These boots are great, I just picked them up on my ret paladin. I swear that they put that blue slot just so you can meet your gem requirements for Relentless Earthsiege Diamond.

Second best in slot if gemmed with +16 Strength in both and hit capped.

If gemmed with 16 strength x2 it has 82 Strength, and it roughly translates to 164 attack power - so the only thing for none-hit capped Warriors that's comparable would be the boots off Malygos .

The Deadly Gladiator's boots are comparable, but you lose on a lot of critical strike rating from these boots for 2 attack power difference.

Considering the difficulty to get the other two boots, these are amazingly easy and are quite worth it.

If used by a JC and gemmed with either.

2 bold dragonseyes or a bold dragonseye+bold scarlet ruby.

I believe these boots then become the best in slot boots obtainable by fury warriors DKs or Pally's.

Can anyone clarify this for me(or correct me if necessary?)

This, obviously, is a great DPS feet piece for any plate DPS...

...if you're already hit capped, or near so.

However, if you still lack on hit, the Boots of the Neverending Path (Argent Crusade exalted) turn out to be a better PvE DPS increase.
Well, at least as a Ret paladin. I believe other plate classes who have no built-in talented Strength increase would benefit even more, as they do not care as much about Strength being "better" than pure AP.

because armor pen is slightly less useful since alot of ret damage isnt affected by pen.

That's because most of the attacks Retridins do are spells, which are affected by spell.pen. and not armor.pen.

The reason it looks like it does, is because it shares the same model with some level 60 Naxx boots, if ya' haven't noticed, A lot of WotLK stuff is based off/shares models from old world pre-TBC.

These are better-itemized for Retribution Paladins than epic boots outside of 25-man Naxx. Ravaging Sabatons simply have too much haste, and the slots on these boots ensure that (especially if you're already hit-capped and forego the bonus) you have all the extra STR you need.

Ya I was looking at these and was salivating at the mouth lol. These boots are sweet and like Eight said in the earlier post the Relentless Earthsiege Diamond is great if we had a meta spot, I mean i would Jam it in but I cant :( as well as
Beaming Earthsiege Diamond for a Ret Pally. So basically we're stuck with either
Deadly Monarch Topaz and Jagged Forest Emerald unless someone found a way to put in the metas lol or you can find better Gems :) If you do let a brother know lol
