A new vendor has been added to Dalaran; the Animated Constellation. This vendor will exchange items from Ulduar 10-player Hard Mode for a new Sidereal Essence currency.

Developer’s Note: The newest iteration of Titan Rune Dungeons is not yet available for testing, but when it becomes available, we’ll do a full breakdown of this vendor and how rewards in Defense Protocol Beta will function.

Add to that they scaled hard mode loot higher so people would have a greater reason to do hard modes.
All for them to ship it to dungeons loot in a ridiculous grind.

They realistically should've scaled H++ loot to naxx 25 loot as that would be a +13 on all loot as that is one difficulty higher.
But no they are doing a +26, which removes most of the reasons to do Ulduar 10m and hms as they didn't scale 10m hm to drop 25m hm, which also removes a lot of the reasons to do ToC 10 normal as ToC was added as a raid catchup.
Which also makes it so dungeons can drop better loot than Ulduar 25m, which is not something Classic should do.

You should want to do previous raids to get into new content, that is what makes gear meaningful in Classic.
Gear is one of the main reason to stick up through a patch it needs to be handled better if they want people to care about staying through a patch.Comment by Wixman1234This isn't a good change, it trivializes the effort involved in killing hard mode ulduar bosses. You shouldn't be able to get anything beyond normal uld gear with these badges. I mean protocol Alpha is just 200 ilv naxx gear. They're really screwing things up now. I would say it would be great if let's say daily heroic++ drop it, like heroic+ drops now the satchel. additionally hard mode bosses should drop 1 (or 1-3 depending on hard mode).

it devalues 10m HM. people won't make the effort to kill Alga pre-nerf. its a really odd thing to do, since you can't get 226 stuff from dungeons currently, but now you'll get 239? wtf are they doing?Comment by bubahaThis could've been a currency you obtain from killing bosses in ulduar itself that you could use to buy ulduar gear with, would keep the content relevant and help alleviate bad rng for people who raided the entire phase and didn't get their drops. They could've even attached a stipulation that you have to have killed x boss once before you can buy the loot from it. How many people do you think just flat out quit classic after they clear these boring faceroll raids for weeks/months without even seeing their items drop? I'm sure the growing pile of dead servers every single expansion is just a coincidence though and has little to do with how unrewarding the endgame is for how time consuming it is.

One of the main reasons gdkp exists is because people want to at least get SOMETHING out of their time spent raiding other than a pointless parse number and in those even if your item doesn't drop/you get outbid at least you're making a lot of gold for doing the content. God forbid they add some form of determinism for raiding even if its AFTER the tier already ended. They could very easily just add a currency from naxx/uld to buy naxx/uld gear off a vendor in Dalaran, bump the ilvl of heroic dungeon drops for running them on + or ++, and be done with it then and thereComment by lac9070Man all these people complaining in this forum shows the toxicity everyone mentions as the problem with wow classic. Gear catchups aren't just for mains you know. If you still have trouble doing 10 man full HM after 4 months, you're just bad at the game. No amount of catch up gear can make up for that.
This system is gonna be great for skilled people who want to get alts ready for togc-icc without having to grind through naxx and ulduar again, AND at same time it will cater to more casual players.
If you're worried about this system creating players with HM gear but no HM knowledge, i'm afraid this is already the case with GDKPs and boosting systems (something that has been in WoW since the dawn of time), so this will change absolutely nothing. If you don't like this risk, either join a goddamn guild and stop doing PUGs or learn how to check for achies and logs.
