. I somehow managed to land, dismiss my wasp, and drop my trap, with a brain that had completely turned off. I started taming, a bear aggroed, I kept going, and she was mine.

I couldn't breathe.

Sometimes, magic happens.

I been using Npc scan for a while now and a friend told me about Silverdragon a while ago. So today I decided to give it a shot.
I decided to try it out in zul drak and was flying in and Gondria popped on my screen. I immediately checked the spawn points but nothing around and I was upset and figured out that it probably was already a tamed pet that had popped. I gave up and logged off to do other stuff. So I came back on not being able to sleep and this time unchecked the tameable box. I was flying around Zuldrak again and next thing you know Gondria popped on my screen around the Altar of Har'Koa. I flew down and put out a freezing trap. Switched to my dual spec of BM since I am a SV hunter and put away my raid wolf in my stable. I hit Gondria with my staff and then she froze and I tamed her. I actually started shaking and the yelled out to my guild. I was so happy and overexcited being my first rare spirit beast caught.

first of all, i should mention that i spent the first month @ 80 camping sholazar to tame loque nahak. i swore that i would NEVER EVER camp a pet again after that many hours (i have uhk'loc as well)

last night, i was headed toward UP to do the daily heroic, and i told my boyfriend to summon me last b/c i wanted to see if gondria just happened to be spawned.

with my mineral tracking on, i flew over the first spawn point, and as expected, saw nothing but cursed offspring of har'koa. then i had the brilliant idea of switching to animal tracking.

WHY IS THERE A YELLOW DOT ON MY TRACKING?
lo and behold, gondria was right there! she was so translucent, i didnt even see her.

at this point, loque nahak was my summoned pet so i carefully used stable to put him away.

i desperately threw down a freeze trap, only to realize i was wayy too far away to lure her into it. screw it, i can take the hits.

hands shaking, i desperately tried to figure out which button was tame beast. after 5 long seconds, i was the proud collector of both gondria and loque'nahak =D

i'd named loque'nahak 'loki' (as from norse mythology), so i figured 'lucky' was a suitable name for gondria.

Having spent over 40 hours looking for Loque and several hours looking for Gondria with no success I had given up for about 2-3 months. Then on a whim I flew to Zim'Torga in ZD the first time I spammed my macro there she was, at 61-62, she was in between 2 other mobs but luckily I didnt pull them. First of all she seemed to miss my Frost Trap but I moved slightly and she was caught, the tame bar seemed to take forever to finish and as soon as she was tamed the 2 mobs attacked. In all the excitement I forgot to note the time but it was, surprisingly, the middle of the day. Very cool looking pet. I called her Celeste after the ghost ship Mary Celeste (as she is hard to see and hard to find lol).

Found him mid afternoon (which surprised me) at 63,43. Soo excited! I didnt spend hours and hours camping either....Just took a fly around all his spawn points when I got a chance. Took me about 3 or 4 days or checking once or twice a day. Maybe hes spawns faster than I thought, or maybe i got lucky, I dunno. Whichever it was, I am soo happy!

I am so happy! I just tamed the beautiful gondria at about 1.15 am( server time) on Vashj at co-ords 69.8, 48.0. About 39 mins before i had killed the giant spider thing.

This completes my set of the twin spirit beast cats as i tamed Loque'nahak just yesterday. A Lot of patience and luck that no one else was camping then have benefitted me...now i need to think of beautiful names for the two of them :)

_npcscan is an absolute godsend and so is the rare elite overlay for your map i really reccomend them :)

I was lucky enough to tame Gondria after about a 4 hour search. Got him in one of the standards locations. I tamed him at 11:55am and went back with a friend that night and he did not respawn during the 6-8 hours time frame. We got in ZD at about 5:45 and stayed until 8:15 with no respawn. There were two of us and the area is not that big so the timers are definitely off. Thoughts?

I tamed Gondria yesterday morning at 11:00 am server time by the Altar of Harkoa.
I wasn't using NPC scan because it wasn't installing right, so I was just using my macro, and beast tracking. I saw a yellow dot in a sea of red dots, and BAM about 20 seconds later she was mine :)

Finally after a month of searching I was able to find her and tame her with no issues. I found her at 67,77 just standing around and circling in a small area.

so about after a week of hitting 76 and camping for loque i gave up and decided to lvl. i hit 79 today and started in the zd area. npcscan goes crazy. i get super hyped. successful tame for gondria at the south eastern spawn point at 6:00. after failing on loque i was feeling lucky and flew back to solazar basin and tamed him around 6:15... dont give up guys. its all luck! F@%K im lucky.

For the past four days, I've been camping Loque'nahak in Sholazar Basin with no luck. Last night at about midnight, I decided to give it up and stick with my current pet. The frustration and time spent on this task just didn't seem worth it any more. So I went to bed after hearthing back to Zul'Drak, where I'm currently questing.

I woke up this morning around 5:45 and decided to do a fly by of the various spawn points for Gondria, another spirit beast in Zul'Drak, before I started questing. I wasn't really expecting to find him, but I figured what the hell. As I approached the far east spawn point (77, 70), my addon, _NPCscan, went off alerting me that Gondria was nearby! I scan the area and there he was! Just patting around in a circle.

So, I'm like, "OMG! I need to tame him before someone beats me to it!" I unmount set a trap and began taming. Suddenly, I get a message telling I'm unable to tame because my level was too low. Gondria is lvl77 and I was at lvl76, four bars away from 77, because I stopped leveling to camp for Loque'nahak. I was bummed. I did a /who to see what other hunters and classes were in the area for the alliance. It was only me and another hunter. I immediately hearthed back to Argent Stand and picked up every available quest and started killing and turning in like a crazy man.

Twenty minutes later, I ding and began flying back to where I saw Gondria. En route, I'm thinking someone has already got him. I'm just SOL again. As I got closer, my addon started going crazy again. He was still there! I dropped off the mount, set the trap and tamed him!

I was actually on my way to do a AV battle when the scan went off...imagine my heart dropping when I was wisked away to a BG as she appeared!

I left the BG and she was no-where to be seen...then another player whispered me that a cool looking cat was near him so I flew over and BAM...hit the ground, set my trap,stepped into it, released my current pet and......

SHE WAS OUT OF RANGE!

I thought.."this is not going to end well" since there was about 3-4 other hunters in the area../who

Like a dummy, I marked her and waited on my trap cooldown buuuuuut...

...an Alliance hunter seen my mark I guess and flew over, great, there goes 3 days of camping for nothing...but wait- whats this?

The night elf was flagged PvP....

