Take note that you must be dismounted in order to loot the bodies, you will loot a bag that you must open and hope to find your quest item inside.
If you try to loot while mounted the bodies will simply disappear.

You can only loot the Mage Hunter Personal Effects (which contains the plans) on the Dead Mage Hunter corpses, Dragonblight Mage Hunter don't drop the effects.

Note: These are PRE-DEAD Mage Hunters on the ground - you do not have to freshly kill Mage Hunters.

Pick up bodys and you will get a bag, maybe you are lucky and get the quest item on first pick up

yes... no need grinding the mob. made a mistake by killing almost 30 of them. in the process getting killed by an 80 dranei sham... just loot the pre dead npc. got mine around coord 23,59

Got the required item on my 18th pick.

I should note that it seemed like the spawn rate of the bodies increased the more people were picking them up.

Drop rate is pretty bad, but the worst part is that you don't get XP during this 'salvage' job.

Not sure why his comment was purged, because I'm having the same problem.
The corpses aren't giving me the loot option.
Is there a special command or is it just bugged?

My bad - was being retarded and forgot I was in a raid group.

It's really annoying to have to go into your bags every time you loot one of these to open it and see if the bag you loot contains the item. It took me doing this on 6 characters before I thought to create a macro and tie it to a hot key instead. You can use: /use mage hunter personal effects and you will loot the item without having to find it in your bags. Much faster.

Aargh! The text of this quest hurts my brain! How can they decimate half the mage hunters when decimation means that you kill one tenth of them?

24,57 is almost the only body that drops it ( or 22,57 ). as multiboxer having done this quest 10x, you just have to wait for it to respawn.

Spawns at 22,57 in Dragonblight. Not sure if there are other spawns points though

To make this easy quest even easier, you can create a simple macro and drag it onto your bar:

/use Mage Hunter Personal Effects

This way, you don't have to open your inventory, find the bag, and then click on it every time you loot it. It'll light up every time you have one in your inventory, and then just click it to automatically loot it.

This is inspired by the one by LumbarDavid on the Alliance version of this quest.

However, I added verbiage so that it won't clear the raid icon if you accidentally double tap it.

Rifle the Bodies

Find the Moonrest Gardens Plans and return them to the Image of Archmage Aethas Sunreaver at Agmar's Hammer.

Descrizione

The Moonrest Gardens to the southwest were the final resting place of a group of Highborne elves. It was also a ley line nexus.

The blue dragonflight used a magical device they call a surge needle to destroy that nexus, freeing the power to redirect at their will.

I want more information and you are going to get it for me!

After the land was destroyed at the ruins, the ghosts of the Highborne rose up and decimated half of the mage hunters there. Go rifle their corpses for clues.
