Be sure to do this in conjunction with the other daily, Assault By Ground, given by the Orcs at the camp at the base of the mountain.

I always get Assault by Ground first, complete it, abandon it, rinse repeat until this quest is done. I'm a resto druid and this way makes it much easier.

The Val'kyr Taskmistress mobs within the Ymirheim saronite mine do not give kill credit for this quest.

It is really easy if u have a flying mount, because if u do then u can just find those Ymirheim element shaper's and kill them. Its because they are much easyer to kill then the other guys because they are not built like tanks. Most of the Shaper's are in the houses so look in them or they are with someone talking.

P.S. The Ymirheim Element Shaper's can be a pain if ur making a spell because they have a spell to make u go up in the air and stop ur spell cast from happening.

Just to report, its any mobs in the area that offer this quest for you. If your using Quest Helper like me, it wont detect the mobs and i was slightly confuzzeled.

Untill of course i just dive bombed the place and attacked everything.

I endorse the idea of getting this quest before doing any questing in Ymirheim, but the idea of fulfilling it by doing Assault by Ground repeatedly actually takes as much or more time than completing it on your own.

I've been doing this quest for a while now as I grind dailies. When doing Assault by Ground I usually get 6 or 7 Vrykul kills that count for this quest. If I'm unlucky enough to be shot down while doing Assault by Air and have to shoot my way out of Ymirheim after parachuting in, that gets 1 or 2 more. Before continuing with this quest I do King of the Mountain as a welcome and fun break from battling MOBs and then start from the top of Ymirheim down. There are 6 Element Shapers close at hand (3 inside the duplex house next to the King of the Mountain site) and usually have this quest completed before I've reached the first platform with a proto-drake. Not hard at all. I then fly down the path a little and do Slaves to Saronite before turning in both quests.

One more incidental tip, it's not a bad idea to do the quest Drag and Drop on your way up to do King of the Mountain.

Quest is really quite easy, just run in grab 1-2 pairs of talking ones, pick up another if a patrol walks by, run into a house to drop LoS and to grab two more from in there, and you can knock 6 of these guys out easy "Built like tanks" is a gross exaggeration, taking 6 of these at once isn't hard in pre-naxx gear.

Interesting. Wowhead currently thinks this quest is offered by a Kirin Tor Murloc Coastrunner in Westfall :)

Descrizione

Those vrykul that have gained the favor of the Lich King call themselves the Ymirjar. They inhabit a city in the center of Icecrown. We have a lot of preparations to make before we assault Icecrown Citadel, and the one that stands before us now is routing these so-called "Chosen" of the Lich King.

Go to their city, Ymirheim, and slaughter them in their home. Let there be no questions as to who the stronger combatants are here.
