The key is in a small box in the middle of the largest of the blue-white round areas. I got there shortly after someone else had done the fight and the box was clickable. Got the key without a fight and returned it.

Inquisitor Salrand spawns at 41,38 when you use the Beryl Shield Detonator on the shield. She has no special abilities and when she dies, her lockbox with the key spawns.

she starts up in the air channeling something, the entire platform is in a blue bubble.
if not wait for respawn

If someone else has already taken down the force field, you can just run up and loot the box, and turn in the broken key to complete the quest.

she begins up in the air, you have to use the bomb on the shield to get her to drop, probly a good idea to kill the three mobs around her before you do too.

TIP: the quest item is looted by a box she drops on the floor upon death, if somsone else kills her you can also loot your box (altho it might have been a glitch), i helped an ali (im H) kill her and i was able to loot it (she had flaged it first)

My sister and I are having the same issue - we can't talk to the dragon to get there and already have the Coldarra FP as well so that may be the problem.

You don't get on a dragon to do this part - you get on the dragon for the next part in the chain...

In this part, you just go the center blue ring, use the detonator, kill the caster, loot the box, and go turn it in at Amber Ledge.

Did this quest 3 times now... I throw the bomb, Inquisitor Salrand yells and comes down, I kill her, she instantly despawns even though her body is sparkly showing loot, the box appears and I am unable to loot the quest item from it. The little gear thing shows up but right clicking the box does nothing. Looks like it might be bugged at least on my server.

I just tried it a 4th time and tried to loot her corpse real fast before it despawned but it said I didn't have permission to loot it and it faded away. Once again the box is unlootable.

Inquisitor Salrand is floating in the middle of one of the platforms at 42,39. When you throw the bomb, her shield will drop and you can kill her.

If someone else tags her, don't worry. A chest will drop on the ground after she dies and anyone can loot it.

Donathan on Amber Ledge has tasked you with using the Beryl Shield Detonator to bring down the shield at Beryl Point. You are then to defeat Salrand and collect the key she holds.