...crap, now where did she go?....ahhh, used my hunters mark on the Alliance player...crap

Tamed today at at approximately 6:15 am est on Stormrage US. i cant recall the exact time, but it was at 6:15ish give or take 10 minutes...didnt take long for me to find it. first time looking too. it figures.
I did 2 full passes between the 6 confirmed spawn locations. I checked all around the spawn points pretty thoroughly too just in case maybe it had spawned before i arrived and had since wandered off(if it even wanders away from its spawn point), so i think its safe to say that it spawned at around 6:00 am-6:15 am. it was walking around in a short little randomized path almost directly on top of the confirmed spawn location.

Guildie gave me a heads up to the location of this awesome BM pet today. I found him over by the temple of quetz'whatever (the flying snake goddess one) on the right side near the cliffs of Grizzly Hills. It's such a cool pet, totally worth it. I named it Saber :D (it was Neegal)

Got this pet this morning at 7:20 am Eastern. 6:20 am server time on Eitrigg. Spent numerous days looking for Loque, nahak and gave up a couple days ago. Spent a couple hours a night for 3 nights looking for Gondria with no sightings. Got up this morning and figured I'd give it a shot before work.

On my first lap I found him in the corner by the staircase below Zol'maz Stronghold. Followed the strategy and got the freeze and the tame was simple. I didn't use any macros or add-ons. Just had track beasts up and it was pretty obvious. After a number of fly overs I got pretty good at knowing all the trash mob spawns. And then out of nowhere there is a yellow dot that was never there before! Good luck. My advice would be to try odd hours when population is down.

Don't waste your life camping out. I've spent maybe 60 minutes total game time to tame this.

I usually do a 2 minute fly by in Zul Drak of his spawn points when I'm in LFG or something. If he's not there go do something else!

You will not find him, eventually he'll find you!

Last night 6:56pm Doomhammer, I did a 2 minute round waiting for raid, and there he was at the 77.6 location.

It took me longer to find this guy than it did to find Skoll. The macro works okay, but if you just keep your track beast up and look for yellow markers, it's a lot less hassle.
Finally found him at about 1:45 PM server time on Silvermoon.

Hey all! I managed to catch this beauty yesterday, 8/31/09 around 1:30pm EST. She was around the 77.6,70.5 spawning location. To be honest I wasn't really after her. I had been circling Loque and Skolls areas for the past four days. My husband, on the other hand, spent a week looking for Gondria. Which gives me a fun little story about her capture...

He had asked me to log on for him and capture her through his account if I spotted her. Unfortunately I had forgotten his password and couldn't do it.

After circling Loque's area my NPCscan went off and I landed with adrenaline pumping- only to find out a lvl 80 night elf hunter had just captured him. Disappointed and silently cursing night elves, I flew off to look for Skoll. No luck there either. Now my husband had mentioned that there were a few rares spawning in Gondria's area so I headed over there to see if maybe I could find one, kill it, and gain an achievement. I didn't expect to run across Gondria. Nor did I expect to be awed by her mystic beauty. She blended so well into the snow that all I could see was a little swirl of mist where she was standing. At this point I felt excitement and yet an impending doom. If I caught her I would be happy and have an extremely difficult pet to obtain... and I'd also have a very frustrated husband. But he wouldn't want me to waste this chance, right?

So I landed to tame her. I laid a freeze trap as my current pet appeared. Crap! Quickly, thinking someone else was bound to come within seconds, I dismissed my pet. Only to realize she was too far off for my tame beast. Which meant the trap I laid was useless. Oh well, I thought, no time to lose. I ran forward and hit tame. Yes! She was halfway to being tamed, my hp was hitting 6k and lowering by each passing second, and then along came a bear that apparently was not happy with me. CRAP! Almost there! I can hit a pot as soon as I have her and maybe survive this... oh no! My hp is 1k! Come on!

Then she was mine and off she ran to kill the bear while I potted and band-aided myself. *phew*

Once I had her and she was happy I couldn't resist and had to call the hubby... -_-

Needless to say I'm now spending the next week searching for her for him and getting cold stares over his shoulder...

But she was worth it!

I got mine Gondria on burning blade at the 77,70 coords . I logged on for a quick check after breakfast on my laptop but my Bartender 4 wasnt configured for my laptop and my bars were all over the place. So im struggling using the laptop touch mouse pad to get the trap out and tame it. Luckily that server is a medium pop one and noone else got it. It was also 5 minutes before the server went down today.

Wow. What a pet. My first Spirit Beast. With a name resembling an STD a bit, and looks that could kill, he is truly the best.

The story about how i got him is fairly boring, but yields advice.

I had just installed NPCscan for the sole purpose of finding Gondria. I had been running around Zul'Drak hoping for a spectral purple tiger. I had also camped him for a day and a half with no luck.

I went to bed that night disappointed with low hopes, thinking I would never find the pet of my dreams. But, weirdly enough, I slept like a baby that night. O.o

The next morning I woke up, tired and groggy. I wearily logged in, expecting another blank spawn point.

The blaring sound woke me up, that's for sure. I was frantic, pressing all the wrong keys, but i managed to tame this beauty.

I tamed him on Saturday July 4, 2009, at 8:32 am.

Hunters, GET NPCSCAN. It works very well if you have Cold Weather Flying and an epic flyer. If you patrol the spawn points of the desired creature for 30 minutes every hour, you will find it.

I patrolled gondria's spawn points for none stop 25 hours killed terror spinner 3 times and the Zul drak sentinel once. i was getting tired of it when i took a 5 min break 2 get some food i come back my npc goes crazy it says it finds gondria i look around and just to see a lvl 77 hunter taming the pet.My hours worth of work gone in 20 secs with a questing hunter that named gondria boiches.5mins after gondria got tamed terror spinner pops up and i killed it.

Tamed it today 0930 at a new location that is not provided by you guys , i was told by someone who tamed it last week and he told me the secret locations that not everyone know in the internet. Just one flyover and i saw him , his a netural and shows YELLOW DOT and not red in the tracking beast.

Its not when it spawn or whatever . The hour spawn timer is just a secondary but the primary thing is that you must fly over the locations provided or ask people for secret locations like i did. Because i had been flying around the locations and wondered why there is no gondria for 5 hours and theres only a few pleyers in the zone including alliance and also most of them are level 74 are unable to tame it .

So i asked some guild mate that tamed it last week and he told me that GONDRIA actually also roams around near the Champion of anguish area outside. He doesnt spawn there but he roams there , thats what i had been told so i went there , at first i did not believe my guild mate until i saw gondria sitting there waiting to get tamed . Gondria is a Netural Beast and do not show as RED DOT in the minimap using track beast.

Earlier tonight I tamed Loque at around 9:45 server time on the server Garrosh, so coming off the high I decided to look for the other spirit beasts.

After 3 passes around Zul'drak my NPC Scan went off. I couldn't believe my eyes, that Gondria was stalking below me. This time I was more prepared on what to do, abandoning my pet, dropping trap, and tossing a couple auto shots to pull. At 12am server time, she was mine. The location was at the 77,70 spawn point.

