This is the daily version of Gods like Shiny Things. You will need a gorloc buddy tagging along to unearth the treasures, but it doesn't have to be Lafoo. If you'd prefer the assistance of Jaloot or Moodle, they will work just as well. Moodle is clearly unenthusiastic, though, and will complain loudly about having to dig for what he considers to be worthless trinkets. As with "Gods Like Shiny Things", search for glints of light sparking just above the ground. They won't look like loot sparkles, but rather singular white gleams that pulse in and out. Once your gorloc gets close, he will start digging. It is very important to have your gorloc with you as you get close to a sparkle; if he isn't, the sparkle will disappear, but you won't get any treasure.

Sometimes your gorloc won't find treasure, but instead will dig up a Glinting Bug swarm or a Sparkling Hare. The bugs will put you into combat, but won't actually attack you. Your gorloc will go after them, though. If you kill the hare, you'll receive the minute-long Blessing of the Sparkling Hare run speed buff.

Not trying to be superstitious, but after doing this quest a few times with jaloot and moodle, Ive had some bad luck with Moodle, getting as much as 8 non objects in a row, whereas the days ive done it with Jaloot, I got 6 in a row.

So far it's been 100% for me. Perhaps your companion is hitting the hare rather than you.

Maybe it's just my imagination, but I have better than average luck when I use Jaloot. Lafoo seemed to find a lot of sparkling bugs, and the two days I tried Moodle, I found a lot of hares.

Jaloot almost always gives me the 6 treasures in only 7 or 8 searches, while the other two usually took 12-15.

Also remember that you can avoid unnecessary combat by dismissing your companion when not standing on a sparkle.

Btw, I also prefer Jaloot. For example today's trip was 6 treasures out of 7 digs (gogo rabbit!)

jaloot is the best companion to bring. not only does he give enthusiastic remarks when digging but he also gives the +10% movement speed and 100% swimming speed buff.

It should be noted that you find the objects in the same places you did for the original quest, anywhere just outside of the imediate camp area.

Unfortunately, this quest will take you a heck of a lot longer than the Frenzyheart counterpart, Chicken Party, which can easily be completed in less than a minute.

I've completed all 3 quest chains involving Jaloot, Lafoo, and Moodle, thus I've turned in the items to summon these guys. Does this mean I cannot complete this daily quest?

For those that say Moogle digs up more useless things: It's just luck.
I just completed this quest with Moogle , and we only had to find 6 sparkles. Each time he dug, he found a shiny treasure.

Sometimes you get lucky and get a sparkling hare to boost your runspeed while you do this quest...

And sometimes you get unlucky and spawn 6 Sparkling Hares in a row /facedesk

As of patch 3.0.8 the cast time for picking up the treasure has been reduced to one second. Much faster.

I picked up Moodle for the quest and I didn't get a SINGLE piece of treasure in 20 minutes of looking.

Then I realized I was in a raid...They've all got the same chance.

I've done all the Oracles quests. I'm level 77. I can't start the quest. :(

Just as an FYI, you can do this mounted. Looting the shiny treasures will dismount you, of course, but traveling between them can be a bit slow at times

using jaloot i got all 6 shiny treasures in 7digs so i think ill stick with him also the tenacity buff is great so i recomend him to others

Lvl 80 DK, honored with the Oracles, but cannot get the daily quests from anybody in Rainspeaker Canopy. Just keep getting asked if I have anymore shinies. Have no trinket to call companion, have no quests for this in my quest log. What to do?

For those that don't like to spend a great deal of time riding around on the ground and getting into random fights, I have found something that helps me.

If you use the Bug Bag, Stress Ball, or Crystal your companion will appear near you.
(Not exactly new information, I know)
You may then mount your flier, and fly in the area that you would collect the Treasures in, your Oracle Companion will follow, on the ground. You may then use the increased speed, better viewpoint, and lack of random unwanted encounters from the nearby Emperor Cobras to hasten this particular daily.
(With it being the daily everyday, the Cobras get tiresome quite fast)

Your ground-bound companion may occasionally be attacked by the Cobras but will not engage them unless you do. Therefor, by flying you reduce the Cobras you have to engage to the ones very near to the treasure you're trying to get to anyway.

This method cuts a great deal of time out for me, every day.

Here's something I don't understand. I'm going around with this giant fish reptile thing digging up treasure. At first I thought, ok, it's WoW, this kind of stuff is normal. Then he started to dig up these large piles of gold coins that must've held about 50 gold. He dug up about three of 'em. At this point I was thinking "Whoa, that's a LOT of gold, I'll bet this is gonna be a large quest reward!" Then he starts pulling up gems and armor, and I'm amazed and thinking what kind of armor it was, and how much I would've vendored it for or how much I would've put it on the Auction House for. So, carrying this massive amount of loot and wondering how on Azeroth all this gold got its way under the ground, I went to turn in the quest and stared at the reward. TWELVE. GOLD. WHOOPEE. Most frustrating daily ever.

For some reason my quest got bugged - I had 4 out of 6 Shiny Treasures and Wintergrasp was about to start, so I hearthed to Dalaran went to Wintergrasp and came back after it had finished. I couldn't see any shinies on the ground at all, but other people in the area were doing the quest and digging up the treasures. I logged out and logged back in and then could see the 'sparkles' on the ground.

I have found that the best possible way to complete this quest is to get on your flying mount (Epic or Normal) and fly above the area looking down with your camera to give a birds eye view of the area.

Wait approx 5~ Seconds and you will see all the "Shinies" underneath you flash.

I do this quest every single day using the same tactic, It is a huge time saver!

I did this daily a lot across 9 characters. For 3 characters, I used Lafoo. For 3 characters, I used Jaloo. For 3 characters, I used Moodle.

There was no magic digger who dug up crystals more often than the others. I doubt the digger affects the outcome of the dig. Chances are, what's contained in the dig site gets determined when the dig site "spawns", just like how loot is determined when an enemy spawns, not when the enemy is killed.

Just go around the outskirts of the camp. Look for white sparkling points. Stand by them and the pet will dig. Sometimes they're not shinies.

Be sure to speak to High-Oracle Soo-say in Rainspeaker Canopy about securing the aid of one of your previous companions.

Since mosswalker been attacked I worried maybe we not good to Great Rain Stone... we maybe too greedy. We need more treasures to offer!

You good at finding shinies last time... maybe you go look more around village for shinies? You maybe need one of good Rainspeakers for help. Just tell us who.
