Isha Awak can found as far south as Northwatch Hold or he could be right near Mahren Skyseer. He's a level 24 mob and there are aggressive mobs in the sea as well. But if you can get him alone, it's a quick fight.

The one trick to remember, is that if you are casting spells, he will resist all unless you are physically in the water, or on one of the small islands nearby. The aggressive mobs bearby can be handled without getting agro from Isha Awak, so kill them off, then take him out.

You might not find him at 63,53 so check at 65,47. He spawns at both places, and there's a tiny, tiny, tiny chance that he may not drop the heart, as he did it with me. He's fairly easy at 27, so I would suggest getting to that level before trying to kill him. Otherwise, kill the mob first and then head for him, if you're going at a low level.

Isha Awak spawned for me at 65.48 - she was level 27 and I easily soloed her as a level 27 fire mage - didn't even lose 10 per cent health. She's listed as skinnable.

Soloable at 25 easily by most classes. The mobs in the area are in the 18-20 range, so you have some leeway as far as aggro goes. 25 feral druid; prowl, Shred->Rake->Claw->Rip and auto attack. I remember doing this on a shaman at about the same level. Not hard at all.

I don't use the cord. mod, so the supplied screenshot really helped. Basically you swim until you can see the front of the stronghold, and there it is is surrounded by a mob. I easily soloed him as a lvl 24 feral druid, though I made sure all the surrounding mob were dead first. Just go at it as a cat then as your health goes halfway down, pop a healing potion (after shapeshifting back to normal first of course) - or just use a healing spell when you have 3/4 of your life left.

Simple and quick.

I killed him with my 19 Hunter (half-twinked but just the gear no enchants) i let my pet attack him until he got aggro then i jumped in the water i lay down a trap then i shot him with concussive shot, serpent sting, arcane shot, multi-shot and so on until my pet died he was almost dead about 5% health left and then i just used 1 raptor strike to knock him down.

Just tried on my affliction Warlock with a void walker at level 22 and failed. I figured I would try since the patch took away his eliteness. He resisted just about everything I threw at him even thought i was in the water. Got him down to halfway but 22 is just too low, at least for me with 2 marks in Suppression. I will wait until I get another level or two. Coords are spot on.

Just did it with my lvl 22 warlock. Basicaly just sent my void on it and then kept imolating and corrupting him. Once my void got down to low health i blood funeld him up. Pretty tough one but not too hard.

Just did this as level 21 hunter with a level 20 wolf. It was incredibly difficult, and took probably five tries to pull off. I had no problem damaging Isha Awak, but my wolf was seven levels below it and couldn't land growl (level 3). However, the last time I tried, she managed to land it twice in a row, which was enough to hold agro the rest of the fight somehow. At that point it was just a matter of blood fury + arcane shotting it to death.

If you're going to try this some levels below the usual for the quest, make sure to pull it close to land. If you don't think you're going to pull it off, run up onto the shore and it will stop attacking you. This also makes it recover hp immediately, and it will move back to its spawn location shortly after, but if you pull him to a smart location, it's a very safe fight.

Just did it as a 23 Shaman. A standard tough monster, with moderate spell resistance. Just keep trying different attacks and keep pounding away with whatever physical attack you have in the meantime. Don't get thrown by the spell resistance--and as Rvofu said, retreat onto land if necessary.

If a Shaman can do it, anyone can! Hang in there.

I wandered by on a herb run when a level 21 hunter was attempting awak and couldn't complete the fight because awak kept Evading part way into the fight. I grouped up with him to try and help and not only did he Evade, we both got DCed and killed.

On the 4th try we downed him fast, and I was using all spell damage on him and he didn't bug. Don't know what was causing the bug. We were both in the water for the fights.

Very easy, just make a Macro with "/target Isha Awak" and skim the coastline on foot. You should be able to spot him easily that way, but don't fight him on land or you won't land a hit. I'd recommend a level 26 for this quest min.

tried to solo him at lvl 21 warlock using sacrafice for my voidwalker, but I couldn't release the aggro after the sacrifice/resummon and kept running out of mana. I could only get him down to 25% hp. I had 3 buffs on btw.

Soloed as lv22 feral druid in patch 2.4.2. JUst threw regrowth and rejuvenation on me and charged to it, spammed maul and kept demoralizing roar on him ll the time. When I was at low hp I used war stomp; regrowth + rejuvenation; bear form > kept fighting until it as dead.

When I completed I didnt get a buff called Strength of Isha Awak, so this info shown in the quest rewards should be updated.