Tamed him a few weeks ago at 5:04 a.m. on Icecrown server. Zul'drak is usually never really populated so he/she is one of the easiest spirit beast to get since Skoll is so new and heavily camped by hunters, and Loque is usually killed for the acheivement. She was at the alter of Har'koa right behind it and it seems to be favourite spot for her. Named her Ceres. I just got Loque so now I have all three spirit beasts. Usually the best time to go for a rare is early in the morning around 4-8 a.m. Good Luck to all you hunters!

After endless days of camping known spawn spots for Spirit Beast 'Gondria', I can confirm that today September 10, 2009, 9 am, I found her patting around location 63.3, 43.0.
On map just below Zol 'Maz Stronghold, SW of the staircase in the corner by the Guardians of Zim "Rhuk.
Very easy tame. Lay down a Freezing Trap, stand on top of trap, fire once to agro, Gondria pounces at you and gets frozen, move back and tame. She didnt hit me once.
What a beautiful pet she makes.

To all the hunters wishing to tame Gondria I would reccomend downloading "MapNotes" and making "mininotes" of all the spawn locations in different colors and just following the route that way. Makes it a lot easier and as long as you fly low I am sure you will get her. EDIT: Using this method I tamed her only 6 hours after starting.

Just tamed this beauty -- The keys are:

Get NPCScan and make sure you clear your cache for WoW

Do the loops after quests and after BGs I do not recommend doing constant loops until spawns as the spawn rate is terrible and it really is a huge waste of time, unless that is your thing =D.

You have to exercise a huge amount of patients and try not to really care if you get it or not but if you are persistent with checking every now and then you will get it!

Camped on Stormscale for 3 days, 16 hours per day. Was pvp lvling in AV so I checked all spawn points after every battleground.. The day after I tamed her (today) I was doing DTK and everyone was slacking as usual so I checked the spawns again and there she was at the first one I checked... -.- I killed her and waited for the first hunter to show up. There I was with my tamed Gondria dancing with the Gondria corpse.

At least it felt good at the moment.

I just tamed Gondria today (Sept 11th, 2009) at 5:45 PM CST. He was walking amongst the bears at 77.1 , 69.5 in all his glorious stealth.

Took two weeks of camping different spawn points but it paid off finally.

I am on the Dalaran server for those who are wondering or trying to get some sort of time stamp / spawn times.

I tamed this awesome pet at 7:10pm Perth time in Australia on the Dath'Remar realm. During the taming, a Frost Leopard jumped in, after taming her, we both attacked the Frost Leopard, then, during the battle, ANOTHER Frost Leopard joined in. The location that I found her, was 61.6 62.9
I was flying around, hiting spam, when it went off.
I tried installing NPCScan, but had no Idea how too.
Anyway, I am very pleased. :)

Finaly Tamed Gondria after 2 weeks of hardwork i finaly found it at 77.67 cords and at 12 Server time. For some reason my npcscan didnt pick her up untill i clicked on her i dk if its a bug or something but im very glad i got her and never give up keep trying hunters.

For hunters wanting to tame this pet i defiantly recomend the addon npcscan and npcscan overlay, when i was searching for this pet it alearted me with sound and screen flash and chat alert. Its a nuertal npc and is a beast if u track it. I found mine at 67.8, 77.2 , hope this helps.

lucky day! =) was in Grizzly Hills and questing for gold and found 2 rare´s. Seething hate and Grocklar. Decided to go to Zul´Drak and take a look if Gondria was there before bed. Checked 3 spawn sites and on the last one i found here :) but i wasn´t BM specced at the time so i had to take HS to dala, portal to IF and wormhole (Engineer) to Howling fjord, FP to Zim´Torga. Thought she would be dead but no, she was still alive. So i put down a frezee trap and started to tame here. All in all it took around 10min for me to respecc and tame here.

Tamed at 06:02 EU game time.
I play NE hunter on Tarren Mill.

I just tamed Gondria last night around 10:18 server time on Suramar server. She is Beautiful and it was a HUGE adreniline rush. My Npcscan went off right as I look at my mini map and saw the yellow dot in the last spawn point on my route. I was shaking so bad I barely could abondon my decoy pet. But I release him, laid down the ice trap and started to tame him. As soon as I was done taming him he popped out of the ice trap and he was mine. 2 seconds later we got aggro of a mob. I was still shaking so bad that I wasnt even paying attention to my surroundings. And as he went to attack I got to see his beautiful spirit strike land right on the mob that had attacked us. He truely is an amazing creature! Well worth the time spent flying around looking for him. Dont Give up, He's out there!

Just created the account so I can post... I just got this fantastic pet on Aggramar no more than 5 minutes ago. Using NPCScan, a targeting macro and a lot of luck. I had just reset npcscan to default settings and flew south across the steps to Grizzley hills and it went off! i hit my marco and targeted but couldn't find him, finally i went around a tree and there he was... Very easy to see with my video card, he wasn't stealthed at all. Following advice from here, i stood in my trap and hit my tame key. he only hit me twice then he was mine! Total search time about 6 hours

Just tamed him this morning around 6:25am(London time) coords are 77. 70. I just had my cold weather training so I looked up the exotic pets and decided i wanted the 3 Spirit Beasts, headed to Sholazar Basin looking for Loque Nahak searched for bout an hour so I thought to myself I'll go to Zul drak and check on Gondria, on my first round the magical yellow dot came up and all of a sudden I felt a rush of blood to my head(been reading bout hunters losing the plot when they encounter this beasts but av always laughed and said they are just being coocoo) I started shaking and lost all coordination first I jumped of my mount without landing luckily I wasn't too high off the ground, then I noticed he was being attacked by this icepaw bear so I drew the bear and let loose on him like I never done before everytime expecting Gondria to flop down dead but he stood firm after dispacthing the bear I threw down my trap initiated tame then I remembered in my haste I had forgotten to abbandon my pet,so I stopped then abbandoned my lovely winterspring frostsaber(a pet that we went through a lot together) broke my heart but oh well started taming again when I finished channeling I cldnt move and cldn't see no new pet then I noticed my server had gone down,I stared at the screen quietly mouthing every foul word that I cld think off cursing my luck but just then Orion mid rate came back online I tried calling pet to see if the taming was successful but alas no. Then looked around frantically and saw Gondria fighting a bear again! Only this time he killed the bear and calmly padded back to his spot. Finally I tamed him with shaking fingers and a pumping heart, voilà WOOHOO like my GF always says he's mine. So that's the story of how on the 29th of Sept 2009 I tamed my first elusive spirit beast and rightly named him Ghostpawxx and I didn't even use any macro or addons plus it took less than 10mins to find him! NOW FOR LOQUE NAHAK!

