Given as a followup to No Rest For The Wicked. Grimkor's orb can be found at the southern tip of the Ironwall Rampart at about 45, 46.

Much, much easier than the previous quest. Grimkor comes with a demon dog add, but only has 63k hitpoints and can be snared/stunned. Should be soloable for a lot of classes, definitely doesn't require 5 people.

Solo'd this as a lv 80 holy paladin... just required a mana potion near the end. Dog can hit for 1.5k, 200 is normal damage. The actual guy summons non elites too, it helps to aoe them down as you continue to hit the guy. He also does shadow bolts so shadow resistance aura helps make it about 983 damage less. Sacred shield should be kept up as that helps a lot with the add damage and dog damage.

Solotted as a 80 boomkin, it's really a hard quest alone (i died just after validating the quest - used a life potion).

some advices:
- root the dog
- kill the add kickly (aoe them), burst the boss.

If i'm not wrong, the boss is not immune to stuns ^^

Should be easy to solo by almost any class. Both of them are CC'able (the undead dog is even fearable) so if you can manage to control at least one of them it should be pretty easy.

Got my ass handed to me the first time as a warlock, but the second time I realized they were fearable and it became a lot easier.

Use the rune of distortion at 45,46 beside grimkor's orb. Soloed as a mage, grimkor can be sheeped, just nuke the dog and bandage/regen mana until full, re-sheeping as necessary.

Solo'd as Feral Druid- Bear talents and tank gear at the time.... VERY easy!

@ Start: Stun lock boss, ignore dog.
When cat stun lock was up-- went bear; popped Berserk, Barkskin, Feral regen, Enrage, and Valor Medal of First War, spammed Mangle/Maul till Berserk burnt out, then spammed Swipe/maul till boss was dead. -- this was over kill but made things very simple!
Instant Root dog, move, heal and cat dps the dog the rest of the way

Biggest threat for me was mana burn spams from dog when i was up healing... could be an issue if ur laggin, low mana pool or slow on heals.

Rogues will most likely have no probs with this solo

solo'd as a protadin no problem. easy mode with seal of light/judge of light you barely take any damage at all.

Ironically this is quite hard to solo as a DK and I could not manage it at 79.

We have no CC so you have to take both. Trying to kill the man first gets you killed by the dog and vice versa.

Even as unholy with all cd's chained I could not kill the man before I died from the overwhelming damage of him, the dog and the summoned skeles even with DS crits and a pot.

Just soloed as a normally geared lvl 80 UH tank (not even defence capped). Kept my diseases up and spammed Death Strike for dear life. Dog died without me noticing.

Had to burn a Runic healing potion at one point, in addition to sacking my ghoul. Keep IBF and AMS up at all times..

Soloed as a level 80 hunter.

Stick a freezing trap at your feet, then summon him. The dog will run to you and freeze itself. Then it's just a tank and spank on the boss with your pet. Ignore the skeletons if they come (or put your pet on them).

he spawns with 63k HP and dog with 37k HP (CCable). after a bit he summons 2 5k HP adds. i soloed on my shadow priest and didnt want to deal with the dog (shackeled) so i jumped off the egde and levitated, other classes can use like spells

Little guide for a ret pally.

When they spawn, after the little text whatever, just cast repentance on Grimkor. He'll be out for a minute, and then you can easy solo the dog, heal up, divine plea, then beat him.

Towards the end of his health he will summon two really weak skeletons, but i wasn't paying attention to my health so I almost died, but just just a holy wrath and it'll take them out, or at least close to it so repentance aura will take them out.

But he can be stunned, silenced, and i'd bet feared and everything else.

Side note: If you can't kill the dog fast enough, just chain cast turn evil. that with holy wrath will keep it stunned/feared out of the way.

Very easy to solo as a warlock. Summon him. Mount up on Flying Mount. Fly to the Iron Gate-looking metal behind him (move to the left or right side of it. Easy to notice where you can stand).

Grimkor's Dog wont be able to catch you since there's no path to your spot unless you got flying mount. Niether can the skeletons.
Nuke him from your spot and he'll go down. He can't reach you but because of his ability to cast Shadow Bolt he'll just spam that.

Very easy and simple.

Mostly able to solo with all ranged classes.

comepletely soloable by 80 enhancement shaman. just lay ur totems by the orb and pop ur wolves. set wolves on Grimkor and beat down the dog. when ur done with the dog use wolf taunt to gather the adds then down Grimkor. then kill wats left of the adds, which should only be 2.

Soloed This as a Combat Rogue, all what you need to do is summon him, stealth while he talks, when he starts to attack you, Vanish Then Quickly Use Distract, then Go To Grimkor and Sap Him, Attack His Hound, When His Hound Die, First Aid Yourself and Pop Your CDs And Here You Go :)

Soloed extremely easy as lvl 80 blood death knight. Can't understand why it's a 5-man quest really. Only summoned an Army of the Dead, and then the guys health just dropped down to 0 in like 20 seconds. You shouldn't have any problems with it as DK.

[The Ironwall Rampart overlooks the Valley of Fallen Heroes, west of Aldur'thar. The rampart dominates the fields below on all sides. We will not be able to advance if the rampart cannot be taken, but it is held by Grimkor the Wicked and his Cult of the Damned disciples.

If you can weaken Grimkor, our forces know what to expect as we advance. Take this rune of distortion. Unleashing its power near Grimkor's orb at the end of the rampart should be enough to get the necromancer's attention.]
