I would much rather have https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=33518 than these. While mp5 is sorta decent for a paladin, I would take spell crit over it any day. The baseline stats on these pants are much better, but I don't think you can rule out the 4 healing (13 if you get the socket bonus), the 1% crit and extra gem slot the justicar pants give.

Personally, I'd say if you already have the High Justicar's Legplates, save your badges for something that's a better upgrade, like the belt, gloves or boots. I'd say that these pants ARE an upgrade, but not enough of one to be worth 100 badges unless you don't have anything else you'd want to buy.

Spell Crit is an unreliable source of mana regen, a BT Raiding Pally still needs a good amount of MP5.

Think Spell Crit as a way to boost your "amount healed" rather than mana regen. Illumination is just a refund talent that gives back only 60% of mana used. So that 40% needs to be regen someways.

MP5 is the way to go.

I have like 2100+ heals, 26% spell crit, and 220/330 mp5 fully buffed I can hit the big heals during boss fights without potting a lot and during trash fights I can spam FoL and have very little down time.

The biggest problem with Illumination is the nerf, we are slightly more efficient than other healers only with FoL, HL we hardly competitive with other healers with bouncing heals.

Did anyone not overlook the Tier 5 Crystalforge Leggings? Those are only missing 4mp5, have more healing, and also have 32 spell crit (huge).

Yeah, i saw them. Shocketing them well the new legs have still more healing (1 yellow and 1 blue shocket vs 1 blue shocket) but just a bit, and 5 more mp5, but those 34 crit rating seems a lot. High Justicar's Legplates have a lot of healing and some crit, Greaves of Pacification have a lot of mp5, Crystalforge are more balanced. Are Greaves of Pacification worthy of SSC/TK content or can wait for BT/MH?

I'm not even considering buying these over my T5 legs, i'd rather have a piece that's well rounded like the T5 ones. Frankly badge loot is crap for healadins.

For a decent specced holydin, these technically have around 110 +healing, anyway, due to the coefficient that gives 30% of your intellect as +spell damage and healing.

Anyone who says these socket colors aren't great hasn't looked into gemming gear so much.

Some may prefer a red socket for a teardrop gem, but in endgame healing, you don't stack raw +heal in your gear, it's a waste. (This is coming from a BT paladin)

Personally, I would socket these with a Luminous Pyrestone, and a Royal Shadowsong Amethyst for ultimate awesome. So, why some people may prefer the shaman legs, I personally would go for these, considering the socket colors are actually quite badass.