Just got this amazing-looking beast at 8:40 pm server time, on Whisperwind, location 70,47. Used NPCscan to find him, but if you use that addon, always make sure to delete the Cache folder in WoW before searching.

Haven't seen anything for Gilneas yet, so I thought I'd post. It was really hard for me to even figure out when to search, since no one could give me a "last seen" time. It certainly takes patience. >_<

JUST tamed her at approximately 78.6, 70.6 (that's way south of the Altar of Quetz'lun), at about 1:00-1:05 server time (Oct. 3, 2009). She tried to pounce me and jumped right into my freezing trap instead (hah!), only managed to hit for 144 dmg at the very end, but by then it was too late to escape. Mwahaha........NPCscan is your friend! (had the sound cranked so loud though the alert nearly made me jump right out of my skin!).

~~Now I just have to think of a really good name.~~ Named her "Umbra" to go with the ghost theme I've got with my ghost saber, Eidolon. BTW, I spent a couple of hours a day for the last week before today...and I'm lvl 80.

EDIT: The extra damage from Spirit Strike is really nice and I'd never noticed before, but Gondria's got an extra level on Loque...saves me from having to level her once more! It seems like my pet's doing better DPS these days, but I haven't had the chance to do a real comparison between her and my other cat...I'm hoping it's not just my imagination.

WOW...that's all I gotta say. Well not really. LoL this was a tuff one to tame as I work odd hours so it's hard to always be camped out waiting. Anyways after looking through the post regarding Gondria I finally decided that I would hang out in the area of the Mam'toth (glowing chasim). I spent the better part of 4 days almost wasted as I could've been skinning and making the all so precious gold! Well as fate would have it as I'm getting ready to leave, lo and behold I see a yellow dot on my minimap...my heart began to beat quickly and sure enough it was the elusive GONDRIA! I set a trap fired one arrow and began to tame. I was sooo excited dunno why but I was this is a very kool pet and spirit strike is awesome. I have since renamed Gondria to Aggro a fitting name.

Anyways thanks to everyone who posted their information that helped me get one COOL pet.

I got mine at 2:46 am server time this morning, after flying around for seven hours. She was right beside the Altar of Mam'toth crater, on a ledge at 69.3, 48.3, exactly where people said one of her spawn points were.

She might stay in her spawn locations instead of going on a route like the Time-Lost Proto Drake. When I saw her, she was pacing around in her spawn place.

So my advice is to check all of her spawn locations every half hour or hour, rather than sit in one spot and wait for her. :P

I just killed Gondria while farming the Blood of Mam'toth for a quest.

She was at 70,48 just lurking around. I was on my rogue alt and could not tame her so killing her was a fun option.

She dropped Gondria's Spectral Claw of the Necromancer... a suffix that is not yet listed in the menu of the Ring: 51 stamina, 34 hit, 39 spell power.

Upon skinning her she simply dropped 1x Borean Leather.

Found her near the spot 69.3, 48.3 marked on the map.

She was walking between that snot mob and the troll near the edge of the bluish colored pit.

I dorked it since I was so nervous...tried to body agro, then saw she was yellow, dur...so shot her once, then dropped an ice block trap. Like an idiot( I was nervous) I still had auto attack on her an shot her again while she was ice blocked...I was like, "NNNooooo!"

Anyway, roughed it an stayed alive through the tame although lost most my health. After she turned green, I was like "Yaaaaahhhooooo!

Anyway, previous day I had made like 10+ trips around the spawn points with no luck. After server restart on first trip saw her there. Just spammed a macro button

Tamed Gondria 10:56 am October 18th, 2009 at the 69.8, 48.0 location Kul Tiras server (central time). Frost trap, tame beast pretty easy. Funnily enough I tamed Gondria exactly 45 minutes after I tamed Skoll. Darn good thing I dropped Skoll off on my way to Zul'Drak. Happy Hunting.

Just found Gondria at 69.8,48.0 too (easern side of Mam'Toth crater, under the aquaduct). Been looking for a couple days off and on and got it almost right away about 2am on Firetree. That's right after NPC_scan went off for Grieger too. So I got them both within 10 minutes. BTW, if you use npc_scan, you will almost crap your pants when it goes off. I'm not kidding! lol Very cool looking pet!

Is there any new information as to how long her spwan timer is? The servers restarted for maintenance yesterday. I've been camped here since the servers came back online, patrolling her spwan points, and I have several friends sitting here doing the same thing when I go and do dailies.

She has not spwaned in any of the spwan locations on this map for well over36 hours, because I've had someone here at all times, and on my server this area is really dead. There is rarely more then one or two other people in this area at any one time.

The easy way to tame this beauty:

1) Set up the following macro
/tar Gondria
/stopmacro
/w %t!

2) Bind above macro to wheel up/down

3) Park your hunter at Zim'torga

4) When you wake up in the morning, check the 6 spawn points. A circuit on an epic flyer takes about two minutes.

It is highly likely for Gondria to spawn sometime in the middle of the night and still be alive and well in the morning.

I originally accidentally found her on my warlock while leveling in Zul'drak one morning and, after nuking her, decided she would be a nice pet so I set out to find her on my hunter. On my second morning, sure enough she was there in the spawn point just south of Zim'torga. I am on a high pop PVP server but Zul'drak is more or less empty at that time of day.

WAHOO! Just tamed Gondria today on the Dawnbringer server at 6:46 am server time. She was at Mamtoth beside the blue blobs. I have been circling for days trying to find her and I found her today, Oct 23, on my birthday!

I just tamed Gondria at roughly 10:20am server time.

I had just tamed Loque about 36 hours before after camping him for about 16; and then last night I thought "what the hell" and started camping Skoll in Storm Peaks and he spawned right in front of where I was camping about 45 minutes in.

So then I got greedy and said "I think I may require the trifecta of spirit beasts". So I stabled them all and set out to camp Gondria.

Typically I would camp out over by the cliffs, where the leopards and bears are. But today as I took off I decided I'd make one round before I did that.

The first place I went to as a known spawn area, NPCScan fired off and there she was, lurking in the corner, 63,43. I nearly crapped myself. I shot her with concussive and then accidentally shot her a couple more times before I managed to lay down my frost trap. Finally I managed to do it and began taming. After the taming was done I waited for the few seconds of CD before I could feed her to make her happy, and a stupid bear attacked. Panicked again as she was fighting, afraid she'd leave me, I took that $%^&*!@ bear out as fast as I could and as soon as the fight was over I fed her till she couldn't eat anymore.

Now I can strut around my server as one of the few hunters who has all three Spirit Beasts in their stable--and got them all within about a 36 hour time frame.

After I tamed Loque'Nahak I caught the fever of taming spirit beasts. When Skoll made his appareance in the Storm Peaks I started camping for him. Unfortunatly, without any luck. And so I started making occasional fly-overs for Gondria. Also, without any luck.