Solo'd Awak as a level 21 feral druid, definitely wasn't easy,
Trick is to fight him in Bear Form because he'll hit you too hard in your Cat Form, use your Faerie Fire (Feral) in Bear Form whenever you get the chance because it'll deal some damage which helps especially when he dodges/parries most of your attacks, and use Maul because Swipe doesn't deal too much damage and uses up 5 more rage than Maul. Then when your getting low on health, just quickly use Healing Touch and switch back to Bear Form, and repeat.

Soloed as a 25 shaman, however that's useless information, as a shaman could probably do it a few levels lower as well.

The thing I wanted to post was that if you're using questhelper instead of coordinates, questhelper will only take you to one of his spawn points. If you're like me, and arrived at said spawn point only to find a druid ad a warrior had took him down just prior to your arrival, don't bother waiting there for ten minutes like I did for him to respawn.

Go to the main map, mouse over the quest icon on and a spot on the map will light up to his other spawnpoint. Just swim back and forth between them or something until you see him. Questhelper is nice, but to be honest it never tells the whole story up front, if you get my drift. : \

For those who are not above level 21, as a hunter class you should use a pet in the tenacity catagory. They are able to take a bit more damage than most. Using your ranged weapon, attempt to keep Isha Awak's attention between you and your pet. Use Serphant Sting to poison it an continue a barrage of arrows untill you start to see the effect of both the poison and the constant attack of your pet wear its health down. I solo'd this as a Lvl 19 Troll Hunter, with a Lvl 19 Crocilisk.

Soloed as a lvl 22 destro lock with succubus, on my 2nd try. Needed healthstone and healing potion to get through the fight though. I only went into the water far enough that he wasn't evading my spells (so that I could escape easily if I was getting pwned). I drew aggro first then let my succy take it for a while before I aggroed again. Spammed Curse of Agony-Corruption-Shadow Bolt-Immolate, then finished him off with Shadowburn and my wand. My DoTs only hit about half the time, and I was almost out of mana and down to about 25% health. Good fight.

I just did this quest immediately after hitting lvl 24 as an Undead Warlock. I found him @ 65,47. Killed the 3 lobster things around him and then sent the Voidwalker in. Ranged him using Wand of Decay and he never once tried to hit me. Also there is a weapons crate that was underneath him with a cutlass inside.

Oh, and I was underwater the entire time, using Unending Breath. Sometimes it is good to be Undead.

Raveshadow is dead on. I'm an undead warlock, lvl 25 with a succubus, think a voidwalker would be better actually since they have taunt which tends to keep the baddies off you better. i was down to about 25% health but never in that much trouble. the advice about following the coast is very nice. i was swimming aimlessly for about a half hour before i looked it up here, doh!

its a level 27 mob with 840 health, can be skinned with 135 and above skinning. quite easy to kill cause if your about to die you can pull him to the cliffs/beach, jump up there and reset him :) good luck hunting.

I just solo'ed him with a well equipped Orc Hunter/Beastmaster. As a hunter you can step into the water just up to your knees. This is far enough to not get the evade spam but not so close that he'll pay attention to you. FYI, I was using a level 20 cat as my pet. Anyway, I first set a fire trap in the water knowing that he would eventually make a b-line my way. Then, I left clicked on him and sent my pet in after him. I was in hawk aspect and I had mend pet level 2. I let me pet rail on him for a bit mending him the best I could along the way. If you fire at him at all, he will most likely come at you despite your pets effforts to reduce threat on you. Once my pet didn't look like he could handle much more, I sent everything I had at him in marksmen skills (all my skills were maxed) and hit the race specific berzerk mode. Most things missed but it got his attention and my pet was going at him while he came over to me. He tripped the trap and he seemed to not like fire much. Once in melee range, change to monkey aspect and rail away. I was dual wielding the best axe money can buy over in orgrimmar which can be found just down the road from the hunter trainer. It is beneficial to have a potion for this part. Took me no more than 5 minutes.

It's a shame this one isn't an elite anymore since this quest is pretty boring now. I soloed him as a level 25 shaman and killed him with 100% life. It's just like killing any random enemy in that level range and there's no challenge in getting there.

Solo'd on 21 Troll Shaman. Popped all totems and stood just enough in the water to get and hold aggro without the "evade" popping up. refreshed Searing Totem whenever it was down and mana level would let me. Lesser Healing Wave almost each time is was up. Fight took right at 4min 30sec so it was really just a matter of patience.

Took him down easily with level 25 mage with average gear. Lost about 1/3 health by end of fight. It's a nice reward if you don't already have a good wand, and the 2750 exp is sweet too. He's usually swimming around in the shallows just to the east of Northwatch Hold castle.

