crystal - 66, 59 (top of the pillar). for those who can't fly, path up starts at 70, 58 (to the right of the cave entrance).

around 25, 80 for the mobs, you can kill 'em easily enough w/out using the crystal but the crystal will give you a 10 minute buff that heals you for crazy amounts every time you deal dmg... i imagine it'd be especially handy for an aoe-happy class ^_^

While on this quest, killing the frenzyheart yield no exp. However, you can loot still.

Also, the 10 minute attack/heal buff you get from using the Crystal only works when you kill frenzyhearts and is non-effective against other creatures in the basin.

Turn-in for this quest is at 33,74, not the location of the quest giver. Save yourself some time and turn in after you are done and dont go all the way back to where you picked up the quest.

Just so you know, this is one of three dailies given by Oracle Soo-dow. You cannot complete each of them per day, rather you will be able to do 1, chosen at random, each day. They all share the common theme of killing frenzyheart tribe wolvar at Sparktouched Haven and reward 700 rep.

These mobs respawn crazy fast. As a clothie you can easily get overwhelmed. Be careful.

The buff from the crystal does seem to procc off each hit from Divine Storm for retris. However it seems to be a procc chance, it's not guaranteed.

After checking my combat log I found out:
- It will deal about 1100-1500 damage back at an attacker.
- It will heal you for the same amount. If not all damage is reflected because of overkill, then it will only heal for as much as the damage actually dealt.

From my combat log:
- Power of the Great ones hits Frenzyheart Hunter for 168(1159 overkill)
- Power of the Great ones heals you for 117(251 overhealed).
(...)
- Power of the Great ones hits Frenzyheart Hunter for 1455
- Power of the Great ones hits Frenzyheart Hunter for 1478
- Power of the Great ones hits Frenzyheart Hunter for 1490
- Power of the Great ones heals you for 1455
- Power of the Great ones heals you for 1478
- Power of the Great ones heals you for 1490

It's a very quick and easy quest. Run in, gather all the mobs you can find, aoe them down in 3 sec.

As a resto druid, I was able to successfully complete this quest by hitting Bear Form, gathering a small mob and simply spamming Swipe whenever I had a mob of Frenzyheart. The Power of the Great Ones buff deals more than enough damage to make up for the fact that you'll probably be hitting them for like 30 damage, and you will be able to stay at almost full health at all times because of the abundance of mobs being hit by the buff and healing you in the process.

There's a big platform to the north of Kalkar's Hold with lots of Ravagers watching two Wolvar fight in the middle. Buff yourself with the crystal, mount up on your drake, fly up and summon Jaloot (or whoever else you prefer) below you. fly around the circle and have all the Wolvar add on your companion, then simply drop down and spam Arcane Explosion/Holy Nova and bam - 30 Wolvar dead.

i must agree, the circle at 21.6 79,4 is covered with wolvars. over 20 at least, and respawns within 2 minuts. great way for killing 22 or so, per pull. :)
(i can loot them all after they are dead, walk away, bandage up and look at the stone, 10 sec after they respawn :D)

as a death knight what i do is icy touch one in the middle, then pestilence, death and decay and then simply icebound fortitude (ofc with bone shield up before the pull) and they go down basicly before they even realised it :)

Arcane explosion does work for mages, but don't get too many of them swarming you because they'll still take you down fast. You definitely want to keep your shields up while doing this.

Here is a map of the location of the mobs.
As odd as this may feel, if you are a hunter, melee the mobs if you're going one-on-one. You'll do more damage faster with the buff that way than by ranging them because you'll crit so often.

The buff only works on direct damage spells. As an affliction lock, my dot's weren't doing the bonus damage or healing me so I started spamming searing pain. Takes about 3 searing pains to kill one mob.
Edit: Does not work with seed of corruption or hellfire.

Hunters beware, as Volley does NOT heal you with this buff active. All of your direct damage attacks should work just fine, though.

For a side note on this quest: I find it a great money-grind. Because you are kept healed forever, and the respawns are fast and furious, you can go into the city and just mow down Frenzyhearts like candy. With each one dropping an average of 10-15 silver, it adds up very quickly. And there's no downtime, thanks to the constant proccing of your buff. If you've got this daily, and have a little extra time, I say 'Don't stop at 30'.

This is an amazing quest for money too--i've included a screen shot from the location (sorry--addons were slowing me down)--next to the side of the canyon on a rock--about 30 of them stand in a circle...i'm an spriest...but did what the hpriest did, but for the entire 10 minutes and picked-up about 20 gold. The screenshot is included on the other page.

I'd like to add the location for a good spot. Check out approximately 22 80

If you aren't sure where that is, press M (to see your map). When you see the two little icons - representing the Frenzyheart buildings (in the south-west corner of the map - past "The Mosslight Pillar", past the Oracles buildings and on the other side of the path), that area (22 80) is a little west of the higher / upper of those two icons.

When you fly over it, you see a lot of Frenzyheart in a circle and perhaps two in the middle of that circle. You might imagine that it's a combat seminar, or something similar, so give them a demonstration.