So I gave up to make myself one of the few hunters who has more than 1 spirit beast, but took up the habit of flying over the Storm Peaks & Zul'Drak every once in a while.

Tonight I had just cleared Naxx 25 and we were going to go OS with the guild. So I flew over the altar of Har'Koa and suddenly my NPCscan went off. Lo and behold: a miniature of Gondria was on my screen and on my minimap there was a yellow dot.

Miraculously enough I succeeded in landing, respeccing, gaining mana, getting out my trashpet, abandoning it, setting a frosttrap and taming Gondria without anyone bothering me. Within a minute she was mine! ^^

She looks nice. If you want this pet, don't give up! And remember there are always people who are just bound to spoil your day. I saw Gondria once before I got to tame her today, and that was when I saw a fellow hunter killing her.
Just be persistent. These beauties will come to you!

Wow, after hitting 76 on my hunter the night before and going to try and tame Loque'Nahak, which I did end up finding and taming him the first night of looking. So I get so excited once I got Loque, his skin is so sick, I decided I want to get this spirit beast as well, so I'm now lvl 77 after a quick grind of quests, I goto Zul'drak, make my rounds around the rumored spawn areas, nothing. So its now Tuesday morning, normally we have server maintenance downtime starting @ 8am Est on my realm, well for some reason today it didn't go down until 10am, I was making my rounds just after 8am and ran into Gondria, got the tame, there was only one other person in the zone, a 75 warlock. I had begin camping Gondria @ around 3am the night before and hung out in Zul'drak until I got the tame. So I'm very happy at this point, not just need to hit 80 so I can get Skoll.

Just tamed him around 12:50am server time on Rexxar around coords 63.8, 43.4.

Sharpie is the name, and I've been DYING to tame one of these since I primarily run BM. After circling Sholazar for about 30 minutes or so, I decided to give Gondria a try. And with luck, after starting at the Zim'Torga and circling Counter-Clockwise, I saw the yellow dot on my mini-map, scrolled over and literally as I flew toward him I was whispering "OH SH*T OH SH*T OH SH*T" and said the same thing as I tamed him.

At the conclusion of my taming, I promptly alerted my guildmates and received a slew of congrats! The only one who did not gratz me was my fellow hunter Cutrock. I wish all hunters out there good luck in finding a spirit beast!

Happy to say that I too have now tamed this creature. Got home after working a late shift. Logged in at about 3am last night. After falling asleep at the computer at around 4am I woke up at around 6 am to the sound of NPCScan telling me "You Will Die"

Low and behold there was gondria staring me in the face. Easy tame, I was the only hunter on and only needed one ice trap. I have been giddy ever since.

Got so lucky with this one! I have been trying to get Loque'nahak and Gondria for about 2 weeks now, and my husband always flies around the spawn points of the two whenever we are in one of the zones. When we first got to Zul'Drak We were flying the spawn points of Gondria and we found Zul'Drak Sentinel (47.34, 64.51) and not five minutes later we found Gondria (63.5, 42.7, at 15:15 server time:) ) Pure freaking Luck I swear! But I am so happy I got her! Now to get Loque'nahak and Skoll and I'll be a happy camper:D Best of luck to all of you hunters! *luvs*

So this is my story, after finishing a raid i was to level my shaman but i decided to go take a look at it again ...i had been looking for her for almost a week and once i was flying low south of Zim'Torga i spot a yellow dot on my mini map ...at first glance i thought it was one of those Zim'Torga neutral beasts but a few seconds later, my SilverDragon addon flashed telling me i founded Gondria.

I land immediatly just to get attacked by a cat nearby ...BM, no pet and already near, so i was having trouble shooting it ...i decided to run to a place where there were no other mobs with Gondria still on range ...i FD the cat goes away and leaves me to do my job with Gondria ...frost trap under me and taming ...really easy, she never leaped as many say here and never hit me more than once.

It's really a very nice pet ...i'm submitting a screen shot where it is almost invisible (prowled and in the snow where i tamed it). It makes it worth having BM as a secondary spec (which, btw, will get an slight improvement in 3.3).

Tamed on Stormscale US, wednesday around 9pm ST ...coords 61-62.

Replied here because i tried NPCScan but i found SilverDragon to be better ...you don't have to empty any cache at any time and it always founds rare mobs.

I found Gondria yesterday after only searching for about five minutes, maybe less. I've been searching for Loque'nahak and I figured "why not?" so I looked up her spawn points and read the comments here. I used the macro onenation777 posted, and it worked perfectly. I didn't find her at any of her spawn points actually, I found her when I was hugging the walls to Altar of Har'koa to get to a spawn point. I didn't write down the coords.
Gondria-caught. Renamed Glaide.
Loque'nahak-hunting.
Skoll-? not sure yet.

Edit: I'd recommend not bringing Gondria to instances and raids unless your healer likes her a lot. She's as glassy as she looks. I used her for quests and she did fine, but brought her to an instance and she died more often than a clothie.

I finaly tamed him yesterday, im on Arygos server and i logged around 13:30 and stayed on until 17:40 i was patrolling the 5 spawn point until i logged for supper and i came back at 18:35 there he was in the second spot i was patrolling(http://huntsmanslodge.com/2345/got-gondria.htm ) at some point in the afternoon i decided to level my pet in the spawning point( i just got that nice litle wolf in zul for raiding. I saw terror spinner yesterday around 15:30 - 16:00 but not the day i tame gondria. I use the npc scan addon and as far as the taming itself it was real easy i just cast the spell from range and let her pawn me a little and i was done before loosing a little more of my health.

Found out about her two days ago. I highly recommend downloading the addon overlay from wowmatrix. I tried the macro's but could not get them to be effective (operator error?lol).
The overlay addon worked well, showing all six spawning areas.
The first day, after just a few hours, I located Gondria and attempted to tame but was unable to. Prompt said creature was untamable. The secret is, you must have at least 51 points in
Beast Mastery. So, went back and finally paid for duel spec and found a decent BM build.
Went back today and spent about 5 hours flying from spawning point to spawning point.
Finally got lucky in same spot as yesterday...just east of the steps to Heb'Drakkar.
This is an awesome looking pet with amazing druid like abilities. Make sure you do not have a pet summoned and have an open stable slot.Also, placing a freeze trap at your feet is also highly recommended. I'm stoked to have this one...it's very cool.
BTW, if you don't use the macro, be sure to have tracking beasts up. It shows very clearly when Gondria is around. Good luck, it's worth the effort...

I found it! After 4 days of continuous patrol I see it at 61.7, 61.9 in EU Exodar at 01:20 Server time.

One very interesting thing is that NPCScan work with Terror Spinner (the rare spider), but don't work with Gondria for me (a visit to Dalaran make false positive maybe?). I saw it because I was Tracking Beasts and casually I saw the yellow point and mouse over and saw Gondria.

