Beryl Sorcerers can be found in Beryl Point at 41,38. At approximately 25%, you can use the binder you were provided to capture him.

Basically all you have to do is use the Arcane Binder on a Beryl Sorcerer with low health.

It's actually around 40% you can capture them.

Just to clarify: You can't capture mobs that are tagged by others.

Your log will say: "Bery Sorcerer can now be captured" around 30% or so. Be carefull not to kill it, so mind the DoTs on it as the binder has a 2 sec cast time.

Once chained up, can you keep the sorcerer as a 'pet' for ever, or is there a hidden time limit or something?

I did this quest, turned it in, then went to do The Art of Persuasion and get some info out of the mage... but... the mage went poof and vanished, so now I have Persuasion with no possibility of completing it.

Any ideas as to how I can rectify this? I've sent a ticket into a GM, they gave the typical "no hints" premade response.

If anyone has had this same experience please let me know how you fixed this. I'd like to complete every Northrend quest, and this is killing that possibility for me.

Really weird, I got the quest, walked to the area and poof, quest complete. I was in a group, but they weren't near me at the time.

you can mount with the prisoner trailing behind you, no problem.
he doesnt have to be next to you to complete the quest.

When I first came across these mobs, I was wondering why there were no females (since there are M/F versions of virtually every humanoid mob in the game where gender makes a difference in appearance), then I got this quest (Abduction!) and realized how much control and momentum feminist organizations have over everything. Not saying anything or taking sides, just giving you a thought to ponder about.

At the Quest giver Librarian Donathan 45,33 do an about face and go straight to 45,36 Follow blue torches down the hill and hang a left. You will run into Beyrl Sorcerers almost immediately 43,40

If you're level a million like me, and punch these poor sorcerers for ten billion trillion damage even with all gear unequipped:

You can use Soft Foam Sword to instantly get them within "wounded" range.

The sword can be bought from the toy shop in the south-west of WotLK Dalaran.