As a hunter, I use a gorilla on the SE corner of that gathering and, with a few extra shots, gather up about 15 mobs and AOE them down. Most AOE -ers should be able to handle a similar number, but you might want to adjust for a few more or a few less - depending on ability.

Taking out the rest of them should take you to 30, pulling a few extra if you need them, meaning you have done the quest in minutes - at the most.

You don't need to use the crystal - just as you don't need to use any of the items in these "kill em all" quests (you just need to "kill em all") - but you will have to charge it up, before you start (at "The Lifeblood Pillar"), as half the quest is to do so.

I don't know what exactly procs the buff, but I can tell you as a shadow priest it's worthless. Mind Sear doesn't do it, so you can't use this to farm gold.

For those of you still wondering what the buff does:

Procs 100% on some spells and attacks, even AoE attacks like Arcane Explosion
Heals you for about double the damage done by your attack (about 1250 cap)
Damages the enemy for about double the attack (about 1250 cap)

Now this is all speculation, as I found the following:

My auto-shoot does about 450 damage regularly. With the buff it dealt 450 + about 700, and healed me for 700.
My arcane barrage does about 2k damage regularly. With the buff it dealt 2k + about 1200, and healed me for 1200.
My arcane explosion does about 650 damage to each target regularly. With the buff it dealt 650 + 1200, and healed me for 1200 for EACH TARGET!

Oh, and this increases your resistances by 1/2 of your level.

Amazing quest for a rogue not to turn in as you can pickpocket all mobs for Runic Potions and Reinforced Lockboxes; Read Krol Blade V2.0 and such !
And the best place is about north of the village. Theres a Fighting circle in the back of about 15-20 Frenzyhearts. I use the crystal, pop evasion and blade fury and slay the bastards in 1 or 2 hits, come out fully healed and by the time i'm done looting they respawn and the CD on all my skills are back up ! :D
Beats doing Avalanche, being unstealthed and running like hell because vanish is still on CD :P
(To clarify: The circle has about 2-5 lockboxes each spawn and the spawncycle is roughly 2 mins (CD on Evasion with Endurance 2/2))

Does anyone know if this buff is removed if you zone out? It would be a useful buff in other aspects of the game, even if the duration is only 10 minutes.

Rain of fire does NOT proc this! I found out while spaming RoF... I died in no time.
I don't know if it's been this way all the time, but i didn't work for me...
RoF is counted as a channeled DoT just as drain life and hellfire is.
The DoT from immolate doesn't work, but the damage upon hit does.
My advice to fire locs is to do it this way: Immolate->Incinerate->confligerate
The wolwars has no more than roughly 6k HP, so they go down fast whatever you do.

lvl 80 Holy Pally:

This is a piece of cake. Once you've charged the crystal, go to 22, 79 (southwest corner of Sholizar). There are a ton of the frenzies on a flat rock. Concencration and then just flip them in the forehead. Boom. Dead. :-)

Upon Completion of this quest while you have the buff, the buff will not disappear. Just tested it.

With enough +Spell power on a Demo Warlock, you can generally get away with just using Rain of Fire, even though it does not proc the heal effect. The Wolvar have only about 5+ health, so if you hold the aggro off yourself with a Felguard, a group of 4-5 will go down in one channeling of the spell. If you get in trouble, the initial damage from Shadowflame will proc the healing effect.

A tip for hunters:

Serpent Sting, because of the buff, both heals and damages them every tick. A single application should be enough to kill one, so long as you aren't in Aspect of the Viper. You can go around the village hitting each Wolvar with one, without fear of taking the slightest bit of damage, until you run out of Mana.

Looking over the previous posts, it seems channeled spells won't trigger the proc, so don't try Hellfire/Rain of Fire/Volley/whatever. For you Demo 'locks, I'd try popping Metamorphosis and hitting Immolation Aura; Hunters could probably use a combination of Immolation Trap and Snake Trap to decent effect.

This quest is awesome for a rogue who's after Reinforced Lockboxes(health potions and possible epics)!

Basically you just farm Frenzyhearts without any downtime!
The best spot is the "Fightclub" like circle just north of the most SW Frenzyheart camp.
Theres about 15-20 mobs gathered in a circle you can FoK-spam to death after picking.
After looting all corpses they respawn in about 10 secs ^^

Charge the Dormant Polished Crystal at the exposed Lifeblood Pillar. Travel to Sparktouched Haven and use the power the crystal bestows to slaughter 30 of the nearby Frenzyheart wolvar, and then speak to Lightningcaller Soo-met in Sparktouched Haven.

We need to do something to stop puppy-men attacking Sparktouched Haven. Jaloot brought me very special crystal that he found in River's Heart... we seen only one like it before.

The crystal not have power now, but the opened up lifeblood pillar should have energy to recharge it if you just bring it close. Once the crystal is charged, go to Sparktouched Haven in far southwest and let the crystal's energy make you big and strong.

Then it time to kick some puppy-men butt.