Just tamed Gondria! Nagrand Server, server time 14.30 at 77.71
My hunter is still 77 lvl, and I found her near the bears, killed one with the temporal pet I had, made some space and shot her. Set down a trap, and started taming her ^_^ another bear attacked me and I panicked but all went well and I killed that bear with my new gorgeous spirit beast^^

Finally got mine. Took 3 day, 3 hours the first and second day, and on the 3rd day I tried for 1 hour, quit for awhile, then I logged back in Npcscan immediately went off because I was hovering over him. Hit the the Macro below to get him targetted, because he is hard to see. WOOT

Tamed today after 3hrs 30mins of camping. Logged at 7am to find terror spinner after 1 min! Heard before that Gondria will only spawn after Tspinner is dead? Seems to be the case. Also I recommend using 'silver dragon' add-on. No need for macros!

I found her at 63.6 ; 43.0, the left part of the staircase leading to the area above Zim'Torga, i was just leaving that specific spot to go search elsewhere for her, then she spawned as i was leaving, I saw her yellow icon appear on the mini-map. Very easy find tbh, was very lucky with the fact that no camping was required, took less that 5 mins. No special tacts used, just the usual trap 'n tame.

I found Her and Tamed Her today, 2nd day looking for her... I marked all the spawn zones on My mini map, and used npcscan... But you must clear the cache, on npcscan, every time it goes off... Today, I found him around the 77, 69 area (near the cliff edge between the Altar of Har'Kora and the Altar of Quetz'Lun). I stood on a freeze trap, and Gondria still was able to become tamed.

Also beware those who do plan on taming him, and he's in that area. There are bears that can kill you if you don't freeze either the bear or Gondria. I would suggest freezing Gondria seeing as how he is the Elite.

Edit 1: Oh, yeah. How I found him was that I did "/tar Gondria" as a macro and put it as my 1. Eventually you will find him (not he is Yellow and not Red).

Edit 2: I don't remember the server time... but I did find him after less than a day of "looking" for him and/or Loque.

Edit 3: Last edit, I promise... After you tame him, he is no longer Elite so if you want him just because he's elite, don't bother.

Just tamed him at the spawn location West of the crater south of the Altar of Mam'Toth.

I was leveling mining on my DK, and I saw him as I went to grab a Cobalt Deposit. I then promptly logged out to my hunter, who was at the Sons of Hodir quartermaster, and got attacked by a passing Alliance paladin. I disengaged off the ledge, popped aspect of the cheetah and ran down the path until I could mount and fly over. Once I got to the beast, I put down a freezing trap and tried to tame him but was low on mana because I had just swapped to BM spec. So I put on aspect of the viper and spammed tame beast until I got him.

So the hunt wasn't so difficult for me. Actually getting to the mob and taming it was a pain!

Found this cat at around 66,72 while levelling my Death Knight. She/He gives massive amounts of experience - about 16K unrested (though with BoA chest and shoulders). Definitely worth killing if you don't have any hunter friends who want to tame it.

I got gondria a second time on fizzcrank server. I already had him as a pet, so i asked trade and guild chat if there was any hunters that wanted to tame gondria. There was no takers so I took the drop, which was the spectral claw. I found gondria in Zul'Drak of course at grid loc 69.4, 48.2. at 9:40 a.m. on Jan, 2nd 2009. Finally tamed my very first Spirit Beast 3 days ago now. It was this guy and it's the first time I have ever seen any of the Spirit Beasts other than as already tamed pets. I was feeling really bad playing BM as long as I have (4 years) and being one of the few with none of them in my stable. ( I never have resorted to camping spawn points though) I found him just south of the spawn point closest to Zim'Torga with my targeting macro, flew down and was able to quickly tame him without even having to use a trap. I renamed him to Spectre even though the name I have for the cat I tamed at level 14 would fit him better than it does the Moonstalker--- Moonfire.

Spawned when I was lvl 76, 1 bar away from 77 and I was grinding the mobs around her fast as possible, but a 80 ally paladin came and killed it before i could ding and tame, and killed me :(

I did repay the favor though when I dinged 80 and killed an ally while they were attacking time-lost proto drake, then proceded to kill the drake myself even though I don't have the skill yet to ride it haha

Sad news Gondria seekers.. you can no longer use this or other exotic pets unless you are BM specced. If you tame Gondria as BM and then switch over to MM or Survival Gondria will dissapear from your side and when you attempt to call pet a message will be displayed that you cannot control exotic pets in this spec. Was a serious bummer to find this out after hours of scouting for her :< just wanted to give a heads up to any mm/srv hunters that this info might save some time.

Yes I got the sweet looking beast after searching for over a week now I have it. I would leave you a screen shot but I dont know how to post it. I found it at 3:20 AM server time on Mok' Nathal server at coords 67.3 and 78.1 it is different than from where everyone else has been finding him. But it does look great goes right along with my spirit bear i tamed. To all the hunters out there dont give up cause that is what I was getting ready to do. Make sure to put your freeze trap down cause she will prounce on you so stand right in the trap.

Don't use macros, try using the add on "NPCscan" it will instantly warn you whenever the mob is close, no macro spamming and you can actually go AFK and do something else and it might find it.

Just tamed on Bloodhoof server at 9:09 pm server time using the macro that has been posted on this website. thank you to who ever came up with that. i almost fell out of my chair when i whispered "Gondria" to myself :). Tamed at the spawn point of 69,48. Happy Hunting

Tagged him with Scorpid Sting then dropped my Freezing Trap and tamed without ever being touched.

Just hit lvl 77 and got my cold weather flying and went straight for Zul'Drak. Flew to the closest spawn point at 61.7 62.2 and bamn my NPCScan went off saying Gondria! Landed dumped my core hound and dropped an ice trap, twenty seconds later got my third spirit beast. Which is cool because I just got Loque 3 days ago and Arcturis last weekend too! LOL Gotta catch them all. ;p Oh yeah 4:50pm on Runetotem. I wish Blizzard would let us buy more stables because I would hate to get rid of my Humar or Rak'Shiri to make room for Skoll.

Just tamed her at 11:04 SERVER time on Turlayon on 2/12/10.

NPC Scan did NOT go off. Luckily I caught her on mini-map with the track beasts yellow dot.

She was the last spirit beast I needed to have the full set. I am the extremely proud owner of all Spirit Beasts in the game :)

Skoll then Loq, then Arc, and now Gond!

The hardest thing about hunting this pet was when you dont have tracking on and you look at the ground from your flying mount you olny see 2 moveing eyes.Hunters, if your looken for Gondria i suggest you track beasts because you see him on map, as a white dot,also get NPC_scan addon and set it to alarm, becuase you can go afk and be in the other room and hear the big alarm,so always have a free pet to jump down and start tameing.Trolls = Make sure you Beserk because that reduces cast of tame by 5 seconds.