Edit- While fishing in the same area, he respawned within 5 mins.

If you had the quest, the most likely reason it wasn't dropping the heart was because you were in a raid. You can't quest in a raid. Had you just left the battlegrounds? Remember, even if everyone has left the raid and you are the only one in the raid, you are still in a raid. :)

You can't put out coordinates for Isha Awak. He's spawning a little everywhere every time. Try to search for him south of Mahrens camp, at the coast close to Northwatch Hold.

soloed him as a level 21 druid, just look around in your aquatic form and turn into a cat and stealth to him and claw him to death :), at like 50% do a War Stomp and root him, heal maybe cast some wraths and turn back into cat form and kill him,i lost about 2/3 of my health at the end

Looks like a Loch Ness monster, swims toward shore and back out a bit, sometimes pops head above water. Found first time opposite Northwatch castle (there is an unlocked chest in the water there to open), the 2nd time south of quest giver and pirate ship (opposite first 'beach'). Don't bother farming, the green item drop rate is only 2.3%. Do clear any Slimeshells nearby first. If you are in trouble just get on an island or land and neither of you can hit each other (Isha will regain full health instantly). I killed with level 23 Warlock, 2nd time got a fair number of resists and had to sacrafice voidwalker pet to finish the job.

when i first got the quest i tried killing him at level 19. he respawned around the pirate ship north of the quest giver about 3 times and i almost had him but as a hunter it was hard since guns dont do much damage underwater. now im back and level 22 and he hasn't shown up for HALF AN HOUR! what is with this game sometimes?

oh: beast tracker on for hunters.
and: he has one level 18 crab guy swimming near him, get him out of the way so you dont aggro him and make it hard.

I soloed this quest with my tank lvl 24. Lost 1/3 only of my health. QH was useless showing location. I found him at 65.50. so if you do not see him right away, swim around till u find him.

This mob is found near Northwatch Hold at approximatley this loc: 65.43
She wanders back and forth in the water and looks like the Loch Ness monster. If you try to hit her from land you get the 'Evade' message. You need to enter the water the take her out. Before you do this be sure to clear all the yard trash first or you'll get aggro from them.

My results:
You gain 2750 experience.
Your reputation with Thunder Bluff has greatly increased.

Took Isha on as a level 23 Orc Warrior. Only managed it thanks to a healing potion and a scroll that boosted my stamina for the duration of the fight.

At level 24+ you should be capable of killing Isha solo without a problem. At level 22/23 you may find it harder.

I happened to find his body prior to himself. He seems to haver about 2-3 minutes spawn time and will be on different locations atround Northwatch. He spawned at 64,51 for me.
Very easy for his level, took only about half my mana at level 25 (arcane mage). He is not immune to frostnova as I had suspected.

As levache already said, there are 2 choices of rewards, + one belt.

My coords where 64, 53 but it's pretty unimportant as she wanders from 66, 46 to 62, 55. For those that don't have coords just swim along the coast underwater scanning for her until the castle is on your right. If you havn't seen her by then, just keep going over where you've been.

Very easy with warlock or any class in which you have a tank. I did at lvl 25 but could have done much lower I'm sure (around 20 would be the lowest I reckon.)

I just found him within sight of the Northwatch Hold. I'm a level 26 druid and easily took him out solo.

used evasion, poison on blades 5 charges then evis, potted then gouged then bandaged, did it all over again with 5 charges and evis. i got to about 15% life.

Very hard for me with lvl 22 druid. He floats around the northwatch hold area... i've died twice so far :( he has hit me for 100 plus a few times. can't seem to kill it in bear form w/ healing either. Maybe it would be easier to use magic but my mana runs out too fast.

Anyone got any suggestions?

So much for its a sea creature and cant go on land. I cast a searing totem and it came onto the litte island i was hiding on. If you know a way to show screenshots I'll post it.

Beat him as a level 22 Hunter with lvl 22 pet. He was just round the corner from the beached pirate ship, took a few minutes to spawn but I just stood on one of the islands and fished while I waited. Quite nasty if you let him get inside melee range, but that's what a pet's for :)

level 25 druid, was running down the coast looking for it, saw it jumped in he water, cast rejuv and regrowth, starfired, turned into cat form, stayed on top of water so i could breathe, and owned it. Nice simple quest, dont worry about the monsters that may aggro on to you, they dont do much damage

Wow...level 27?

It was kind of dissappointing when i discovered i couldn't continue the storyline until i leveled up. i got to this point in the quests at level 17. I found isha and she/he was ? in level, I wondered how long it would be before I could continue the quest series... looks like it'll be a while... seems kind of silly to have a 7 level jump i a quest series. I hope there's a decent reward waiting at the end of these.

