The top end on this weapon is ridiculously high, it will definitely rip someone apart. The only thing I worry about is the severe lack of stats. This weapon will be great for pvp (I think) but pve I'm not so sure of.

I can see rogues Dual weilding these in PvP. It does have a lack of stats but as mentioned it has a high Top end damage. It also has a Proc that will reduce all stats Inclueding Stamina by 130. So suddenly your opponet has 1,300 less health. Although it is unreliable since it is a chance proc it is a good starter for your PvP gear.

Their are only 5 other daggers in game right now that have equal or higher top end damage. And if you cant beat Fjola Lightbane in 25 on Heroic this is the easiest one to get in PvE.

One thing that would be interesting is if you are dual qeilding these will they proc at the same time lowering stats by a total of 260?

Makes me wonder if bosses found in T8/T9 or beyond instances are immune to the stat reduction, and if they weren't, then how much of a damage redux this would be for the tank. :)

just got and as far as i can tell bosses aren't immune to the debuf. it applies and shows as a debuf under the bosses but i cannot comfirm 100% that it reduces their stats ofc

No, just because the debuff is there that does not mean that the boss's stats have been reduced.

There are two ways to prove that the boss's stats have been reduced:

1) A hunter using https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/spell=1462 on a beast boss before and after the debuff is applied
2) A very large statistical sampling of the boss's combat log before and after the debuff is applied

As for PvE, these are not a good option. At most they will be a side grade to Ulduar25 level daggers (ie. iLvL 232 daggers)

As for PvP, it is completely situational. You have to weigh up the debuff / weapon damage against your loss of stats. Keep in mind that the debuff is actually a curse, and can be dispelled by druids, mages and resto shamans.

I would avoid spending any gold / dkp / GP on this item as it will (in most cases) only be an upgrade if you are using a iLvL 200 or 213 dagger.

Got 3% proc chance from my tests, no cooldown.

Found it useless both in high-end pvp and pve.

I got this dagger on my first Onyxia25 run and I found the proc to be very overpowered.
In some situations I've found it proc so often that it refreshed itself throughout most of a fight.

I tested on some mobs today to make some data.
A level 80 with 12600hp and under the effect of the dagger's proc the health dropped to by 17% (10,4k).

I did this because I experienced that it had a severe influence on Archavon. When it procced his health dropped by over 400.000 hp, and about from 50% it refreshed itself for the rest of the encounter. And I only wear 1 dagger, one rogue (support) wearing 2x of these might put RNG on our side.

I can't say for sure if it works on bosses, which and how often it procs - Needs more testing, but maybe some people will try this out some more as it is indeed quite interesting.

For PvE the proc is negligible. Did ~2500000 dmg on dummy and the proc did about 8k of that with ~0,01% proc rate. The proc seems to be completely random with no internal cd.
Not sure what dagger to compare this one with.

I did 4000 hit test with sinister strike of 750 hits and melee 3250, it procced 101 times so its around 0.025% proc chance, no CD as it procced 3 times during 4 seconds during my test.

Nevertheless, the proc rate of this weapon is very low and ofcourse random, so it can proc 3 times in few seconds or proc once every 2 min, but over 4000 hits it procced 101 times, which tells us this proc is not worth any damage in practical use.

I can confirm this proc reduced boss dummys HP to 7.9 million from full, which translates to 2.1 million reduced health.
This is certainly a bug, which is considered as exploit so I dont recommend using it.

And me?
Well... I'll just test if it works in real bosses.. you know just 1 test, right guys?

If the weapon procs on a boss, and the stat reduction runs out, will the health of the boss heal up again? Or will only the max health go back to high, but the remaining health stay low?

Enchants do not show up on this weapon. Have put Mongoose on one as well as Berserking, no enchant displays.

I have this weapon as my pvp gear, untill I get toc25 1.8 speed dagger OR Relentless ( Nearly there ).
I am a rogue obviously and in my opinion the proc rate has pretty OK proc rate, it seems to proc in PvP quite alot and it's a nice addition but obviously same iLevel items kick it's ass because of 0 stats. Personally, I would say that this barely beats iLevel 232 weapons, but loses by far far to iLevel 245.

And sorry that I cannot give any exact percentage for the proc, but it does proc quite often.

The stat reduction on this might seem to be poor if you only consider 130 stamina to be worth 1300 hitpoints on all enemies universally, but that is not always how stamina affects the maximum health of enemies.

It turns out that some creatures, such as Knight-Captain Drosche and Warbringer Davos Rioht, have an increased benefit from stamina; both NPCs have a 500:1 health-stamina ratio instead of the standard 10:1 ratio.

Don't believe me? Do this simple experiment: go to either one of the aforementioned NPCs with a Scroll of Stamina VIII and note the health. Use the scroll and note the health has increased from 630,000 to 696,000: an increase of 66,000. Divide the difference by 132 and you have 500.

What will happen when the Warbringer is hit with Gutgore Ripper?

His health will drop by exactly 50,000 hitpoints. This means that this NPC only actually has 100 stamina, so the dagger's proc completely negates his stamina (stamina does not go below 0). When the proc ends, the health does not return to him, so if he's hit with this when he is at maximum health, it is more or less equivalent to an instant 50k hit.

This same lazy system of setting an NPC's health might be present on creatures inside instances or raids.

Edit: supposedly this also works to a much greater degree on the heroic training dummy.

If a bosses hp isn't returned couldn't this do a huge amount of damage and bring about swift phase changes? I can imagine switching to this for anub'arak phase 3 for example and praying for a proc.