Tamed it today 12:20 pm eastern time on Spirestone server, aprox coordinates 67,78. All my thanks to Carmelcorn/rogue for the heads up. It has been a long time looking to tame a spirit beast. Almost gave up on the game because of the frustration, now it got mine. Will look for the others randomly, if I find any other it will be an added bonus. Now, I'm having fun training Gondria to level 80 and trying to figure what to name it. Npcscan and the overlay work great, but did not really need this time because location was already pin pointed by group member that was already there. Thanks again Carmelcorn, you rock.

I got her today. I was in the basin hunting Loq when a friend found her around 77, 70. Friend asked if I wanted her which I was shocked being she was a hunter too. So I hearthed to dal jumped on my slow flyer and set off. Got there droped my frost trap but a bear walked into it hunter friend grabbed the bear as I started to tame. Got tame shes mine!

I just caught Gondria this morning at 8:15 game time. My story is like others who searched for this Beauty for hours with no luck just to log on real quick in the morning right before heading to work and not being on for 5 minutes before the NPC alerts. There the translucent cat was waiting for me. Yeah she new I was calling. Found her at the 77.70 area. Made my morning.

This guy should be pretty easy to find now if you want to tame it, as Zul'Drak is usually empty! I have flown through numerous times while doing dailies and will almost always find one of the rare elites, if not more. I recently found the Sentinal, Terror Spinner, and Gondria on one fly through. I would say search early morning or late night and you're almost guaranteed to find Gondria.

I tamed Gondria yesterday - realm Haomarush at the cords near 62/62 around 6:20 pm (USA). All I used was the npcscan along with beast tracking and had no problems.

GOT 'ER! 3:30am server time (Eonar) at the Northern-most spawn location. I really recommend flying in occasional circles to check all the spawn-points. Also, listen to all the comments about the frost trap and pouncing. The first time I saw her, one night earlier, she jumped over my frost trap and I failed. Drop it right at your feet and then get in one shot and start taming. Or better yet, since she's neutral, drop it at her feet and start taming. And remember that if you have a dual talent spec, you won't be able to play with her when you're not using your BM spec. Still, awesome kitty!

Tamed 5:15 on Dragonmaw:US by a level 77 Horde Blood Elf.

I was doing Tail's Up and I went automatically to a place with bears, I noticed a yellow dot on the map amidst the red bear dots, but dismissed it. I shot a bear with my dart gun, then turned to see what was the yellow dot, and I swear i had an automatic nerdgasm, it WAS GONDRIA! I immediantly abandoned pet and began taming, and felt like i was on sheer adrenaline,however she pounced too quick and a Guardian of Zim'Rhuk 3 shotted me, I died, and was screaming "FASTER DAMN YOU GHOST!" and finally, rezzed. A few seconds to eat, apply Aspect of the Dragonhawk, and retamed,this time I had frost trap set up ok, and she pounced, and at 15% health she was tamed! As natural I immediantly screamed and spammed my friends and guild, and cheered so loud it scared my dog! I named her Frostbite and now will level up with her ever reminescent of this moment,:D

She defently is a beautiful creature let alone a pet. Yes she can be found at 77.6,69.2 Just tamed her, heart raceing, just after i tamed Loque'nahak, again, i was so excited, i was on vent too lol. Squilling about my gold i had found. I am now looking for skoll and Arcturis I sugest Dling NPCing, it worked and its a rush, Remember your not the only one looking for them. So if its the same faction tameing him/her Don't kill it. let them have it, then come back the next day at the same time. and you might be lucky. Then again if its the oppiset faction, murder them :D then tame it right infrunt of them (Well don't be too much of a ass) Don't wanna be getting camped. remember some kidos take this game to extream. Hunters/Achevement #$%^&s.

- Tamed today, shortly before noon, to coordinates 68.0/77.0 at Zul'Drak, on italian server "Know Your Destiny" (KYD).
Simple and easy approach to tame; Gondra looks like not offensive animal, so it is identifiable by the yellow ball by Hunter's Beast Track.
Note: need to clean the area from various decidedly unfriendly mobs and animals.

Hey Guys, after finding Arcturis just about an hour and half ago, decided to take camp at 68,78 spot. Was just watching tv while camping and low and behold saw Gondria just walking up to me. My Npc scan didn't go off which surprised me but no complaints from me because there was no one else in the area to bother me with taming her. Oh and it was around 12:30pm server time on Proudmoore. I have had very good luck in the past few days when I first started to look for all the spirit beast by just camping one spot. Will post a pic of my Gondria later. So good luck hunters!

Found Gondria 3 times in the past week, (Once at 6 server, and the other at 4 server) let my best friend tame her, then my brother, and when I found her the third time (about 8am Server, Madoran) I asked all the hunters I could find, and found one who wanted her, it was easy to keep her tagged (I'm a heavily geared tank) and I just held her until they got there

Edit: Up to 4. Another Hunter sent home happy. I also tried to let someone tame Arcturis, and a gnome mage killed him before the tame could happen. (5am on Gondria.)

just got it and almost had a cow cos i had not abandoned the random snow lepard i had been boredom taming earlier -.-

he so does fly thru the air but by the time i had abandoned the trap had gone so i was just taming it with nothing lol wasnt a problem :)

sad but i had wanted thisd pet since i was lvl 20 lol and i dinged last night and straightaway flew to zul drak

no luck i flew around the spawn points a few times , nothing so i eventually gave up, over slept and logged on in same place quick few fly arounds still nothing so i relogged did a few randoms then logged back on for a quick scout got to said area with sentinals and ding! npc scan picked it up and with a huge green triangle on its head i cant miss it lol

im really pleased with him :)

Got her yesterday around 23:30 servertime, Saurfang Europa. The location 69,9 just behind the big stairs. I spent some time flying around, but was doing some dungeons by the way. So when I come back from a dungeon, mounted on my drake, I saw the yellow spot on the minimap. No NPC-track or something like that, just Blizzard's regular minimap =) And she was all alone behind the stairs so I landed, stabled my pet an out down frozen trap. Then started to tame her. As a lvl 80 I hardly lost any health, easy, and she's a beauty. A cool cat. I named her after my mother's nick name, Bocha.

Goos luck anyone tryimg to tame her, it's worth the time!

Right after I dinged 77, I looked all spawn points and find her (for some reason, I think it is she, not he) at the final one at 63,43. Trap, autoshoot, it jumped on me, went to trap and then I started taming her. No problems.

i feel bad for you guys who camp contuniously for her.. i woke up at 2:40 in the morning and flew down and there she was.. i freaked out, i've only been looking for her for 2 days and probably only searched for 30 minutes in all. but i know how you feel to be waiting and waiting for a spawn. i've been looking for loque for 2 weeks now, at least 3 hours a day.

