its worth noting that, should you continue with the quest that begins from the item that drops off Goromash at the end of this quest line, this is the beginning of a very long quest chain worth lots of xp and several good rewards.

This appears to be just a breadcrumb quest. I was able to pick up Rifle the Bodies in Agmar's Hammer before setting foot in the Tuskarr village. So, I don't think this quest is necessary to start the quest chain.
