This quest is picked up (by Horde) from Awilo Lon'gomba (not linked to it on Wowhead yet), the grand master cooking trainer in Dalaran. Just run around the city in bars and inns looking for wine glasses with the lootable sparkles (don't forget to check upstairs, some guests like a nightcap before bed). You'll get most of what you need in the inn you got the quest from.

The cheese shop is on the east side of the city, next door to the Bank of Dalaran and the horde quarter. The cheese is not sold by the vendor but rather looted from a table by the door (don't feel bad about stealing, its crappy cheese).

Use the platter in your inventory (looks like a low level shield) to combine the items into your quest item and turn it in at Legendary Leathers at the very back of the Magus Commerce Exchange.

I'm from a province in the Netherlands called Limburg and one of the famous things from Limburg is our really smelly cheese, so that's where the Aged Dalaran Limburger is from :-)

But you can not use the receipts that you can buy for the dalaran cooking award until your cooking skill is 400 - somewhat annoying

I logged in today and was very frustrated because neither the cheese nor the wine glasses would shine. I read over the forums, googled, ... nobody had the same issue.
I was going to open a GM ticket, when i suddenly realised that I was in a raid group from last night's Archavon group! As soon as I left the raid group objects started shinning. In case someone has the same issue! hf!

If you wonder where to find the glasses, here's a map with their spawn locations. You'll see that it's confined to 3 places (being the 3 bars/inns of Dalaran)

If you are alliance and frustrated by the lack of wine glasses in our tavern, it is possible to mount up on your flying mount and quickly fly into the horde tavern and you wont get kicked out of sanctuary.

This way you can loot their wine glasses which to me seemed to have more spawn points and as a bonus frustrates any horde that are also trying to do the quest :)

In addition to the spawn points in the inns and in the cheese shop (see map), at least 4 glasses can spawn in The Cantrips and Crows Tavern in The Underbelly

The cheese can also spawn on the table in front of the shopkeeper and possibly in other locations as well (inside the store).

I have made the daily cooking since before christmas, and i never gotten this quest. Wth is up with that? I went here to see if there was some comments about that, but no. Any one else had the same experience?

These seem to run in streaks on my server. You can go weeks without seeing a specific quest... and then it becomes the only one you'll see several days in a row.

I got lucky. When I started, Mustard Dogs (with its 2 awards) was the one being "pushed." Lately, I've only seen that one once in like 3 weeks.

Cheese for Glowergold is among the top 3 right now. The mushroom and carrot being the other two.

This is what I do, wine glasses can be found all around, thus take the quest check the inn then check the pub and upstairs :)

the cheese many say it doesnt spawn otuside or downstairs in the shop from my experience just run upstairs theres a small table usually 1-2 spawn there :) hope this helps

You need to get a Aged Dalaran Limburger from this object at aprox. 53.5, 32.5
An then 6 Half Full Dalaran Wine Glass from this object different places in Dalaran.

Has anyone had any problems with this and the other daily cooking quests offered by Katherine Lee (https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/npc=28705) I was always able to get them from her and since the new patch came out her exclamation(!) mark is now greyed out! Anyone have any insight on this?

If you're like me on a busy server during peak hours, you can just go to the outside of VH. Glasses spawn on the boxes around the daily quest givers. They spawn really fast, by the time I got one at one end one at the other had spawned.

Just hang out at the cheese place for a minute or two, they spawn pretty fast too.

This quest can spend you running round the square endlessly, but;
Check outside VH, the Cheese Shop where you get the Cheese and most importantly Legerdemain Lodge. There are loads, just check upstairs. :)

This is the quest that takes off the most of my poor characters' saliva ; to /spit on the players who ninja the glasses and the cheese ; and to /spit on that stupid lazy dwarf who waits to be feeded with leftovers and shoplifted cheese.

This is indeed true. I'd suggest doing the fishing daily while waiting for the spawn.

Bless the Blues! It seems that 3.3.3 was a little buggy, and they knew that there was a problem with respawn timings. Patch 3.3.3a has been released this morning. Respawn times appear to have been corrected, though I only personally know from farming Venture Co. Evacuees.

People were also complaining about the impossibility of completing Rescue at Sea /. I assume that quest is now fixed, though I haven't tried it myself.

You can only do one cooking quest per day.

The quests are random so you won't necessarily do all five different quests in a row.

The level of your cooking will also determine which ones will be available to you.

There were some days that I would see the same quest 2 or 3 days in a row.

All of the recipes are 3 awards each so you should be able to, for the most part, get a new recipe every other day. Once in awhile the spice bag that comes as a reward with the coooking reward will also have a cooking award in it as an added bonus.

These Half Full Dalaran Wine Glasses spawn all over Dalaran. I found the best spots are (upstairs and down) the Legerdemain, A Heros Welcome, One More Glass and Cantrips and Crows Tavern in the Underbelly. You can find one here and there in other places but these seem to have the highest concentration of them with the best spawn rate.

Don't go looking for an empty wine bottle like I did.

After you have collected everything look in your bag for what looks like a shield.

This is what you right click on in order to combine your wine glasses.

It's not the wine, it's the Iocane. We've been trying to off Glowergold for years.
If not by Iocane, maybe by constipation.

Ranid Glowergold in the Leatherworkers shop in Dalaran has had a sudden craving for wine and cheese.

Collect cheese which is on the shelf at "One More Glass" in central Dalaran and half full wine glasses found on tables all over the city. Pour the wine together into a bottle and serve it with the cheese to Ranid.

We don't think he will know the difference.