Very easy to find - first beach south of Pirate Ship. Isha will come to you on the shore if you fire something at her. An easy kill for mt Lvl 28 rogue. I got 2750 XPs for the effort.

As a 23 Shaman - he resisted every spell I cast. Whack for whack he kept beating me by a sliver. Basicly my spells were useless. He even resisted my warstomp every time I tried it. Blew him off for another level after 4 tries.

As a level 22 druid.

Found the monster at 65,47. I tried to pull him back to the beach, but he wouldn't follow right up, instead staying in the water. No problem though, as I could stand in the water as it was on a gentle beach.

Dropped into cat mode, built up 5 combo points and let him have a max strength rip. Back to humanoid mode, a full heal and a HoT later, then back into cat mode for the final few swipes.

Really easy mob for his level.

2750 XP at level 22.

Hes over by northwatch hold, me, a 21 druid and a 21 shaman took him out, the only reason it was hard the first time and the reason its hard for alotta ppl is because u forget to go up and breathe and it seems like he gets really strong all of a sudden but ur drownin so keep an eye on ur air!

I have killed this guy numerous times. Most of the time I have found him at 65, 47. I just recently found him as far south as 63, 53.
So basicly just scour up and down the coast from the pirate ship to just past North Watch, killing the Makrura while looking for him. I got a few greens while doing this myself.

I am under the impression that he shares spawn points with the Makrura in the area.

Coords here were a big help. He's Aways South of quest giver on coast and North of Northwatch Post. He's just East of the tents for the Buccaneers in the water. I am 21 Shaman and he was a little tougher than I could manage alone without any pots or scrolls. If I had Trolls Blood or armor potion or scroll I probably could have managed alone. A 27 Pally from my guild dispatched him easily. MOBs in water area are around 19 and not a real problem. You might have to clear one to prevent aggro while fighting him.

Everyone is pretty much spot on about his location. Just a little north of Northwatch Hold, out about 20 yards or so. I soloed him at 24 (Shammy) with good gear, a 2-H Mace and boosted stats. My advice is take out all the regular mobs around him first so you don't get adds unless you've got help.

ok i cant say i did this at a low lvl ... i did it at lvl 33 so it was easy for me he pops up near northwatch hold (hunter should be able to find him easy) i was a lock and found him right next to skyseers hut (i got lucky) i also found him a little while ago wandering the seas

I found Isha Awak at 63,53 UNDERNEATH THE WATER, not on the beach as I thought for some stupid reason :)

Took her down with my 28 druid without using any healing, she didn't even take half of my hp, very easy mob.

Got 2750 exp and some items.

Found him pretty far North, at 38,96. Earlier I kept finding him by the castle. Easily soloed on a 25 priest, probably easy too at 24 but never tried. Just shield, DoTs, Holy Fire.

I found him two beaches south from quest giver which is the first "beach" south of the pirate boat. hes not that far out into the water. if your near the keep your too far. 3050 exp for completing quest =O

Soled on lvl 21 hunter. easy as hell. Just make sure pet holds agro for 10% keep healing use bandage on it if it get dangerously low. then use serpent sting whenever u need. and the at about 40% of its half just whack it with everythink.

little pennisula sticks out south of ratchet and south of some malign humans -- Mahren 65.43 with a tent. Accept and swim south down the coastline so you dont get fatigue to 64.50. Duck and swim under and youll see the crreature from the black lagoon. whooped its tailfins at level 30 hunter. probably could have done it at 25 tho. have fun.

He has multiple spawn points but doesn't move much when he spawns. I found his body at 65,47 and when it despawned, I found im at 64,50. Questie has a spawn point indicated further down the coast (near Northwatch) so he may spawn there also as well.

I'm dissappointed to see that this mob is Level 27. Considering the previous quests level, this seems totally out of reach solo unless you can get a group or somebody of higher level.

Found her @ 65.46, 47.29 on the Merchant Coast. Easy kill for lvl 24 hunter with a wolf pet. Stuck around to do some fishing and she re-spawned in the exact same spot so it appears she picks a particular spot-for-the-day. Hope that helps.

Level 27 non-elite, (approx 800hp). No specific spawn point... just follow coast from quest giver down to Northwatch Hold (the big castle).
Your target will be in the water, slightly bigger than the other blue crab things... but he's brown (longer neck like a dinosaur). Don't go down the deep sections of water, he'll be hanging around in the shallow coastal water like the blue crabs.

I was a 22 Druid and got him ok with half green items, half not.