Just to keep this at the top, It's doubtful she shares a timer with the 3 rares in Zul'Drak. As I tamed Terror Spinner and Gondria within 5 minutes of each other.

Leveling, my DK thru ZD, i found Terror Spinner and qucikly switched to my Hunter and ran over. I was lucky to be able to tame Terror Spinner. Decided to do a quick check around for Gondria and I was lucky found her at 63,43.

I am now the pround owner of 3 Spirit Beasts, Loque'nahak, Skoll, and Gondria.

Spent a couple of days randomly searching the hotspots in Zul'Drak and came upon Gondria at 63.4, 42.9. Apparently the hotspots seem to really be where to look. Don't bother looking anywhere else. I spent too much time looking everywhere else.

just caught her on Moonrunner (horde) at about 1:30 in the morning. I had been searching for days, constantly looking. Yet this time, like ive read about a lot of stories, I was just doing dailies and decided to take a quick look. I think the best times to look for her are really early in the morning, when you know no one had caught her. On a side note, I also killed some really rare elite (spider) in almost the exact location. Tip: Use NPCscan to find her, helps a ton! coords were 68,76. Good luck

Ive tamed Gondria today after 2 days of camping. I came back from a pc reparation and I thought " Hey maybe there's some spirit beast now"!. First i went after the bear, but he wasnt there. Then I flew on my mount to zul drak and I found her between Altar of Har'Koa and Altar of Quetz'Lun. My Npcscan was ringing bells and I targeted her, tame her and now shes mine! It was 15 minutes ago after i posted this commend. Im on the realm Aerie Peak EU. There is a fifth spawn spot that isnt shown on the map above!

Ok, a little background...

I camped Arcturis for 4 days(!) to tame my first beast, so imagine my shock when I flew to Zimtorga to do an argent daily and decided to do a quick lap just to see if Gondria was around. I flew from the southern spawns eastward and then up to the northern spot by the stronghold. I was shocked when npcscan bonged! He was there! Naturally my adrenaline kicked in as I dropped from the sky, stored my current raiding wolf and threw out my ice trap arrow then tamed. The trap broke at 1 sec left to tame and finished just as he pounced. Not having to camp this bad boy is karma payback for my long wait on the bear.

Details: Killrogg, tamed at 11:04 am server, northmost spawn point.

Tamed her on bladefist just now. I found her just ten seconds (!) walk from Zim torga. Just when I had given up for today and was about to leave for dalaran :)) So I go over, place my trap and bam! Creature is untameble :'( Apparently I had forgotten to click exotic beasttaming, when I had respent my talents earlier that day... So I hearth to Dalaran, go to IF, go back all the way... and yes! There is a god :) She was still there, so I'm happy , she's gorgeous

Tamed Gondria this morning around 3am server time on Dethecus - right before server maintenance. She was located at 77,71. I'm not sure if I passed over her several times before she finally loaded onto my screen, or if she just happened to spawn the last time I passed that area. Just like Loque'Nahak, she is NEUTRAL, so her name will be in yellow, and she will not attack upon first seeing you. Keep this in mind in case you are using a macro to find her - don't give up because you never see a red target. As others have mentioned before me, put a frost trap right at your own feet, shoot, and untarget right away. She'll pounce onto you, so if you move away from the frost trap, she'll never hit it.

At level 79, I accidentally shot her twice - once after she was trapped - but managed to survive long enough for the cooldown to pass and I could re-trap.

There was absolutely NO competition for her. This was the second day I have seen her in a row, at the same time (6am eastern time - when I wake up for work). The first day, another hunter had just tamed her and hearthed out. This time, it was me who got lucky. Both times, she was in the same general area. I have not spotted her in any other area.

Also like Loque'Nahak, this beast will moonfire targets. She can use growl, but she can't hold aggro as well as my orange tiger from Stranglethorn Vale. Upon taming she had 19 talent points to spend, and 10,599 health. Walking around any major city, even for a few minutes, usually ends with tons of questions about her, as not many people know about it yet. In prowl mode, she's virtually invisible against any background (even dark places like caves and such). My party members couldn't even see her.

Eats the same thing as other cats - uncooked meats and fish.

Grabbed this one when I wasn't actually even looking for it (as I had been doing for hours previous to running Gundrak). Found it at 77,69. Easy tame with a frost trap arrow even though another leopard was attacking me at the time. Showed up as a yellow dot on beast tracking, fyi.

I am not so sure whether or not I am the Hyjal server first tame or not, but I finally tracked this bad boy down at 3:30pm today after 2 very looong days of flying around Zul checking all of the known spawn locations. Was just out farming chilled meat where all those frostpaw bears and snow leopards are and i found her, lol. i quickly killed the leopard attacking me switched to bm, abandoned one of my many cats, waited impatiently for enough mana to cast tame beast and voila, pretty new pet :P

Got him today! Wifey said all i had to do is have fun and enjoy my b-day. Soo, i figured i'd level my pets. Couldn't find a good leveling spot, went to petopia to search for a good leveling dps'r and there was the drool inspiring Gondria! I quickly found all the coordinates of reported spawns (listed below) added notes to my carbonite map on those coordinates and started flyin around em all with my map minimized and track beasts up. Gondria showed as a golden dot on my sexymap hud.

Spawn points reported were: 70,48; 77,68-71 ; 61,62; 67,77; 72,44; 69,48; 63,43.

Found gondria at 63,43 btw on my third time around! woot!

Ooooohhh do I feel LUCKY! I just tamed this pretty Kitty today on the Azuresong server. I hit the 5 major spots listed through the Questie addon, and ironically, I found this Cool Kat out in the open walking around ZulDrak at Coord's 69.4 x 47.8. Near the area with a couple trolls and a bunch of slimes wandering around. Note that this kitty likes to Pounce, so just put the Freeze trap near your feet and you will be fine. This cat has a very light purple coloring to its skin, and against a snowy background it's a lil' difficult to spot from a distance. Looks kinda like a moving cloud at first glance.

Happy Boxing Day! What a day to get a pretty kitty! I found Gondria at 66.1 X , 77.0 Y - near Kolramas. I didn't even see him at first but I had a macro for targeting him and there he was! It was on Mankrik about 22:55 server time.

1/13/2023 Realm: Ashkandi, Tamed Gondria at 12:20 pm game time. Found him at location 76.12, 71.34 (South of Alter of Quetz'lun, the border between Zul'drak and Grizzly Hills). It was an easy tame, just put down ice trap.

Just tamed in location 61, 62. The area between Zim'Torga and Altar of Har'Koa.
Warmode ON.

Basically I went to all the locations in normal mode, didn't find Gondria. Ported to Valdrakken, turned Warmode on and came back. Gondria spawned immediately upon reaching this first area.
