To scout the Spire of Blood, go to the top floor of the spire.

NOTES:
Spire of Blood requires you to go up, into the building. When you are walking up the Spire, you will come to a doorway that leads down, with two staircases leading up to either side. Go up either way and then into the upper level of the building to receive credit.

Spire of Decay & Spire of Pain require you to go into the building. Just go straight in.

sindce today you can also wear the cape before you enter, then its fairly easy to do it... all mobs disappear except the big trolls... wich are lvl 71 and easy to take out

Note that rogues can still stealth & distract the Abominations while wearing the cloak (it phases you), to make matters even easier. Mounting is also possible without calling extra attention to yourself.

Tip: if you equipped your back at the village. just re equip the back.

or u wont scout the spire's.

You have to see a blurry blue environment . Once u have been attacked you will see normal again. Re-equip the back again and you can scout again.

Be careful about putting on the cape before you enter the tunnel as it probably won't work. You can tell if the cape is working because your screen goes a sort of misty blue.

lol, you must equip the cloak after you step in the temple city zone. Otherwise you won't get credit for completing though you are in the right place.

For the Spire of Blood you need to be on the first floor, not like the other Spires where you could walk straight in and get the objective done.

You must reequip the shroud in order to receive the effect again.

I didn't realize it was a equipped item at first, so I was left searching through my bags for it.

If you have a combat pet summoned, I suggest you dismiss it, as it's not covered by the shroud. It's pretty annoying to be tagget "in combat" without any enemies around you! Not to mention that you can't mount!

You can do everything you can do in "normal" which means, cast spells, mount and what ever you want to do.

After you put the cloak on, you no longer see the scourge (except for Abominations). You also do not seem to see characters from the opposing faction. Not sure about other players of the same faction -- didn't try it. If anyone else can add confirmation, that would be better.

I ran into an issues doing this quest. You have to be not on a flying mount and in the city when you equip the cloak and stay dismounted until you get the objective complete message. If you fly into the Spire and then equip you will not get credit. If your on a flying mount in the city and equip your cloak then fly into the spire you will not get credit. Took me a little bit to figure that out but.

Completed this quest today as 73 Rogue with cold weather flying manual from main, was able to equip whilst mounted and fly into each area to get the "scout" part of quest, also got 8000XP simply from discovering Temple City and then each spire, with the 24,360 XP from the quest (Heirloom bonus). For a sub 1 minute quest this is some good going.

I got to the first area, not knowing I had to use the costume. So once I realized that, I used it. I didn't know that the abominations could still attack me. After I killed him, I could not find the costume anywhere. I could not get another from quest giver. I abandoned and restarted to get a new one. On my way to the last one I had to walk up some stairs with an abomination on each side. One of them got me, and again I lost it. So, I am now on my way to do it for the third time. So, just remember, don't get attacked.

I myself thought this quest was bugged, as I couldn't get credit for scouting the Spire of Blood, however you need to scout the top room, and not the bottom room of the Spire of Blood in order to get credit.
Also fellow hunters, with the ability to use flying mounts in northrend at lvl 68, your pet WILL NOT be dismissed for you if you put on this cloak while you're on your flying mount. I learned the hard way, and my pet was being attacked by random invisible mobs, which made trying to mount up while being stuck in combat quite annoying.

Taken from Thottbot,

if you are attacked you will not be able to scout any of the towers unless you swap out the cloak you were given, and then swap it back in. You need to have the grey wavy view before it tags each tower.

For other 2 spires, run in to the center of the spire. For Spire of blood, go to the 2nd level.

your map will have arrows as to which direction each tower is. also, you can mount and stay cloaked!

Ran around and around could not get this quest to say scouted.....

Found out you need to make sure your on the top leave of the spire...

The cords I got when doing this were close to those posted below except for the Spire of Pain. At the point I got the completion message I was @ (89.2, 28.8) the 89,20 posted had me looking way off from where it was. If someone would like to double check this & post if it is correct I'm sure it would be helpful.

If you lose the effect for whatever reason, it is an equip effect. Remove the shroud and drop it in you bags. Then re-equip, and you will have the effect back.

As others have said, hunters, dismiss your pets for this quest. It will not blend in with you and will draw aggro.

Descrizione

Sage Aeire has finished the shroud. Take it with you and travel to the Temple City of En'kilah. Don the cloak within the city's bounds to hide yourself from most of the Scourge there. This will be our best opportunity to gather information about the enemy's fortifications and leaders.

While wearing the cloak, scout the three large spires on the grounds of the city. While the shroud will shield you from most of the Scourge, the En'kilah abominations will be able to find you if you get too close.
